Everyone that works there is super kind, and the environment is super welcoming + they have free food/drinks/mimosas while you wait! Brazilians are well priced for the area and service is professional and efficient. Sydney was great!

Parking can be a little tricky but it is such a nice location! Perfect spot to get a wax and then go grab some food or drink k nearby.

This was my first time at this location.Staff was very nice, but I felt dismissed when I pointed out my skin not looking right. I was informed the look of razer burn would go away with in a few hours...its been over 5 hours it looks ten times worse and hurts. I also had wax still on my butt after that stuck to my pants. I have gone to other urban waxxs and never had a result this bad, even on the first time I got waxed. If I wanted what feels like razer burn I would have just shaved.

I have been going to urban Waxx for quite some time and have never had a bad experience, until this time. I brought a friend with me and we both got Brazilians. Mine was at 7:30 hers was at 7:15. I got taken into mine early right after my friend got taken in. My wax was flawless as usual and took only 20 minutes MAX! My friend did not have the same luck she was in the room for an hour and came out with heat rashes and was in so much pain. Which is super unusual. After a day or two thinking it’d get better for her it got worse. She had heat sores and in grown hairs everywhere. To the point she couldn’t go out in a swimsuit on our Vegas trip. She is so upset. I’m not sure if her girl was new and didn’t know what she was doing? Or if there was a different issue. I love urban waxx but this was not okay.

I’ve been coming to UrbanWaxx NW for years. Every experience has been 10/10. Appointments are timely and if you arrive early you get to relax and have some champagne or wine! Everyone who works there is professional and personable and they are as loyal to their regulars as we are to them! Psyche is an excellent esthetician! She keeps my wax painless and my brows perfectly tinted. We always have insightful conversation and I have learned a lot from her. I also love the product selection at Urban Waxx. Their in-house product “serious serum” is like a miracle potion. Not only does it help with ingrowns, but also rids blemishes within a day, and keeps your skin smooth all over. I buy something new almost every visit. Rowan at the front desk is very knowledgeable about the products and always gives me great recommendations! I’ve loved everything I’ve purchased from Urban Waxx. Plus there is a loyalty program so every once in awhile I can use my points towards products or services. It’s nice to be recognized when you walk in. I’ve been since the covid-19 pandemic and they made me feel safe and all the employees were well protected. Their reopening was well thought out. I’d expect nothing less!

This place is great. They use hard wax (less painful) and all of the girls are good at what they do. They also have a great line of high end skincare and beauty products that I haven’t seen other places. Wine and sweets are also available while waiting. The only thing is they book up fast, but that’s cause they are good at what they do!

How can these guys keep me laughing as they wax? Sierra Cartwright made my day turning a somewhat awkward service into a lovely relaxing occasion. Plus somehow it didnt hurt! I would highly recommend! Update 1/7/20: Still 5 stars! All the staff seem lovely. Today I met with Anna M, and again felt comfortable and welcome. Thanks Urban Waxx!

Having to write this horrible review is painstakingly difficult for me as I am still not over the shock of having had my brows mutilated yesterday by Reed Villegas at the NW location. What I don’t understand is that this was the 4th time that I have gone to her and had zero issues before. Yet, the time I decide to book an appt with her 4 days before I go on vacation, she decides to completely annihilate my eyes brows (which will take months to grow back). The worst part is that she tried to cover it up by dying my skin since I was also getting a brow tint. I didn’t find out how bad the they were until that night when I washed my face and the dye rubbed off my skin. The following day they look even worse. Thankfully the salon was at least sympathetic when I called and they did give me a full refund, however, now I have skinny/uneven brows right before vacation and it will take several months for them to grow back. Needless to say I will not be going back ever again.

If you enjoy being treated poorly and having misshaped and sparse eyebrows than youve found the right place – Urban Waxx is for you. However, if you prefer professionalism and nicely shaped eyebrows you may want to find another business. Never again!

Efficiency and great service

They were able to sqeeze us I. Last minute for a brow wax, the waxer was very kind and funny, not overly talkitive not too quiet, just right in the middle. The woman who checked us in was absent, cold and inarticulate. The service was good though.

The staff is always polite and courteous. All of the spaces are clean and tidy.

Incompetent front staff. Have a busy schedule? Don’t expect them to know how to reschedule things correctly or accommodate you after they screw up.

It’s my first time here in Portland. I’m very particular with the waxing service. Quality is always important. When I found UrbanWaxx, it seems like they have a promising service and I like the review. I want to find a right salon for me where I can be their regular customer and build relationship with them. So I chose Urban Waxx and booked May 29 @ 12:15pm. I have my hopes up high that they will serve better.The staff are very great, friendly and accommodating... I got my Full Legs + Brazilian and Glutes till 1:30pm so almost an hour and half. After the session, one thing I forgot to book is my half arm so I asked my esthetician if she can do extra and she asked the receptionist if there’s enough time or someone who can do it. It seems like my esthetician doesn’t want to work anymore because her off is at 2pm. And I understand that it’s by appointment only, so they said they have another open slot at 3pm. So it’s not a big deal and I can do it another time.But the most disappointing part is that my esthetician missed most of the back. My brazilian waxing is not clean, I got hairs left and I am very frustrated. I don’t think they can fix it since they are very strict in the timing. Out of respect, I just left and I had to go to Marjory May to fix what Urbanwaxx can’t do. I’m very upset.I guess Urbanwaxx important value is time and speed, not the quality. It’s so disappointing to have this experience especially if it’s a new customer. It could’ve been better. I hope I could take back my gratuity atleast.

I got my first bikini wax there years ago and the one time but went somewhere else because it was last min before a vacation thing I totally regretted it. Ive seen a few different estheticians at Urban Wax, they were all super friendly and did a great job. Currently I see Gretchen and I really appreciate that she is fun to talk because it makes what can be a quite a uncomfortable experience painless and a breeze. I also need to mention that the front desk is beyond great as well. I screwed up and missed a couple of appointments due to some drama in my life and they were totally sweet and understanding about it. I would have understood if they werent, im a hair stylist so I know how frustrating it is when someone doesnt show. Anyway if you know whats good for you youll Go to Urban Wax (but dont miss your appointment because its rude ;)!
