I decided to try this nail salon fir my dip nails as I wasnt completely satisfied with the prior salon. The color choices for dip powder was amazing and there were more colors than Ive seen before. Kim did an amazing job on my nails! She was attentive and gentle. She made sure my nails looked amazing! 100% better than the first salon.. I am definitely returning, and I will bring my daughter for a pedicure next time.

Im so glad I came to OQ after a different salon did a poor job on my nails. Oanh completely fixed them with perfect dipped nails, reshaped, and did an incredibly cute hand painted design. I was so impressed and I cant wait to come back!!

Kim was so flexible and accommodating in making an appointment for me even though it wasnt necessary. And she saw me very close to closing time and was so patient and stayed as long as was necessary to do a very careful and beautiful job on my nails. I came back the next day for a pedicure and again, she was lovely and she is an artist at selecting color and shaping your nail and giving me an end product that was exactly what I was looking for.

I love Oahn at OQ Nails she does great acrylic and designs. She always shapes my nails so perfectly. Heres a pic of my latest set.

My pedi was amazing. Usually I only get that but I thought today Id get a Mani as well. I wanted black nail polish and I know it can get tricky but it ended up being a bit wonky. I felt so bad asking the tech to paint the whole nail because I could still see bits. In the end it was an eh Mani, it looks grown out already. I felt bad asking to correct it once and then twice that I couldnt bear to do it again. Black is hard to do. Will 100% go back for a pedi as Ive never had a bad one there.

Kim and Oanh are wonderful. This salon is very reasonably priced. If you’d like a more graphic heavy or creative design, ask for Oanh. She put these together for me a few weeks ago

I live down the street and decided to try my luck as a walk-in. I’m glad I did! The manager and nail tech were very accommodating and nice. I asked for a simple manicure and some nail art. They picked the colors and we were good to go! They have plexiglass windows in each station and seem to keep up with Covid guidelines. I’m very happy with my nails and I will definitely go back since they are so close!

My boyfriend and I came in with no appointment and we were sat down getting our manis within 10 minutes. Every employee was very sweet and professional and did a beautiful job. We left feeling very pampered. Would definitely come back!

Don’t waste your time. I came into this shop to get white SNS Nails done before my bridal shower and I told them this. They ended up looking crooked and SO Messy. Not to mention pedicure was rushed and sloppy too. So the owner said I fix for you then proceeded to tell me that the person who did my nails didnt even work there and was just filling in for someone. Seriously?! I wasnt pleased when she fixed them at all but the owner promised me that the next time my sns nails would be free since I was so unhappy. I called before I came in and asked if I could come In for my nails and she said yeah come on in! When I get there I had to wait an hour...and yet again let down with the quality. It took about 2 hours to do my nails. And of course when i go to leave the owner yelled and tried to say she never told me my nails would be free this time. But she definitely did, otherwise why would I risk having sloppy nails again? Its been so hard finding a good nail shop here in Portland. The search continues, I wont be back again. awful service and worst customer service. Wasted money here!

Fabulous pedicure!!! She really took her time and was thorough. My heels were in desperate need of a scrub and she put in work with great care. The deluxe pedi is the way to go💗

The lady that started my pedicure didn’t understand that I had ingrown toenails, so another lady came to clip them and she didn’t know either. They didn’t use the scrubber hardly and didn’t put lotion on my feet, I felt like I paid for nothing. The ladies that did my toes didn’t know what they were doing, I left unhappy. Not going back

The ladies at OQ Nails are not only talented, but very kind and gentle with fingers and toes. They also make brows look their best. I really like the massage chairs that lull you into relaxed state of tension release.Their rates are very reasonable and have a large selection of colors to choose.

I go here all the time, the ladies are really chill and great nail technicians. Not to mention their pricing is killer.

Wonderful friendly staff and good prices for a good job. I don’t get anything fancy so can’t speak to that but their organic pedi offers a massage with hot stone rocks for a very affordable price, and I always enjoy my visit here.

I went because my friend said they give amazing pedicures. Which they might, however when it comes to nails they are over priced for the quality of work preformed. I asked for thin so they look more natural and the nail tech, Kim put too little of product on my nails. You can see nail tip because there is no product protecting it. My nails were crooked. I had to file them myself. She didn’t clean under the nail and left everything underneath nail sticking to my skin so much that it looked like I chewed my acrylic nails to the skin. She was in such a rush I wish she would have just said she wasn’t available at the time so I didn’t waist my money. I don’t recommend them for nails.

Stopped in for the first time todayto have Ouan do a dip set. I was immediately impressed with their Covid measures- immediately when you come in, they have you use hand sanitizer, take your temperature and have you fill out a Covid questionnaire. Both Ouan and Kim wore masks the entire time, didn’t touch their face or adjust their masks and spaced customers far apart. Beyond that, though, Ouan also did amazing work! She didn’t rush through even with another customer waiting. This will definitely be my go to salon going forward. Thank you, Kim and Ouan!

Fast and friendly service. I got the dip nails which are better for your actual nail bed. They have always treated me nicely. Even fixed my cracked nail and didnt charge me. Will love a returning customer for sure.

Omg, you guys, this place is the best. I got a facial from Snow and she didnt leave any stone unturned. She just pushed 30 years of city crud out of my face. Do yourself a favor and go here. Your body will thank you. Very nice staff. Great prices, too.

This place is awesome. I called in pretty soon before close and she told me to go ahead and come in even though I was getting a full set which takes atleast an hour to do. Kim was Super sweet, and did my nails better than anyone has. She really listened to what it was that I wanted and did exactly that. I would highly recommend this place! :-)

This place has gone so downhill. I just got a pedicure. The tech was brusque and downright unfriendly. I chose not to pay for an upgrade to a deluxe pedi and she didnt rub any lotion on my feet or anything. She got polish on the top of my foot and only removed it when I pointed it out. She got up and walked away when she finished without a word.This salon used to be really good. Im extremely disappointed at what it appears to have become.

Got a pedicure with my partner. He was done first and they asked him to move so another person could get their nails done. Then they had to move him again. I get it, they need to maximize profits but they lost a customer in the process.The pedicure itself wasnt great either. Most of the polish to choose from was old and clumpy. My polish chipped within the week. Yes, within days.The place was really popular though, actually the woman that ended up sitting in my boyfriend spot raved about it. I might try it again.

I really love coming here. Ive been coming for some time and feel so special when I return!! They have my favorite color of shellac, too! Sometimes it takes a bit of time but I believe they are worth the wait!! A great mani or pedi for a nice price!

I got a set of nails here and I thought that they were really good while I was going. However, I just found out that the method that they use (dipping nails in the powder) is actually really harmful for nails. I stopped going after I went to have the nails removed, and they just ripped them off without soaking them first. They said, its quicker this way. OMG, yes its faster, but it really hurt and I was scared the whole time it was happening. I had never had a set of fake nails, so I didnt know what was right or not until I asked technicians at a couple other places. I used to recommend people here, but not anymore.

Will not be coming back here, probably the worst pedicure I have ever received. The woman was not paying attention and kept filling my skin, she then proceeded to cut my toenail after me telling her twice to only file and said she forgot. She was rough and jerking me around the whole time. She didnt even scrub my feet I had to ask for it it. Then messed up my polish by setting the dryer directly on top of it and was trying to tell the other staff member it was my fault because I kept wiggling my toes, which was absolutely not the case. The manacurist I think was the manager and she did a really nice job on my nails and was being very nice and apologetic about everything or I would have just left 1 star.

I asked for a Mani/Pedi. The water for my pedicure was COLD. I told them, they only cut off the cold and continued to fill it with warm water. (Didnt do anything, but fill up the tub, with semi warm water. She finally drained the water, then proceeded to fill it with ONLY hot water. (I should have left then) She didnt scrub my feet, nor rub/massage them. She just keep patting them.There was no water for my manicure. She only clipped/filed my nails. The color I picked I was told wouldnt show. THEY chose my nail color. When I asked for another coat, I was told No. It wont look good I messed up one of my toe nails, and asked for it to be fixed. When she came over to fix it, instead of asking which one...or even taking the few seconds to actually look for the messed up one she just put another coat ON THE WRONG ONE. I told her which one was actually messed up. She didnt remove the polish that was already messed up, she simply painted over it.

Nah. the technician buffed my nail with one of those pink scruffers and then applied gel. the gel started chipping the next day. i haven’t had my nails done in awhile but at places i’d been before, they used the grinding stone on the nail bed to get it to stick better. manicure was good, she got all the cuticle skin off, but my nails were misshapen. won’t be back. :(

Of all the nail places Ive been in the SE, this is my favorite. I always get Shellac and it has chipped quickly at other places, but always lasts 2+ weeks from OQ. Plus theyre nice and do a thorough job.

I never do bad reviews but this was deserving. Worst mani and pedi I’ve ever had. They weren’t busy at all, had several people working and rushed through the service. They didn’t clean up my cuticles before painting, and they did the mani and pedi at the same time- not relaxing. The nail polish was so thick it still isn’t dry after a more than an hour, I’ll just have to wipe it off. Total waste of money.

The lady kept wanting/telling me to get extras and the atmosphere is horrible and unwelcoming. I just got white nails and they look horrible. There are bubbles in my nail polish. ONE STAR!!! Please don’t go there.

Shellac manicure - not the best Ive ever had, but it looks fine and they were very nice and autoclave their equipment.

Highly recommend trying a different nail salon. The place was slow so the lady bullied me into deluxe instead of classic for a pedi. Then she acted annoyed and rushed through my manicure because they got busy. The shape of my nails was horrible, she only put one coat on my pinky and I had nail polish all over my fingers that she didnt completely remove. I went home a removed it because it looked so bad. Try elsewhere.

Ive been going to this place for mani/pedis since 2013. I get consistently good service though Im always a walk-in, and the only things I get teasingly chided about are forgetting my nail kit or biting my cuticles on the rare occasions that happens. The shellac I get looks good for 2-3 weeks. Doesnt mean that some of the nails dont develop scratches or small bubbles, but I dont care about that considering it happens rarely and Im hard on my hands.Its pretty clear when theyre supervising someone new. Usually they let me know if thats the case. If I ask questions they offer their expertise, which I appreciate because I know next to nothing about nail grooming and what colors look good with what skin tone. When theyre applying a color and are unsure about it, they apply one coat to a nail and verify its what I want. Sometimes Im unsure about a color I chose and they tell me that with 2-3 coats itll look OK, and theyre right. Theres always a thorough foot or hand massage during whichever service Im getting. Some of the techs have strong hands and its almost a deep tissue massage, others have a touch thats more like a light Swedish. They listen to me when I have weird requests like not removing the calluses on my feet. They do always try to upsell services like the organic pedi, but thats business and a couple of no thank yous if I dont want to take them up on it and they move on.Ive never had a problem with the personnel here. The most flak Ive ever gotten was from a customer and her granddaughter who were talking about me within my earshot as I was having a shellac mani done. The grandmother was explaining, over and above the explanation most kids would need and sliding into the gossip/trash talk realm, that I was getting fake nails put on, like I was having acrylics done or something? Like theres anything wrong with acrylics anyway? Not the case, but whatever. The nail tech and I ignored her and she left without fanfare.Four stars because the nail painting part of the pedicure can be hit or miss, mediocre (like I could do it myself at home as well mediocre) or great. Depends on the technician and the day.Thanks for the great service!

This place is so extra! Everytime i go, i wonder if everything that im getting is part of the package because its so deluxe. The sugar scrub, massage, wax masque, hot towel... thats before my toes get painted. Thats like 5 spots right in a cluster, but OQ is the spot you want. Im so relaxed yall!!

Ive gone there with my boyfriend twice for Manis and Pedis and we love this place!Their shellac lasts a long time and when I asked to this glitter speckled stuff over my toenails she took time to make sure it was even and perfect. Our new fav spot for a mani pedi

I have come here before and had great service with Oahn and one other girl, but not this time around and Im talking about the manager, LILY!I scheduled an appointment for my two younger cousins to get their first mani (ages 10 and 8) Lily who is the manager answered the phone and I asked how much kids manis are and she said $10. We come on our schedule appointment day which was valentines day (Sunday) and the person I scheduled with (Oahn) was not even working that day and was not told this on the phone..So we waited 20 minutes past our appointment time. My cousins picked out their polish, one wanted 2 colors and the other wanted 3 colors. As they are doing the girls nails the two older woman who usually only do pedicures were doing my cousins nails, grunting, making rude snarky remarks and blaming my kid cousins more messing up the nails when they were not even moving... so I proceed to ask the older lady to fix the mistake she makes, then she blames it on my cousin when she did NOTHING.. My other cousin was getting her nails done with 3 colors and it was MESSY I had to ask the lady to clean the edges because there was polish everywhere. As Im standing keeping a look out for my cousins (since i had to do so) LILY said to me so since they are getting multiple colors, this is considered a design I thought really? since when? Then she said we care going to charge you $20 instead of $17.50 and she asked if that was ok, I then proceeded to say Yes, for both of the girls, right? and she said YES! So they finish and just left us sitting there, not checking to see if the nails are dry and didnt even turn on the light for my other cousins nails to dry.. She wrote me up a bill for 20 and said it was just for one,.... WHAT? all you did was paint their nails, no soaking of the nails, no cutting the nails down, no hand massage why am I being charged $17.50 for one child and $20 for the other? When LILY first told me $10 (when I called) per kid and then $17.50, Then $20 together once we arrived. She changed her price 3 times after the older woman were complaining Im assuming in their own language. This is crazy to be charged this much for kids for a polish change, there was no design at all. I will NOT be back here, I would suggest a new manager. I will be telling everyone I know not to come here and make it a point to do so. Lily was not cool at all and when I asked her to explain why Im being charged so much and why she changed her price so many times, she talked to me like I was stupid, in a real slow tone of voice and said I was charged more because more polish is considered a design... So I paid a $37.50 for two KIDS (8 yrs and 10 yrs) to get their nails painted. Let me not forget the looks and smirks I received when they saw I didnt leave a tip.. please! you got your tip included in the price you charged me.. get outta here with that. Horrible customer service, horrible place that is super money hungry. It sucks that my cousins had to witness such horrible service for their first mani I mean FIRST polish change in a so called professional establishment.
