My family had a great experience at Toyota of Portland. From the moment we walked in the door, the sales staff was welcoming, accommodating, and helped us find a perfect vehicle! We were especially impressed with Hahn Solo, who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thanks again to Hahn and the whole staff. -The Taylor Family
(BUYERS BEWARE) We bought a new car here about 4 months ago. We only received 1 key (which I now assume they lost, but blamed on Covid) and said we would be sent another key later on. It has been 4 months and I have spoken with the general sales manager multiple times and he keeps making excuses as to why there is no key yet.
I had a great experience here purchasing a brand new Toyota Tacoma. Daniel on the Sales Team was really easy to talk to and work with on a deal. There was no hard sell or hours worth of games you see at other dealers. I got a great deal on my trade in and this was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Thank you so much!
Called in for stock on a vehicle ready with check in hand. Sales rep was rude sounding and rushed. I asked if there was an adjusted dealer markup on the vehicles and he said yes $3000. I said “Ok, Im good then”. Sales rep proceeds to hang up on me.It would appear that if you arent willing to give them your money right away then they arent interested in providing good customer service.Teach your sales team, that if they provide good customer service some people might be more willing to pay your inflated prices.
This was the best car buying experience of my life and I’ve been around a while. It started with getting a quote via Consumer Reports (as a member). CR found the dealers closest to me and within minutes, several dealers had reached out to me.Alejandro Sandoval from Toyota of Portland contacted me and helped me get the best price for the car. I was able to apply for the car online, get approved, and the best part was...Alejandro delivered the car to my driveway and I finished the paperwork at my dining table! It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Alejandro is a very courteous, calm, respectful sales person and I really enjoyed working with him. After we finished the paperwork, he spent 1/2 an hour getting me acquainted with my car.Fabulous!Toyota of Portland really goes above and beyond the service of other dealerships. Highly recommend.
First review I’ve written in at least a decade but I needed to acknowledge the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had when buying a car (and that says a lot). When I called to speak with management about my experience, I was asked “and what would you like me to do?” So, it seemed a reasonable thing to share: if you want to be passed from one salesman to another without explanation or courtesy, but with all haste and disrespect of your person, then by all means patronize Toyota of Portland and don’t bother reporting what happened - it’s apparently the customers’ job to provide the solution to their abhorrent customer service.
Unbelievable bad and distasteful practices. This dealership states they do not have the vehicle were looking for, then turns around, calls us, and states all of a sudden they do and that we have to trade a vehicle in to do business with them. This was a direct demand from sales Manager Scott. The sales associate then tells us they cant keep their doors open and belittles me—seriously baffled right now! So us purchasing a vehicle from you directly comes with requirements. No thanks.
I bought a new Sienna from Toyota of Portland in late July. The process of buying the car was okay - nothing special but just fine. It’s the service AFTER the sale that has me so irritated. When I picked up my new vehicle, the salesperson claimed the spare key was ‘lost by the intern’ and they’d work to get me new one. It’s been 8 weeks and I still don’t have the spare key. And it’s been over 3 weeks without an update or response back from the dealership, despite me reaching out. I’ve contacted the salesperson and the manager. The manager said they thought they know where it might be and they’d “call me right back”. I’m still waiting for that call a week later. Terrible follow through on the sale of a car.My wife and I share this vehicle and it’s incredibly frustrating to not have this key. All I want is a timeline and confirmation that this key is being processed. Thus far, they have been unable to provide this information. I feel as if the service stopped once I drove away, which is unfortunate.
Today I spoke with the kindest man I have ever encountered in thirty years! This man was so composed and exquisite and gave me the best advice I have ever received from a salesman. This man radiates trustworthiness, I highly recommend Patrick Humphrey! I recomend Patrick as he will help you solve any complex and difficult situation. Thanks again Patrick! ❤️
Patrick Humphrey is an amazing salesperson. I came in with a complex and difficult situation. He took this unusual situation, listened to my needs, and went above and beyond to help me find a good and reliable vehicle. This is the first time I’ve had a pleasant experience at a car dealership and I would thank him for that. I would recommend Patrick Humphrey to anyone looking to purchase a car.
BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. We just bought a 2022 Toyota 4Runner Limited from Bode, and it was the single best purchase experience weve ever had. It was fast, he was honest and charming, and we are ecstatic with our purchase. Who says Car buying has to be stressful and awful? What a joy to have this dealership walk us through the experience, in just under 2 hours, and come out with exactly what we wanted. Bode, thank you so, so much for your help. You rock!
I just had the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience imaginable. Another dealership quoted me a price on a new Corolla hybrid and Roman Diriyenko at Toyota of Portland matched it over the phone. He then sent an email confirming the price. I went into the dealership and was out in under an hour with the deal sealed. If you want to be treated in an honest and straightforward manner call Roman. He is THE BEST!!!
I had a wonderful experience with a salesman by the name of Patrick, and while i’m not ready to purchase a car yet, he made me feel very comfortable and listened to what i had to say. When i finally stop being so indecisive about what kind of car I want to buy, I will definitely be returning! Great customer service !
Had my vehicle serviced once and the service was adequate which is why there are two stars. The communication was poor however. Nobody knew who I should speak with when I arrived and there was no communication once my vehicle was done. Since then Ive attempted to get my vehicle serviced again and have been unable to make an appointment. Ive been told over 3 separate calls that Id be called back to make a simple appointment and have not heard back. Unfortunately this is the closest Toyota dealership to me otherwise I would avoid it.
About 7 years ago I bought my Prius here, they did a good job and had done all the service on the vehicle. Since it was convenient to my home and office I continued to service my car here. Today was so bad I will never be back. I set an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and to have my front brakes replaced per their recommendation. When I set my appointment I worked with the office staff to ensure I could get my car back the same day, and arrived 30-mins early to give extra cushion. I ended up sitting in my car for 30-mins before a service rep even acknowledged me, only to be told I couldn’t get my car back today. We discussed why that wasn’t possible (I work weekends) and since there wasn’t a manager on site he said he would make sure my car was finished by 5:45, which I appreciated and was pleased with the follow through. While I was waiting to drop off my car (and to check out) I noticed signs all over the place mentioning the need to pick up your car ASAP due to high theft in the area - so I made sure to arrive as quickly as possible when I was told my car was done, maybe 15-mins after notification….. only to find my car unlocked and running, unattended in the parking lot. Which was after 10-mins of signing paperwork and paying. This is unacceptable on any level in my opinion. Especially since my car will beep several times when it’s running and you walk away with the keys, not to mention the loud warning sound it makes when on, running and you try to lock it with the FOB. This tells me the tech who parked the car paid no attention to my car. And sadly the response to me voicing that concern was “not much we can do about it”.
If I could give this 0 stars I would. I brought my car in for a simple 2 window tint job. I was quoted $200.93 over the phone and later saw this estimate in writing on a Toyota issued invoice. First off, when I tried to drop my car off they claimed I wasnt in the system and had not actually scheduled an appointment. Fast forward 2.5 week later when another opening was available. Dropped my car off, there is a scheduled appointment...hooray!! Arrived to pick up my car later that night and they had no idea where my car was. Maybe its in a gated lot one employee said. Come back the next morning, they still dont know where my car is. After 30 min of looking in the computer they located my car at the Subaru dealership. Why is it there? No idea, no explanation. 20 min later my car arrives. When I finally go to pay they offer me a $95 dollar discount for the multiple errors on their part, but now are charging me $290 for the tint job. When I inform them of this dramatic increase in charged price vs. estimate they respond with sorry, we will need to do some training, they gave you the wrong amount.I would expect that a small mistake like this made by their service department would be a simple fix. I would also expect that they honor their estimated price given that there are no variables with window tinting. No such luck here. Many phone calls, many voicemails, no return calls. I will never return for any service here. I will tell anyone that will listen to avoid this service department at all costs.
I recently bought a car here, and it was a great experience. I worked with Roman, and he was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the car buying experience. I would highly recommend Toyota of Portland.
UPDATE:After writing this review I was contacted by the general manager. He apologized and said he was on it. That was over a week ago and still no word! I would not recommend anyone buy a car from this dealership. Zero customer service? What do I do? Someone has my plates but it’s not me!Massive problems with this place. First I bought a brand new vehicle and they didn’t even fill the tank all the way. The detail job was horrible. Factory stickers and plastic still all over. Then, they made that right. BUT I have been calling for several days because they were supposed to transfer my plates and never told me. Finally got my registration and had my old vehicle plate number. 6 calls in, one short response that they’d look into it. I know this is a pandemic but zero customer service is never acceptable. Never again will I give this place my business.
Abraham showed us exactly what we were looking for and made the whole process painless. We didn’t waste our whole day at the dealership. The pricing process was clear and straightforward,.. which made it easy to see the cost and decide what was right for us. Signing was fast. Everyone was friendly. The car was washed and filled with gas before we left. A great experience,.. the second time we’ve purchased from this dealership and will return again in the future. Venza Limited.
I feel mixed about this place. They were extremely friendly and not pushy. I loved the finance department although I wish communication was better. But Im high maintenance so it is what it is. I think the key to this dealership is they are very focused on the location and not calls and emails.. and thats how it should be right? Have yet to do maintainence so will maybe update then. 9 out of 10!
As far as auto sales professionals go - Roman is first rate. He is professional, knew every detail of the car I was contemplating purchasing and was able to spend the time getting everything setup the way I wanted. If you are a savvy shopper and value your time and professionalism - you may want to contact Roman.
Do not take your business to Toyota of Portland. They are still playing the Art of the Scam and religiously practice the Dark Arts of Bait and Switch. Avoid them at all costs. There are other more reputable and straightforward dealers in the metro area. Pick one and go there, avoid these clowns .
Alejandro was amazing he found me exactly what I wanted before even getting to the dealership and had it read. The process was fast easy and smooth. Go see Alejandro he will make your life so much easier when buying a car!
Used to love going here, the service has been on a steady decline; we have bought two cars here and will sadly not be buy our third ; long stories short: make sure you double check all paper work when buying your car; they almost doubled our percentage rate from the verbally agreed upon number thank god my wife checks every detail fire singing; today I waited 40 minutes for my car to be brought around after and hour long service it almost doubled my time there. I called the service desk at 20 minutes after texting my service advisor at 10 and 15 minutes; took another twenty minutes to get it while I saw two others get their car in 5/10 minutes. They offered me free car washes for the inconvenience… cool. So needless to say I will be finding a new Toyota dealership from now on. However the parts department is always helpful needless to say that’s why it’s two stars and not one .
I had a awesome experience at Toyota of Portland. Abraham and alejando made the process of buying a car great. I would like to thank them both for helping me and my father. Thank you so much! :)
I would give the service department zero stars if that was an option. It may be a great place to buy a car but you may spend your entire day trying to get an oil change. I arrived at my appointment time and was told it would be a 4 hour wait. But I have an appt Its not an appt...its a check in time. What is the difference. We are an open shop. Tried to speak to management but no return call. Thanks but no thanks Broadway Toyota. Ill be going elsewhere from now on.
PROFESSIONALISM:DONT WORK HERE IF YOU WANNA BE TREATED LIKE A HUMAN. Clearly there is an organization issue at this place. If your applying expect and hour wait along with a rude manager at your interview that clearly cant keep his schedule under control. Management clearly needs some revision. No wonder theyre still looking for people. My advice for people wanting to be a mechanic go anywhere else but here. Id be worried about their actual business if this is how they treat aspiring employees.
I honestly thought the sales guy was joking when I asked to schedule a test drive for the RAV4 Prime. He said “I’ve never seen one of those on the lot. When they come in they sell.” No attempt to find another location that had one for me to test drive. I said “I won’t be buying a car I can’t test drive” and he said “okay thank you” *click*. I guess other people are comfortable spending over $40,000 on something never driven? I must be old fashioned.
They are taking great advantage of the inventory shortage by raising prices well above what’s reasonable - much higher than other Toyota dealerships in the area. Increased prices are understandable but their practice may be considered price gouging. A salesperson said to me “you can wait for the car at the other dealership and pay a lower price, but we actually have the cars.” No thanks. I’ll wait.
I was with my brother when he was refinancing my his car that he bought from this dealership, the interest rate they told him and the interest rate on the papers that we have seen later was different, they havent explained any thing well. His original loan was about $12000 and he ended up starting new loan of $23000They really cheated us and we lostIf you have no experience about this dealer dont goThe worst toyota dealership I have seen in Portland metro area.
Easiest car buying experience. Great people to work with, Katie my salesperson and Sharon the Customer Service manager could not have been more helpful, got me the vehicle I wanted with the options I wanted. Took my old car with a decent trade in price and showed me how all the new stuff works on the new car. Ill continue going to Broadway Toyota in Portland for my service too. I definitely give them 5 stars!!!!
Our experience at Toyota of Portland was excellent. We used the Costco Auto program, and our salesperson Nick was upfront with us about everything. As someone who hasnt bought a car in 15 years because I hated the car-buying experience, Nick was a breath of fresh air. He was great at explaining the features of our new Toyota, which were a bit overwhelming given how much technology has changed in 15 years. When our paperwork was delayed due to staffing issues at the dealership, he sat and talked to us, kept us entertained and brought us soft drinks. This was a great experience and when Im ready for a new car again (probably in 10 years or so, because thats how I roll), I will definitely start at Toyota of Portland.
This dealership is completely incompetent, they are advertising a car that my fiance wanted to look at. We scheduled a test drive and then find out the mileage is completely wrong, advertising as 2 and apparently is closer to 110,000, according to one employee. I call to find out why no one can tell me proper mileage and they claim they are trading it in and have no paperwork on it. Not only that but they dont have the car and it wont be in for 2 weeks according to the sales manager. So how can we schedule a test drive when they dont even have the car. This dealership is a joke and I would recommend going to a CarMax, they wont lie to you just to get you in the door to try and sell you on a different car. This is why sales people have a bad rep, companies like this.
Katelynn made this experience so easy and simple... honestly a bit fun too!She helped me feel comfortable and confident in the deal and big purchase I was making. I left very happy in my new car and was also helped with my rental car being returned. Above and beyond. Highly recommend her.
By far the most attentive, kind, zero B.S. car buying experience i have ever had! I will definitely be back as I should need another vehicle. Alejandro was the best salesman I have ever encountered!
I am replacing an older Highlander with a new one. When I bought my current Highlander, I felt misled by the salesman on some fundamental issues with the purchase of that car. Thats the reason I wanted to buy the new car at another dealership.I have had my current Highlander for 7 1/2 years, and I was looking to replace it with a newer Highlander with the newer electronic safety features. My highlander has served me well (120,000 miles), and is still a solid and trouble free car.Toyota of Portland and Alejandro Sandoval were straightforward with the information I needed to make an informed choice for the specific model of Highlander I wanted. All questions were answered with knowledgeable responses. There were no surprises.I bought the car through the Costco car program, and that may have helped. There was absolutely no price negotiating involved, and I feel that I got a very fair deal, with a price I was very happy with.I would strongly recommend purchasing cars at Toyota of Portland. I would buy a car again at this dealership.
This is the second or third time I’ve been here for simple service, oil change and tire rotation— w/ an appointment. That took hours! Est time 1.5 hrs, then got a call— it would be another hr maybe 1.5. 3.5 hrs later still not done. Broadway Toyota had better service. I would not recommend this place
I’d decided that I wanted to trade-in my vehicle for a hybrid. After some research and scoping out my options I landed on wanting to get more info about the Prius. After requesting a quote I was contacted by Owen from Toyota of Portland and he let me know that there were some incoming options I might be interested in. He was great to work with, patient while I considered all everything. And zero pressure to make any decisions I wasn’t comfortable with.Between Owen and the financing crew I worked with, I felt very taken care of on making a big BIG decision. Buying a car can always be a bit stressful, so I extra appreciated their easy-going attitudes and helping me to find the right car in a time when I know their in short supply. Can’t wait for my spicy red Prius to arrive! 🤣
I have been to every toyota dealership in metro Portland areaAnd I can definitely say this was the worst dealership I have ever been to.The price they told me when I called and the price they charged me was different.I also felt that I was not welcomed. And finally when I asked the free car wash she just said wait and never came back.
Thanks so much to Ken, Tyler, Errol and McKenzie for helping me find and lock down my dream rig. I appreciated your kindness and patience and non-pushiness with me. Tyler, you know your trucks! Thanks for taking me through all the features, tips and tricks. It’s a big purchase so it’s nice to work with someone who is detail oriented and excited about all the minutia!
Sadly, we were extremely disappointed. Upon arrival we checked in with the receptionist, who was pleasant and helpful. She search for someone to assist us and returned to tell us a sales person agreed and would be (up front) so waited (and, waited) for a salesperson to show up. Finally gave up and left.,
Excellent service, thorough inspection of my older SUV. They even gave me a loaner car when the service could not be completed the same day. Great communication throughout the process. Highly recommend. Thank you!!
Really good service. Ive had my car serviced by three different Toyota dealers in the past year and this was by far the best in terms of speed, communications, and staff. Angie was super nice, helpful, courteous, and clear. Great experience.
Dropped my car off for an oil change and new tires at 8:20am, was told mid day on a call that it would be done by 2pm. I called and texted at 2pm to see if it was done, never heard anything. Showed up at 3pm and it wasn’t done, told it would be another hour, 4:30pm at the latest and they would call me. At 4:30pm I still hadn’t heard anything, ended up needing to call twice just to get my service provider to call me back. Finally picked up my car after 5pm. I will not be returning to get my car serviced here ever again, I cannot believe it took over 8 hours to get this very basic work done.
Who likes buying a new car? Not this girl. But Toyota of Portland changed my mind. Not only were the people super friendly without being smarmy, the whole entire car buying process took two hours, start to finish. I feel like I got a great deal, they were super respectful of my time and I walked out of the dealership over the moon. I’ve never had such a great experience before. If you’re looking to buy a new or new to you car, hit up Toyota of Portland and ask for Bode.
Mark my service rep was great. He pointed out things that should have been done that were not brought to my attention by other reps that goes back to 3 months after I bought my Camry. He also laid out a plan for me to get those things done in order of priority. These items can all extend the life of my car and save me lots of money. Thanks to Mark for his thoroughness and honesty. You need more reps like him. I will continue to request Mark when I visit.
After looking throughout California for a RAV4 TRD, I came up empty handed. I found that Portland had one and they were able to get me the information I needed to make the best decision.Owen Hartzell was extremely helpful and always prompt in getting me a response. I flew into Portland and drove 13 hours home. I would do it again. Ask for Owen if you are buying from out of state or if youre local. Either way he will take care of you.I would also like to say thank you to Rouaa in Finance for making that side of things easier to digest.Thank you, Toyota of Portland.
I felt that I needed the most reliable mechanically inclined shop. And so I chose Toyota of Portland. I’m very happy with the all-point inspection and helped me to get the proper work done professionally and efficiently. Thank you.
David Peters is an amazing sales person. He really helped my husband and I make the decision between purchasing new or used. Very informative young man who truly works to support not only the costumer but his employer as well. Definitely coming to him for all our trade-ins.
What a great place and a great team. I drove two hours to go here when I couldn’t find what i wanted closer to home. Another dealership even tried to talk us into a boring car we didn’t like and said we wouldn’t find the 4Runner we wanted. So great to show up to the friendly faces at Portland Toyota. They were quick, efficient and, as you would expect from Portland- totally down to earth. The staff respected that I knew what I was looking for.
Very courteous, professional and informative. Speedy service.
I was not fully committed to buying a new vehicle, but after communicating my interests, budget and schedule, the team at Toyota of Portland addressed all of my needs and treated me fairly. I am happy with my truck and experience. I would highly recommend Honn Solo as a sales person.
If youve ever wondered why places like Carmax and Carvana are becoming so popular, take a trip to Toyota of Portland and you will soon understand why. I had inquired yesterday about an 06 4runner that did not have a price listed, when I texted the dealership the salesperson told me it was still being processed but would most likely be around $12,900. The salesperson had invited me to come to look at it and so I drove an hour to Portland after work. When I arrived at the dealership they did not have the car there for me to view, while I was understandably frustrated I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I knew it was a new listing. So I asked a salesperson to text me tomorrow when they had confirmed a listing price and the car was available to view, then I drove an hour home.Today when I heard from the dealership around noon the salesperson texted me and said that the manager had confirmed the price and it would be $13,900 and asked if I was still interested in looking at the vehicle. I was able to leave work a little early and told them I could be in at 5 PM. So I drove an hour to the dealership, again. When I arrived I test drove the vehicle and the salesperson was pleasant and I was excited to get the car. However, when it came time to talk numbers, I had asked a question if routine maintenance had been done to the vehicle as I didnt see that on the Carfax. When the salesperson went back to ask his manager he came back with a new price, only this time it was $1,000 more than what had been quoted to me multiple times. I asked if I could speak with the manager because I didnt understand why it was $1,000 less a minute ago and the other times I was quoted. The manager, Trey, was incredibly short in his tone when he asked me what the problem was. I explained that I had been quoted $13,900 multiple times but was now finding out he was raising the price as I was sitting there. I told him that he should honor the quote that had been provided multiple times.I told Trey that in my line of work if I quoted a client something and didnt deliver on that price or better it would be illegal. Trey informed me that he didnt care about the legality of the issue because the price had not been listed publically yet. I let him know that whether it was a legal issue or not, what he was doing was still unethical. He told me that it was that price or we didnt have a deal. I let Trey know that we wouldnt have a deal and wished he could be more ethical in his quotes. For a company thats brand is built around positivity it was certainly not communicated by the sales manager, Trey. I was excited about getting the car when I had walked in but was turned off by the unethical sales practices of the management team and would encourage future or returning customers to be wary of the management staff. Its a shame that Toyota lost an excited customer over the actions of a single staff member.
Thai was very helpful. He listened to what we wanted and made sure we found the exact fit for us. We appreciated that he did not press a sale on us. Letting us test drive the venza in order to discuss what we wanted and thought about it. Toyota gave us a fair price on our trade in vehicle as well.
I have taken my Toyota to several different dealerships and have had good service but NOT Toyota of Portland on Broadway. The gal at customer service was not pleasant when I asked for a piece of paper to write something down. Apparently, I was interrupting her and made that clear by herself response. Also, she didnt use her mask but kept it hanging over one ear. Then, I saw my car parked outside like it was done, but it took like 20 minutes to tell me. We checked out and my husband asked for a car wash voucher, they were out but was told to come by in a week or so to see if they got them back in. Another disappointment. Finally, we get in the car and noticed they didnt vacuum the front like all the other Toyotas do. Now, maybe that has changed and I am unaware of it. It was just a poor visit overall and decided never again at Toyota of Portland.
Didnt buy a car here but I helped a friend who did if you gonna buy a Toyota go here super great staff nice place
I had a great buying experience with Toyota Portland! Excellent discount on a 2015 Toyota sienna with good mileage. Traded in my Subaru was offered a really good price and had fabulous customer support the entire way. Especially enjoyed my interaction with my sales man Bode who was friendly, helpful, and had a lot of insight. They also got me through with a little hassle and as quickly as I wanted to go through: allowed me to ask as many questions as I wanted and do my own personal inspection on the vehicle I was buying. Though Bode wanted to sell me the car he also gave me the freedom to walk away when I wanted to and to come back when I wanted to. That was the most important part for me. Thank you Toyota!
Im very happy I ended up going to Toyota of Portland. I was very nervous because this was my first time buying a car by myself, and I was scared because of my negative past experiences with car dealerships. I hadnt planned to even buy a car that day, but they offered me an incredible deal and I got a great APR rate with my credit union through them, so it all worked out! Ive never had such a new and reliable used car! Im very happy with my purchase!Thank you to Gabe and Errol for answering all of my questions and explaining things in a way that helped me make my decision.
Take your Toyota somewhere else. Every interaction we’ve had with this repair/service center has been the worst experience. Sometimes it’s adding work that wasn’t pre-authorized, other times it “forgetting” to do a service that was requested. Most recently, we took our Toyota in for an oil change, new battery, and replacement wiper blade for the rear window. We came out with no new battery (our Toyota died the morning of our family vacation which is the only reason we found out), no rear wiper blade (“whoops”) and a $200+ bill for a regular maintenance oil change (synthetic). This place is the mob of dealers/service centers. Do your research and go elsewhere.
I bought my 2014 toyota Avalon the interest rate they told me and the interest rate in the papers was completely defirent,Then one year I went back to refinance my car and they paid of the loan and sold me my car again I lost more than $6000 and nobady was helping me at all.The service department is also bad no customer satisfaction.Ill never go back this place again.
Amazing experience! A huge thank you to the entire Toyota of Portland team, especially Katy and Errol. I would highly recommend coming to get your dream car here as well!
Awful. Over the past 6 years, 3 of 4 visits to the service department, all scheduled at least 2 or 3 weeks in advance for recalls, resulted in me arriving to find out that the part was not in stock. One time several years ago, I waited in the lobby for 3 hours before finding out the part wasnt in stock and that I would have to reschedule. And then, two weeks ago, I go in for another recall to once again find out that the part wasnt in stock. I had already asked them to service the car, too (oil change, etc.), so I let that go ahead. But then they had the gall to tell me - in strong terms - that the brakes had to be replaced (a $1,300 repair). Because of my bad experiences, I told them a hard no and took my car to a trusted mechanic who looked at the breaks and said, basically, they have a lot of wear, but that they were safe for at least another 15,000 miles. In short, do not trust the service department at Toyota of Broadway. If they recommend work - especially if it is expensive - I highly recommend getting a second opinion from someone trustworthy.I have to say, sometimes things happen and parts that were expected to be in stock are not. That is ok ONCE. NOT three times, and coupled with what feels like a total scam recommendation for them to do $1,300 of brake work. Which, by the way, they could do right away. Im done with these people, and should have been done two recalls ago.
They need to be better at communicating to customers if service will take a few hrs or all day before they come back to the shop again. Thats just a waste of gas to drive there a second time only to be told to come in on another day.
We have been going to Toyota of Portland for about 10 years now, we even bought our truck there, and in the last 2-3 years the quality of care has taken a steep decline. Recently we took our truck in to get the AC repaired - payed $312 for the diagnostics which was not performed because all they did was the same thing my husband had already done 2x at Jiffy lube. It worked for 2 days then quite working again. I have called 4 times to see what was assessed during the so-called diagnostics and no one has called back. Was also informed that our knock sensor was an issue due to rodent damage and was quoted $3400 for the repair. I took it to another place (Affordable Tire and Brake) where they repaired it for $1200. Previously, I had taken our other car in for a leak in the sunroof and they told me that by battery was low they wanted to charge me $60 to charge it, I said no thank you - I can take it to OReillys where they do it for free. They charged me for this service anyway, but apparently did not even do it b/c when they went to get my car it was dead. Over all: overpriced service, shoddy service and being charged for service that is not even performed. I would give them a 0 if I could.
We had a great experience purchasing our RAV4 at Toyota of Portland. Our sales rep. Daniel Musgrove was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Throughout the entire process, which included waiting a month for our car to be delivered from the factory, Daniel provided regular updates. Rachel from the finance office was also very professional and explained all of our options clearly and without pressure. We highly recommend Toyota of Portland.
The worst call to set appointment no one greets you sat at the car for almost an hour after calling ahead went inside no help outside pretty dirty. And horrible customer service.Wish I would have went to Gladaone where 5hey actually care and help
Got my car delivered to my home within 48 hours of my first call. Excellent service and FAST turnaround. Thank you! Nick was the one who I worked with the most, and appreciate him! He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what a “car salesman” would do for a customer, including hand washing the vehicle himself so it didn’t have to go thru those terrible washers that destroy the paint!
Super nice staff, I had stopped initially at the Tonkin location on 122nd and they refused to check my tire pressure, said it would take 2.5 hrs. I had a tire pressure sensor that was lit up, and wanted to make sure I didnt have a blowout on my way to work, the other location didnt care and said youll be fine. Broadway Toyota was nice enough to put air in, tell me which tire it was and if the light came on its a nail.
Came in knowing the exact car I wanted to buy. Bode was very helpful in the process - which was all very quick. Drove off with my Prius an hour and a half later. Very happy with my experience.
This place is the absolute worst. Over the last four years, it’s been nothing but lies and criminal behavior. The sales team needs to be taught that “spot financing” is illegal. I am also extremely suspicious that they are lying about some of their inventory having clean title. The service dept is a terrible group of liars that keep trying to sell my fiancée on fake repairs and maintenance. And about 50% of the time they don’t honor appointments and just turn you away when you show up on time. I don’t know why the service dept thinks that whining to customers about the sales team will help them get away with overcharging of maintenance, but I’m tired of hearing it. I’m never going back to Toyota of Portland, and I’m done with Toyota vehicles in general.
Great dealer to work with, Roman was great. Helped me from start to finish, got a deposit on a truck, and called as soon as it arrived. Even arrived about a week early. Super helpful salesman, great communication. Over all, 10/10 experience. When you go search for a new/used car. Ask for Roman!
Took my 4runner here bc it was shifting hard. Sales advisor made no mention of the fact that they do not repair transmissions. Charged me $163 to tell me that it shifts hard. I tried to find out exactly what else they checked but was never responded to. Would not recommend.Update: Service manager contacted me directly and resolved my issues. Very professional.
It has been many years of a love-hate relationship here with their service departmant. One new Prius and two new Highlanders later I am done with this place. Seevice Reps have generally been very nice. But… service department drops the ball every opportunity. From shoddy repairs requiring rework at a qualified shop elsewhere to installation of faulty electronics salvaged from a junkyard (not making this up) to forgetting to order parts before a scheduled repair. The list goes on and on. Warning to all Prius owners: if your insurance company does not cover an OEM replacement for a stolen catalytic converter, DO NOT bring your Prius here - they will definitely screw up a non OEM install.
If I can give the sales team from Broadway Toyota any less of a rating I would. I leased a Tacoma from this dealership in 2018 and that experience was not at all pleasant. It seemed like a big shuffle from the start. It seemed like very 10-20 minutes I was dealing with someone else. After a lot of chaos and one salesman being nasty rude, I left with my truck just happy to get away from all those shysters. On our way out after the contract was signed, one of them literally told my husband that it is their job to get as much money as possible out of you. Were not here for fun. Now I totally understand capitalism, it can be done with integrity and class....and then theres Broadway Toyota, which lands nowhere near such concepts.Fast forward 3 years, my lease is up. I called them about this, I got Kenneth Scott on the phone. He took my info and called me back to inform me that in order to buy my truck, it was going to be upwards of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS OVER the original amount stated on the buy-out contract. I inquired as to what this 10k was for...a WARRANTY he replied. Wow, I wonder if anyone actually falls for this. I hope not because its 100% theft. I didnt even ask for a warranty and its not an option to not have it.My husband did some quick research and, according to TOYOTA itself, warranties generally range from around $1-5k max. But lets get back to Kenneth. After bragging that hes been working for Broadway Toyota for over 15 years, when my husband confronted him with the info he found on warranties, Kenneth stumbled over his words and spit out that he only works in sales and knows zero about warranties then angrily hung up...So he knows nothing about warranties after 15 years and hes tasked with selling them? Sounds legit.Btw...we called various other Toyota dealerships around town and the highest we were quoted was $2800 for bumper to bumper and even Trey, one of the Broadway Toyotas managers quoted about the same. When I explained the situation about being quoted $10k and Kenneths shysty and rude behavior, Trey had nothing to say except goodbye.I highly recommend you go to a different dealership because this one is full of the rudest and shadiest men Ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with. If you do go here, buyer beware. These guys totally dont care about their reputation nor providing whats called Customer Service.Ron Tonkin and Toyota of Gladstone had WAY more honest and respectful sales staff than any of the clowns at Broadway.
I called the day before to make an appointment for an oil and filter change. (This was the first time since we got our car from you guys in 2018 that we had to pay for an oil change.) I asked how much it was going to cost and got told $80 for the oil change and $20 for the filter change. So $110 in total. The next day it took 4 hours for our oil change and I had to call and talk to 5 different people to find out about my car. When it came time to pay they charged us $160. Totally rude customer service, and I got treated like I was lieing about what I got quoted over the phone. I ended up talking to a manager named Scott and nothing got resolved. I was told i was going to get a full refund due to the horrible experience and another manager named Scott Michael would call me back to confirm the refund and i never received a call.Totally disappointed in our experience. I dont think well be back!
Took me 6 months to get back my money for pre paid maintenance . %100 their fault. Messed up finance department. Professional liars. Also service told me that I have a leak at my water pump almost 2 years ago. Nothing happened since than. I would never and ever go there also I wouldnt buy a car from them .. Even for free. Cant believe how they make business still.
The service department here is good at what they do (maintenance and repair), but they are horribly inefficient at customer service. I made an appointment via phone for some relatively basic maintenance. It still took more than 30 minutes to wait in line, check in and explain to the service writer what I had already explained on the phone needed to be done. Check out was similar. I was sent to the same writer who checked me in the day before, even though he was on the phone. Other people were helped ahead of me while I just waited to pay and get my keys. The car was eventually brought to the front where I found it, but no keys. Had to go back inside again to find that lil nugget.Get your car worked on here, sure. Just plan for 30-45 minutes every time you walk in the door. And don’t bother making an appointment, it won’t help at all.
Enjoyed the purchasing process, however I had to take the car through DEQ which is normally handled by the dealership before purchasing. Additionally, due to a miscommunication from the title clerk I ended up having to register the car myself. A better dealership would have saved me the DMV trip. Good inventory but the follow through is just not there.
Arrived at the dealership about 4:30pm and drove home at 6:00pm in a 2021 Tacoma. Quickest and easiest car buying experience ever. Go see Sam.
Thai was so friendly and knowledgeable. He got me into the perfect car right away! I am always impressed by the level of customer service at Toyota, but today was truly exceptional. If you need a new car ask for Thai!
Used to be happy with their customer service, but after not getting a return call from their service department after 3 messages left (and politely notifying their phone concierge of this issue), i will be taking my business elsewhere.
We had a great experience buying our new Tacoma! Bode is the coolest car salesman I’ve ever met and Errol made everything extremely simple. We would definitely recommend this specific dealership to anyone looking for a Toyota!
We bought a new toyota sienna. It had a cracked windshield and they were for parts to replace it. They called me and told me that the parts were in and they would pick it up Monday and return it Tuesday no loner. When we called Tues they it will not be ready until Thursday. My wife is leaving on a trip Wednesday so all they could say about that is sorry. I will find another place to deal with next time
Nothing short of super professionals. Big shout out to Abraham and Daniel who got me in a truck I absolutely loved. The process was very easy and I got a great deal on my trade in. I feel I was treated more than fairly and will not hesitate to bring them more business when its time to upgrade my wifes car. Please give these people a try and they will help you find the vehicle of your dreams.
It was a very helpful experience! Braynt really helped us out! He was patient and informative.Thank you very much for your help! Will definitely come back !
I was pleased to learn that Toyota of Portland installs the Cat Shield theft deterrent for Prius cars. I was even more pleased that the price was good and they had an appointment right away. My service advisor, Anthony Freeman, was very professional and helpful.
I was emailing and texting, back and forth, all day about a specific 2021 4Runner. The salesman sent a spec sheet with a listed sale price. I set an appointment for when I got off work. I drove an hour to the dealer, only to find out they wanted to mark it up $4k. Had I known they wanted to mark it up I wouldn’t have perused the vehicle and instead gone to another dealer. The deceptive and greedy tactics and attempts to bully people into paying for things they don’t need, know about or want, isn’t anything I want to associate with. I would have thought someone coming in with a cash deposit and financing already setup would be a “gimme” sale for any salesman, guess not.
Truly accountable and reliable service!I was uneasy after a big service to my car due to a check engine light on and drop on fuel economy a week after the service. After a call and talking to the right person, they got my car in for a free inspection to make sure there was nothing wrong with it after their service. They assured me the car is in great condition and if the check engine light come back on theyll run a free diagnostic. They got your back!
Wonderful car buying experience. I felt taken care of and heard as a customer. My vehicle had to come from another dealer and while the timing did not go to plan the team at Broadway made things happen and still made delivery of my new 4runner on the day we agreed to, just a little later 😊. They communicated well from what I was looking for all the way thru financing to vehicle delivery.
This was the easiest car service experience Ive had! Drop off was quick and simple, and I was contacted when the car was ready for pick-up. The car was serviced efficiently and appropriately, and there were no unexpected charges.
Excellent experience. Highly recommend Roman as a sales representative. Absolutely no pressure and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells. Great deal and great team of sales people.
Roman was a very helpful, and knowledgable salesperson. He has my 100% recommendation. Thank you, and thank you Toyota of Portland team. Great cars sell on their own, but great salespeople make it work!
I literally threw out $5000 to them for a used vehicle. I filled out the necessary forms the sales representative got back to me and said my credit wasnt bad at all. I offered to put money down, I feel I did everything I could to get me that car I wanted. The sales representative communicated he couldnt locate the vehicle and never have I heard any more from this Representative. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE...TAKE IT SOME WHERE ELSE.
I usually go to Toyota of Portland to get my car serviced once I was informed of their happy hour services. I went in yesterday and Andrew B. had informed me that they didn’t have that special anymore. Although I was sad, he added on that it was an HQ decision and not their locations. Which is understandable, can’t be upset at things out of your control. Fortunately, he did find a coupon to use for my service for a small discount of the overall price. After explaining what my service will be and the cost, he told me how long it would take to be done. As I began to walk away, he remembered to properly introduce himself - which I thought was nice as most people forget to introduce themselves.Eventually he returned with the checklist of my car and talked to me about all the categories that got checked in the red section, it was nice to hear thorough explanations of each item and he suggested which one(s) to do day of if I could and do the others at a different time. It’s great when someone is pushing to do a service instead of all of them at once. Great experience and he gave me a few free car wash coupons. I’m assuming all the things he did are under his job responsibilities but too many times have there been members that skimp out on the small details forgetting most people don’t know too much about their car.
Originally I had the highest praise for Sam and this dealership. However, after ordering my truck and putting down my deposit I had numerous occasions I emailed asking for an update and no reply. Other times I was given updates with statements like “ next week”, “7-10 days” etc. the follow ups were sorry I didn’t know. Three months later and still no truck. This was my dream truck, configured exactly how I wanted it and now I’m done. Either it’s a lack of honesty or a lack of knowledge, not sure which but this was difficult.
Had a multi-point inspection done and informed the tech that there was an issue with the transmission shifting heavily. They serviced the transmission. Now two weeks later I am calling a tow truck because the car will not run when put into gear.
Our experience at Toyota of Portland was outstanding. Our sales associate was Arath who was incredibly personable and well-versed in the model that we selected to lease. We spoke with others at the dealership and they too were fantastic. Like many people, we are nervous when car shopping because of prior bad experiences with high pressured sales people and bait and switch tactics. However, at Toyota of Portland we could relax and even enjoy the process! Thank you.
