I had a good experience with the first treatment but my second treatment I was extremely sick and apparently left a message with the wrong person. When shyanne contacted me I was still in bed very sick and asleep. As soon as I saw the message I explained the mixup and said I didnt have a problem paying a fee if there was one. I was told I would need to pay for the entire missed session. I am driving over an hour for the treatments and my first treatment was cut short and then to find out during covid that I would still be required to pay for the entire treatment cause I was being considerate by not coming while extremely sick ( not covid thankfully!) Kinda made me sad. It was explained to me that this was told to me in the consult where I was hardly spoken too at all, just treated and it was sent on the appointment reminder card which I did not receive. I honestly feel like even if you miss an appointment these treatments are not cheap and if its the first time and Im still being told I need to pay for the entire treatment that was missed without fair warning of this in anyway is not acceptable. I took my business elsewhere because I feel like if your charging more than a doctor without telling your clients they will be charged that much in advance your choosing poor business practices:( so moral here if you have to miss an appointment your going to still be paying for it. Sad day. Not a good way to keep your clients on top of hearing from multiple other clients there is alot of scheduling errors here. Good luck guys.

Eastside Electrology is the BEST electrolysis provider Ive ever been to. Tangee is amazing, highly skilled, and offers the friendliest and most professional service. They use the best equipment and achieve great results. I would 100% recommend.

Shyanne is amazing! I had a horrible experience at another electrologist, but she put me at ease and calmed my fear, she was not only faster than my previous electrologist but less expensive. The office is also kept very clean much better than the place I went previously. Highly recommend!

I have tried 3 other electrologist in the Portland area. Shyanne is hands down the best I have been to. It feels great to finally find an electrologist that is this good.

I rarely write reviews but this deserves one. Shyanne is a sweet girl and does a great job but her scheduling lacks discipline. Twice I have shown up for a late-in-the-day appointment and she has not been there because she forgot to write it down or put it on the wrong day. Portland traffic is REALLY bad late in the day. Top it off, this time I was coming from across the river because I moved. She offers to see me at no charge, which is absolutely the right thing to do, but only at her convenience. I once rearranged my schedule so she could see me at a different time than the one I had scheduled because she had a schedule mix up. She did not offer this to me this time. I know mistakes happen and Im usually a forgiving person but not this time. Not after I arranged my entire day so that I could see her when she was available and then have her not show.

I’ve been seeing Shyanne for a year and I’m so excited about the progress I’ve made so far, when I first started seeing Shyanne I was coming in once a week and was tweezing almost daily I was so tired of dealing with the hairs and now I only see her once a month for a few stray hairs here and there, I had seen a few other electrologists prior to my visit and they were flakey or damaged my skin, or would try to upsell me, Shyanne really listens to what her clients want and took the time to answer all my questions. I’m a traveling nurse as well so my schedule is all over the place and she’s been very accommodating of my ever changing schedule without any problems! I’ve already recommended her to some of my friends and family members, this review is long overdue! I highly recommend her to anyone suffering from hairy faces!

Ive had over 40 hours worth of work from Tangee and I highly recommend her. She is very good and faster than any other place Ive been. Ive never had any problem with scheduling appointments. Private and comfortable atmosphere. I cant say enough good things about her.

I went to see Tangee for a consultation about 3 - maybe 4 years ago when I saw her sign at the spa I was going to for hair cuts and massages. My female beard and mustache were really becoming a source of anxiety for me. I had tried waxing but it made my face break out in acne so bad it was worse than the hair. I went for a consult for laser but they were concerned I would have scaring problems with my sensitive skin, plus I had read that it wasnt really a permanent solution. I was worried that electrolysis would be more pain than I could bear but my old lady whiskers were way more than I could deal with.Tangee gave me a free consult where she let me experience what it would feel like to get electrolysis. She was honest with me - that it was not a quick fix. In order to eliminate my whiskers every single hair folicle has to be destroyed (that is what electrolysis does). The process is extremely tedious (think how small those needles must be and how many hair folicles we have!). After my consult with her and finding that the pain (pain is not a good word for it, maybe discomfort would be better) was totally not as bad as I expected, I decided to start having regular treatments.What I REALLY liked about Tangee is she did not play games with me - she started with my worst whiskers first, didnt just do sections - but went for the most obnoxious hairs first - within just a few months I was so much more comfortable in my skin! After a couple of years of twice monthly treatments I was really comfortable that I didnt HAVE to go anymore - but I still go once a month because I have a lot of hair on my face, brows etc and I love that once its gone it is GONE FOREVER!I have never personally known anyone that had laser hair removal so I dont know if it works - but I feel very blessed that I was told up front that I could end up scarred if I tried it.In my opinion it takes a very special person to do electrolysis. To me it would be way too much work for the money. Tangee is a gift to all of us that deal with unwanted hair - I spent a lifetime fighting my heritage and unwanted facial hair. Now, as I move past middle age and know my eyesight will fade (especially the close up stuff) it is such a relief to know I will not be one of those unknowingly bearded ladies that children make fun of.
