Really happy with Mike/ Office Always a pleasure and Prompt service when we need them. Most recent experience was minor accident (lot more traffic... first rain was really slippery so...) they were available, informative and claims dept took care of it with our shop.

Mike and his team are always available and ready to assist and help with any issue, I would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody looking for auto, home or life insurance. The fact that we got the best pricing when compared with other major companies is just a great bonus.

I am a 15 year Allstate customer (7 with Mike after he bought out my old agent). Both Mike Gopsha and his office staff have been non-responsive to our many and repeated phone and email requests for follow-up and information pertaining to a car accident claim, rolling over life insurance policies, and other policy issues. It is worth mentioning he has given us misleading, false, and illegal information pertaining to policies. If you want to add or upgrade a policy, hes magically available and delighted to take you for coffee and to take your check, after that you get a receptionist who refers all queries to an 800 # (if youre lucky), or youre just ghosted altogether. This guy will not be an advocate for you or your family. We have filed complaints with Allstate and state regulatory bodies, and are shopping other agencies and carriers.

Had a very bad experience with State farm. As a result I cancelled my policy. Called Allstate got me signed up for renters insurance very swiftly. Cheaper rate and only 250.00 deductible. Go Allstate!

I called 10/15/18 asking for a quote on rental insurance. Without asking any details about the building I was moving to, or the value of my possessions, they quoted me $261 per year (and thats with the discount applied for paying through my checking account)! Them being pushy, and me not really knowing better, I reluctantly gave them my information and told them to start a policy next month. However, immediately after getting off the phone, I called State Farm on 23rd and Burnside to see what their quote for me would be. The difference was shocking because they told me I could be covered for much less at $115 per year!So, now knowing this information, I immediately called Gopshas office back and told them to cancel it. They were friendly enough and said that they hadnt even finished processing it, so my account wouldnt be charged. I thanked them for understanding.Flash forward to 10/22/18 and I see a charge from Allstate for $200.61 from my checking account pending. I call them and tell them that there was a mistake and, as they look up my information, they say it had been cancelled and that it will be reversed before posting to my account. I tell them that its unacceptable that this happened at all, but as long as it didnt go further than just being in pending status, I could tolerate that. They assured me repeatedly that it wouldnt.Little did I know, the next day on 10/23/18 that it would post that morning! So soon after 10 AM, I went to the office in person and talked to the agent that worked at that location and demanded my money back. He was clearly inexperienced and had no idea what he was doing, and said I would have to wait another 5-7 business days for a refund. I said that was unacceptable, and that he needed to figure out how to correct this by the end of the week. In order to get me out of his office he acted all friendly and said he needed to call his manager so that they could figure out a solution. Trying to be reasonable, I said okay, but asked him to call me back later today to let me know. He promised me that he would before 5 PM and assured me that it would be his highest priority.However, as 6 PM rolls around, I received no call, email, or anything. So now I have to call the corporate office to deal with this mess. Fortunately, the workers there are much more competent and professional because they were absolutely shocked that I was charged at all, and they were especially appalled that my refund would take another 5-7 business days! They assured me that those were not good business practices at all, and they forwarded me on to speak to their supervisor directly because, after looking into my account, they could see I wasnt making this up or being unreasonable at all. Only now am I actually being treated the way I was supposed to be after getting corporate involved.These people at Gopshas office lied to my face (or worse, theyre completely incompetent at their jobs and really have no idea whats going on). Im in the process of moving and cant just have $200 less in my account between paydays after paying first, last and security deposit on my new apartment. Im sure that other Allstate offices are run much better than Mike Gopshas as I have gone through them in the past, but by all means if you do choose to go through Allstate, choose any other agent besides Gopsha.If you want to keep it in the neighborhood like I did though, do yourself a favor and call John Nogueiras State Farm office on 23rd and Burnside. I spoke to Sherry, the office manager, and she was an absolute delight. She made sure I didnt pay any more than I needed to, and was completely transparent through the whole process. She was also quick to email me all the documents I needed from her. Plus, there was no discount for paying with a checking account. She said whatever payment method I preferred would be the same price.

Allstate took good care of me when the roof of my home sustaineddamage from a falling tree in a bad storm a few years ago. I would recommend Allstate to friends and family!
