I thought they were good. Until I found out they just back stabbed me when Gresham Express called to find out what kind of worker I was the said flakey. I think I deserve a little respect I made over $15,000 last year and $3000 for this Express branch alone. Why are you still sending me out to interviews??? I’m not dumb so guess what you won’t be making another dime off me find another loser.

Efficient and amazing are two of the many words I would use to describe my experience at Express Employment Professionals. I interviewed with Megan and she was resourceful to the highest degree. Although it was a busy day in her office she did not bat an eyelash at assessing my work history and job skills to place me with ultimately the best position I have yet to hold since moving to Portland. After I completed paperwork and the rest of the data intake required to get me into the system I was working by the next morning. They are very reliable hard working people who love working with other like minded folks. Go in with your best foot forward and you will walk out triumphant and with a newly realized career accomplishment.

When Covid-19 reduced the available positions they were supportive and encouraging. They placed me in a position that translated into a permanent position that is perfect for me. The Express team is professional as well as personable. Thank you everyone at Express for a job well done!

I have worked with the people at the SE Division branch off and on for the last year and some change. My experience overall has been pretty positive between the assignments I get and speaking with the staff. Sometimes the information you get isnt 100% correct but that is usually due to the the people they get the information from and not a fault on their part.Honestly as long as you are willing to earn your money, not blame others for stuff, and show up regularly and on time they will do what they can to get you a job you can do. And probably hired on fulltime or whatever your desired hours are. If you are a reasonable, respectful, and responsible you WILL get a job.

13 yrs ago I was laid off from a job I had for close to 3yrs. I was a single mom raising 3 children so I needed a job fast. Express found me a temp to hire job within a few days so when I was laid off again due to Covid-19 Express came to the rescue and was able to find a placement for me in a day. They are fast, friendly and always willing to help. Thank you Express for always being there in my time of need ❤️

The lack of professionalism will be reflected with a response because the typical response of this company is feeling sorry because of how I feel about the company. I was previously with this company in Ocala Florida, and the difference is huge. The lack of professionalism is shown with the receptionist with a short temper when dealing with people who are having trouble with the software and throwing microaggressionss as a response. Making fake promises of a job, instead of being professional and calling ahead to let someone know know they dont have a job available, they make someone drive and waste their time. I am very disappointed with this company and Im rallying a lot of people to give more reviews so people can see the true rating they deserve which is below 3.0I waited 2 months for a job, I called weekly until I was told to not call and that theyll call me, but I waited three months and received a text saying a job is available, they asked me to come in and fill out an application, do a drug test and after waiting 2 hours was told the job is no longer available. They asked if Im good working with Excel, I dont have professional experience, but again Im stuck waiting. Also the fact I called again, told them I was disappointed with the situation and the person got an attitude and told me to call every day to make sure if theres a job available. This is a joke, and it feels that theres a level institutional bias that oozes out of the company.

I joined express employment about a month ago and the person that helped me is Megan. Megan she great and will get you a job at your request. About 3 days later I had a job that I enjoy to be at everyday. Express employment gets a job you want and there program is very easy to get the hang of. Megan is a great advisor ask for her!

What to say about this place its a sub par temp agency in a pretty bad area. So its pretty much what you expect. So 1 star for being predictable.

Very unprofessional hiring process. I stated with the standard filling out the application and made sure it was very informative so one could read it and have the questions they had already answered for me. The first day Andreas pushes aside my only request for to work a job close by the office and really pushing me to work towards the airport. Im very displeased by him already. Luckily I needed to call back and I spoke with someone else who then set me up for a phone interview (I thought at least) waited and I received a call and the person asked me the same questions as the person who set up the phone interview. On top of that they were all questions in the application. At this point this is my 4th time completeing these same questions 1 online And 3 times to separate employees the. I again had trouble getting to understand my only request of having work nearby my house. Im told that the person will call me back with information on places nearby after they figure out where they are first. They come back with one and apologize saying there might be others nearby Im unfamiliar with which jobs we have at the moment.vthe job was within 30 mins and I was going to accept it, I wanted to check the Gresham office before I commited. They were much more helpful and streamlined it was a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately I wanted the position at the other office. I tried again the following morning to call and accept the job. I was met with more disappointed service. 1 star I wouldnt let them represent my dog. Harsh words but pick a different place.

I went through a career change and Sara the franchisee there took me under her wing. I worked for her as a recruiter and she equip me with all the tools that I need in order to be successful. She also provided professional growth and is a great mentor. Express Employment changed my life as I moved out of the state and was able to connect with one of the hiring managers that I helped fill an administrative position for. The hiring manager brought me on in her organization and it was a great transition. Working internally for Express Employment specifically for the East Portland location provides you with many opportunities to build relationships with hiring managers in a variety of organizations. I owe it all to them for helping me lay the foundation to being a recruiter.

Don’t waste your time, they will have you come in and talk to you about your work. Then said “we’ll call you when we find a job that’s a good fit” this is a flat out lie. I when in a month ago and never got a call or email after the women who I spoke with (Megan Drain) went out of my way to contact her directly and I was still ignored after she told me I was a perfect candidate. All they care about are numbers, if they can’t put you in a job right away they don’t want you.

The owner Sara is such an awesome person! She is very professional and she definitely hires great people that work very hard for their employees. Her staff ALWAYS went out of their way to do whatever was needed the entire time I worked for them. After working my first temp position I wasnt even out of work for 3 days and they already had me back to work, doing something I loved to do, because she knew how important it was for me to get back to work asap. They always searched hi and low for jobs that I wanted and that fit my background, which was a plus. Even though I was hired on permanently at a job I was working through them, I will always consider going back to work for them if I ever need to because I know they will always be there for me. Thanks girls!

If you are a Scorpio I would recommend coming in and asking for Megan if possible...just beware of her hypnotic aura.very cool group of girls working here. Ive worked with this Express location for a little over a year and they are amazing. I told them what I was looking for and they delivered. The staff stays in contact with me and is always available to answer any questions I may have. Sara M is over this branch and she has worked with me and my crazy schedule without complaint and for that I am thankful.

First I was informed per the email they sent This is a professional interview, please be sure to dress appropriatelyBe sure to be on time as this be a good indicator of your reliabilityFollowing the interview, a skills assessment may be administeredPlan on being at Express about an hour to an hour and a half.I was well over 30 min early and was still late being called back for my interview. I dressed appropriately while others wore dirty street clothes with their pants around their knees. I was informed that the assessment would be sent to my email rather than take the assessment while I was in the office and I was in and out in about 5 minutes.I met with Justin, and I was excited about it based on the reviews I had read but was let down big time. He never smiled, hardly made eye contact and never offered his hand for a hand shake. He rushed through our meeting and left me feeling like an inconvenience rather than a potential client.He mentioned a possible job, but I never heard from him after our meeting nor received the assessment he was supposed to send me.If youre looking for a quick 4 hour job, and you dont care about professionalism this may be the place for you. If youre looking for a little extra help fining a career, I would stay clear of Express. There are many other recruiting and staffing companies out there that are far more interested in helping you find a job.

I likecthe fact that they are very busy at getting people employed temp to hire. But theyve never kept me waiting when I needed help or information on with something. I also like the fact that if things didnt work out with an employer they ask why and didnt hesitate to find me employment in another field Im qualified in. Ive had no problems with them. More people looking for work should look into them if they looking for a permanent job. They do their best at finding local work too due to the fact not everyone has transportation of their own. They are a very very understanding company 😊

Absolutely horrible experience that I had with Linda Nguyen. She was excited to bring me in since they found a job that fit my creative drive along with some office tasks that I was looking to gain experience in. When I came in she told me that the employer called her a few days ago saying that they just needed someone for just the office tasks which according to Linda I was too inexperienced to preform... then why was I still asked to come in? Linda was rude and disrespectful and made me feel absolutely terrible and not good enough for an office job. Well the jokes on you Linda because I found myself an even better office job with higher pay and I didn’t have to go through an agency to do so. Just generally unimpressed by the whole establishment, the receptionist seemed very childish and like she had somewhere else she’d rather be. The chairs had weird holes and wear marks on them and the whole place had a certain.... aroma. Take my advice, you’re better than this place, keep searching on your own and you’ll probably find something better and you won’t feel degraded in the process :)

This Express location has been the best Ive experienced so far! Not only did they get me set up with a job I love, but they have also been understanding of me occasionally not being available for overtime shifts because of needing to be available for my family. I am truly surprised that express is currently getting four stars here. After working for them for four years (full time jobs) and making a ton of money for them in the process, I went to school. While I went to school I even referred a couple people to them. After finishing school, I called them a number of times, and after speaking withe the receptionist, who said that they will call me right back, never got a reply. After this I truly got disappointed.

Justin Flintoff was really great to work with. He was very fast with finding jobs that were fitting and also great with communicating through the process. He was always there for support when you need it and will call to check on you during your new position(s). I would recommend going through Justin anytime for getting a good job placing and an all around easy, good guy to work with.

The crew at the east Portland Office are exceptional. They care about finding work for people, and on top of that work that fits. Christafien, in particular, was amazing through the whole process.

Payroll is incompetent. 50 hr week and they FAILED TO PAY ME the overtime! I started crying and Kayla tried to shame me for being upset and had zero compassion for her mistake! She said she has been doing payroll only a week=what!?! Ive done bookkeeping before and its not that hard to read a time card. So totally unprofessional how she reacted. Kayla has no accountability and should not be in this position if you care about your clients otherwise your temps will quit due to her neglect, she had a terrible attitude as receptionist always scowling, not sure why anyone would want to promote such negativity in the workplace. Her response and I quote was well thats why I work an office job as if to say shes better than the job I work, screenprinting, which is a skilled trade she could never do. There apparently is no HR to advocate for employees, she said someone would call to sort it out by the end of the day and of course no one called. Also, express scouted for me because they couldnt find qualified people for this client I took a chance and accepted this job assuming Id be paid for hours worked, so beyond disappointed with payrolls incompetence and now how can I have confidence to be paid for work??

Dannie was wonderful and got me full time employment immediately.

During my interview with them I was asked to take some computer based tests which I agreed to, however after I was finished I learned that the person I was interviewing with had left without finishing my interview. I was then asked to send them my resume for some jobs they thought I might be a good fit for, several emails later and I have not received even one response from the office. In my case they were VERY unprofessional and I cant currently recommend this office based on how they treated me.

I am very dissatisfied with the place. When went there looking for a job a few months ago, the person I had interviewed with was talking at me loudly and impatiently 10 miles a minute like a robot and couldnt wait to get rid of me. I think she is considered the lead there (??!)A very poor communicator! It became obvious to me that she saw that my education and skills( I have a University degree, btw and years of professional work experience) dont match their wearhouse positions that they hire for ( I had no idea!), and so I wasnt a potential candidate who would make them money by being hired. Thus this type of treatment!Now, 10 days ago I asked them for a letterhead to be mailed to me. I called TWICE, one initial call with the request and then the next day a follow-up call to make sure it was mailed to me. I was told they mailed it that same day. Well, its been 10 days!!!!! AND NO MAIL FROM THEM IN MY MAILBOX!!!-- Should I say more??!-- I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!-- I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW WITH THE NAMES SOON!

Ive been with Express (on Division) since October, the staff and job where I was placed has been a good experience. All jobs and interactions are what you make it but Im glad I chose EE instead of Labor Ready. Theyre professional and respond to emails/calls/texts quick. And they gave out breakfast sandwiches for the holidays! Merry X-Mas!

They are the worst company to work for and they discriminate against woman, and there pay sucks and when your supposed to get a raise it takes weeks for them to give it even after numerous attempts to tell them about promotion, even though they say theyll go back to when the promotion was given and pay they dont. I worked there months when I pulled a muscle in my chest, the same injury a co- worker sustained a month earlier he was never uaed and was accepted for workers comp getting 40% of his wages paid to him for all the days he took off, me on the other hand when I asked to get help with workmans comp to go to Dr. I was told they would have amr come to my home, evaluate me to see if I needed to go to ER and if not Id be transferred to there clinic to be evaluated, when they showed up the only thing they wanted was a UA from me and feeling I had rights since I didnt hurt myself I was injured due to repetitive twisting and sure to the fact my co worker never had to give a ua so I refused. And than I lost my job Ive had for months they said that the place I worked didnt want me back than told me my assignment ended when it didnt.

They will try to assign you a job you already told them you dont want to do, these jobs are the bottom of the barrel that nobody wants, if you tell them you are Un happy with the place and want a different position to bad. They will send you places where you would obviously start above $10 but tell you that its 9.45 to start. Example= new seasons pays temp $12 unless through express its minimum wage.. theft. Scandle..

I called to ask about a job opening and the male representative that answered my call asks for my name so I answer with first name and he answers with one of his clients last name and gives me her Social Security number. I said no that’s not me and you won’t find me because I don’t have a file and he asks for my ssn there is no way I would give it to him said thank you and hanged up! No ethics in clients privacy!!!
