I went to comfort auto & body repair after getting an absolutely outrageous estimate from another shop. They gave me a reasonable estimate and were able to stick to that price. The work was done quickly and you cant even tell where the bumper scratch is (I hit a wall parking my car). The painting is identical and everyone at the shop was wonderful to deal with. I told multiple friends around Portland about this great shop. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

These guys really saved my butt! I would have been stranded in the city over night if it werent for this shop. They diagnosed my problem in minutes and since I was from out of town, they did everything in their power to get me back up and running. They were so caring and helpful. My rear caliper and brake flush were preformed quickly and efficiently. The guy up front was super nice too. Would recommend! Good people and good service.

Comfort Auto & Body Repair was great in being able to get my auto right in (during a heatwave) for cooling system and a/c repair. The gentleman in the front office was friendly and professional - and they were very good at following up throughout the morning with their diagnosis. I was very impressed with the service and the costs and am going to be using them in the future for sure!

They did such an amazing job on my Mazda 3! Unfortunately my car got vandalized with the windshield being shattered and had scratches on the hood and front bumper damage. They did a great job of keeping me in the loop about the process, amazing customer service and they were very timely! I had my car back in about a week and a half, while most other body shops would take about a month before they even start work on your car. My mazda turned out better than I expected! I definitely recommend going to them!!

I had the pleasure of visiting Comfort Auto & Body Repair twice in the past month! The first time, I had my driver’s side mirror replaced as someone had hit and damaged it. They fixed it up in an hour or so and fully washed/detailed my car. It looked brand new! The second time around, they rewired my brake lights and AC, which was also done in a speedy time frame. I took it in the morning of (on a Friday, no appointment) and it was finished by 2pm! Everything is working great, the people are very kind, and the service is excellent! I will only be visiting them for any car-related issues in the future!

This is by far the best shop Ive ever had a car serviced at. Over the past few years I have had a few things pop up on various vehicles and the team at Comfort Auto have done exceptional work each time I bring my vehicles to them. Something that really stands out with these guys is how genuine they are. This is the only shop that I have been to that does not make me feel like they are too busy to take the time to talk to me and figure out exactly why I am there. They are very transparent and do a thorough job of explaining what and why things need or do not need serviced. Additionally, they are open and responsive to the random questions I have when I have try to do some work myself. I have been to a few mechanics in the area since moving out here 4yrs ago, and this was by far the best experience I’ve had. I drive an older, high-mileage SUV, and the team at Comfort Auto & Body Repair were able to diagnose the issue and repair it the day of. They even reached out via text message a few days later to check on the repair to see how it was holding up and buffed my headlights as a courtesy. I highly recommend Comfort Auto and Body Repair. The owner, Daniel Leveque, exhibited some of the finest customer service I have ever seen. I damaged the under carriage of my vehicle while working on it and took it to Comfort, and they were willing to get me into the shop the next day. Unfortunately, my insurance company made things a pain by unnecessarily complicating matters, but that did not deter Comfort and Daniel. They stayed committed to my issue and my work, and ultimately got me in despite the insurance company annoyances and did a fantastic job with a smile. I dont want to have to need body work again, but if I do, Im going to Comfort.

I have been driving since I was 17 and have seen many mechanics in my life and this is by far my favorite joint. Its always intimidating going to a mechanic not knowing anything about cars but I didnt feel these people took advantage of my lack of knowledge (its happened many a times). Daniel and Ron went above and beyond to try and get my car repaired. I was able to come back free of charge after a repair cus I still had ongoing problems. I recommend 10/10 these people are ethical, honest and make sure you get your moneys worth.

They got my ford fiesta in & out in a day.

Took my Tacoma in for some body damage on one of the doors. My insurance handled all the financials so all I had to do was drop it off and wait for my check. Took about two days and they also fixed some paint chipping around one of the windows on the other side too! Couldnt be happier with how it looks and how fast the turn around was. Even washed it and got some of the stupid tree sap off. Definitely recommend them for body work if you need it.

I scheduled a drop off of my truck with Ron. He was able to help me in understanding what was wrong with my trucks AC in about 3 hours after I dropped it off. He was clear in his description and is a knowledgeable mechanic. The charges are fair and I am happy to support this business in the future!

Very happy with my experience here. Will be bringing future car issues and maintenance here from now on.My parked car was side swiped by a JMI limousine a while back, and ever since then my bumper was misaligned and lost many points of support. Months later, I notice I need to replace the driver side signal bulb. I was unable to install the bulb because the bulb had melted the socket in such a way that obstructed the bulb from getting in the headlight.Ron was very polite and professional, as was Daniel.When I returned to pick up my car, not only was the bulb successfully replaced, the bumper had been restored to what visually appears its original state. From the outside, it is now impossible to tell there was serious damage to the bumper. Extremely pleased with my experience. Highly recommend.

Great service, friendly staff, with an extra attention to detail and quality

I have taken my car here several times over the years and the last time I informed them I had a warranty that they need to call and get a preauthorization for but they never did, So it ended up costing me almost $400 out of pocket which my insurance should have paid for and they never apologised. When I brought it up the next time I brought my car in I was told me to please leave that they would not work on my car anymore.

Daniel and his team at Comfort Auto Body treat you with the utmost integrity and have gone to bat for me with insurance companies multiple times. They saved my beloved 96 4Runner from being totaled a couple years ago and when it was hit (again!) on the street by a drunk driver they did there best to prevent a total. They called dealerships and yards across the country trying to find parts that would be of quality as new OEM would total the vehicle. The car ended up being totaled, but they tried so hard to keep me in my vehicle with little benefit to them. Would recommend them to anyone. Honest, great communication and quality work. What else could you ask for?

I chose to go to Comfort because of all of the reviews and they were absolutely right. From the time I arrived until the next day when everything was done I felt like I was a long valued customer. The front desk intake process was quick and staff were always professional and polite I’m person and over the phone. I believe that Ron was the mechanic working on my car and he was very professional and warm over the phone. When it was time for pick up I was helped by Daniel who was kind and caring and went above and beyond to help me get the most out of my visit. My sister was witness to Daniel’s kindness and will be bringing her vehicle to Comfort for some work as well. I will definitely recommend Comfort Auto and will be returning in the future. Thank you!

I will do my best to stay tactful on this review, but after my experience here; I am amazed they still have customers. So to begin, I called this business asking them if they would be able to perform the three needed tasks on my car; Tire pressure sensor replacement, oil change and taking a look at the towing light system as it was not working. I was told it would be no problem to do the first two, but the third they would investigate but couldn’t say they would be able to fix it for sure. Completely a respectable answer, so I took my car in a day or two later. After dropping it off at 8 am, they called me around 330-4pm. The technician was extremely rude and belittled me for bringing it there for the pressure sensor, stating I should have gone to Les Schwab, he then told me (without even looking at my vehicle yet) that he wasn’t going to be able to do anything for the tow lights but he was about to start my oil change. I was extremely frustrated with the way he spoke to me, so I called the main office and asked them to just not touch my vehicle and I would be there in minutes to pick it up. I’m not sure if the man in the office was the owner or management, but he was one of the most misogynistic, condescending and tyrannical men I’ve encountered. I tried keeping my composure and asking for my keys over and over so I could leave. My car was right outside- all I needed was my keys. Instead of handing them to me, he then continued to say I was wrong about the technician being rude, trying to “educate” me about what my vehicle needed. He kept me in that office despite me asking and stating “I just want my keys and to leave” repetitively. It took almost 10 minutes for him to finish belittling me and finally give me my keys to leave.I would recommend that any woman who doesn’t enjoy being talked to as if she is a child or as if she is completely ignorant- AVOID THIS SHOP. This business is clearly stuck in a misogynistic era and does not deserve our hard earned money.*Side note; the next day I took my vehicle into Ford, they had everything fixed and checked what the shop had tried to tell me was a “faulty ignition” (it wasn’t faulty). Not once did they speak down to me and customer service was impeccable.

I just needed a simple steering wheel cover took and off. They told me it probly be an hour but then they did a second look and it took 20 seconds they save me time and money thanks a lot I really appreciate..It I recommend this place very honest and very efficient.

We live in the neighborhood and have been working with Daniel and Steve for years, taking all of our vehicles to them for minor and major repairs. They are always very nice and easy to work with. Great people, fast service, fair prices.

I’ve taken two different cars here and they’ve always taken care of me and shown me the utmost respect and care. Going to a car repair shop isn’t really ever easy cause you don’t want what to expect. Honestly, if you knew what was wrong with your car or how to fix it you wouldn’t be here, would you? They take all the worry and stress out of feeling like you’re getting ripped off or having to deal with insurance. From crash to when I got my car back the most I said to the other party’s insurance was “here’s what happened, I’m taking my car to comfort” and a simple “okay” after they spoke with comfort about the work needed to be done. They weren’t happy but that’s because one, insurance company’s never like paying for damages and two, they realize comfort doesn’t cut corners like the “recommended” repair shops do. Comfort has been around for years and I’d hope I can bring my sons car here if and when he wrecks his. Grant it he’s only 6 but hell, give it another 12 years and he’s gonna be on the road with the rest of us. This is hands down THE BEST car repair shop. Honest staff, honest prices and best of all, they do ALL of the work. It’s not one of them, “we do some work here then drive your car across town to our paint shop then back here for more work” kinda deals. They take care of insurance, cleaning your car and making you really feel the name “comfort” if you’re ever given the choice on where to bring your car for auto and/or body work, this is the place to be at. Look no further cause you’d just be wasting time.

Im a young woman who moved to Portland about two years ago and have been looking for a reliable mechanic. Ive always been very skeptical of mechanics because of past repair surcharges, but Comfort Auto/Body Repair was literally the BEST experience Ive ever had in my life! Steve and Daniel (the owners) and their entire staff were SUPER transparent, super honest, and very efficient. They assessed and repaired my car the same day! Id definitely recommend them for quality, honest, service!

I brought my 14-year old car to Comfort after a minor collision, and I didn’t want to spend a ton of $ on a full repair because the car just isn’t worth that much anyway. They were able to pop a dent out and smooth it over for about $1,200 less than I had been quoted elsewhere. AND they gave it a quick wash and buffed the headlights at no extra charge! Highly recommend Comfort for their great service!

This body shop did excellent work! They repaired a dent/scrape on the side of the car so well that it is now invisible. Their painter and repair staff were superb and worked overtime to get the quickly repaired. The shop owners are very professional and helpful. Fully recommend.

First of all, Ron, Daniel and the young lady I met in the office are incredibly nice, polite and courteous. Daniel is very good at greeting people making them feel welcome. Ron is just a really nice guy. I was having a problem where my serpentine belt on my full-size E-150 van shredding. I replace the alternator and one of them to see why I was still encountering this problem.Although I thought it would be an easy fix, Ron wanted to take off a lot of the equipment surrounding that area so that he could do a solid diagnosis. I totally agreed with him. After removing all of that equipment you discovered that the power steering pump pulley need to be push back on. You said he had a special tool that would do that and I totally agree and authorized the repair. I thought I had heard a lower amount in his verbal quote over the phone so I was surprised by the final bill when I arrive there to pick up the vehicle. I simply asked him and he imparted to me the facts of the matter. $130 to do the diagnosis and another $130 to put everything back together and push the power steering pump pulley back on. That is very reasonable and his logic was sound. There was a $20 charge on the bill for parts but it did not describe what parts were used. Its always good to understand exactly what the charges are.All this being said, its nice to have a repair shop in the neighborhood that has incredibly professional and gracious people working there. Ron and his entire crew or incredibly honorable and ethical and unfortunately that is a rare combination these days. I highly recommend this repair shop. Everything is clean, tidy and comfortable.Ron obviously knows what hes doing and has a great bedside manner with customers. Dan is a Blazer fan and a very gregarious guy. Drop in and say hello you wont be disappointed with their work or there ethics. They are top-notch.If I have any future Auto Repair needs, Comfort Auto Repair body repair will be where I take my vehicle.Thanks Ron!

Everybody was super nice, the mechanic called and told me what was needed for the 120K service but said since the car is at 117K we can wait a few more months. I also love that it’s a family shop and the last time I was in the whole crew seemed so happy and having fun working. They even had a little contest to see who could buff up my headlights the best (no charge to me, they just couldn’t believe how cloudy they were).I highly recommend Comfort - great work at fair prices and most important you can trust what they’re telling you :)

I took my vehicle in to get a quote. All but one thing, I stated when I walked in. I just wanted to know how much it would be to fix. They call me and want to charge me $140 to diagnose and another $20 ish to sanitize the car because of Covid. Three hours later, I go back, and they tell me all of the things that I told them when walking in and didn’t even give me a quote on how much it would be to actually fix the problems. Needless to say, I was frustrated. They told me I didn’t need to pay if I just went somewhere else. Thanks. GLADLY. I’ll never go back again.

I highly recommend Comfort Auto & Body Repair. The owners Daniel and Steve were fantastic to work with and cared for my 1998 Chevy Suburban like it was their own. This isn’t your average 98 Suburban, you won’t find a nicer one in the entire country. My rig took a hard hit from a driver running a red light. I had considerable body and mechanical damage from the crash. I believed my Suburban was a total loss! Comfort Auto Body was not going to let that happen. I gave Daniel and Steve all the time necessary to get it back to original condition and boy did they ever. I’m amazed at the hard work everyone did. The paint matches perfectly, it runs great and you can’t even tell it was in an accident. Thanks go out to the tow truck driver who recommended this company because I believe the out come would have been far different. Also huge thanks to the body repair workers and mechanic’s who did amazing work. Take your vehicle here you’ll be glad you did.

These guys were awesome! They had a mechanic helping me out within a minute of my arrival. It was such a simple fix (fixing spark plugs) that they didnt even charge me. We used this garage when our 2013 Mazda 3 was hit and run. They were to repair the driver’s side rear panel and door. They told us the car would be done after a couple of days. It wasn’t ready and they didn’t let us know, so we showed up to pick it up. Again, they promised it on a day and it, again, wasn’t ready. When we finally picked it up the door handle ~fell off~ when we tried to open the door. We took it back, they reportedly fixed it, but despite the work they did, that car door sounds “hollow” compared to the other door. I suspect it has something to do with the foam in the core of the door, but I’m not taking it back to them to find out.

The guys at this shop were fast getting my car repaired, friendly, easy to work with, and my car looked brand new when they were done with it. Really impressed with the paint job on my car. After the accident it was hard to imagine the car ever looking the same. It damn near looks better than before the accident! Thanks fellas!

This is the email I sent to the company about my experience with their services:I brought my vehicle in twice due to loud squealing coming from the wheels. I was told I need new brakes (front and back), a brake fluid change and an engine clean. I replaced the back brakes as I was told they were worse and I couldn’t afford to replace front and back immediately. I also paid to have the brake fluid changed.When the car continued squealing I brought it back the next day. I was told that the squealing was actually caused by bad front brakes and it would be an additional 450 to replace them (on top of the $600 I had already spent). I was clear that I was unsure that it was just a brake problem because the squealing was intermittent and much much worse sometimes than others, and often non-existent.After bring my vehicle to a trusted mechanic across town, they found that I had a bad wheel bearing as well as a leaking sway bar. I also needed my rotors replaced. I do not understand how your shop managed to miss these things after I brought it to you twice. I specifically told you i was concerned about over-all safety due to being pregnant.One of the most frustrating things is that I was charged $450 just for the back brakes, when I would have paid $315 with my trusted mechanic. I only went to you because I wanted to find a good mechanic closer to home, and you had excellent reviews. I feel that you wasted my time and did not take my concerns seriously.

This business was recommended by my AFLAC insurance agent. He personally brings his vehicles here. I called and made an appointment with Ron for a brake job on my Dodge Caravan. They got me in the next day. I arrived as they opened, was greeted and provided my new customer info and required services. They gave me a approximate estimate and indicated they would have the job done as soon as possible the same day. They called awhile later to advise me that they discovered water in my brake lines and that it would be highly advisable to flush the system and replace all brake fluid. Indicated what this would cost. It was reasonable. They also installed a new wheel cover I had brought with me and washed my car for free! I was able to pick up my mini-van in the early afternoon. I am very impressed. I am bringing my Altima in for a brake job as well soon. They provided me an estimate way below the Dodge dealer for a internal oil sensor replacement required for the DEQ to get my new registration. Im having that done next week. Ron and his team gave me peace of mind and saved me money. Great mechanics here!

I have had a great experience with Comfort. Always attentive, prompt, and transparent when it comes to whats going on with the car. Not only that, they are always willing to answer questions if I dont have maintenance scheduled.

These guys are great, until there is a problem with their work. When there is a problem with their work, it then becomes its not our fault. Do not trust these guys if you ever want to know that they will stand behind their work.

This is one of the best places I have ever taken a vehicle to. Daniel is honest, true, wants to keep his business thriving and understands the heartache of a one vehicle household. He has promised me good results and I expect him to come through. Daniel isnt your typical owner. He cares and shows integrity with actions. Ill update this when the vehicle is done.The 2006 Kia got done and he did so much more than was required. I will always look to this business when my car needs a fixing. They buffed out my headlight covers so I could see better, they tightened a loose bolt on my axle and did a gorgeous job on my bumper and hammered out the rear quarter panels to match the bumper. I dont know what they make an hour but I have to buy them a lunch or something.

My experience with Comfort Auto & Body Repair was A+. I found them through Google Maps, and noticed that they had some of the highest ratings in the Portland area. I had just scraped up the side of my car in a tight parking garage, and needed someone to make it look good as new - when I checked out the shop in person, everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and understanding. When they told me that they would pay half my deductible, I was sold. Once I dropped off the car, it was ready to go in 4 days or so - they made it look like nothing had ever happened! Very happy with my experience.

Very friendly, professional, and quick. Came in with an old 1988 Nissan Stanza wagon that I had just purchased. Wanted to get a full inspection to see what it needed. They were able to get me in right away and do a full inspection. They called me very quickly to let me know what they found. They didn’t try to up sell me or do anything unnecessary. They were able to get the work done the same day. They were very communicative the whole time. I got a full print out of everything they checked and a detailed description of what they did. After my first encounter at Comfort Auto, I began sharing my positive experience of my consult wtih Steve. I had called because it was an auto shop accessible from my work because over the weekend Id had seen a warning symbol comp up on my Honda dashboard. Steve diagnosed the problem, telling me I needed a catalytic converter but also told me that my battery was very low and he recommended that I needed to replace it sooner than the more expensive job. He told me he could replace the battery but he could recommend another battery place that could replace it for a more reasonable price than he could. this was incredibly honest on his part! His quote for the cost of the catalytic convert was also more reasonable than prices a for of my colleagues had had to pay. A few days later, I schedule dot have the work done and then waited a week to do a review. His shops work was well done. My car with more than 150,000 miles is humming. I highly recommend Comfort Auto & Body Repair!!!!

Great spot, don’t try to up-sell nonessential fixes and are direct about what is necessary repair wise versus recommended but can wait a bit. Everyone I dealt with both in person and on the phone was professional and courteous.

I had some problems with my 2008 Saturn vue first week of February 2020, I took it in and it had the potential to be quite disastrous.This was absolutely the best place to take my vehicle as a woman by myself. No fear mongering, or scary suppositions as I had experienced at brand name garages.This place is clean, friendly, professional, and thorough. They were able in very little time to diagnose and repair my car for $327.Other places wanted $100 just to look at it and I was quoted between $900 and $1500 for what they did under $330If your car is sick, they are the car doctors you need. Only place I will ever go in the future.

A stopped at a different shop to have my car scanned for a check engine light and oil leak. They set me up for an appointment later that week and recommended I get an oil change, which seemed counterintuitive.Later that day I stopped at Comfort Auto, and Ron was immediately able to identify the issue. He ordered a new oil pressure sending unit and had my car running in under two hours. He also was able to clear my check engine light and cleaned the remaining oil out of my engine.Quick and honest repair shop, I would recommend to anyone.

Second time they’ve done the work on my car. Always excellent, always done quickly, always a great attitude. Even during the pandemic they were accommodating.

They were able to get me in quickly, make repairs quickly, and didnt charge what some other places would have.

Comfort was great. They worked with our insurance company to fix our car, and returned it super clean and better than how we left it with them. Daniel was great to work with.

I was treated very well. The repairs went well and with a window issue the mechanic came out and fixed it on the spot and didnt charge me. For my stolen catalytic converter they sent me to a muffler shop instead of keeping my car and subcontracting. I think they run an honest business and I would go there again.

I had a wonderful experience at Comfort Auto & Body Repair! I took my car there or some body work and found the staff was very helpful, warm, and courteous. They worked directly with the insurance company and got the work done really fast.

Update: They are HONEST repair folks! My window repair was not fixed. I went back to the shop a few times and in the end asked for a refund. There was no hassle and they truly went the the extra mile to attempt to fix my window. It has been an on going repair issue so I appreciate the multiple attempts that were made.Original: I originally went in with needing multiple things looked at from my headlights to bodywork repair. They made me feel comfortable by providing honest suggestions and services! I was able to drop off my car and get important repairs done same day. This shop is affordable, trustworthy, and truly seem to enjoy the work they are doing! Amber was a doll and kept me updated on my car repairs. I will be going back there in the near future to finish up my repairs!
