With every summer in the Dallas area comes a slew of door to door salesman. In my 15 years of inhabiting this area I have had many pleasant encounters with door to door salesman; however, rarely do I ever buy what they are selling. I contemplated on multiple account whether it was worth it or not to actually conduct this negative review, but I finally decided it was necessary.A few weeks back, a salesman for Edge Pest Control knocked on my door. The man introduced himself (James), and mentioned how he is the owner of this company. If that is the case, I would be utterly shocked that such a man found his way into such a reputable, prestigious position. At first he went through his normal pitch and I kindly declined, informing him of my current company and how pleasant I was with them and their service. This did not stop him from continuously pushing me about using his company. The manner in which he did so was quite aggressive and inconsiderate to my time, considering I informed him that I was content with my current service. I must have said no very bluntly at least four or five times; or at the very least, implied it.I usually have no issues with these people and I totally understand that they are making their honest livings. These actions were, however, extremely hostile and annoying. I hope to never see him or any of their employees on my doorstep ever again.
When we were sold this service we were told we could leave at any time. I was then told of a service to clear the mosquitoes. I thought it was a one time service for the summer. I was not told it was a contract for 12 more services. When I called to cancel they said I had to pay half the services to get out. They were dishonest when selling this service. Also, we still have mosquitoes so I dont know what I am paying for.
Edge Pest Control has done a phenomenal job! Tyler came by for the initial evaluation and inspection. He thoroughly explained the process to me and then scheduled my initial service. Jax, the technician who performed my initial service, was very good at educating me on the exact process and reasoning for the services he was providing. All of my interactions with Edge have been top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality pest control company in North Texas. 5 Star service for sure!
I have been using service for last six months, so far I found service is ok and they devote time. They give heads up and explain the process. But I am still need to evaluate the difference in result as I am paying more than last pest company.I am not happy with sales as they did not explain the contract before signing as I need to pay for one more service in order to switch. Why should I switch to new company and signing the contract and paying more without assessments of the quality. When I called the management then he bluntly told me that it is as per contract and if you do not want extra service then you need to still pay without the service. When I asked to route to supervisor then he told that I am also supervisor.You can understand the critical review when you get into the issue. I have no issue with service professional, they are all good and also I do not understand the difference.
James did a fantastic job of educating me about the insect/rodent situation at my new house. He clearly explained my options for pest control and the benefits of implementing a whole-house ongoing treatment plan, all while not being pushy or trying to hard sell me on anything at all. He was very pleasant to work with.Additionally, Aubrey then followed up and delivered on all the promises that James made by treating our house on the same day that I signed up for the service. She was also very pleasant, informative, respectful of our property, and incredibly thorough with her work.In summary, I would highly recommend EDGE to anyone looking for a complete and worry-free pest control solution for their home. Worth every penny and then some! Thank you!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My signature was forged on a contract for mesquite treatment!!! I agreed to 2 treatments and was never sent a contract to sign but when I tried to cancel the service my card was charged over $400 fraudulently and the rep produced a contract that was signed by someone from Edge, not me. I was loyal to this company for almost 2 years and this is how they go about treating a loyal customer. sad but true. I do not recommend!!
I signed up with Edge because i liked the sales guys hustle, we already had pest services. were they good, no, would i recommend them, no... but it went south quickly. about 45 days after we signed up the guy was back in our community going door to door. when one of my neighbors asked him to see his solicitation permit he said he didnt need it because i asked him to go to their house... What!? I then started getting emails and texts as well as being tagged on FB by my neighbors about this guy and them asking me why i would send him to their house... evidently he told all of my neighbors i sent him... I drove around, found him and asked him to leave end never come back. i called to cancel, was told we would never hear from them again then started getting invoices for early termination... the guy used my name without my permission as an endorsement to further his sales and they want me to pay 420.00 because i cancelled the service... no way.
Edge has the best service we have had them for years in the Pacific North west and were able to transfer our service to North Texas. Always there to help.
Jerry helped me when we moved into our new home. He also came back out a month later when we had a big problem inside due to our house backing up to a wheat field. He was so helpful and answered every one of my questions! He had the best advice on everything which was great because we are first time home owners and want to keep everything perfect. Jerry thank you so much for your help!!

We were promised great things by a talented Edge salesman in our neighborhood, and the first visit was great. After that, things quickly changed. Pest build up happened in a few areas due to lack of quality visits and attention to detail by techs. During our last scheduled visit which was scheduled during a window I could be home to oversee and discuss problem areas, no one showed up at all. When I called to cancel, I was met with a cancelation fee of 50% of all unperformed services, *including* the visit they didnt come for! I submitted photographic evidence of the build up and lack of service, and no ownership has been taken for this. We are very disappointed.
Had an issue with wasps that got out of control. Edge came out and completed a service within 24 hours of calling them.
The Edge Pest Control service Techs are always on time,polite and proffesional and after a short chat they always get right to what they came to do wasting no time! The guy that came today was alli mention above! Thanks Edge your the best!
Just got off the phone with a very polite salesman, but way too high pressure! I just wanted prices and they wanted someone to come out tomorrow! They sent an email agreement but Im not signing and no way to respond with no thank you. Interesting that the initial price was $149 but could magically be dropped to $99 a visit. Ridiculous when they play with pricing like that. In one sentence its pay as you go no contract, but the next sentence is signing you up for 6 treatments with 4 months left in the season - that, my friends is equivalent to a contract when you have my credit card number!

Hands down, the worst pest control company i have ever dealt with. Typical door to door sales, supposed to treat yard and house. Turns out they only do 4ft off house even though i asked and they confirmed 4x they would do the entire yard. Next service was Rodent, paid 300 for service, supposed to include baiting traps, plus 3 follow on visits. The first person set traps, 2nd person was too large to go into attic space and spent less than 2.5 minutes checking traps outside, infact he walked by them from a distance and just glanced, i know because my property has cameras all over. Next contact was to their supervisor, who claims they answer directly to the board. Informed them, i would like the gentleman that placed the traps to service them, weve been about 3 weeks now and still they cant figure it out. The gentleman that placed them messaged and apologized saying they were going to make it right and start the service over. Today another person calls and says they are coming to pick them up. Buyer beware!!
I’ve used another company before in the past due to the fact Not many companies come to rural utah to do services such as this. Wasnt to happy with their attitude or services. Found out Edge was coming to my area and got them to come spray. Not only did they spray, they cleaned cobwebs around the entire house, let me know everything that he was doing and going to do to help me out, spent time assessing the situation to see what was the best route to go to FIX the issue. Did the house inside/outside, surrounding sheds and man cave. I’m a life long supporter of this company and cannot thank them enough!!!
Weve been with Edge for nearly a year now and previously did not run into any issues. While it is on the pricier side for pest control, we were promised excellent results and service.Unfortunately, my experience most recently has made our family sincerely regret selecting Edge for our pest control services. Heres a brief rundown of the horrible service weve received:I was booked for a service on 7/23 but received a text that the service would need to be rescheduled. I was very understanding and flexible and let the service technician (Michael) know we were free the next 2 weeks. He texted asking if he could come the next day (Saturday, 7.24). I let him know via text that would not work as wed be out of the house most of the day and needed service inside and outside as wed noticed quite a few bugs and scorpions inside. I asked if we could schedule any upcoming weekday instead. I never heard back but assumed, as it was later on Friday, Id hear regarding booking on Monday.On Saturday, 7/24, our Ring Doorbell notified us of motion at the house. It was Michael there to do the service that I did not agree to on that day. Of course, as we had mentioned, we were not home. I immediately texted Michael letting him know to please leave and to reschedule inside and outside service for a weekday per my text on Friday. He left (so our home was not fully serviced outside) and I didnt hear back. About an hour later, I texted him again asking him to just confirm a weekday we could make up for the visit. As a note, all my texts were calm, composed, and kind even thanking him for his time. Michael then texted Hehe in response and then nothing else.On Sunday, I texted Edge Manager Chris to escalate the issue. Chris promised a call on Monday which never happened. I then tried to call him on Tuesday, 7/27. He never answered and his voicemail was not set up (not terribly professional). I then texted him that Im trying to reach out and he just apologized that he was in a meeting. That was before 10am on 7/27 and Ive still received no contact.I have also tried to call Edge several times to discuss this before writing this review. Every call is met with an automated message saying they are busy and the most expedient way to reach them is via voicemail. Once I press the number to leave a voicemail box, an automated message indicates their mailbox as full.Ultimately, after facing all the issues above, Ive resorted to leaving this detailed review in the hopes it encourages others to do further research into other pest control options and, possibly, spurs someone from Edge to finally reach out to me to discuss.
Parker from Customer Service called swiftly and inquired how he could help make their service work. I did change my 1 star to 4 star. We did not continue service, but feel they did do everything in their power to try to turn the situation right. I always say a good company shows up when a problem occurs and they seemed to do that.We did construction in our yard last fall. This forced mice to come into house. We hired Edge to get rid of them, but their traps did nothing. We put out the old school snap traps ourselves and those traps did the trick. I tried multiple times to call and cancel service. Waited on line for 10 minutes and had to hang up. Finally got through today, and told I am in handcuffed in a contract or early termination fees. Still had one more service, said pleas cancel me after that. They said they cant now or the last service will be cancelled as well. I said well cancel it after that; they said I must call in again (And wait endlessly on the phone to get through). Very disappointed)
The service does not work in my back yard at all. I have to pay another 400 dollars to cancel my next year’s service which is ridiculous. Now I am stuck with this service and have to pay for their useless treatments for nine months. Save your money and stay away from this company
They locked me into a contract and wont return calls or emails. I just wanted them to respray for spiders but now I want them to cancel.- Still trying to get a call back weeks later, the online chat feature doesnt let you cancel, the call in number just keeps you on hold forever, this place has zero customer service help.- Finally got a call back from a Supervisor and it was just a salesperson trying to scare me via contract, cancel fees, they couldnt change the contract but at the very end he offered a $10 per service discount.GTFO, what a scam.
They came by and did the standard entry point spraying and checked for rodents. Very professional, friendly, and quick. They always ask if there is anything Ive noticed in between treatments that they should look for and are very happy to check and treat if necessary. Very happy with the service!

Nathan is always super nice & does a great job. He is thorough, and respectful of our dog making sure she doesnt get into the treatments. He answers all of our questions and handles any requests we have like a pro.

Their product is one of a kind however, the technicians are what really make this company stand out to me. Each technician I’ve encountered always has a vast knowledge about Edge’s products, they do a great job explaining them to you, and are happy to share their firsthand experiences in dealing with these pests directly. Graham is my regular technician and he is awesome! Not only do I trust him but I can also depend on him to answer my questions and make recommendations. If I ever have a problem or need additional services he is only a text away and is always professional and timely with his responses. He is also very courteous and not pushy when he informs me about new products and services offered by Edge. I am a local realtor and needed a very quick turn around on a pest inspection for a client. Ryan came out next day and my clients raved about how nice and punctual he was. Definitely reliable! I will be using them again.
I was very pleased with my initial service. I prepaid for two services and they told me that they would call me to schedule the second one. Since they already had their money, they didn’t call. I called them and scheduled. They decided I needed a 3rd treatment and wanted me to pay so they called me everyday to tell me they were on their way. I told them no. The guy came to my house when I wasn’t home without my permission, sprayed the outside of my house and then charged me $150! I called to demand a refund and they said they couldn’t because they sprayed the outside of my house so the best they could do is to schedule and interior treatment. When I told her I didn’t want that, she kept asking me “why” and trying to convince me. Finally, I hung up and just called the bank to dispute them. DON’T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!
The staff has always been prompt and friendly. The last service guy even text me a picture of a large opening that needed to be resealed and offered to fix it that day. It was an area that I normally wouldn’t even looked at and appreciate the extra effort to notify me of a potential problem. I’ve been impressed from the beginning with Edge. In fact, we never buy anything from door to door sales but the sales guy was so knowledgeable & friendly that my husband happily signed up.
Edge was one of the providers suggested to me through Home Advisor. I received quotes from three companies through them, and acquired two others on my own. Edge had the best deal (current promotion, summer 2020), and could schedule me much sooner than anyone else.I spoke with a rep named Jenny, who very patiently and thoroughly answered all of my questions, and seemed to genuinely empathize with concerns. She was a pleasure to talk to, and didnt make me feel pressured into committing to her sale, or really, like it was even a sales call at all. Granted, it was a warm call, but I didnt get the impression she was more concerned for her check than my bug-free sanity. I knew before she even outline the pricing schedule but this was probably the company I was going to go with. Ultimately, she was able to set me up with service the very next day.Fast forward 24 hours, and here comes my new bug- repelling bestie, Tyler. He called ahead of time as promised, was on time as promised, friendly courteous, and non-intrusive. Honestly, half the time, I didnt even remember he was here. He was efficient without going so quickly as to concern me that he didnt complete his tasks. He explained to me everything that he did while here, answered any other questions that I did have, and was cool, relaxed, and professional all at the same time. No pushy add on sales either.So now all that remains to be seen, is if the treatment actually works. This was all just yesterday, so weve got a little ways to go before I can answer that question, but believe me, theres no doubt in my mind that I wont be coming back here and adjust this review.
Where do I even begin!!!! I started service with a different pest company today and while they were here spraying Jay Sanchez over at Edge knocked on our door. He was pointing out things that the current company was missing or just didnt feel the need to take care of. After the other pest company left we invited Jay in and he gave us the break down of what they do. I immediately terminated service with the other company and joined with Edge. Jay is freaking god sent! He took a spider web out of my window because I am deathly afraid of any and all bugs. He said that he could get one of his guys out today as well and in less then 10 minutes here comes Justin, who is ALSO god sent. These guys are freaking amazing and seriously take care of every square inch of your home, inside and out. They made me feel at ease and told me I can call whenever I see bugs and they will come out same day. I seriously 100/100 recommend this company and also recommend these two guys. EDGE you have got to give these men a raise. Freaking incredible. :)

So glade Tyler introduced their services to us. We have been used other pest control for while, but pest still sharing house with us. Nice his team kills Mosquitoes. It saves my family from virus season. Tyler’s team work supper hard in the heat and they are very flexible to meet our schedule. Have my 1st service done. Satisfied! My husband and I had just moved into our house when I got a visit from one of their reps by the name of James. He was very friendly, clean-cut, and super professional. Superb customer service. He made me aware of the wasp and fire ant problem we had and pointed out how they would take care of it. He was very thorough as he did a complete walk-around in inspecting our home. They were offering discounts in our areas, so I couldnt believe the price he told me. Since they were offering quarterly services, I signed up for two years. Another guy came by later that night and did a very thorough job inside and out. Anyone with pest problems such as wasps and mosquitoes, fire ants, spiders, rodents, etc., I highly recommend Edge Pest Control. With what they offer and the price, you cant beat it.

What turned out to be the owner rang the bell and showed me the presentation. He was knowledgeable well dressed and did not put the hard sell on me. To have a company have great prices and show they will come out and you spit have to hound them down is exactly what i was looking for. Within two hours an employee showed up sprayed inside and out for I can’t recall I’m how many bugs and was super conscientious about what he used around the pool. Everything is pet friendly and I have already noticed a difference .I would give them a 10 if offered
Being as the customer representatives do not want to do their job properly Im going to make sure that any and all prospective customers are aware of how unprofessional and shady they are.I am extremely disappointed in Edge and how they do business. I canceled my service back in August and received an email on Monday, 11/3 stating they were performing service at my house. I called and spoke to someone and she saw that I canceled it, as well I told her no money should be taken out of my account and she confirmed that it wouldnt be. However, on Tuesday the charge hit my bank. Then, I spoke to someone yesterday 11/5, and he told me he would refund me the $124.81, and instead, he put through another charge of $124.81. When I spoke to someone this morning he said that it was voided out of the system. I let him know that I needed the monies refunded to me and he said I needed to prove that the monies were taken out of my account. Youre telling me that their accounting is crewed up that they cannot see that they charged me, not once BUT TWICE??!! The email address I was given for billing was not correct and couldnt be delivered. Are you freakin kidding me??? Not only did they steal money from me but the email address is fake. I will definitely be reporting them as well as getting my family attorney involved.I would definitely take your business elsewhere. Not only does the service SUCK, but their accounting skills and practices are lacking in a HUGE way!!!!!
Great service. I had a fly infestation thats the main reason I I contact them. They explain me the services, treatments, etc. So I decided to give them a try, which I wasnt sure that my problem was gonna be resolved. But what I miracle they did flys are gone almost 90%. Im so happy we go to our backyard without been attack per insect. Really recommend them and prices are affordable
The young man who services my home is very conscientious, meticulous and trustworthy. The chemicals used by this company are safe but effective. Im very pleased that I went with them.

Nathan is my Edge representative and I couldn’t be happier with his level of professionalism and attention to detail. From point of sale to same day service, Edge was on time, professional, and easy to work with. They didn’t rush through any of the process and answers all of my questions. I am so happy I answered the door the day they came to offer services. I had been with my previous company for 3 years and very happy I switched to Edge. The service just doesn’t compare. It goes without saying that it has been a great experience and I highly recommende Edge.
Got home from work. Eaten alive by mosquitoes in back yard. They did no spray back yard. Only front yard. Left padlock off back yard gate. They did not take time to check padlock on gate. Some people have to work, and cant be home every time they come out. I will not renew contract. Now, I got to put some medicine on these mosquito bites!!

Had a bad experience Edge Pest control but the customer care manager called and resolved my issue. He explained that he would communicate with the employees so that in the future there would be less miscommunication and better service.
BEWARE...I had a Sales Rep come knock on my door. He said he was the owner and was very professional. I had no issues with James except for the fact he sold me on a service THAT should last for the stated period not just killing the insects ON site and then a week later the siders are back. Before I figured this out I also signed up for the Mosquito service. The technician that came never called before he got here and I didnt even know he was on my property until I heard my back gate open. I watched through the window a service that I can only call shotty being applied to my yard. My four old loves to play outside and is also bit numerous times by the Mosquitos. I waited a few hours before I let her go outside. All was good for about a week. (Which seems to be about how long their products work) my daughter was being bit again. I was bit again. Fast forward 2 weeks the technician comes to spray for the spiders and trys to sell me on their Mosquito services telling me I had a infestation of them. I laughed seriously! I told well thats funny because I already am on a contract for that service. Oh, he said looked me up in their system and told me the will be out again in 9 days for reapplication. I have called to ask for someone to come out and reapply but the call rep I spoke to told me that it couldnt be possible and that this product takes time to kill all the insects ect. 2 /12 months later I still have Mosquitos,spiders AND ants crawling out of tiny specs in my walls. (I HAVE VIDEO) The rep tried to make me feel like I was crazy. Last but not least when I commented on this companies Facebook page. They removed my comment.Do yourself a favor and just buy the spray yourself from Lowes or Home depot and do it yourself. It will probably last longer then this companies product.
I am not happy with your service. I am sick and tired of red ants everywhere, I have been bit right right outside my garage door, my kids have been bit out in my backyard, my grandkids have been bit out in the backyard and were just really tired of the ants that I paid extra money for to take care of that problem also we have bugs everywhere outside around my house so, so far money that I am paying you is definitely not worth yalls Yard.Customer has always been pleasant but I paid for the service to get rid of bugs and extra for red ants, they have been out extra and I still deal with them. Im just tired of paying money for something that is not done.
Was hesitant at first to have someone come and spray the house. Being that i did not want to pay for something i thought i could do myself. BUT I had a cicada killer hornet problem and wasp spray was not doing the job. So i called edge and they showed up right when they said. And took care off hornets, sprayed the whole house inside and out. Plus i did a mosquito treatment witch i am very looking forward to. Overall awesome, finished fast and worth every penny. Some things are meant for professionals.

Glad I tried edge service, they are very responsive, kids friendly & most importantly so fast. The owner is very professional and respectful to your needs, I wanted the tech to come late and he didn’t mind at all.
I like that this is a small company that works in a responsible way to serve their customers. They have a low price and did not try to oversell when I set up my account. The ants are mostly gone after two days and they come back in a week to treat again after the first treatment.

Their service is ok, but not great. However my problem is they make it impossible to cancel. I signed up initially with my bank account, and I cant change my payment method online. When you call them to cancel your service you will be on hold for hours. There is no e-mail address to contact them, and if you talk to the sales team they will send you to the black hole customer service line where you can never cancel. What a joke!
Someone from this company rang my door to solicit their pest services. He was very friendly and professional, however I was a bit skeptical b/c randomly ringing peoples doorbells to solicit a service can also be a scam. After looking up the company and knowing that I need pest services, I will consider. I just think they should use a different approach to market their services for the safety of their staff and others.

Technician went above and beyond when I told him Sunday I had to go the doctor because I was stung by a wasp. He went the extra mile. With every penny of the very reasonable rate.
This morning someone from Edge walked over to my door and was trying to offer a promotion. I told him i am not comfortable to talk face2face due to covid, i can call them if i am in need of their services. He went on to say that he is the only one who can offer the promotion. He was trying to sell but i was concerned of talking to him without any mask. He didnt wear a mask. Edge should stop going door to door like this during Covid and not wearing a mask is a bad practice in this situation. They can market their services through phone calls or emails or take a prior appointment with those who are willing to speak to them.
Thorough, detailed and professional. Took the time to walk me through the areas where my house was pre-infested as opposed to just hammering me into signing a contract. I liked the various packages offered as well. Separated themselves from the competition!
First of all I would like to say Thank You to Jay and Ryan for providing the absolute best customer service. They were both very professional, friendly and concerned about my issues at hand with wasps flying all around as we were outside (keeping 6 feet between us for COVID). Jay made the cold call at my front door with his mask on standing 6feet from the door as I opened to greet him. I could see his smile and kindness through the mask! He shared some very important information about the insects and rodents that we are dealing with in North Texas and we live across the street from a thick tree and creek area.Ryan, the technician knocked on my door and introduced himself and went straight to work on the entire premises of my home and complete yard. Fortunately, he had the right tools in hand when he was hit with the swarm of wasps that met him as he opened the back gate. I do hope that he gets above his pay for his treacherous job with Edge. It was a real moment when he came back to the door and I asked how it went! Wasps DOWN! Ryan did a fantastic job at treating our home, garage and surroundings. He asked if I had any questions and made sure that if I did after he had gone to call the customer service line and he would be back out in no time to assist.Both gentlemen were extremely professional. Very professional on the phone, showed up on time, and explained the whole process when they arrived. The only thing that I don’t like is they’ve called me a couple times on the 866 number and did not leave a message. I feel if a business has something important enough to call about then they should leave a message for me to return their call.

I really like their service and I even recommended to my friends. HOWEVER, when I tried to reach out to them for my questions and concerns, it was EXTREMELY hard to be connected. I am still waiting for them to reply to my emails and VM.

They are very thorough and very knowledgeable. Since they are in Texas and it is hot, they should be able to wear shorts and short sleeve shirts. Since the headquarters is elsewhere, headquarters should know the weather your employees are working in.

Got Edge peat control to help me with grain beettle issue. First service was ok. I called in 2 weeks since it wasnt going down, they were responsive and sent someone the next day. Beetles started going down after that. Then after 1 month, they came again and Graham sprayed the house thoroughly. Very happy with Graham. Wish he came the other times too. He was very professional and took care of outside the house as well. We havent seen ants or other bugs that we seen last summer. Beetle problem went down a lot and hoping with another spray, we should be able to kill them all.Update 11/13:Still having issues but a manager took over my account and has been actively working on to get rid of my beettles issue. Very happy with their service. I understand that bug issues are a process to eliminate but Edge is working hard to get my house beettles free.
Not effective. Mosquitoes remain and continue to torment us following service. No follow up despite requests to resolve. Not sure this is aReal service. Seems fishy
