I was so grateful for Bob’s expertise in all areas of our permitted basement bathroom remodel. From working with local ordinances, to finding great sub-contractors, and of course the expert craftsmanship, I could not have asked for better workmanship!

We had to remodel a loft to a third bedroom in our new house and Bob did it to perfection ! We were not in town for the entire time of the work, but we knew we could trust Bob in performing the remodel with us remotely. He kept us informed, sent us pictures, was always very responsive to our demands. He was suggesting solutions with providing options and met all our expectations. He managed the permit, hiring of electricians and specialists, inspection and performed the work on time. Our third bedroom passed inspection and looks as it has always been part of the house design. We will ask Bob to do other remodel jobs in our house in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone.

We worked with bob on a complete bathroom remodel in our 3/1 home. He was amazing! Bob has excellent communication and planning skills and is a breeze to work with. He gave thoughtful recommendations for products and services, as well as offered honest opinions about the work we wanted and had done. I always felt safe to bring up any questions or thoughts during the whole process. He supervised all of the work finished by subs. Bob is very hard working and made sure we loved every detail of our new bathroom. Even though we have a full family and only one bathroom he made the job a pleasure to be a part of! We hired Murphy Construction for a new bathroom in the basement of our 1947 home . He was very conscientious in all aspects of the project: Working our design wishes into the reality of the space, vetting subcontractors for quality and expediency, and exceeding my particularly picky ex-carpenters expectations. I have no doubt that our new space in our old house will stand the test of time.

Bob is absolutely great to work with – trustworthy, thorough, creative and a master craftsman. We hired him to match moulding for a new door to the custom 100 year old moulding in our home and the result was perfect. And then we hired him for five more projects!

Bob was great to work with, start to finish. He was a great communicator, offered tons of advice and options, solved every problem, worked incredibly hard and did just beautiful work that is a pleasure to live with and see every day and will last for ages. I would hire him again in an instant.

Finding a Great Contractor is extremely difficult. After having a really terrible experience with another contractor, Bob Murphy walked into our lives. We were looking to rebuild our rotting deck and found Bob on Yelp. Bob responded to our query on the same day, then came to see our house two days later. Bob gave us great feedback on our project and got back with an estimate within a few days. Bob made each step of this project easy: from aligning on a estimate/start date, identifying and procuring the materials, addressing an electrical issue that came up during the build and completing the project at a high quality on time/ & on budget. The deck is now complete and it looks GREAT. Wed emphatically recommend Bob. He communicates proactively, is always on time, and does great work.

This impressed us very much, and from what we’ve since heard from friends who’ve worked with other construction companies, does not seem to be the industry ‘standard’.-Bob’s project estimate was spot-on and all additional costs were incurred because we added scope and additional improvements.
