SUPER GREAT SERVICE. I use this store for all my oil changes and other services they provide. Never a problem. Always fast and good price. The cashier and manager are both females and they really know what a car is all about. Nice to see women in a business once dominated by men. I commend the owner of this store for his progressive thinking and actions. Visit this store and you will not be disappointed in the service.

NO MASK OR GLOVES WHEH THEY GEN INTO VEHICLE NOT HAPPY... They force you to get out of your vehicle and they have their technician get in a vehicle with no mask and no gloves on in the day of Coronavirus. I recommend the other Grease Monkey north of Vetrans they respect your health and vehicle there. But NOT at this location. BE AWARE NO MASK OR GLOVES UPON ENTERING YOUR VEHICLE!!!!!!

This is our first time going there and they took us in right away (no waiting). The man that welcomed me was very calm and warm and respectful. He made me feel right at home. The lobby was immaculate and they offered snacks and drinks. They didn’t try to sell us things we didn’t need and showed us a couple of things that we will need to look out for in the near future (like a filter that didn’t need changed yet) Even though my husband was there with me, he spoke to us both but mainly me being aware that it was car. I thought it was a nice gesture of him being respectful about it being my car. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL VISIT AGAIN! The whole staff was very nice the lady who cashed us out was a sweetheart to us! Very nice folks. Thank you!

Had my wifes car serviced at this location and they didnt reinstall that pan plug correctly, so the next day there was oil in the driveway that was never there before. She had left for a little league tournament out of town had to take it to a Jiffy Lube to have it redone correctly, would never use them again, went back to Gease Money and they wouldnt refund my money!! Horrible experience!

$90 for a synthetic oil change and $26 for a tire rotation for a Honda Civic. My son had these services done before at multiple places, including Walt’s Garage in PG and Tires Plus in PC — neither place more than $80 total. The service provided was fine, but Grease Monkey’s set prices are “not very competitive” (to say it kindly) — but they’re certainly free to charge whatever they like. My son took his car here for convenience, and didn’t know any better. In any event, it’s an important lesson for him as well as for the readers of this review.

EDIT 10/2017: the guys at this place continue to have great customer service. The general manager here, Tommy, is top notch. I never feel pressured into services or feel like Im being lied to. If you spend 5 minutes watching you can see the GM is on top of his guys and is adamant about quality customer service and services.Decided to try this place after moving down here. Been 7 years, they are my go to place for an oil change. They always suggest any thing else I might need but are never pushy about it. They note my paperwork and thats it. If i have any issues between changes I can pull right in and they will check for free. Clean the windows, vacuum out the floor, air my tires, do their job and Im out within 15 minutes. The manager there is knowledgeable and nice. And most likely humming or singing a tune while taking your payment. And their price for an oil change is affordable, especially for someone on a budget.

The new manager is amazing! I quit using this business because the previous manager seemed lazy. He was also creepy. Im so glad that I returned!

I was in and out in about 25 minutes, service was quick and efficient and they did not try an up sell any other service, I only wanted an oil change and that is what I received.

My mom and I went in to get a simple lightbulb changed out . We had a bar light that was out and they informed us they may have to order. We said don’t worry about that light just fix the tail light and we was told 19.95 plus 25. When we went to check out it was 118.00 we was furious. We explained that we was not going to pay the amount because that’s not what we was qouted. In the end she threw us out and said I will pay your bill and get the hell out .we did not mind paying the amount we was told but 118 is insane

Had my fuel filters changed. Grossly over charged me for the service. I am a return customer and felt like I would be not taken advantage of. I was charged over $250 in just labor for less than a half hour of labor. Usually fuel filter replace would be less than $200 including labor. All in was over $350 just for fuel filters. Word to the wise. Don’t trust them. I would have continued to go there as I am a commercial customer but never again.

I always use this place the are honest and dont try to make you get something that you dont need they always tell you what they did and what they recommend. I know what my vehicle needs and dont so I can say when they recommend something it is a fact not trying to take you for granted.

Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Customer service is top notch. I was in and out and the employees are phenomenal. I got the best synthetic they had because I have an older sports car so they may have cheaper options. Cool guys and professional, will be back for sure. They did my oil change in like 15 minutes and I wasnt worried that they were going to forget to put the oil filter on like Walmart has done to people I know. 10 plus service every time you go there for oil change or all the services they provide and how do l know this. Because l have all my vehicles have been serviced there for almost 4 yrs. And they all run like the first day they was started up brand new.on my last service call Tommy and his crewsaved me close to 300 dollars on this service call. Try them and you will never be dissatisfied

Greese Ape Charged me $102.00 for a synthetic oil change for my dodge work van. 1 day later a customer informed me of an oil leak on his driveway. Took the van to tuffy and they discovered the oil cap o ring was not replaced and oil plug not was not tightened. What great service for $102.00. Not the best attitude either when I declined a couple of very over priced filters. I do not enjoy leaving bad reviews but I also feel a duty to warn others. People need to praise Good service, and warn folks when its poor.

Tommy is a miracle worker! Or maybe he is the transmission whisperer! Either way, his expertise in fixing my car saved me from the hassle and huge expense of having to replace my transmission. I have trusted my vehicle to Tommy and his staff at Grease Monkey for years, so he was my first choice for a diagnostic and repair destination when I had to call for a tow truck to move my stuck-in-reverse automatic-transmission car. He got the car running properly at a reasonable price. I am so glad that Grease Monkey has Tommy at the helm in Port Charlotte!

I went to get an oil change and was very disappointed. I was told that I had to to get Synthetic Oil put into my car (Toyota Corolla) in order for it to operate properly. I was told that conventional oil could mess up my engine and my car could stop working. I have owned two cars and have never put synthetic oil in either cars. The cost of Synthetic oil was $89.99. I have never in my life paid $89.99 for an oil change, and I was not about to start today. I called and spoke with the Owner Tony, and he kept repeating to me that he DoNe ThIS fOr ThIrtHy YeArs and that they would NOT put conventional oil in my car, and if someone else is putting that kind of oil in my car they are lying to me and that it must take synthetic oil. I will NEVER go back.

I love this place so down to earth. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I have never been there longer than 15 minutes no matter how busy they are. Awesome crew all the way around. I drive a lot so i have to get my oil changed every couple months. With always being in a rush it is a perfect place to go and get in and out..

Friendly and quick service

I bring all my vehicles to this location for general maintenance for several years. The service is wicked (stop by, youll see why I used wicked) fast. I think the longest I have ever been there is an hour, and that is best I had more than just an oil change needed. The staff is really friendly, likes to talk sports, and treats you right. They have some of the best customer service in town. As long as I live in this area, I will always bring my vehicles here.

Waited two hours to find they didnt even service my vehicle. Manager said that they quoted me the wrong price but never bothered to locate me. When I entered my vehicle, there was grease all over the seat and inside door panel.To make the point more clear, I was quoted a price I thought to be true, its not my job to leave my phone number in case this business quotes me the wrong price. The manager also referred to his employees as a**holes when I pointed out the grease to him. I was not looking for an apology, just making the public aware in the event they choose to not use Grease Monkey for their vehicle services as I will not do again.

Didn’t put correct amount of oil in car, short by one quart. When the check light came on 10 minutes after I departed I took it back. They tried to act like they could do no harm and it must be my car’s computer system. Will never go back.

I have been going here for years and have always had a great experience. Except for the last time when they accidentally put synthetic oil in my car instead of regular. Which they did change the price to make it right but unfortunately now I have to put synthetic oil in every time. The manager is always very pleasant and very sweet and informative every time I go in. They have been taking awesome care of my car for years.

Ive been here a couple times for an oil change and theyve always done pretty good. Today was the last time Ill be going there. They always vacuum the floors in the front, this time they didnt, and the guy that was in my car had oil all over his hands and touched everything. For $50 I expect to get everything done that Im supposed to. Nice. Thanks. Wont be back.

It started pouring down rain so I had called while I was sitting outside. It was later in the afternoon so I wanted to make sure they had time to do it. I also didnt want to get my child or myself soaking wet just to ask. They let me pull up to the back of the garage so we could get out without getting soaking wet. The guys were super fast and were reasonably priced. They did a quick glance over the car to reccomend any other little maintenance items I needed.

This place is terrible so we had fluids changed Nd checked and my grandfather and I were almost in a severe accident because the brake fluid was bone dry with nothing said to us. Then the lady on the phone was absolutely nasty and does not belong working with people. No customer service skills and not nice. Never would I go there again NEVER!

I had my first oil change since moving to FL and was nervous about finding the right place to take care of my car. The employees here are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and explain things in a way everyone can understand. They also answered all the questions I had about my car. They made sure to recommend a service I would need soon but didnt push or pressure me into getting it done that day. Im extremely happy with my experience here!

First let me preface by saying I have gone here for more than 10 years and never had a complaint: before today. I went in for routine oil change and tire rotation. The tech brought my tire in and said “I can’t rotate your tires you have a nail.” And shows me the nail. I said okay.I go to check out and my bill is 74.95 with a 5.00 VIP discount. I ask why the bill is so much and the lady says/ “oil change, air filter and tire rotation.” I question why I’m being charged for a rotation that wasn’t done. Lady goes to get the manager. He and the tech begin raising their voices, belittling, and using obscenities at me saying the definition of rotation is to move a tire to another place. I nicely pointed out that he was the one who said he couldn’t rotate because of a nail. The tech and the manager continue to tell me I had to pay for a rotation that wasn’t done by cussing at me and treating me like an idiot.I ended by saying I was done arguing about it. And telling the manager that I was shocked that he would do this being that I have been a customer for more than 10 years and come to his location frequently. He proceeded to say “that’ll be 74.95” and I stated if you’re willing to lose a long standing customer over 19.99 that’s pretty sad.I will tell everyone I know not to use this Grease Monkey. Absolutely unbelievable

Ive been going here for years. Although it may be a little more expensive then some other places, I feel as though the service you get there is well worth it. If theres something wrong with your vehicle, theyll let you know. And theyve never put any pressure to have you get anything done. Theyre honest and hard working. Ill keep my business here for a long time to come.

Went here for a.c. vac and charge...was told 200-250 for vac and charge only.... Thought that was a little high and odd it wasnt a set price. So I called around and the first 3 mechanics I called all said 99 or 100 dollars.....I would steer clear!
