Super honest, incredibly kind. I came in For service on a tire that kept losing air and they not only fixed my issue but actually waived the fee because they had seen my daughter & I get into an auto accident in front of the shop. That sort of community spirit should be rewarded. We’ll be going here for all our tire needs from now on.

Been getting my tires here for years for multiple cars. I left work and noticed I have a low tire, I put air in it, and drove it home, to Gills Point S Tire, 13 miles, because thats where I have been getting all my tire needs and they have been great up until now. I walked in and said I needed a flat fixed, and this is at 3:50pm. The guy behind the counter said not today, they were about to close in an hour and they were busy. He directed me to some used tire place down the street. Im about 4 weeks away from buying wheels and tires for my bronco, and it was going to be Gills. I will never step foot in there again. I go to leave and the same guy that said they were too busy, is out in the bay sitting on a stack of tires jawing with another worker. I would have gladly paid for it to be fixed if guys had to stay late, but he seemed more interested in going home than customer service. Oh well I guess they have enough customers.

Amanda and Jose took great care of me today! I was met in the lobby with a smile and was told “We will take care of you!”. Tires look fantastic and the service here was excellent. Will be a returning customer with much thanks.

I took my car in years ago for tires. I got better tires at a better price than an different tire store (no names). I decided since they treated me so well to get take my wifes car in and get tires. Good quality tires good quality help and good quality price.Took my car in to get oil changed. Same thing excellent service excellent people.Months later I took my car in to get the whole front end reworked. They put in quality parts not aftermarket and I was treated very well and was happy with the price.I took my wifes car in and they redid front calipers rotors and pads.I will say it again, they took very good care of my wife and I. The price was less than what I expected. The other mentioned tire store would have charged at least double for the same parts and same work.I have been to different shops over the years so I know things can be difficult and I can too but; Ive had no problems with Gills point S.Maybe it should be called Spencers Point SDid I say I like these guys? Well I do.

This place is great. I have purchased tires, had a brake job and had a catalytic converter shield installed. When I called to ask if they could take the back seats out of my Ford van, they not only did it, but did it for free. They are friendly, efficient and competitively priced. And conveniently located within walking distance from my house. Couldnt be happier with their service!

Got tires for my sprinter van here. There was a small issue that they didnt realize just how big the vehicle as at first, but they got it straightened out and got me rolling. Feel like they did good honest work for a fair price. Would recommend.

I go here for all my car needs, Ive been going for the past 2 years and have always had excellent service. Ive gone in roughly 5 times with our households 2 cars this year, and each time, customer service is excellent from all staff members, and they work hard and work quickly. Three of those times Ive gone in for a low tire, and within 45 minutes the air in my tire is full and I walk out not having paid a thing. I will be getting new tires here because I want to support these guys over Costco, or other larger companies. One of their staff, Spencer, spent over 20 minutes answering all my questions about tires, and more, and stayed late to give me quotes. Above and beyond service. Please support local!! These guys are really great.

This place is the best! The prices are so reasonable and they are super reliable and friendly. It is a one stop shop. I got my tire patched once (which they didn’t charge me for) and they replaced my burnt out license plate light FOR FREE Without me even asking. I took my car in today for an oil change and once again I had a leak in a different tire (ran over a nail) and they had my oil change done and tire patched within an hour. I noticed how friendly the staff was when I went a while back-and my husband noted the same thing today-great customer service!!

Ive been going to Gills for years and cant recommend them enough! Always friendly service (for instance, they always greet me by name!). I think its important to point out, too, that I never feel taken advantage of and always have a positive experience, whether its a simple oil change or a mysterious sound I cant quite figure out. Theyve earned a life long customer!

I called Gills to ask about getting a headlight changed. I originally tried doing the repair myself, but then realized it was best to have a professional handle it. I called Gills and was able to get a same-day appointment. Brian worked with me directly and he was extremely accommodating. By the time I was done with work, the light had been changed! Brian was extremely friendly and professional. I HIGHLY recommend taking your car here for ALL of your repair needs! I know I will definitely be back and will encourage everyone I know to check out Gills before going anywhere else.

These guys are great! Affordable, thorough, quick, respectful and they don’t try to hassle you or pressure you into getting services you don’t want (or need). I luckily live quite close to them which makes car maintenance easy for me, but they make it even easier!

Our experience with Gills Point S was awful from start to finish. We took our truck in for a problem with the fuel system, and it was over a week before they even took a look at it. They then told us that we needed a new fuel pump but it wouldn’t show up for a few days. After yet another week they claimed it was finished, but once we picked it up we couldn’t even put more than a few cents of gas in at a time.This is a known problem with aftermarket parts, but even a cursory google search comes up with hundreds of ways to fix it. Not willing to give them another chance we took it to Gary’s Auto who fixed the problems Gill’s Point S caused, and also discovered the “new” fuel pump was never installed. When we confronted them about it they claimed they had a system where they took pictures every step of the way, but pictures of our truck were conveniently missing. They still tried to say they actually put in a new part, and push the blame onto our new mechanic.I’ve had good luck with other Point S locations and wanted to give them a shot but this location took an unreasonable amount of time, didn’t fix the initial problem, caused NEW problems, and most importantly charged us for parts that they never even installed.These guys are unethical, dangerous, incompetent and needed hand-holding every step of the way.

I went in to have a flat tire fixed they were fast in fixing it but by the time I arrived home my tire was flat again. They didn’t fix it properly and didn’t put my lug nut covers or steam cover back on. I paid 15$ for the service. It ended up causing me to have to buy a new tire due to the fact I drove from Portland to Vancouver on it flat. I tried to call them the same day and the day after and got no answer.

Ive been here several times and the service has always been great. My wait times are minimal and theyll tell me upfront if the wait will be longer than normal. I will recommend this shop to people I know.

My check engine light came on last Wednesday and my car died in the middle of the intersection, took my car in the next morning to Gils Point S, the girl who was working at the counter who looked like she just got her drivers license last week, insisted that an appointment is needed with check engine light diagnosis which I totally understand! My problem is her lack of empathy and she had no desire to help a customer within her best ability. All she said to me was told me to go to O’Reilly so they could run the code for me(???) She couldn’t even run the code for me there even if she can’t get me in the same day and the fact i’ve already brought my car in. Like at least DO SOMETHING! I was in distress since I had never had this problem before .. she couldn’t be more care less.Anyways, long story short, I made a few phone calls, another auto shop 3 miles down the road took me in! They required appointments as well but told me to bring in my car right after I told them my car actually died while I was driving.. they diagnosed my car within 2 hours despite how busy they were, and fixed it with a day and a half! If the girl at Gils Point S cared enough to listen AND bring my car issue to a real mechanic that works there then they would’ve had my business.Any auto shop can fix a car, you lose business when you have no empathy for your customers.I will never go back again and will also advise all my coworkers and friends do the same.

I had a big rod pierce my tire. I was so nervous that I had to buy a new tire. Brent or Bret (not good with names sorry) he made sure i was at ease. He took care of my flat and patched it up in no time. He then put air on my spare that was almost flat ad well. He also checked all my other tires air pressure. Had me out in 15 minutes with no charge. Even though I bought my tires at Gills Point S on 82nd. I was so happy with his customer service. This is why I only go to Gills Point S. They care about their customers. THANK YOU!

I had my 2001 Miata towed to the st.johns location.it wouldn’t start.also the convertible top was stuck in down position. I left a large note saying DO NOT PUT CONVERTIBLE TOP UP, and I told the manager the same.After my car sat in the shop for 2 months, they called me and said my car was ready. They didn’t fix it. Had to have it towed back home and the shape it was in was HORRENDOUS!The convertible top was forced up and shredded beyond repair. Personal information of other clients left on the seat....along with a pair of glasses, printed material off the internet on how to fix the car, parts and screws found all over the car and in the engine. The covers to fuse box and dash board were off and laying on the floor! Even more damage than I can mention here.I sent 6 emails to corporate office. The last one I sent, they said that was only one.In a nut shell, they denied any wrong doing and my claim to install a new top was denied!!!!! Family member got my car running.I will now go to an attorney as I will not let them treat me this way!!!!!i hope they are prepared to answer when I send them all the pictures I took of damage!!!! They will fix my convertible top as they shredded it and tried to pull it up when I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEM NOT TO!!!!!

I have been very happy with our service at Gills Point S- St. Johns. They have done our tires and oil changes since they opened-- and Tire Factory before that. We get great coupons from them and they always have helpful, friendly people working.

Needs an after hours contact option!!!A couple of days after getting my truck serviced (only one round trip later), I had parts fall off while I was driving down the road!I tried to call and leave a message or anything, but the phone didnt even ring through! It just dialed and then disconnected...No voicemail or answering service at all...IM VERY DISAPPOINTED...😖😖😖

My daughter had a flat tire, couldnt see where it was leaking from. She took the tire down to be repaired. They determined that the valve was loose, fixed that, re-inflated the tire. NO CHARGE!! Thank you very much Gills Point S Tire & Auto in St Johns. Great customer service, and it was the day before Thanksgiving.

Went in to get new brakes on my rear tires. They were completely honest with me; stated they werent ready for replacing and cleaned out the drum and brakes for free! They also rotated my tires for free too. Super friendly, and I will definitely be back.

Gil’s Point S has always provided me with professional and friendly service. I’ve been taking my Toyota 4 Runner there for routine maintenance for years now and have not had any issues. Jose and the rest of the crew are knowledgeable and will take good care of your vehicle.There’s also some sort of rewards program so every once in a awhile I get an oil change for free!

Spencer spent a lot of time explaining options for new tires. The work was done in an efficient and timely manner. They called and left a message for me but didnt answer when I called back. They had called to advise me that the car needed alignment as well but didnt leave that in the message. I was happy to derermine they had time to perform the alignment the same day, even though it meant leaving the car there a few extra hours.

Reliable folks over here. Was recommended to Gill’s Point S by a friends whose cycling team is sponsored by them. They were able to change my tires within an hour, granted the tires that I had purchased were what they had on hand. Needless to say the people were friendly, knowledgeable, easy to understand, quick and efficient. I’ll be going to them from now on but hopefully not too soon!

This is a great small tire shop! Backed by a large regional warranty but locally owned. We mounted tires to see how they looked on the car, checked clearances, and then mounted the next size up which looked so much better! This was a fun place to shop for tires. The environmentally responsible Finnish Nokian winter tires are the way to go!!

Glad I got a second opinion. I brought a vehicle to a Les Schwab location to get a routine alignment. The vehicle had a slight pull to the left that I wanted corrected.After dropping it off and it being there for an hour I got a call to inform me that the camber was too far out of spec to align and that they suggested replacement parts and labor that might fix it totaling over $500. I rushed to the location and they explained to me that the camber on my front left side was 5 degrees negative and that the opposite side was 2 degrees positive. He presented me with a printout detailing the test. I asked if he ran it twice and he claimed that he had. 5 degrees of negative camber should be pretty visible and I didnt see anything on the vehicle to suggest that it would have such a degree of camber. Moreover, this camber difference side-to-side would logically indicate a pull to the right not a pull to the left.Luckily, Les Schwab did not attempt to charge me because no alignment was performed. I thanked them for their service and proceeded to bring the vehicle to Gills Point S where (telling them nothing of my experience at Les Schwab) they performed an alignment within an hour and provided me with a pre and post alignment printout. Their print out revealed that the chamber on both sides was within reasonable specification (less than 1.7°) and that the left toe was in need of correction (a diagnosis which i had presumed before bringing the vehicle in for alignment). At Gills they test drove before my payment and assured me it was a successful alignment. Sure enough the car now drives straight and handles great. Go figure.Long story short always get a second or third opinionwhen youre being told to throw money at a problem. People make mistakes and a companies name isnt everything. The guys at Gills took good care of me and I saved over $400 by getting a second opinion from them.

Professional, courteous, fast and capable. What’s not to love? I have all of my personal cars as well as an rv amd my fleet vehicle serviced here. Tires, brakes, tuneups etc. Recently a woman was overheard complaining about her lawnmower not cranking. It was in her truck. The friendly team pulled it out and had it working in minutes. Not that you should take your lawnmower here (not their job) but they went out of their way to make this person’s experience that much better. Kudos to Lombard Point S!

I got great service here.They have reasonable prices, and the people that work there are great. I bought a set of All-Season tires last fall that I really like. I have had my oil done. It was easy to schedule to get it done and it was done on time. This is the only place Ill take my car now!

My understanding of buying tires at Point S is that if you get a flat, you can have it fixed at any Point S location. For Free. This is not the store I bought the tires for a family members car, but they live closer to this location and went here. I wouldnt have minded even if they charged me. The tire has plenty of tread on it, but is starting to show wear on the outside edges. I was told that they wouldnt fix it, and I needed to buy a new one. It was just a nail in the center where there is plenty of tread left. Obviously there business model is to push people into buying new tires. Beware! I went out to the Point S I usually go to at SE 176th and Division and they fix it without saying a word about the wear.

This place is the greatest. Reliable and speedy service at a good price! We highly recommend Point S for your tire and service needs.

I took my van in for what I thought was going to be tie-rods and a sensor or two. The engine light was a simple fix and the front-end was much more than tie-rods. The guys at Gills Point S explained everything to me and took care of it all. My van has never driven so well and I have never been happier with it. I wont go anywhere else and I will recommend you to everyone!

I moved to Portland - St. John’s area about three years ago and someone referred me to Les Schwab. For two years I had lots of issues with their work, alignments, tires and their waiting time is insane. Finally last year a friend referred me to Gills Point. I no longer have issues with the alignment. I had a flat tire this week and they repaired it without an appointment, for free and with no crazy wait time. I will never go anywhere else, they are friendly, have excellent and professional service each and every time.

These guys really know their stuff! I have been going here for over 5 years, and just last month I took my baby, a 96 F250 4 Door 4X4 Short Bed Turbo Diesel truck in for an alignment. I replaced my steering box/gear my self, but you need the right equipment to do a good alignment. They not only did a perfect alignment, but they also found and fixed a problem caused by a different repair shop. These trucks are rather particular when it comes to their front ends, but the St. Johns Tire Factory handled it perfectly, keeping me in the loop all the way, and charging me a great price too.Its hard to beat getting great work AND a great price! I recommend them, and that says a lot.

FANTASTIC customer Service from the Tire Factory today. I was sent there by my boyfriend to get a flat tire fixed. Low and behold he actually sent me to the wrong place. But Zach was on it and fixed my flat for me free of charge and was nice enough to print me a quote to get my front tires fixed as well. THANK YOU for such awesome service, sometimes that is hard to find. Ill be back!

These guys are very helpful and not too busy to get your work done unlike Les Schwab. Gills fixed a flat for me in 25 minutes whereas Les was going to be 3 hours. Also Gills sells name brand tires for less than Les Schwab no name brand.

They tried to charge us 80 dollars on an oil change just for labor. We were going to provide the oil and filter. Does not seem fair at all. I cant comprehend why they would charge us that unless they just didnt want to do it. I wish they could have been upfront about it.

I bring all my work vehicles, personal cars and wifes car here. Its nice to actually find an honest shop that doesnt nickel and dine you and are upfront with their costs. Went to les Schwab for my wifes suv they said it was multiple things quoted $1200.00. Took it to here they pulled everything apart found that the only issue was a bearing and needed new brakes due to the bearing being bad. Had her suv up and running in 2 days and half the price. Looked over everything that was quoted from les Schwab and found nothing what they claimed just a bad bearing. She has been driving on it for a year and running like a champ. These guys are awesome!
