ProSearch is incredibly professional welcoming. Liz G. My recruiter explained every step of the job process and continually sent follow up emails. She answered my calls when I had specific questions and even noticed I had forgot a part of my pay paperwork to ensure I got paid on time!
Very accurate, organize company. Easy to deal with. Highly recommend.
Im from Pennsylvania and came to Maine with my boyfriend for his work. I reached out to ProSearch before coming out to see about finding a temporary position while I was here. Liz was very professional, courteous, efficient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. She made finding a job effortless on my part. I had offers as soon as I got out here and she guided me through everything necessary to begin working. I was placed in a great position, making great money. I honestly couldnt be more thrilled with my decision to contact them. I will definitely be getting in touch with them again next year when we come back out! I cant thank ProSearch and their phenomenal staff enough for all they have done for me!
This was my first recruiter experience with ProSearch and the best one. I was asked if I would be interested in a post and in a matter a couple of them. There was no pressure of course and information that was allowed to be shared with me was shared and when information could not be shared such as salary then they researched it for me for comparable position in same field in similar geographic region.Even when I made me decision, I was still encouraged to take the time to make the final decision and so the ProSearch was not simply connecting the dots but rather cared about my thoughts along with the employer, too.All in all, I was very happy with the service and professionalism.
I was fortunate to connect with ProSearch when I was leaving a company that I had been with for many years. Tim and Todd set me up with an interview that turned into a 2+ year contracting role. This role has recently transitioned to full time employment. The ProSearch team has provided great support and been responsive to my many questions when I was new to contracting. They also have been long term sponsors for the Agile Maine organization, one of several ways they contribute to the local community.
I had a awesome experience with ProSearch. Tim was extremely professional and easy to work with. By far the easiest experience I’ve had working with a recruiter.
So far have been pleased from day one to present my person of contact Rihanna has been very professional in every way I would recommend pro search to anyone. The people from pro search that work where I am a very nice we seem to get along very well great atmosphere great morale and Ive had great rapport with all. Thank you pro search.
The recruiter, Brennon reached out to me regarding a part time contract role. This was my first in the industry, and involved a leap of faith for me. Brennon and Pro Search went above and beyond to get me cleared for the assignment which lead to a full time employment offer. Thanks again Pro Search team for your responsiveness, professionalism and being such a joy to work with!
The recruiter, Liz Gallagher, reached out to me and we had a great conversation about my skills, experiences and the type of role I wanted to find. She did an amazing job of getting to know me and seeing the big picture of what I wanted. The next week she connected me with a job that is a perfect fit!
My individual experience with ProSearch was nothing but exceptional. The entire team works tirelessly to ensure proper placement for employees as well as employers. I cannot recommend them enough. Special thanks to Dave and Mary who go above and beyond to take exceptional care of candidates.
ProSearch is a great way to find a job near you. I contacted Dave asking for a temporary job for 2 months, and he made sure that I would be working at a safe and clean facility. Everyone working at the place I worked was extremely nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend ProSearch.
ProSeach reached out to me via Indeed and got me an interview with a temp job. They are very responsive and check on you periodically throughout your time with the company your contracting for. I would recommend.
My recruiter was very helpful in getting me placed. Wished me luck on my first day and also helped me through a challenging onboarding.
Prosearch was very responsive and helped to set up my internship time-card under MEMIC. Rhiana Leavitt is a 5 star employee!
I still can’t believe my good fortune at having been found by ProSearch. I’m very grateful for the position they placed me in and enjoy going to work every day! Thank you!
Very positive experience so far working with ProSearch.
This is my first time temping with Pro Search, and so far I’ve had a good experience. The representative I’ve been most in contact with, Rhiana, is very responsive and helpful when I have an issue. It is also quite easy to find a position that’s right for you.The only downside was initial confusion with how payroll worked, but that was explained to me further after I inquired about it. I would definitely recommend using them.
Very easy to work with. Very responsive. Keep up the good work 👍
I applied online and was contacted immediately. The phone interview and paperwork took a few days. Im now working as a contractor in a temporary position and Im really happy with it.Prosearch staff are professional, friendly and responsive. 5 Stars!
I worked as a ProSearch contractor for aprox 18 months on the MaineHealth account. Anytime I had questions they were quick to respond to my call or email. I hope that I am never in the situation of being jobless again, but if that should happen I know Tim at ProSearch is only a phone call away.
Absolutely love working for this Temp Agency.
I worked with Pro Search for about 8 months. I started by working a Maine Medical contract replacing windows 7 pcs with windows 10 pcs. The people i worked with are great, the people at pro search were nice. The only gripe i had with Pro Search is there is no PTO and no holiday pay. Not even for thanksgiving or christmas. Other than that, it was a great experience.
It was easy to get hired and start working from home with the efficient hiring process they have.
Pro Search helped me find a permanent position that I was and still am enthused about. I was given professional support and advice without ever feeling pushed into any uncomfortable positions or situations. When talking with potential employers I had a knowledgeable resource in my corner. I gained confidence using Pro Search and was able to start a career in my field with a good employer that values and supports their employees. I had taken months searching by myself but was able to end my hunt after a few weeks with Pro Search.
I had an outstanding experience working with Mary at Pro Search. She had a finance opportunity at an excellent Maine law firm. She kept me in the loop throughout the interviewing process and gave me good advice right up to the offer. I would strongly recommend working with her!
ProSearch reached out to provide me with a wonderful work opportunity and have been nothing but friendly and easy to work with since I was brought on board. Would definitely recommend working with them.
I applied through Pro Search around the beginning of November 2017. I heard back from Rhianna, the director of the staffing agency, the next day via email and answered her follow-up questions. I didnt hear back from Pro Search until 2 weeks later where Rhianna asked to set-up an interview time in their downtown office. I heard back after 1 week to confirm at date & time and the interview was set. I went in to their office, took about 35 minutes filling out paperwork, had a 20 minute interview with Rhianna, and was offered a job right there. I appreciated that there were no dreaded interview questions or scenarios. She gave a few different choices, I chose one that didnt require an interview with the company, and had a job ready for the start of the next week by the time I left the office. The only reason I rate them as 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the long delays in email responses trying to set up an interview. Rhianna was very professional and efficient. I highly recommend their services for anyone in the Portland area looking for a quick job or the start of a new career.
When compared - a waste of your timeTry other agencies in the area before coming here. You MAY find something through Pro Search, sure, but it will cost you a lot of effort and grinding and calling THEM.
My experience with the hiring and on boarding process went well. The company I worked for, (Im an IT professional) was a large one with plenty of bureaucracy but it was otherwise a good job. However, at the first sign of issues with this company (i.e., them wanting to move me into a role I did not come on board to do, one I did not one nor would be comfortable with), ProSearch failed me. They are clearly on the side of the employer and I understand that; the employer is their client. However, they tend to treat their contract and placement staff like cattle once they put you in place. You receive the polite, cheery followups but thats it. Once placed, the recruiter pretty much disappears and any questions are shoved off to someone else. I did great work for the company, they liked me but I was not up for the bait-and-switch. So a word of caution. They may be good for you. Then again, they may not. Shop around and definitely dont take ProSearch at their first word.
I was contacted by Audra through email initially because she had seen my resume on LinkedIn. We set up a meeting at the office where she asked me about my experience and preferences for jobs. After the meeting, she followed up with a couple of job options via email. I chose one in HR, and she emailed me back saying the company didn’t think I had enough experience for that position, but there was a lower position that I would be great for in another department. I took this job and worked in the position for close to five months. I did great work in the position and constantly received positive feedback from the manager. Then suddenly one Tuesday evening, Prosearch called me to inform me that the position I was working in was ending due to budgetary issues, effective immediately, and I was not to go into work the next day. I was very confused and a little heartbroken, but it is a temp job so I guess that’s just what happens sometimes. Audra was very quick to get me into another position at a different company right away. However, I really hated the new position, and after the two-week training session, I told Audra that the position really didn’t work for me and I would not be going back. She said she’d let the company know and asked me to go in for a meeting with her to pick up my belongings from the previous position (yes, it took them two weeks to get my belongings to me) and to talk about my job preferences again. After that meeting I have not heard back from her. I have reached out multiple times in the two months since our last meeting and heard nothing. I can only assume that prosearch has decided not to work with me anymore for whatever reason, but I think it’s very unprofessional how they ‘ghosted’ me like this. The pros of working for a temp agency are that you get paid weekly and they can get you into a position very quickly, however the cons are that they have no actual contract to continue working with you, the companies they put you into positions for are paying them a lot of money for your work and often will have to pay a finders fee if they want to actually hire you, and you are very expendable to them. Take what they say with a grain of salt, expect to be put in positions lower than your experience/expectations, and don’t count on continued employment.
I was sent an unsolicited e-mail through LinkedIn about a position at a local company described as a General Manager. There was no job description, but it was described as a position that would alleviate some managerial responsibilities of the President. I had a 30-minute call with ProSearch where I walked through my career path and they forwarded my resume to the President for consideration. I was CONFIRMED for an interview with the President the following week. When I showed up, however, I was informed that the President was on vacation that whole week. I had been set up to interview for a lesser position but did not realize it until about 15 minutes into the interview. Both sides felt really awkward after that. There were at least 4 employees lined up to speak with me for a position I was well overqualified for. They were really gracious about the mix-up and could sense my frustration and embarrassment. The owner (the Presidents father) was in the office and was nice enough to sit down with me and talk. He said he would meet with his management team and follow up with me the next week about getting another interview. The next week, however, I was informed by ProSearch that the position was no longer available and asked if I was interested in the lower position instead. It was a very clever bait-and-switch that tugged hard on my ambition for career growth (something I have recently struggled with). ProSearch assured me they could get me in to speak with the President about this supposed position, but after a month now, nothing yet. I have been contacted by ProSearch since and was asked if anyone from the hiring company had followed up, but no one has. I feel as though ProSearch is trying to shift blame on the mix-up to the hiring company, but it just shows a lack of proper communication all around.
I want to give negative stars....but that option is not allowed. I have never written a web review of anything, but my negative experience with UnProNotSearch has compelled this first ever review. I have never dealt with such a combination of incompetence, arrogance and hogwash as I have dealt with at (un)Pro(not)Search anywhere, ever. I have a great resume, tons of varied professional experience with great references (I dont think they ever checked one reference) and multiple skills. UnProNotSearch offered me a menial, 3 week job at a non-profit, which I accepted because I liked the company and thought the temp position might offer good insight into what it is like to work for that company. Within my first week, I discovered that 2 other temps from UnProNotSearch, doing the same exact job as I was doing, were both being paid a higher rate from ProSearch. When I questioned this discrepency, I was told by Audra from ProSearch that the company I was working for wanted to pay me the lower rate. I have her e-mail to prove this is what she said. That was a lie. She also stated that there are various reasons for differences in pay -- including experience and skill sets. Both other temps were lovely people and competent - neither one of them has better experience or skills than me -- quite the opposite. There is more to say there, but this review is too long already. Ill just list some -- not even all -- of the other issues I experienced. UnProNotSearch didnt even bother to read the tax forms I filled out with them -- they simply entered with their payroll service what they thought a single person would file. Conseqently, my first paycheck was signifiantly lower than it should have been, and Ill have no fun with the complicated tax returns Ill have to file for 2018. At first, Audra said that the overheld taxes would be refunded to me (I have that e-mail too), then, 2 days later, said it was too late -- that they could fix my tax filing for the next paycheck but I was out of luck for the first one. Also, I couldnt access the employee portal where my paycheck stubs and other forms are filed, becuase ProSearch never sent me the necessary e-mail from their payroll service to set up my access. Audra actually told me to check my spam/junk e-mail to find the original e-mail they sent me to do this (I have that e-mail from her too), even though no original e-mail was ever sent -- probably becuase they spelled hotmail wrong (left off the l). I check spam/junk every day on my own. And theres more. Ive asked for more work -- Audra said she would keep her eyes peeled, which she clearly has not done (I dont know what she actually does do) becuase if she had I would have had a placement with no trouble at all.Other reviewers are right -- bait and switch is a big game for UnProNotSearch. I doubt Audra even knows what is in my resume and I know full well my references have never been checked by UnProNotSearch because Ive contacted my references to find out.I know employment and temporary agencies dont really do much any more -- they operate online without much personal contact -- but how do they make any money? I would have been a great money maker for ProSearch -- had anyone there actually READ my resume, checked my references, assessed my skills and experience and had any available jobs. I WANTED to temp -- to try different things and to decide whether or not to return to Maine. If you want to temp, go somewhere else. Put your resume out on your own (I did and I have more job offers than I can count) UnProNotSearch doesnt seem to care about doing their jobs.
I went in for an interview with Prosearch for a financial firm posistion, it took about a week but I got the job. It was not a temporary position. Everything that Prosearch told me was true about my new employer and they even arranged for free pizza to help welcome us to our new job a few days in. Very friendly and I believe I got a really good job through them, professional and upfront. They even took the time to go learn my current job before we were hired so they knew what to tell potentional employees about the position. Would recommend if you are job searching,
I submitted my resume through the Pro Search website and they were fairly quick to contact me and set up an appointment. I met with one of their staffing experts for a 22 minute meeting where I basically just spewed poetically about my job history and she told me about some jobs in the area. She repeatedly asked if I checked my email often and said that she would be sending me a list of potential job opportunities shortly. Days later, no email. I sent her an email and nearly 2 weeks later I received a reply that not only will she be out of the office for awhile, but the manager of one of the companies she mentioned is also out of the office.....hence the lack of any and all communication. I drove 2 hours round trip to meet with Pro Search and I feel like it was a waste of gas and time. Luckily, I was offered a job that I found and applied for all by myself so the story has a happy ending. If you are in the Portland area, Pro Search is probably worth a visit but I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who has to make any type of effort to be there.
Top notch, locally owned firm with high quality projects at Maines best employers. Need I say more? Ok then, I will:I love doing business with ProSearch!Ive worked with Todd at ProSearch on various assignments over the past five years and I have to say theyre the best in town. If youre looking for your next gig start here.Theyre networked into all of the top companies in Maine. Ive even brought them job ads from out-of-state competing firms and ProSearch got me in at a higher rate.Dont waste your time with other staffers, call ProSearch today!
While the people I worked with here were friendly, as a contractor I found their support while on the job site, as well as their follow-up and follow-through to lack professionally. Job descriptions are incredibly vague and oversold, at least in my case. There was poor preparation on details of the role but overkill info. on the personalities of those hiring for it and a lot of coaching on how to sell myself to them. Typical if also sad and disappointing.Like all too many of these types of small third-party employment agencies, their goal and focus is on their clients, which is understandable to a degree. The people you place are your stock in trade however; your product and your face to the world. ProSearch appears to lose site of this. I would not recommend procuring resources from them nor would I recommend contracting through them unless and until the level of professionalism and attention improves.
They are ok. Not terrible, not great, just sort of ok.
I started out as a temp with pro search and still at the same place 5 years and still going no longer a temp but happy!!!
Great people, great jobs!!
