Melody, Diane and Kevin have always been a pleasure to work with. They make things easy, are extremely responsive, and they are good communicators. Ive had homeowners, renters, auto and landlord property insurance through them over the past 6 years. The prices are quite fair, especially given the service level. In addition, they are not pushy sales people, just looking to make sure your risk is covered.

Earlier this year I was in a serious automobile accident. The accident resulted in my vehicle being totaled and me spending three weeks between the hospital and rehab. Before leaving rehab I had received a check covering the value of my one year old RAV4. The responsiveness and value were exceptional but not the most notable part of my State Farm experience. One key item not initially captured at the time of the accident was my government badge. It was Diane Newman’s tireless efforts working with folks at the wreckage location which found my badge. They wanted to mail it to me but Diane didn’t want it getting lost. She drove to the site, picked it up herself and hand delivered both my badge and the check to a family member at rehab. Diane is not just an insurance representative, she cares about her members. You feel that this is more than a business for her but almost as if your extended family. Don’t appreciate that enough until you find yourself in a time of need. I cannot say enough about State Farm but most notably Diane Newman and her Agency. One additional note. The State Farm App is easy to use. As my medical insurance determined what they wont cover, bills automatically are linked to State Farm who covers up to a specific value which my policy allows. I had renters insurance through this agency for about 7 years. It was easy to set up and competitively priced. Automatic renewal always went smoothly and the rates never increased dramatically - they actually went down once without any action on my part because of a payment fee change. It was easy to update my policy when I moved apartments, and Diane, Kevin, and Melody were always quick to respond when I needed quotes on other lines of insurance. When I did need to cancel my policy, they made it fast and painless. I would recommend them.

The team are always so helpful and friendly and very quick to reply! They helped me rapidly when I had a broken windshield and when I needed a policy for my dads life insurance. They are the best team in the state of Maine for sure!! Melody is sooo great!

Wow. Diane was so rude to me regarding a policy change that they of course did not put into effect on the correct date. This caused me to pay for almost a full extra month. Good for Dianne; bad for me. When I called she just added more red tape and jargon to try to make it more difficult. Sad...

Let me start off by saying that I have been a loyal customer to State Farm and Diane Newman for 10+ years.I called the office today to have a conversation about my current insurance policy in hopes of manipulating the coverage details to reduce my monthly payment as I have been paying for coverage that is no longer needed (renters insurance) for YEARS. I mentioned that I had received a quote through a competitor for half the cost of my current premium and Diane went off her rocker - defending my policy, calling it “the best of the best”, explaining that she “couldn’t offer me anything less.” For starters, Diane, my car is 11 years old - I don’t need an insurance policy that is “the best of the best”. I also don’t need renters insurance BECAUSE IM NOT RENTING.Throughout the conversation, Diane repeatedly offered to cancel my policy TODAY, on the spot, and wouldn’t even entertain the idea of reviewing my policy’s details or discussing how to lower the cost. Absolutely REFUSED. Instead, she attempted to bully me into thinking that there was no reason whatsoever to review my policy or request any changes & it was perfect the way that it was.Diane never asked for my information to confirm my account, nor did I even tell her my name. She never asked why I was interested in updating my policy, what MY concerns were - the only thing she wanted to get across in our conversation today was that *I* was wrong, my policy was perfect & she wasn’t making any changes... unless it was to cancel the policy all together.I have worked in customer service for 15+ years and I would never IMAGINE treating a customer the way I was treated today. I am absolutely blown away, appalled even, at Dianes lack of customer service skills & cannot believe that she talks to ANYONE, let alone her loyal, paying customers, the way she talked to me this afternoon.If you are thinking about becoming a customer of Diane Newman’s, I HIGHLY suggest you think twice and you look elsewhere. My rate at a competitor was 50% below what Diane is able to offer/the rate I have been paying for the last 10+ years.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -In response to Diane’s reply...Diane, darling, you didn’t give me any option other than to cancel my policy! You heard the words “lower my payment” & you must have blacked out.I’ll remind you, though - you explained, multiple times actually, that taking renters insurance off my policy would cost me more per month... because I was getting a “discount”. I was listening. What doesn’t make sense though, Diane, is how you’re only able to offer one car insurance policy and why it costs 50% more than what your competitors are able to offer (& at their highest tier of coverage, across the board! Oh, and get this - no renters insurance!!).Since you’re trying to spin this one star review back on me as being “the hard to please customer” (is this method laid out in some “Bad Google reviews for Dummies” book or something?) - it was your job upon answering the phone to lay the groundwork for respect - you get what you give, lady!

Diane and Kevin are both unbelievable human beings inside and out, on top of being amazing at their jobs. The prices might not always complete, but that is not something they themselves decide. Paying a little extra for truly incomparable service is well worth it. They really go above and beyond for their customers and would never sell you anything just to put money in their pockets - they really understand the saying the customer comes first. I give this office a million thumbs up!!!

I have had State Farm Insurance for more years than I can remember. Car and home. I cant even find the words to say to the public to tell you how great they are. I can only tell you what happened to me.I left my home the first of Oct. to visit my family in Carrabassett Valley. I was there for 4 days. When I arrived home I entered the front door and heard water running. I went to the kitchen nothing, entered the bedroom and was walking in water..Water everywhere in one end of kitchen, my bedroom and bathroom. A pipe had split and had been running for the 4 days I was gone. Lost floors, walls, insulation, furniture and on and on.I called my plummer after turning off the water valve then State Farm. Action immediately, Diane Newman helped me through everything one step at a time. I couldnt have done it alone. Diane and her staff took over, first the clean up, then gutted everything, the estimate was done right off, a claims agent was right on the phone with me and another step by step kind person to get things done asap. The best service anyone could ask for. I had so many calls from State Farm to see if everything was being done and if I was ok and satisfied. A A+++ Company and the best Insurance money can buy. Thank you Diane, David Leidy in Claims and everyone at State Farm. A disaster that was made so easy....Got to tell you all was covered by my insurance, everything. Who could ask for anything better.

I switched to State Farm Diane Newmans office and could not be more greatfull for there attention to me. When I have had problems with technology and hooking up drive safe and save app her team stuck with me and never made me feel stupid or dumb. They were patient and understanding.
