I was assigned this contractor through Home Depot for a tile install. I had them once before for an LVP install. The LVP install went fine, some issues with Home Depot and getting materials timely, but actual install was good. For the tile install, it was a terrible experience with Romanoff from the beginning. They rescheduled my install date after I waited for months, ruining my rental unit schedule. They didnt return calls/emails and were not helpful about the date issue. Neither was Home Depot. The actual install was also terrible. The showed up after the install window time, late. Multiple holes in grout and unfinished areas around baseboards. They left material boxes and dirty fingerprints on walls. Poured concrete water outside on plant area.
Wow! I ordered carpet through Home Depot and later found out they contract the installation with Romanoff. After reading a few of the reviews, I almost canceled my order. Wendy at HD said they do a great job on carpet and I decided to give them a chance. They did such a fabulous job! They contacted me to see if I wanted my install date moved up, which I was able to work out. They showed up on the new day and immediately got to work. They were so efficient and professional. They carefully moved all the furniture. I was so impressed with how well they blended the seams, and how perfectly they transitioned the carpet to the wood and tile area. And then they cleaned up EVERYTHING!I am so happy with my new carpet and how well it was installed! Thank you for doing such a great job!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Home Depot should not conduct business with this company. We waited 3 months for Romanoff Renovations to lay our carpet, I confirmed the date with them yesterday for August 19th, they confirmed. We move furniture and ready the house for install this .....only to be called a few minutes ago (on the 18th) and told, We need to reschedule until next month!!!! No apologies, just a snippy lady acting as though she couldnt care less if they had our business or not. I called and cancelled my $5500 carpet order with Home Depot. A TOTAL DEBACLE.
My senior mother purchased carpet through home depot, paid up front in full 5 weeks ago. This job was pushed out a week due to a scheduling conflict. Today was the day the job was rescheduled for. One worker showed up about 4:30 but has to be pushed out again because of a couch that needed to be moved that the company was notified about. I overheard the way the office lady (Laneesa?)talked to my mother, seemed kind of rude and unprofessional. This company seems flaky, please read other similar reviews and re-consider if YOU want the hassels.
Were very pleased with the carpet installation. It was a bit of a tricky install on the stairs, but the installers did a great job anyway. They were so good, even my husband, who is a builder, was very impressed.
Thomas Garcia came out to install carpeting in our living room and office. He was prompt, professional, friendly and tidy.He was very careful not to damage any of my property, he was very precise with his work and cleaned up after himself very well.I was very impressed with his work.
Orders carpet through home Depot and less than two weeks later it was installed, installer did a fantastic job working by himself, we already had the rooms cleared and cleaned for him so it was a straight forward install job. My wife couldnt be happier to work with such a nice gentleman and said he worked his tail off all morning to get it installed, I looked it back over when j got home and it looks fantastic!Thank you! Both home Depot and Romanoff did a fantastic job, and to the gentleman who installed at the wells landing house, kudo! You did a fantastic job working alone!
This is the 2nd time we used Home Depot / Romanoff for a flooring project. And, for both projects, the installation team did a fantastic job. Maurice was the team lead and I give him top marks. They arrived early on the scheduled date and worked hard all day. They were respectful, professional and responsive to changes with the plan. Also, their work looks very good. The only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the scheduling. It was a bit of a fiasco - with multiple schedule changes. In the end, the job was done before the original schedule date. But the process to get to the final schedule was problematic.
I highly recommend Romanoff Renovations. Maurice and his team did an exceptional job! This team does high quality work efficiently and professionally. I was highly impressed with their ability to complete the job in one day with such high quality!
Romanoff Renovations Installed our new Laminate Flooring in our home we just purchased and we couldnt be happier! The flooring looks absolutely amazing. Gorgeous. Alek and the other installer really went above and beyond. The attention to detail, quality of their work and craftsmanship is amazing. They are professional, polite and courteous. They worked hard and stayed until the job was complete. We will be recommending them to all our friends and family in the future. We are so happy with the finished product. Thank you!!!
Do not EVER let anyone from this company do ANYTHING in your home. The frustration in dealing with their inability to accept responsibility for making a mistake isnt worth it! They were to re-carpet a stairway. They did not bring the new carpet all the way up, leaving the top stair with the old carpet. After sending multiple pictures and the customer service person agreeing with me that it looks hideous, she promised daily to take it to her manager and call me back, which never happened. Every time I called, the manager was always on a conference call and unable to come to the phone. Again I would be promised a call back. Never happened. After a full week of this, I was finally told that Home Depot measured incorrectly! Unbelievable! The installer hauled away plenty of remnant.
If I could give zero stars I would. Romanoff was set to install carpet ordered through Home Depot.Im a single Mom with an infant that works full time. Two paid days off wasted, waiting at home with no updates until I called. Two cancelled appointments for their ineptitude. Save your time and energy and go through Contract Furnishings. You get what you pay for.Poor communication, unreliable. If you value your time, dont waste it here.Luckily I was able to get a full refund from Home Depot. No questions asked. That in and of itself speaks volumes.
Extremely poor customer service, rude and unhelpful reps. Would not recrecommend. Did give home depot gift cards for our trouble, but was definitely not worth it.
To say that I am highly dissatisfied with Romanoff Renovations is an understatement. I purchased new carpet through Home Depot to be installed by Romanoff Renovations. The installers made horrible cuts to the carpet in several areas, spilt glue all over our new carpet and didn’t properly install the stairs. I had to leave for work while they were installing and the installers left my 7 month pregnant wife to move our bed to our room so she could go to bed that night. It should be noted that I paid for furniture moving services, the installers knew that my wife was pregnant and they joked with her when they left that she would have to move the furniture back herself because it was “getting late.” I expressed to Home Depot and Romanoff Renovations my dissatisfaction with the carpet, and told them that the job would need to be re-done. A few days later, one of the installers from the previous installation came back out to our house and said he would be there at 9:30am. He showed up to this meeting over an hour late. His solution for the glue on the carpet was cutting the carpet with scissors.. He said he could do “patchwork” to the areas of the carpet with poor cuts and admitted to me that he himself didn’t install the stairs correctly. He told me that he was on a “time crunch” and knowingly installed the carpet wrong. I would highly suggest not using Romanoff Renovations for your home projects. They do sloppy work and their customer service is horrible.
We had two different sub contractors come out for two different jobs. Erik, David, and David did our baseboards and plank flooring. They worked hard and made sure we loved the product and the look! Steve laid the carpet on our stairs and did a great job.
I was a bit hesitant when I read the bad reviews but I have nothing but good things to say about Romanoff. They installed new laminate flooring for me throughout my condo and did a wonderful job! They were on time, professional and my floors look fantastic! Thank you Alek and Eddie!!
We purchased carpet through HD and the guy who came to install it was super hard-working and did an awesome job. I was thinking that at least 2 people would be needed to get it all done in a day, but he did everything himself. Were very happy with how it came out!!
Romanoff Renovations installed carpet for us in two rooms. They were professional and courteous and did the job quickly. We also appreciated that they wore masks (as a Covid-19 precaution). The installation seems perfect and they cleaned everything up before they left.
Always late! They worked until after 11pm 2 nights and shows up to fix their mistakes at 10pm for a job that they should have been there at 1. NEVER WILL I USE THEM AGAIN!!! UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!!!!!!!! Young Boys they send out to us were very UNPROFESSIONAL. Sitting on my bench playing on his phone laughing at 10pm . UNACCEPTABLE
They rescheduled on us twice no show no call with a could careless attitude. Home depot lost a sale and we will never use them again because they were like well there is nothing we can do.
Excellent communication, did everything they said they were going to do and delivered on time, excellent work. Special thanks to the work crew who showed up and helped me, even in the smoke. They went above my expectations. Friendly, kind and very professional!
Decent customer service on phone. On time for carpet installation and finished the job on time.
I usually don’t like to complain. Especially publicly, I am merely doing this to give info about my experience. I ordered carpet through Home Depot and these were my contractors. When they finished I inspected it and the bottom of the carpet was ballooning up from the subfloor. They fixed it quickly, which I’m grateful. About a month later my foot caught exposed staples going up the stairs. Called them to fix it and they came a d hammered the staples down. Few months later as I’m vacuuming the stairs I noticed the carpet coming up from the sides. I scheduled them to come out again snd they didn’t show on the day they are supposed to. I complained to Home Depot and they came the next day.
I am not one to leave 1 star reviews...but I must to save people the stress and frustration that I faced today. Romanoff called us this past weekend to say that they would arrive for carpet removal and installation between 8-11 today (8/24/20). This morning a representative called at 7:30 to say that there was a scheduling problem so they needed to push back our time to 12:00-3:00. We went through the trouble of boarding our dog for overall convenience. We worked our butts off to clear the carpet areas and move heavier items etc. Around 2:30 I decided to crate our cats to help with their stress levels. 3:00pm comes and no call, no knock on the door.I proceeded to call Romanoff and their directory was one large loop (could not talk to any representative- I tried several times to make sure my phone wasnt the problem). Around 4:05pm (65 minutes late) I get a call from our Lead Craftsman Mauricio saying hes stuck in traffic but will be here in 15 minutes. I nicely expressed to him how unprofessional it was that they were already over an hour late. He didnt apologize, ignored my complaint and asked if all the rooms were cleared and ready. I asked him again if he realized how late he was and why they didnt call sooner to let me know that they hit traffic (that happens, I wouldve understood!!). He proceeded to tell me to call Home Depot to reschedule and HUNG UP ON ME! I am appalled.Home owners: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ROMANOFF. I cannot believe Home Depot affiliates with them. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.
These are the most unprofessional installers I’ve ever seen in my life they showed up twice only to leave with out explanation they promised to install within a week to two weeks and it’s been four months not happy with Romanoff or the Home Depot
We had a Home Depot flooring project. From the beginning of our project Romanoff Renovations was professional in setting up scheduling, keeping us informed of our install and product delivery. Prior to the install we received the call window time and they talked us through with all information and details so we were ready for the big day with no surprises. Floors look amazing! We are very pleased with the attention to detail, perfection and care that went into the project.
Horrible. Does not meet their committed install days/times. No one knows what is going on, and for some reason are unable to track carpet shipments. We were supposed to have carpet installed on Oct. 28, and are now on our 3rd cancelation, with no committed install, no point of contact. Home Depot said word-for-word -- no one knows what is going on, and there is no ETA for when someone will know what is going on with your order.
Our flooring technician was on time and did fantastic work with installing our carpet.
Alex and Ben from Romanoff Renovations installed laminate flooring in my house today. They were on time and very professional, were very industrious and efficient in their work as well as working cooperatively as a team to get the job done in a timely manner. I am very pleased with their workmanship and the appearance of my floors. Thank you!
Today is 12/16/2020. My original install date for carpet I had purchased through Home Depot was 12/1/2020, I had received an email confirmation for our install and told that we would be called the day before with an install window, great. Day before comes, no call. I called them 4 times no answer, so I left voicemails. I called Home Depot and never made it through to the flooring department. Irritating to say the least. The next day comes and I have a bad feeling (still 12/1/2020). I called Romanoff, again no answer and I left a voicemail. I called Home Depot who finally answered and said yes we see your install is for today they will call you 30 minutes before arriving to your house. Okay fine. Well I wait a while then decide to call Romanoff again, this time someone finally picks up and claims I was called the Wednesday before and a voicemail had been left saying they were canceling our installation. I had NEVER received either a call or voicemail with that information. At this point I have all 3 of my bedrooms torn apart and scattered around the rest of my house. I’m irritated but try to be understanding, mistakes happen. I was told that they would put a note in my file to have someone call me and if I didn’t hear back that day (12/1/20) to call the next day. Well I never heard back that day and called a few more times, no answer. I call the next day leave a voicemail, no return. I call Home Depot who calls on my behalf and suddenly I get a text that my installation date is now Dec 15th. Okay fine, two weeks of living with our bedrooms torn up and all of our clothes on our couch, fine I’ll do it.December 14th rolls around so I call to confirm the installation wasn’t cancelled and to get our window for arrival. Someone actually picked up the phone! She said yes it is still on and that she can’t tell me a window but I will get a call later that day with the information. Well I never get a call, I called them a couple times before closing and never get an answer, but hey the installation is confirmed so it’s going to happen!December 15th rolls around. I get no phone calls, no texts, no emails. I work from home and I am on the phone a lot, but I can see who is calling me. I never got a call for warning when they were coming, but the installers arrived at 2:30! I’m so happy even though I’m in the middle of a business call I let them in, open up my garage for them to use and show them the three bedrooms for the installation. The installers asked me to come out and confirm it is the right carpet. I walk out and it was the WRONG CARPET. I try not to get mad at the installers, but I’m now starting to get upset. I’m pregnant and wanting to get new carpet installed before my first baby is born. I send them proof of what I ordered, by sending pictures of the carpet I ordered with the name on it and also a picture of my order forms from Home Depot with the same name on it. The installers said that Romanoff would be reaching out to touch base with me in just a moment. I never received a call from them.Home Depot called me and went over what happened. They told me that the carpet I ordered is out in Georgia ( I’m in Oregon), and that it can get here by December 20th. The women who called said she would call Romanoff on my behalf and get them to install our carpet as quickly as possible and let me know what happens. Well I never got a call back.So today is 12/16/20. I decide to call Romanoff, after 3 no answers and a voicemail left I suddenly get a text from them saying my installation date is 1/15/2021. I am so furious, I try to be an understanding person but this has gone on way too long. On the text it says to call if that date doesn’t work for you, so I Call and no one answers. I have called 5 times since then with no answer. I have called Home Depot and I am waiting on a return call from their manager to get help with this problem. We had to pay upfront for the entire project- I am blown away at how horrible the customer service and want to cancel.
-Home Depot AND Romanoff will tell you your experience will depend on who you get that day for install. They openly acknowledge you may have a terrible experience, or a good experience.-I paid extra to have my heavy furniture moved, and instead my boyfriend and I ended up moving the furniture with the ONE guy they sent out. He moved my heavy, expensive, wood dresser by himself, and damaged it.-He complained about our flooring choice and made it clear he didnt want to do it. He even called his manager to complain about it. No surprise that shortly after he found an excuse not to continue.-I had a very long and open conversation with Home Depot about what I wanted done for the project. I wanted ALL the old flooring ripped up, and I wanted the subfloor leveled, replaced, whatever it needed. My house is OLD. It creaks, floor boards were loose, theres a few soft spots, its an old house. Home Depot assured me that was super doable, no problem! We priced out worse case scenarios and best case scenarios and everything. So, imagine my surprise, when the installer tells me hes not ripping up the old linoleum at all, hes just going to install over it, that its not on his work order and hell have to charge me a lot extra to do it. Mind you, the price I paid, I specifically ASKED IF IT WAS INCLUDED. AND THEY SAID YES. On the receipt I recieved, it CLEARLY states that the linoleum AND carpet were to be removed! But he insisted that was wrong and itd be extra. The only thing extra that was supposed to be charged to me, was IF and WHERE the subflooring needed to be REPLACED OR LEVELED. He notified me that he wouldnt be leveling either. Even argued with me when I asked him to level it anyway, and he decided he wouldnt.-Ripped up half the flooring in the living room, noted discoloring on the wood by the door, said it could be water damage, instead of stopping and waiting for a manager to get back to him, he continued ripping the flooring up. Said if the wood needed to be replaced, he had no problem doing that, would be super easy. My house was built in 1935, everything is discolored. Its old.-Manager told him to stop, he told me she would call me, she never did, and he clearly wanted to leave, so he gave me her number after waiting an hour for her to call first. She GREETED me, by telling me how annoyed and irritated she was that he gave me her number to get this issue resolved. Super professional.-She proceeded to tell me I have standing water in my house, my crawl space must be flooded, and I have WATER DAMAGE THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE HOUSE. I would need to call a Home Depot approved contractor to fix it before they continue.-She had not seen my house, and the installer had NOT been in my entire house to know if there was water damage throughout the ENTIRE house like she emphasized multiple times, as I had my dog in our back room with the door shut and locked. He had also not gone in my crawl space either, so interesting that they assume my crawl space is flooded without even looking?-She told him to leave. My floors are now HALF ripped up, with nails and debris EVERYWHERE in the living room and our bedroom (which couldve been avoided if he had stopped when he first questioned anything instead of continuing!) Its wet outside, we cant bring our furniture in because the floors are torn up, our dog cant just walk over all the nails and debris everywhere. He said hes not sure why she said what she said, because it was only the spot by the door he was concerned about, and that he couldve easily fixed it, but she said leave, so he had to leave.-Was told they wouldnt reschedule until a contractor from Home Depot came out, but within 30 minutes of the installer leaving, they rescheduled my flooring to be done over a month out, without talking to me. So, Im expected to just leave my house torn up for over a month?-Contractor came out, 100% NO water damage, no standing water, NOTHING. Its discolored because its OLD!! Just an excuse to stop. He said he sees it all the time to get more money out of people.
I had new carpet installed by Romanoff through the home depot. The installers were on time and hard workers. They were a little rushed and ended up damaging paint on multiple doors and moldings throughout my home. I called romanoff 4 times over 2 weeks trying to talk to someone about the damage. Each time they would say a manager is going to call you. Never heard a word from them... After numerous attempts to get the damage acknowledged by romanoff I had to call the home depot and they opened an insurance claim. Romanoff denied the claim and my doors and molding are still all destroyed. I will never use this company again and would reccomend anyone looking to use them go a different route. They have respect for their customers and do not take responsibility for any damage done by their installers.
Yeah...not sure why all the negative reviews. I went through Home Depot and these were the contractors that did my install. 1. They were on time...like right on time. 2. They were courteous (put down drop cloth on my wood floor to protect it as they traversed in and out of my house) and they were very friendly. 3. They did a great job installing my carpet! Id recommend them anytime.
This company gets a ZERO and my carpet hasnt even been installed yet.I should of read the reviews prior to purchasing carpet from Home Depot. HD uses Romanoff as a contract installer. As of 8/24/2020 their customer service is HORRIBLE and is unwilling to resolve a simple rescheduling issue.Short summary: My carpet was scheduled to be installed on a Saturday 8/22/2020. I wanted to push it back to Monday (Today) but they told me that wasnt possible. After taking a day off on Friday to do as much prep that I could. I was told several times by HD, Mike D. The Romanoff Rep, and via an automated Text that morning that I would get a call 30 min prior to them arriving at my door. Saturday morning installation time frame was scheduled between 8am - 11am. I wait for several hours with no phone call. Around 10:50 am Theres a knock on with an installer ready to go. However we werent completely ready since I had linens on the beds a a few toys on the dresser, because my family had just woken up. The installers looked around took pictures for whatever reason and because I cant empty and entire room and move my entire house. They said we werent ready enough and left. Even though no more then 10 min I had two rooms ready to go so they could start installing and I could rotate furniture in and out of rooms. The entire day Saturday I tried to call Home Depot and Romanoff to contract the drivers to let them know we WERE ready and installation can begin. This time Bob at Romanoff said he couldnt get in contact with the drivers and hed leave a message for a manager to call me back. I still havent received a call from anyone at Romanoff to reschedule my installation.NOTE: I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW ONCE INSTALLATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED. AS OF RIGHT NOW THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ZERO.iM READING REVIEWS OF CUSTOMERS WHOVE HAD ISSUES AND CAN NEVER GET ANYONE FROM ROMANOFF ON THE LINE TO RESOLVE IT THEM.I CAN NOT COMMENT ON THEIR INSTALLATION SERVICE. I HOPE THEY ARE READING THIS AND PLAN TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND ON INSTALLATION.Installation was completed on 8/29/2020. The installation was decent. could of been better. They still showed up with out a prior phone call. I cant blame the team that showed up because they are just doing their job. Their management didnt relay the information I specifically wanted a 30 phone call prior to arrival like they stated they do in their SLA. So again when they showed up my family was still asleep and we had to move some things around. I will never purchase flooring from HD again as long as Romanoff is their contract installer. The installation crew was good but their customer service is the worst. When told I would get a call back from the Regional Manager/Coordinator Lynisa A I never did. If that would of happened then Id probably have more positive things to say.
While my issues with HD is one thing, Romanoff people were nothing short than AMAZING.Seriously, I havent seen such a good, competent company/employees in a very long time.Thank you so much.
Im picky, and I really couldnt have asked for more from our carpet installers. They were friendly, open, considerate, and did a great job ... including cleaning up the stray carpet bits! We didnt hire them, they were the installers Home Depot sent... and they were PERFECT. (I dont get to say that as often as Id like, about even the people I hire directly.) Thanks, guys!
Steve did an amazing job with our new carpet installation. He has great communication through the entire process. We will for sure use him again for future jobs.
I do not recommend working with this storethey cheat workers for money!they didnt pay me for the job!there are terrible people!
Carpet installation was professional and excellent. I would recommend this service highly.
Job execution was great, our new carpet was installed well and quickly. It was hard to get in touch with them on the phone regarding rescheduling though.
ZERO, I give them zero stars!! Dealing with them for carpet installation is the absolute worst! Currently sitting at home waiting for a call back because the installer arrived yesterday to INSTALL MY CARPET AND DIDNT BRING THE CARPET! Yes, thats right. They didnt bring the product they were to install. Spent yesterday trying to figure this out received zero call backs. Today, same thing. They have already messed up this order numerous times, lost the carpet, found the carpet, arrived without the carpet. We can safely assume my carpet, that has been fully paid for, is once again missing and 2 more days are down the drain waiting for a call from the manager that I know wont come, and I can look forward to more of my time being wasted while I wait for another day of getting the runaround.YEP, ITS NOW 1:45 AND THEY ABSOLUTELY LEFT FOR THE DAY. NO CALL BACK FROM THE PERSON ON CALL, NO CARPET INSTALLED.Monday: I have called in because no one has bothered to call yet. I have been informed that I told the installer to throw my carpet out. The mental gymnastics here are astounding. I scheduled an install for carpet that I paid for...but really just wanted thrown out without benefit of refund. In speaking to Home Depot they told me that the first time this carpet went missing it was found at an installers home....Hmmmm....wonder where my carpet that the installer says I told him to throw away is??
Arrived early worked kwickly and professanly Cleaned up and were gone
We had carpet installed 11/12/19 by Antonio, he did an awesome job, was very polite, work was done quicker than anticipated, and it looks great. We had a large room, 2 closets, and stairways. I would totally refer him for any jobs, very knowledgeable and skilled.
Showed up on time and went right to work. Did a final walkthrough with the lead and everything looked great!
The Company first sent out a nasty rude couple who who wouldn’t even come in our driveway because there was a little bit of snowy slush. They turned around and didn’t even come to the house to speak with us. They just called and said they weren’t coming. The wife was very rude and hung up on my husband. The two guys they sent out the next day did a wonderful job and were very nice and pleasing and did a good job.I would give 5 stars to the 2nd installers but not the company. And.....I would give the first installers a minus 5 star rating.
Definitely not sure why this company is receiving so many negative reviews! Honestly, I wish there was more stars that I could give. My husband and I are both beyond completely impressed with this company and their subcontractor;Aleksandr (Alex) Bondarev and his crew! We had ordered 2,100 ft.² of lifeproof vinyl flooring to be installed in our entire house besides the bathrooms (there are tile). Originally we were givin a four day period for construction time. Alex and his crew showed up right at 8am on Monday morning and quickly started to work. I was skeptical when Home Depot included a leveling fee thinking that the contractor would not do any extra work, but they went above and beyond making sure all floors were level and everything was nailed down correctly prior to installing anything. As the quarantine is going on my husband and I were at home of course watching everything happen. Before the contractors took a short lunch Alex made a comment that they were expecting to have everything done today and I was surprised since we were given a four-day timeline. After returning from lunch they completed everything in the house including transition pieces into the bathrooms. Alex and his team were very professional and came to us if they had any questions how we wanted something done! Other than physically seeing the flooring guys here you would’ve had no idea that a contractor had been here. The floors look completely amazing, everyone was super polite, and not a single piece of debris or garbage left. I highly highly recommend this company and wish that I had more flooring to be installed to have them back! 100% recommend.
I was setup with Romanoff via Home Depot.Jorge and team did a great job installing carpet today. They removed the old carpet, and installed my new one in under 3 hours. They worked to minimize seams and talked me through theyre process.I am really happy with their service and how it turned out.
Brandon was awesome! Very knowledgeable and all about customer service. He took the time to explain options and ensure appliances would fit. Would highly recommend Brandon and crew!
They people are horrible. They had so many issues with my install that I’m still dealing with their unprofessional and poor work. Twice now they have given me a window of time to fix issues and they just never show or call. They do the install for Home Depot. They had labor guys milling around my house, using which ever bathroom they chose and looked very sketchy!!! Only 2 of the guys seemed to know what they were doing and clearly weren’t managing the others.
Guys showed on time, were pleasant, informative & worked quickly to install my hardwood floors. Only reasons they do not get 5 stars is they damaged my cabinets (an expense I hadnt considered incurring for floor installation), broke my blinds to my slider & one of the wood pieces has a deep raw scratch in the middle & installed anyway.I think they could have chosen a piece from one of the leftover boxes to use in place of this one.Following installation, we called to inform them of the board; they sent Dimitri, a saint, to make the repair. He was pleasant & extremely professional. I asked if there was anything I could do for him & his response was its already done. Thank you so much for making this right!! I love our floors even more now.
If can give this place a BIG FAT ZERO I would. One of my friends are dealing with this company right now. Her installer has broken things in her home during the install. The partial work that was completed was uneven, the NEW installer they sent out to complete the job said it was installed poorly. She had to leave work multiple times for issues concerning the install. She spent 12k with Home Depot who seems to have no concern with the company they hired being Romanoff. Her floors look completely horrible, and she wishes she never hired Home Depot at all. She is still hoping that they complete job, although, they came today and realized the flooring was not to the measuring standards of the stairs. Please stay clear of this company if you have the chance. You are better off going to craigslist and hoping for the best. I hope this helps!
I do not recommend very bad
They are terrible
They did a good job on our vinyl floors but installed the vinyl cove base HORRIBLY. Crooked, gaps, wavy cuts... They clearly didn’t read and follow the instructions on the box, and now the vinyl cove base needs completely redone as it’s not even effective as-is. I don’t know if I can trust Home Depot contractors for installation anymore.
3 months of missed and rescheduled installation dates, terrible, nasty employees, work never done. Home Depot carpet free install. Dont do it. Dont give home depot your business, nobody takes any ownership and the work never gets done.
All of these negative reviews really scared me when I purchased carpet through Home Depot. But Romanoff was very pleasant to work with. I had to reschedule on them twice due to delays in our remodel, one time at the very last minute when they were already on their way to my home. But each time they were understanding and helpful. Their crew showed up on time, was very nice and knowledgeable, and seemed to be really efficient. Our carpet looks fantastic. Home Depot on the other hand, was not so great to work with...
I wish I could give zero stars. I cant believe the unprofessionalism, lack of courtesy and lack of customer service. Our installation has been cancelled or postponed 6...you hear me correctly six times. Other contractors had to be rearranged, business was lost, and it cost me much more than ten times the cost of the installation in lost revenue. Do yourself and favor and find someone else to install your carpet. I have no words.
Horrible job! Zero stars!! We ordered new carpet and flooring from Home Deposit. We paid to remove old carpet and flooring and install new. But the workers for Romanoff Renovations decided to just go over the old linoleum and we had to have them come back and fix corners with colored silicone because the cuts we off. Only a few months later and the linoleum is pulling away from the shower. And the carpet cuts around the heating vents look llike they were done with a chainsaw. Worst ever!!
The product from Home Depot is beautiful & the installer from Romanoffs was awesome !!
Adding my voice to balance out the many negative reviews.I had a very good experience and had both carpet and laminate floors installed.Dimitri did the laminate and he was fantastic, knowledgeable, and very fast. Due to Home Depot screwing up and the transitions between rooms (aka the part that sits between doorways) getting separated from the rest of the order, we almost had a situation where our movers might damage the floors cause the transitions wouldnt be installed in time. Fortunately Dimitri did a late evening drive to our house (Beaverton) from a project up in St Helens to get everything set only a few hours before the movers arrived. It all looks great. The carpets were installed by Luis who also did a good job. My only gripe was that a TON of small nails were left in the driveway. Im talking two hands cupped together would be nearly full of nails. Only they were scattered all over. I had to buy a magnet from a hardware store to get them all before our cars could park there. All in all, I would use Romanoff again. But knowing what I do now about Home Depot, here are my tips:* If getting laminate floors, try scratching the samples. The guy on the floor pushed us to get vinyl and the night before we needed to make a decision, we used a binder clip to scrape the samples. The vinyl left huge marks that were obvious and could not be easily fixed. The laminate would scratch but it was harder to do so and they were way more subtle. So take whatever they say with a huge grain of salt* If you have uneven floors or squeeky floors, consider including work to have your underlayment get worked on first. Dimitri floated our kitchen (meaning he put down a thin layer of concrete to level it) which made it much better. However, there were several other spots where we would have asked to have this done had we known anything about flooring before beginning. This might be within the scope of work that Romanoff could have done but by the time the materials got in, we didnt have enough time to pump the breaks and can live with our floors as is.* Home Depot will include quarter rounds which *might* not be needed for your job should you be putting in baseboards. They also included some other foamy-thing that is supposed to sit under your baseboards. Dimitri saved us $480+ by telling us they werent needed. I dont remember details of why cause we had a family contractor remove and install the new baseboards and they understood what was needed. So have the conversation with whoever installs your floors about if the materials Home Depot included are actually necessary or if you can return them afterward. We did and it saved a ton.
If there was a zero star I would have given that! I’m sure you’ve heard of slumlords. Romanoff is the slumlord of flooring installations. I wanted laminate in my bathroom. They tried to talk me out of it. I told them that I worked in flooring for years and if properly installed there should be no problems. I had it in my last house for 17 years with no problems.Romanoff renovations did my flooring throughout the house. Most of the work is shotty at best. But this takes the cake. They put the laminate over the heat/ac vent in the bathroom, which is 2 feet from the toilet. The heat had no where to escape. It melted the wax ring causing the toilet to leak! Not to mention they left trash in the vent and the subfloor molded. All this could have caused a fire. I live in a manufactured home. It would have gone up in smoke in no time. Today I’m calling the Better Business Bureau and the contractor licensing board. If necessary I will call an attorney.Shame on you Romanoff!!!!
If the way they drive their company vehicles is any indication of their level of service, i would steer clear of them! Today one of their drivers was hauling through hwy 97 in Redmond oregon. They were tailgating everyone on the road, passing cars in the right lane and also cut me off almost causing an accident. Does this company know who they have working for them?
Miguel Arreola was our carpet installer. He was here within an hour of the earliest start time, very nice, clean in his work, and did an amazing job! Thanks Miguel and Romanoff, we will use your company again in the future.
Best experience! Nathan Stover is an amazing craftsman and I highly recommend him.
Terrible installer. LATE the night before the install (despite numerous email confirmation over days preceding) I received a computerized voicemail telling me my install was rescheduled for the following week. No way to talk to a person. When I called the Home Depot store they said they couldn’t help me.. they had no way themselves to reach the installer!!! RidiculousRomanoff (and Home Depot) get zeros for customer service.
Very pleased with our large carpet install purchased through Hime Depot. Nice quality work.
We were very nervous about our install of HD carpet after looking at all these reviews. We talked to HD 4001 about this and they said dont worry we got a good crew lined up for you. Maybe we got lucky but the crew did awesome! They were right on time, worked hard and did a quality job. They had 5 guys here for removal/setup and 3 that did the install. We are very happy with the product and the crew that installed it.
Comfortable and cleaner
Carpet is tenting in the center. Cant even get someone to call me back for three months now.. Home Depot tells me they will have Romanoff call me and nobody ever does.
They showed up in time, worked hard and did all I asked on my removal and install of the entire house in two days. Great job!
Unreliable. They change schedules constantly and at like the customer should just appreciate that they actually show up. Cost me a month of time finishing a home flip project. Took over two months to complete 600sq ft of carpet. I wish I could give zero stars.
Horrible. Ive never felt inclined to bother to leave a bad review for anything until now. This companies incompetence and inability to provide any sort of customer service caused me to have to completely cancel my carpet installation. I would avoid using Home Depot for your carpeting needs as this is the company they exclusively use for their installations.
Horrible experience. we were set up thru Home Depot for floor install and even though our job was on the schedule for 7 weeks....the employee did not show up until 2:00pm when the start time was suppose to be at 8:00am! I was on the phone all day and they kept lying to me and saying he would be there anytime. The overworked employee was exhausted and said they had him finish another job before coming to our house. He completed one room by 7:30pm and then since he was scheduled for a job at Nike and the company wouldnt let us keep the installer to complete the job - they are suppose to send someone else today to do the other rooms. Already over an hour late so who know when he will arrive. This was suppose to be a simple 8 hour job that has morphed into multiple days. By the way Home Depot completely washes their hands after they get your order - no one could or would help with the situation. Hear my warning....STAY AWAY FROM HOME DEPOT & ROMANOFF!
Worst experience Ive ever had with any business ever. Ive never been inspired to leave a negative review on the internet before, but these people were truly inspiring. My carpet installation was supposed to take one day, and I ended up having to take seven days off of work over a period of almost three months before the job was completed. The staff who answer the phones arent able to help with anything whatsoever, and there was not a manager available to speak with at any of the 30+ times I had to call to try to get them to finish my job. The staff would tell me that the manager would call me back right away, and they would never call. Twice the installer never showed up at all. Once I called two hours into the arrival window to ask if they were actually going to show up, and I was told that they were just about to call me to tell me that they didnt have the parts they needed to finish the job. I could go on and on, but I think Im going to just move on with my life right now and not waste more hours on Renovations by Romanoff. The Home Depot will take zero responsibility for any of this, by the way, and the managers are just as impossible to reach.
One of the worse places Ive been. Incompetent slow Warehouse staff.
First install appointment rescheduled to a later date. 2nd install date installer showed up but either couldnt figure out directions for access or wasnt given directions, so he left. Not one phone number for their company is working. Never again and I cant believe they are preferred installer for Home Depot.
Worse office i ever worked with
