Great experience. Went in for an undercoating. Dropped the truck off the night before. They called the next morning. Completed on time as expected. No surprises. Went in to pay and discuss any findings and the staff was very nice. Discussed possible exhaust upgrades for my re-apply visit.Now the undercoating. It is an oil based application. Keep this in mind when buying. Any over spray on exhaust will burn off and smell like oil burning. Some black smoke was expected and happened on the way home. Pleasantly surprised. They went in and got what seems to be every inch under the truck. Only spot I would like to see some would be the upper wheel wells. I will get them myself.Overall very happy and will return.

Lou’s in Plymouth is an amazing place. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. They never try to sell you something you don’t need. I have used them on several different occasions, and always get a good deal. I highly recommend this shop.

Muffler fell off. Called three shops and they mumbled the same bad customer service mumbo jumbo. Found Lous, called and said they could take me right in. Within 10 minutes they diagnosed what my car needed and gave me a great quote on the spot! They did the work in 15 minutes. They didnt try to pad work or sell me anything I needed. This is literally the best automotive experience Ive had in my entire life. If you need exhaust, brakes, tune up, or any other work, give them a call. Highly recommended. 5 stars!!!!

Had my rear hub bearings, rotors and brakes replaced by lous, dropped it off at 10 am and it was done by 3. i was thrilled they let me use the parts i had purchased my own. good pricing as well! would have cost me much more at any other place and other shops wouldn’t have let me use my own parts. very happy

Great service at a fair price.

The Plymouth location is the only one I have used, but they are always nice guys, well informed, prompt, and priced reasonably. They get you in and out quickly and dont keep you wondering when or how much. Thats all you can ask for in a repair and custom shop, and they do it well consistently.

Called upon opening, was told I could drop my old RAV4 off right away. I was expecting to leave it, so I scheduled an Uber. Before the Uber could even respond, I got a call from Lou’s saying my vehicle would be ready in 1/2 hour, it only needed a patch. Cancelled my Uber, took a 15 minute walk, and my car was done! Less than $120, so easy to pay invoice on my phone, felt completely safe during this COVID crisis doing business with them.I have dealt with Lou’s before this, with an old Mazda that needed a muffler and exhaust. Had been quoted a ridiculous amount by another company who refused to guarantee their work, because I wanted cheaper parts. So I took it to Lou’s, who charged 1/2 the amount AND guaranteed it!I will never take exhaust or muffler work anywhere else ever again. Lou’s has my loyalty.

Wow is the only word to describe Lous Custom Exhaust! I brought my car to a local gas station to have a small exhaust leak fixed. They had it 3 days and charged me $395 and it was clear on my way home that it wasnt right. I brought it to Lous who was able to fix it in under an hour. The guys that worked there were so knowledgeable that I left with piece of mind that my car was perfect. I highly recommend this shop!!

I highly recommend this place. Everyone was friendly and very helpful, they had an appointment same day. They saved me $500 by giving an option to buy my own part from an automotive supply store and bring it in to install for a fraction of the price I would have payed elsewhere.

I made an appointment for a Saturday morning at 10 AM for an oil undercoating of my truck. I got up early, drove 54 miles from RI to be there for 10 am, because of a few rain sprinkles in the area he tells me he can’t do it for three hours at least. I tell him boy a simple courtesy call would have been great to let me know. One thing I can’t stand is inconsiderate people who don’t care about your time. Will Never do any business with these inconsiderate people ever!

I have had my Crown Victoria in there twice over the last 4 years and the work they do is very professional and reasonably priced. They were referred to me by Colonial Ford of Plymouths service Department. They send all of their custom exhaust work to Lous and that says a lot.Two comments.1. If the incredibly rare and expensive parts arent made anymore, dont tell them to add a flange and then get pissed by the method they used. Next time ask them the plan and if unreasonable, veto it before you let them work.2. A part can take several hours to put in. The shop rate and time hours required to install can exceed the cost of the part.I do not work for Lous and have no other association with them other than being a customer on two occasions.6/01/2018 - So here we are two years later... Had some exhaust noise and took it into Lous. They diagnosed it right away and discussed options for repair. The decision was made to weld a on a new section of Stainless steel pipe to replace the worn flanges after the Cats. Job was done in record time and the welds were amazingly clean and smooth. They even painted the welds with high temp paint.Cost? $150Time in and out ? 45min.Very happy with the results.

Within two minutes they already had my car on the lift and have given me an estimate, which was almost four hundred less than expected, Im sitting in the parking lot after the job writing this just to give you an idea of how pleased I am.

Weve been there a few times with 2 different cars. The guys are good at customer service making you feel welcome and comfortable. The repairs were quoted first with no extra add-ons. Each repair was done well, reasonably priced, and lasted a long time.I tell local people about my positive visits here and encourage them to try Lous if they need any type of exhaust work.

I went here twice in two weeks. First visit was to fix my exhaust, I walked in without an appointment they gave me a quote (which i honesty thought would be alot more) they fixed it right then and there. Due to their professionalism, honesty and great prices I came back the following week to get my brakes done. Again I was treated the same way and it was a different crew, kudos to Lous Custom Exhaust.

They welded in a piece of exhaust pipe for me very inexpensively. Took a total of 15mins. Employee showed me the damage, then showed me the repair when completed. At no time did I feel as if I was being up sold. Very quick, inexpensive, and professional.

The final cost of muffler replacement ended up less than quote. They replaced a national chain brad muffler that kept going bad. Never again with the chain stores - Lous is number 1 for muffler work. Way better quality, fast service and great, friendly crew.

Chris helped me pick which mufflers were best for my car and made me feel apart of what was going on. My experience at Lous today was by far better than anywhere else I have ever been for car repairs. It all started when I was quoted by another shop in town $1,500 to replace the catalytic converter on my jetta, (which NO WAY did I want to pay that much). I did an online quote with Lous and got a phone call the next day allowing me to make an appointment quickly and efficiently. They could have gotten me in that day if I wasnt working. And not only that, but they only quoted me $300-400 due to them being able to weld it in. My experience only got better when I arrived. The guys there were extremely professional the entire time, and even gave me a curtesy call after looking at the car, just to confirm that it was in fact going to be the agreed upon price. They had the whole thing repaired in less than two hours. Normally Im not one to write reviews of a place, but their professionalism, cost, and timeliness really impressed me. Im so glad they were recommended to me!

I asked them to replace just a flange on my incredibly rare and expensive exhaust. Instead they went ahead and made the decision to hack off 4 inches of pipe on either side of the flange, weld in new pipes and new flanges. Now my rare and expensive exhaust is utterly worthless. Id make them buy me a new one except for the fact that they wont be able to find it anywhere and I doubt theyd spend the $1500 to make one customer happy. Yes, you guys ruined a $1500 exhaust. I dont ever recommend going to this place. Not only did they ruin my exhaust, but Ive seen multiple other things theyve ruined that have been sent over from my work. This place is just a bunch of hacks.

What a hack job. Ask them to replace flanges and they just hack them out and weld in pipe so you can never repair it again. If you want to pay out lots of cash just to have your vehicle damaged beyond repair, go to Lous in Plymouth.
