Metroflex Plano is the best gym hands down I have ever been privileged to be a part of. The owners and staff are second to none and treat you as if you are family. Metroflex Plano is where you get it done! I have found my tribe and gave gotten more value in the first month at Metroflex Plano than all my other years combined at other facilities. Not many people know I used to manage a womens fitness gym in Pensacola, FL and know what it takes to treat people well, keep things going, and give great advice. Kudos to a no frills, get it done, high quality facility. True Grit and All American. Love this place! ❤

Metroflex is THE MOST welcoming place. If you’re just starting your fitness journey and don’t feel very comfortable with yourself, this is the place to go.Everyone is there to work on themselves. No judgement here. If you need help, ask the other members and they will definitely help you.

Love this place!!! Absolutely an amazing gym to work out at! The members are very supportive. The owner has a dog who stays there during the day so if you do not like dogs, don’t even bother coming in. Great for building strongmen and powerlifters!

Ive been to a few different gyms in town, and so has my wife. We both really like this spot. Best equipment thats keep up and well kept up facilities.

If youre looking for a hardcore/underground vibe, this is the only gym to go to. Im literally a manager at another gym, but have a soft spot for this place.

They are only open 24hrs for members only.. if u show up on a saturday after 2 u can not get a day pass... these hours should be stated so people dont drive 30 minutes across the city to get there and not be able to use the gym... many other gyms like these have access set up to allow people to pay at the door through paypal or venmo and still get in.

This is a wonderful gym, hardcore but still a gym that you could visit daily! Friendly and family atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, great location, and a huge variety of equipment to choose from. I definitely will visit again next time Im in town!

This is THE best gym for powerlifting and strongman. I absolutely love training here— it’s the perfect place to focus on strength and working out instead of selfies and getting hit on. Best gym around by far and worth every cent. Even if you don’t like working out, you will; after being around such chill people who are not there just to “look pretty,” but actually work out. Feels more like a workout playground than a stuffy gym. My husband and I love it!

This is the best gym Ive ever been to. It has an underground feeling and hardcore vibe. You better like loud metal and heavy weights because otherwise you wont fit in here. Sure, the weights are old and the machines arent brand new, but everything works and nothing squeaks. Fans keep you cool and the open air design keeps it covid-free. This gym has the gym culture thats been sucked out of every other chain gym and it looks like itll stay this way. Once again, absolutely love this gym.

Love this Gym! They are one of the only few gyms open during this crazy time and they treat there members right! As a member we receive first priority so we don’t have to wait in line! The owner, Ryan goes above and beyond to make sure everything is running smoothly and is always very professional and apologetic if I have to wait for a few people to leave before I can go in so to make sure he doesn’t exceed the 25% capacity rule right now. I love this gym! I cant say enough good things about the gym, the Close brothers, and the members. I love how I can order my meat straight from a local farm and pick it up after my workout. Metroflex is down to earth and the atmosphere is awesome. The trainers are awesome and Ive recommended the gym to several co workers.

If you want to move to the next level of strength Metroflex Plano is where it is at. The atmosphere, coaches and equipment are unmatched for Strongman, Powerlifting or overall conditioning. I had never participated in a Strongman event and trained with Chris Close and ended up performing feats I never had before and placed 3rd place in my first Strongman competition.

Family owned hard-core gym through and through. Has tons (literally) of equipment to help you get a workout.

Loved the gym, the brothers are very nice and upstanding guys. Lots of events, tons of equipment and I love the back outdoor area. My only gripe is the short hours on the weekends and not very late on weekdays. I work 12 hour days so only days I could go would be days off, which having only two a week means only two workouts a week. My only suggestion would be with the key fob entry now being implemented to allow members to go later and use the fob for access. Other than that, great place and atmosphere. Thanks for having me!

Love, love, love this place! Definitely down to earth family atmosphere. People don’t sit around on phones taking selfies hogging the weights. Everyone is in there to do work! I see people help each other out and also rally together to root someone on when lifting heavy. They just went 24/7 which is a huge plus!

ZERO STARS!!! Makes people wait for 40+ mins outside in the heat when the gym has less then 10 people inside of it. After 8 people left he let one person in. Never coming back and disputing with my bank the gym charge.DO NOT COME HERE

Ive always heard the hype about this gym - expectations exceeded! There is something about the grit in the air that really pulls a new level of drive and determination from inside your core. This is the gym that definitely gets you in the mood to get going. It’s one hundred percent pure iron motivation. The owners Ryan and Chris are awesome! If youre not familiar with the machines, they are always willing to help and show you how the machines are used. You will always be told thanks for coming in, and to make sure to come back in tomorrow! They notice your hard work and appreciate all their members being a part of the gym. This gym is for all types of people, not just the hardcore, but will make you feel hardcore, for sure.

Im new to this gym but overall I love it. Great strongman and lifting equipment. Really friendly staff. I love the no selfies/no cell phone use rules as well as the outdoor space. I feel that for people interested in strongman this is the best place around as I found that Destination Dallas in Plano doesnt have enough equipment for my strongman training needs.

The atmosphere at the gym cant really be captured in a review. The gym is perfect, the people are great. Amazing training and workout spot. I learned a ton in a couple of personal training sessions and really improved my form on my big lifts and learned tons of great assistance work.

A perfect, no-nonsense place to lift weights. Staff is super friendly and helpful, as are the other patrons. If youre relatively new to weightlifting like I am, youll see some people here who can probably bench two of you, but no ones there to judge anyone else. Theyll help you with your form instead.

Metroflex of North Dallas is the bomb! It is the definition of a hardcore gym with hard rock and power lifting as well as traditional bodybuilding equipment everywhere. If you are serious about getting in shape, the owners Chris and Ryan will not hesitate to assist you in your goals. Best place to come to do work. They have a massive amount of weight and pro level grade equipment geared towards lifting lots of heavy weights.The lobby is comfortable for pre and post workout lounging but the gym area itself is straight forward. There isnt AC in the summer but there are many huge fans. If youre sensitive to the heat, take your time and hydrate and you should be fine after a few visits.Overall its the exact opposite of the gym on the corner and thats what makes it awesome.

I got a membership about a week ago and I can undoubtedly say this is by far the best gym I have ever been to. They have all types of equipment whether you’re a serious lifter or just want a great workout. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend this gym to anyone!

The best gym in DFW. I drive 30-45 minutes past 10 gyms to get here. Owner’s are great. Gym members are dope. The energy is contagious, music is loud. Metroflex gym of Plano is awesome! Im visiting here for Christmas away from my home gym B&W Gym in Chicago and its a home away from home for this powerlifter. Theyre allowing me to keep on track with my training schedule for competition in February and their dog is cute too! Their equipment is legit and the prices are really good.

Theres so much equipment to choose from, their staff is helpful and you can tell they take pride in their gym. From powerlifters, Strongman, bodybuilding, to just general fitness, this gym truly does have something for everyone.

My favorite gym in Dallas, lots of power racks. excellent place to squat, clean, and bench. You can even do short sprints out back. But put your phone away, you need to focus on your gainz!

Best part is you dont even have to pay a first time fee so you can just walk in and pay one month and done... You know when you cant find the weights you need because some dude left them all up on the smith machine, secured with collars? Then you bring them to the one squat rack but someone just claimed it as a curl and situp rack? Not at METROFLEX because people clean up after themselves and dont mess around. Also I never again have to deadlift with Despacito playing softly in the background thanks to their loud playlists. A++ for the equipment, trainers, and energetic vibes

A true old school gym. No frills, just iron, deadlift platforms and power racks, chalk, chains, logs and atlas stones. Serious lifters but a nicer bunch of strong men and women you wont find. Welcoming to all levels.

They have a lot of power racks which is very cool, and a lot of interesting and unique equipment. However on several occasions I drove 20 minutes to get there only to find that the hours had been changed and was closed, after checking online beforehand. Messages through their website are ignored. They also dont have a changing area, which is a pain in the neck for how far out they are. Similar issues canceling as others... I canceled on August 9th, and the charge shows up on my card on the 10th, but they said they charged on the 8th, so with their 30 days cancellation policy (where you have to cancel over the phone or in person and which you dont get written confirmation for) I was charged two additional months. They are very friendly about it all, but it left a bad taste. Edit: If you are updating it on your platform, it isnt propagating to where anyone can see it. I think you are mistaken. Everytime I went and it was closed, there was a paper sign in the window identifying the changed hours, and no change on google or your website.

Ive tried tons of other gyms (from big box to smaller hardcore gym) and never really felt comfortable at any of them until I came over to Metroflex. The owners, Chris and Ryan, are great dudes and they really care about what theyre doing and who theyre helping. Its been a great experience with these guys, and the equipment is exactly what youd want in a beard growing, man sweating, heavy lifting environment. Pure perfection.

Ive never worked here. So this review is legit.I worked out here near their opening in 2015. Great music: heavy beats and heavier metal. Great treatment by Chris and Ryan, the owners/ managers/ staffers - very accessible and frank and always happy to spot, watch, and hang out. That said, theyre very direct and honest - no BS. I was sold after a quick tour and spent a summer getting PRs in the gym.I workout there, time-to-time, if I feel like getting another 10 pounds on my squat. Nothings changed.

Great atmosphere, supportive members and staff for all lifting disciplines. Personally I can say its an elite gym in the area for powerlifting, from the available top end equipment, variance, and access to competitors in wide span of weight classes. Grateful and blessed with local access to such a gym.

Beautiful people! Family oriented ! Love love equipment...! Today i had to follow a workout through my phone so I had consistently look at my phone.. he came up to me and rudely asked if I looked at the SIGN he placed a few min ago... I was told to put it away or to step outside....thought i was taking a selfie... I understand and I know how it is to workout hard and focus on intense workouts but this person has been rude to me several times.... so SAD had to cancel ...bad costumer service from him only..didnt even bother to ask why I was cancelling, but overall.. Cant complain when youre trying to take care of business with your workouts.

So i have had problems canceling this membership that is only month to month membership for 3 months now i did what they asked and called in that didnt work then i had them do it over email so i would have written proof and I thought things where finally fixed lone and behold the third month they tried to charge my account again. I canceled because i didnt like being singled out at the gym or my wife for using the equipment the same way I saw everyone else doing super sets. This is probably the must unprofessional way ive seen a company do business maybe the 1st one was a mistake but 3 months in a row is just so upsetting and disappointing to know someone would run their business like that wouldnt recommended this place to anyone except the bbb for bad business practice the sad thing is i liked the different equipment they had to bad its all for nothing when you run your business like thisin responsecorrect the first time you denied refund until i oposted bad reviews and then you offerd to help in exchange for me to remove posts from yelp and so on so I did to get my refund and proram close the refund never happened i had to dispute it and i just left it alone my bank handled it l even left a decent review because i did like the gym just not the way i was treated but after continually redraft attempts and still not being canceled until maybe now we will see this month there is nothing to resolve and no 3 month mistake by accident people deserve to know what they are getting into

This is by far the best strength training facility in DFW. Everything you need to get stronger is here. The equipment is all in great condition and the people are truly supportive. Any level of strength athlete is welcome here and will never feel intimidated. The owner is easy to get a hold of and a fantastic resource. If you hate big box gyms filled with uncaring, unknowledgeable staff and unnecessary machines, you owe it to yourself to come to this gym. It is open to ANYONE who wants to get stronger. When I lived in the DFW area, I tried many other gyms and as I stated before this one was the best of the best. Great strength equipment, everything you would ever need to be at the top of your game in powerlifting, strongman, or bodybuilding. I can honestly say it was the total package and one of the best gym experiences I have ever come across. The people are also what make this gym amazing. As I mentioned before everyone from the owner and others associated with the gym are extremely helpful. The price is a great deal and is just that added bonus. Anyone relocating to the Dallas/Plano area or just passing through, I would strongly advise you to train here and not bother with any other gym.

I loved the intense vibe and you meet great people who not only push themselves to a level that you can only respect but also take the time to help you improve and it is like s playground for meat head the perfect combination of crossfit and weight training I highly recommend it.
