Hired this company to manage our 14 unit property portfolio and wanted to share our experiences:- Collected management fees on one of our units even though the checks were still coming to me- Insisted on marketing our properties AFTER they were vacant even though they agreed to do it no later than 90 days before leases were renewed- Would not incorporate my lease addendum that details renewals and right to show despite agreeing to it- Said they would create virtual tours of our units and never did- When COVID restrictions were up they did not show the units and insisted on waiting until they were vacant to show- When vacancies did exist their first move was to ask the landlord to pay the fees and accept lower than market rates- After agreeing to terminate our property management agreement and taking the last 30 day fee also collected the remainder of the fees for the rest of the term 3 months- Is now NOT cooperating with the new property management company in the transition and is playing games about their legal rights to any new leasesGlad I have our lawyers involved. Want to steer clear of these guys. They are a franchise and I know more about the Boston markets than they do... they just want to collect fees and have you lower your rents and pay for the rental fees.

PROSPECTIVE TENANTS: Confirm whether your appointment is an in-person showing or virtual BEFORE you get in the car. PMI used Tenant Turner, a software for scheduling unit tours, and apparently, Tenant Turner isn’t equipped to handle the curveballs COVID throws at it. We were 45-minutes into a drive to a unit when PMI reaches out to “remind” me that the tour was virtual, not in-person. Needless to say, I was furious. Called PMI in a moment of that anger, and the individual I spoke with was very apologetic, took ownership of the error, and offered to make things right how ever he could, which was appreciated.
The owner personally reached out to me to discuss/review the process for property availability. He even listened to a suggestion that I had.Finally a company that listens and clearly cares about the human experience! Thanks again!

I made an appointment to see an apartment and they rented it out the day of my appointment. (fair enough) However, they failed to let me know to cancel the appointment and I drove an hour and spent money on gas I couldnt afford to spend for no reason. I had to put off other things to make the appointment.Edit: They contacted me personally and have offered a small amount of compensation. They didnt have to reach out at all. Its very appreciated and shows they do care about people.Thank you
PMI Plymouth turned a stressful situation into a stress less situation. My significant other and I had been looking for an apartment to rent for almost 3 months. Our current lease was due to end in just a few weeks, and we could not retain as the owner rented the house week-by-week during the summer. We had sent out over maybe 30 separate emails and had about 15 different phone conversations. So, finding housing was a top priority and a stressful situation.In the mix of all the touring and emailing we came across PMI Plymouth though a listing in Trulia. The price was in our range, so we visited their website to set up a tour, and immediately we were impressed with the organization of the site. That impression continued during the tour, as we met with Casey at the property. He was very professional, and easy to talk to during the tour. He even informed us about some key renter’s laws, like in the state of MA one cannot charge an application fee (background checks are different and do cost money).After the tour my significant other and I talked it over and since the place was in our price range, a good location, and recently renovated we decided to put in an application that same day. Two days later we were approved! We received a personal call from Casey who informed us about the approval, and later an email confirmation along with the lease and documents to sign. The lease that PMI Plymouth had created has to be one of the best leases I’ve ever seen. It covered everything legally from both the tenants and landlord standpoints. Granted it was a long document, but there was no hidden information that would badly affect tenants. In fact, it seemed to have been written in the sense to protect the tenants, as well as ensure the property would treated well for the landlord. So, from a renter’s standpoint we were extremely impressed. After a few questions about the lease, which were answered over emails and calls, we had no problem signing.After that came the inspection process at the apartment. We meet up with Casey at the apartment to take pictures and note any damages, and just when we thought we couldn’t be more impressed, Casey explains the whole process is a digital checklist on a professional app. This checklist covered everything that could be in an apartment, trimming, outlets, door locks, floors, switches, everything. The coolest part was that if something was missed in the notes section of the inspection, it was sure to be seen on the 360 digital camera PMI Plymouth uses to document the condition of all the spaces in the apartment. Later which we can see and add any additional pictures during our own separate inspection of the space.Fast forward to the present and we are almost 3 months into our year lease, and still very happy. PMI Plymouth has a convenient online payment system that is very easy to set up and has multiple payment options for various scenarios. The site they use is from a professional 3rd-party company that is tailored to PMI Plymouth and is very secure to send payments through.Looking back, it seems like we were very lucky to find PMI Plymouth to rent from. Everything with them has been a professional pleasant experience, and if we could rate them higher then 5 stars we would without hesitation. If you get the opportunity to rent from them or have them manage your property you won’t be disappointed! To share my experience the best I could, I posted this both on PMI Plymouths Google and Yelp pages.The TL;DR version:PMI Plymouth have very personable, yet professional, staff members, whose goal is to make renting easy. They have very thorough documentation processes for leases, inspections, and payments. All of which take advantage of current up to date technologies. They are easy to get in touch with and solve problems in a timely manner. I would absolutely recommend them for renters and landlords who want a property manager!

Casey lied to my fiancé and I regarding a home we were looking to rent for a relocation. Since we could not see the home in person we did a virtual walk through via FaceTime. We specifically asked about the condition of the home because I was 8 months pregnant at the time we’d be moving in and we planned to have a home birth.Upon our arrival they had turned the heat completely off (in the middle of winter!), covered up a severe mold problem with sloppy caulking in the shower, almost none of the windows had screens, one of the windows didn’t close causing us to incur over $1,000 heating bill for 30 days of use before we were forced to move due to dangerous mold spores, there were several entrances with either no handle - therefore no lock, and one entrance from the exterior which was “sealed” with a piece of plywood where anyone could enter through the basement and get into the home.After a long back and forth with Casey and the owner they decided they would not only not return our the money we paid in good faith, but they would void our lease instead of paying for us to move into a safe place while they fixed the nightmare of a home they rented. The owner basically said sue me.We had several licensed professionals through the home and they all said this is a huge prexisting problem and should never have been rented in this condition. The owner and Casey lied via email stating there had been a home inspection in December 2018. Every single remediation contractor said there’s no way this problem grew to be so severe in less than 30 days.I have photos to prove the condition of the home.The property is address is 34 Elm Street in East Bridgewater. Tenant beware. They took over $5,000 from us under false pretenses - forcing us to go into severe debt to get somewhere safe for the arrival of our baby and forcing a combat veteran and his pregnant fiancé to lift heavy objects to move for a second time in 30 days after a brutal winter drive across the country.Casey was not helpful. He put my family in jeopardy. Then as we were providing him the health departments information instead of keys to the home we still rightfully occupied, he became aggressive and menaced my fiancé using his car. He actually had to quickly jump out of the way. Police were called to have it on record.He claims to be a licensed professional but we discovered he only started this business according to the states database in November 2018... please share your license number Casey. As it’s listed no where. Including the Massachusetts department of public licensure database.As a former real estate professional myself I never would have taken this listing unless I was selling the lot to a developer to be scraped for a new build.Did your team apply the caulking to the moldy shower or was that the owner?Either way. It was your job to call it out and get it fixed before you rented it to a young family.You should be ashamed of yourself.
