8 people in line 1 cashier who was so nasty I tired 2 use self check but it didnt work I called corporate. I shoo there all the time but this last experience I will never spend my money there. I do not recommend dollar tree at all

The new store manager completely ruined the store. He is always out front smoking. What a disappointment. The last manager Tim was amazing bring him back.

Understaffed as always, the store was in complete disarray. I felt so bad for the solo cashier. I told her she must be the hardest working woman in Port Charlotte. When another employee showed up, she parked herself next to the other cashier and proceeded to clean her phone screen. Very sad and bad experience, unfortunately, not surprising. Boo Dollar General!

I found whatI needed quickly, then stood watching the only person working the registers take 20 minutes with one person while the line backed up. It took over 1/2 an hour to check out.unacceptable.

This store particularly needs a makeover. Other than that the employees are always helpful and if they dont have an answer they will get someone that does. Great staff

The store was being restocked, but the staff was able to help me find what I needed. Most of what I found was also reasonably priced as well. Id definitely be back!

It was the Dollar General down on Tamiami trail. That store is always so Jim pack of items needed to be put out on the shells and I noticed the other day they finally did that and then you look at the floor and that doesnt look like its been mop in years. The only good thing about going in there for a couple things I needed was a gal that was so friendly to everyone would run like a deer from the cash register to wherever the item as youre asking about the she would come back with it immediately and not holding up other customers. However they ask her to step down Because her lazy boss who is never seen and always on theie phone playing games. You just dont feel welcome in the store you feel like theyre interrupting them. I will never go in that store again after I found out what I did today. The best work for in that store and may basically ask her to step down with she refused to do and she just walked out. Congratulations to you Jodi.

Store Manager is very friendly and helpful.(I dont know her name).Some of the store shelves are very disorganized. Messy. The floor is old and tired.Actually, the entire store severely needs a complete remodel or close and relocate to another location.Item prices are decent, there are some great deals with coupons.

Isles are very close together/ crammed. Store seemed disorganized and a little dirty. Staff was awesome though. Super helpful and friendly.

I was pleased to see how organized and srocked . They dedicated an area for the time of the seasons with holidays and have all relateable items together which makes it easier to find. Of course, the prices are petfe4 for the average shopper.

I love shopping at Dollar General. This store on Tamiami Port Charlotte is closest to me. I have to say this store is going down hill fast. The isles are so cluddered you cant get around. The shelves are not organized at all. Some of this cludder needs to be shipped out to another location. Not enough help in the store anytime. You will lose business fast this way. Help save and fix this store.

Love Dollar General. Good assortment of items at prices that beat those in larger department stores that advertise at low, low prices. I especially like the decorative items for the home as well as the linens - cant beat the prices. Also fresh stock comes in frequently so theres usually something that catches my eye everyone I go there!

Was the closest place I could walk to and load cash on to my pay pal card so I didnt really look around or admiring but seemed to be a good dollar general store. Ill check it out more this week maybe.

This location is very small, the aisles are very narrow, and its not very well stocked or merchandised, and the product is not faced and fronted fir easy shopping. Typically 1 person working juggling stocking and cashiering. The store was on the empty side, even for the tine of year. Overall, not a fantastic shopping experience; this is usually my last resort stop not a destination stop.

Corporate should shut the store down. Shelves are always empty, boxes of merchandise blocking the isles when the stuff should be on the shelves.

Ive always liked this store. Mostly the pleasant staff. The parking lot layout is poor. Im surprised there arent any accidents regularly.

Love this store. They have one cashier thats kinda rude. He well throw your change at you instead of having to touch you. They do slack on stocking shelves sometimes they have a bunch of empty shelves. But fair prices good deals.

It was dark and messy and stock to be put away all over the place.

I can get just about anything I need for maintaining and cleaning my house. Everything is priced reasonably. I can also obtain over the counter medicine at a reasonable price.

This was terrible,,,horrible customer service from a angry “manager” was hassled due to not having enough money. On top of that she gave me a hard time for using a visa and took forever just to find out I didn’t even have enough and made me feel bad for that. Also couldn’t it find a single thing the store was trashed I would not come again

One person running the busy store. The man in front of me said this happens all the time. Could have easily walked out without paying. Never stocks what you need, even if they do its way over priced.

It is a Dollar General no different than the others. Well, this one was wrecked and there was product everywhere and entire shelves were empty. I think there was only 1 person working and I felt really bad for her. Maybe I just went at some weird time, or maybe that manager needs a little help managing. Dunno. Saturday night just beforing closing is not the ideal time to go.

I shop here on a regular basis. They had very poor management for a while with the shelves just about bare & new stock on carts blocking isles. Now under new management things seem to be getting much better. Employees are friendly & helpful. I always find what I need & dont spend a ton of money.

Worst ever, they were out of half the stuff I usually get there and then the keypad didnt work while checking out and after 10 minutes had to move to other register to have all items scanned again, this store needs serious help, the woman waiting on me was very sweet and tries her best I wish I had gotten her name

As potential hurricane prep was taking places, they had everything I needed except water. More than worth the trip, everything was stocked on the shelves, in order and easy to find.

Called to see if they were closed because google said they were open until 9pm got hung up on rudely! I’m extremely upset about it because we can’t make it to the store before 8pm. Just wanted some food items, and now I’ll have to starve for tonight.

Our New Dollar Store is a good place to Save money, save Time, and enjoyable place to check out not only when you are bored of staying at home. However, its established that their are items for all ages.

This store is disorganized, hard to locate items here.I could not find any employee to assist with locating an item whatsoever.Silly me went & waited in the long checkout line so that I could ask a simple question and the older male cashier was very rude.. Im truly hoping that he was having a an off day at work.Then again when you work with the public you should always be considerate & attentive to any & all shoppers

The associate was very helpful when I wanted to buy items that required a ladder to access. He also helped me to find all the correct size matching lids. The only disappointment was that I could find no Chanukah-related items (2 days before Chanukah) in a store filled with Christmas items.

Its usually a good quick stop with a lot of variety. However today the line was all the way to the end of the store and there was only one cashier. Seems strange for Saturday.

Disgusting dirty place. I stepped in HUMAN POOP that was on the floor and the staff didnt care at all. Nobody helped me. It got all over my flip flop and part of my foot. Grossed me out big time! Ill never go back! Nasty!

Pretty bad when I would choose Walmart on Murdock Circle compared to this place. I went there to get a mask and all they had were cheesy disposable ones.

This place apparently has a new manager whos poorly-trained doesnt know what shes doing shouted at me across the store when I asked for the corporate number to file a complaint.as a result her staff is poorly trained although they try very hard its hard to do a good job when your manager doesnt know what shes doing.

They still need to get the new merchandise out sooner but got what I needed...

Beware dont go after dark. Homeless people are outside store begging. Not a very clean store.

It was listed in the AARP newsletter that Dollar General was giving an 11% discount for Veterans on Veterans Day. My husband is a Vietnam Vet and was told by the manager he could not get the discount. I don’t know if that’s true of all the Dollar General but shame on this location, we will never shop at that location again and will tell our friends and family the same also.

Usually check out is fast there but lately they havent kept the store as together. Still give it to them as far as their low prices on household necessities like paper towels laundry detergent Etc.
