I applied with this company through Indeed.com and was contacted by a recruiter named Jennifer. She set up the interview for me to meet with a supervisor. After the interview I was offered the position and everything went smoothly and as detailed over the phone. I was just hired on with the company and could not be more thankful for Jennifers help.

The position they set me up with was great and was with a great company. Unfortunately, Resource Staffing refused to follow Oregon state law and didnt provide me with my final paycheck (after giving more than 2 weeks notice) on my final day of work. When I brought this up the owner told me This is the last time I am going to talk to you about this. (when I had never even spoken with her before) and refused to cut a check the same day. If the owner themselves cant have any customer service skills why would you trust a company like this to provide customer service positions?Edit:In reply to the owners response, no accommodation was needed. What was needed was for your company to follow the law of the state you operate in without having to be told to do so. I provided 2 weeks notice and my last day of work was on a weekday. I was told that it was unreasonable to provide a paycheck on my final day. That complaint would have best been taken to your lawmakers and it had no bearing on your willingness to be educated on the law and follow it.

Wow. Not only did they throw me in a place filled with felons. But when I received my check it was only $39. And claimed I worked for 4 hours. I put in 15 hours at $12 an hour. That is illegal. Highly unprofessional. No one should be recommended here.

After I was hired on by a client of Resource Staffing, I was asked to review the service and process. I was more than happy to take a moment and to be up front about my experience. I registered on-line with Kara Petersen and was interviewed over the phone. I was told the position in detail, benefits and that I would be submitted for an interview with their client. Kara followed the next day and let me know I had been selected to interview at US. I met Kara on-site at USF and had a brief conversation with her reviewing the position and hiring manager - What USF was looking for in an employee. I filled out additional paperwork and then interviewed with a USF Manager. They ended up hiring someone else, but Kara said she would keep in contact about other positions. She called me a week later with an opportunity at Kroger and I accepted. She let me know I didnt need to interview for this position and that Kroger trusted her to select the right candidate. After I started she followed up and kept in contact. I have a good job now and I liked working with Kara. My one criticism would be the paperwork - It does take a long time to fill out and it would be better if the entire document was on-line with the basic application.Other than that, I would recommend Kara and Resource

Complete waste of time. I replied to a craigslist advert for a position at Kroger company that advertised the wage to be 15 p/h and within minutes I received a call from Monica who gave me a brief phone interview. She wanted me to come down for an interview within the hour explaining that she was only taking interviews for this position today and today only. Admittedly I was unprepared not expecting a reply so soon and didnt think that perhaps she was being a little to eager to interview me. I arrived at this place called Resource Staffing Services and thought ahh damn, its one of those pre screening places, regardless I went to the front desk explaining that I had an interview with Monica. She asked for my ID which I provided and asked me to take a seat. She came back with a pile of paperwork which took me half an hour to complete but I noticed she was also juggling other applicants (for the same position or for another I wasnt too sure). As I completed my paperwork I came to the part about wages and taxes which sent alarm bells ringing. I hadnt even been interviewed yet! Why was I filling out all this new hire information now when I dont even have the job? After I completed the paper work they made me wait in the lobby so they could start me on a data entry test which I completed in three minutes but the whole ordeal plus waiting in the lobby took about two and a half hours. Finally Monica brought me into an interview room where there was no member of Kroger present, she told me the same deal that I see on a lot of other reviews of this place: “good company, plenty of room for growth from within.” etc. And she asked me if I could work this certain time schedule as she was looking at a sheet of paper in her hand. I asked if I could look at it and she said; “Its confidential information.” Huh? If its related to my future job dont you think I have a right to look at it? Either way she gave me a Kroger employee handbook that I read whilst she drug tested me and gave me a final form to sign which in a nutshell stipulated Resource Staffing Services will be paying you, not Kroger, and that Resource staffing solutions get a portion of my pay per hour. I was not happy but took the stinking job hoping Id hear back from one of the dozens of other applications Id sent out earlier (which I did the next day). Then get this, this is the best part. I received a call from Monica three days later asking if I received her email regarding my first training shift. I told her no and told her my email address to confirm, to which she said “Im on my other cell phone to the office, Im going to put the two phones together so just tell Denise what you just told me.” I couldnt believe it. Youre that useless and unprofessional you cant repeat it let alone jot it down on a piece of paper and you think mashing the cell phones together is actually going to work? From that moment I was done. This place is a joke. I messaged Denise my email for a laugh and in the email they called me Jay. Suffice to say I didnt go to my training shifts. These people have the whole employment process completely upside down.

A recruiter by the name of Monica called about a Rate Audit position. She was not well prepared and did not look over my resume or reference paperwork at all. Was more worried about me being drug and criminal status free than what my skills were. I finally just said that I needed to end the call as it was not a good fit and she replied, Oh I agree, you would not be at all. How would she know. She didnt even do her homework. I really wish these staffing agencies would put on the ad that they are just that. Most are a complete waste of time.

You wont know youre applying for a temporary position until you pull up to the sketch storefront in a strip mall. Walk inside and breathe in the stale winds of disappointment, as a sad list of middle aged individuals line the windowed wall with clipboards, signing away their self respect. The front desk ladies I interacted with were fine, and then I met with the recruiters. Cheap suits, cheesy jewelry and soft bodies that have obviously never seen a true day of the difficult work they recruit for. They sent me to United Salad Co., guaranteeing the work wasnt going to break me down like my last job - this place respects their workers.I showed up for $12 an hour ready to work in the freezers. It was pure chaos. They begin by telling us of all the OSHA safety violations theyve been trying to cut back on and that it is hard work. It will be from 10 to 12 hours a night, or until the job is done. I began to get a little worried, but maybe it wasnt as bad as all that.My recruiter calls me and asks how it went. I politely lie and say it seems alright, that Ill give it a shot, the interviewer was a nice guy. The next Monday I show up for work, ready to have my ass kicked. I show up at the office and everyone looks at each other like theyve never seen me before. I tell them Im from Resource, they all look at each other and one gentleman says hell show me where to go. We walk to the floor as the forklifts are flying by, the riding palletjacks shredding the pallets their sliding underneath to swing the groceries into the shipping lanes and get them on the trucks. It is a half a football field of concrete, produce and human mania at its finest. Everyone is yelling, I cant hear anything. I walk to the guy they pointed at as we came around the corner and go introduce myself. He had a mouth full of beechnut tobacco and let it drip from his lip as he shook my hand. He didnt speak much English. He said he was from Laos and that I wasnt going to last very long. He wasnt wrong. We worked together for about 15 minutes, flying from freezer to freezer picking off of our list of groceries like some manic shopping spree on amphetamine. When one pallet was done, he cut me loose because he was losing money by being with my slow self. I was trying my best. I have never felt inadequate in a warehouse. I had worked in them for almost a decade at that point, and let teams of individuals to specific success in our given tasks. We worked until around four in the morning, and I was wondering when my next break was going to come. I had been there since four in the afternoon and only had a lunch around midnight. They wouldnt let us go. We had to finish the shipment. The floor lead came on the intercom and told us to begin cleaning up. I was almost in tears for how happy I was to hear that, it was pure cruelty at this point. We are people who live in America. I dont expect this. Maybe because Im white, maybe because I have a sense of entitlement, maybe I think that I dont have to do work like this for as little money as was given, but I dont think that is it. Ive worked terrible jobs in the past. Ive burned, cut, and broken my body for companies, but this was unfair.I left the second night after ten hours. My shoulder gave out on me because of the riding palate jack. I was falling asleep on my feet. I heard another individual that started with me dislocated his shoulder that same night. Another was popping pain killers half way through his second night. This was no way to work.Stay away from places like this. Please. I know you have to pay your bills, but you are a person that deserves to be respected for your strengths and your skills. Dont be taken advantage by terrible little companies that take advantage of knowledgeable, but under educated individuals. Please respect yourself and stay away. We have suffered through, and we say no more.
