By all accounts it looks like the store is going out of business. There were far more empty shelves and spaces then there were ones with merchandise. I saw just 6 staff. There was less than 20 cars in the parking lot. DONT waste your time going there like I did! Look through the 26 photos I posted to see just how few products they have available.

It’s too bad they’ve gone out of business. They use to be a terrific place to get advice and pickup computer and electronics. I’ll miss them their selection and convenience.It was always helpful for them to be so close. Now I’ve gotta basically wait on Amazon to deliver something and then see if it’s what I really want and then have the hassle of return and try again rather than see it, have an item in my hands to know if I want to purchase it as I had with Frys!

The store has been empty for a while... even before COVID hit so thats not an excuse... not really sure what the point of keeping the doors open and paying for rent and utilities when you literally having nothing to sell other than As Seen On TV junk.Its such a squandered opportunity because Micro Center down the highway is packed... so its not like theres not a market for computer stuff.I heard there is some kind of new purchasing model and thats why all their stores are empty... but they are going on 7 or 8 months like this... that cant be sustainable for much longer.

Frys use to be the place you would go to get anything electronic. They had it all, and at a killer price. Going there today made me sad. Not only did they not have what I was looking for to build a budget gaming PC. All they did have was overpriced Cases, Power supplies and Water coolers. When I asked the lonely worker where all the parts were he stated that they had gotten some GPUs a few weeks ago but they have not gotten CPU, Motherboards and RAM in many months. The TV selection was all unknown brands that were not on display. It all looked like the ordering manager use to work at Wish.com and then jacked up the price. Everything was un-known brands that some Chinese company thought would sound good-enough to Americans for them to buy. I would not trust these electronics that plugs in to the wall in fear of it causing a fire. Maybe Collin County and the CDC can use some of the available space as a COVID temporary hospital. Lord knows there is not much risk of the public wandering in to this place as there is no other reason for them to come here any more. Or maybe Micro Center will move to this location so that they can have more room and checkout lines. Lord knows their business model did not need to change like Management at Frys did.If you are a part time worker at Frys good luck and when I went down to Micro Center to get what I was looking for, I did see that they were hiring.

Theres nothing here. It is obviously about to shut down. Really sad. I really enjoyed shopping here.

Nice and friendly staff, clean store.Started to restock more items.Tons of canned air(looked like 300 units), CDs, DVDs.Small appliances, Danby freezers and fridges. MSI Laptops.I bought a Z-Edge Gaming monitors 32 curved and got the new Thermaltake RGB Ram 3600Mhz 16GB for only $109!!!Rebuilding it back up!*JUST Because your having a crabby day doesnt mean you can take it out on the employees*

The store seems to be in a constant state of reorganization. Every time i visit, the things are being moved around and are hard to find. Also most of the shelves are usually empty whenever I visit this or any of their other locations in the DFW areaUpdate Visited Frys again after 6+ months and this place seems to have gotten worse. I needed a soldering iron and none was to be found in the store. Just rows and rows of empty shelves. In fact the camera section did not have any actual cameras on display. Just pictures of cameras and some basic specs on each. I’m amazed how this store is still operating. On the other hand they did seem of have a wide selection of mattresses and “As seen on TV” trinkets. If you are going here for electronics or anything related to electronics save yourself the trip

The shelves are empty, I heard people saying theyre going to Micro Center. Only one person out of the entire store asked if we needed help.

I used to work here almost 15 years ago. It was lively and full of people always. Now its shelves are bare and I tried to buy a $2000 LG TV but couldnt find a single sales associate, so I just left.

I think we can safely say that they will be out of business soon....

Very happy with my recent purchase of a massage chair and efficient free delivery and setup.I researched everywhere you have to pay extra for that around $150 or more called white glove delivery.They didnot charge even a penny !Very impressed !Delivery people came on time next day and completely set up the chair in place.I am very grateful!!@@@p.s .bought a massage chair half off the price

There were hardly any cars when we pulled up, which surprised me based on my experience with other Frys. The store is empty inside. Bare shelves. It was a bizarre experience. The selection is poor.

Nizar Ghneim a Computer Sales Associate was such a great help to me today. He noticed that I needed help with making a reasonable price based good choice for a computer. My questions in regarding the product was answered to a point where I felt comfortable to go ahead and make that purchase. Also he gave me a card so I can contact him with any further questions *which I am sure to have :-) * Thank you for taking the time to help a not so computer savvy person..I appreciate it.

I moved my mask to finish a phone call and was chased down by the store manager (he reminded me of this a LOT) that if I move my mask one more time we was calling security to escort me out of the store. Then he began to explain to me that I was being allowed to shop there as a privilege and that I should be thanking him for opening the doors, After about 40 seconds of his speech I rolled my eyes out of frustration and he got offended and almost tried to kick me out then.Honestly if I was the manager of that store I wouldnt be admitting it to anyone, much less proud of it, The selection is completely decrepit, And finding an employee to help you is rare at best, They were helpful when I did find them though, and the couple people who asked me if I needed help.Mind you this is not a crowded store at the moment, Less than 20 customers in the entire store at the time of this occurrence, And and not a single person was within a 100 for me except for the manager. When you nashley shouted across the front of the store he was at least a 100 away and I was confused as to who he was yelling at so loudly in the front of a store...Needless to say I will never go back.Zero stars isnt possible.

Great selection of computer parts and accessories. Have a large toy collection my kids enjoy browsing. As most big box stores, could use more help staff on the floor.

Everytime I go there it is a beating. Im exhausted from finding the advertised item then wait in line to only deal with a clerk who says the promo code isnt working, ask me to go back take a pic of it then I waited back in line to wait for another clerk who then wanted to check his phone to see if the promo code had a limit. (Purchased 3 18pk kelberg k-cups) As he fiddles with his phone for 5 mins then calls a manager over which took another 10 mins for him to come to the registers to price adjust the items as advertised. I mean couldnt we just skip the unnecessary. Its your companys ad!

I dont think there are more than two employees here. The whole store is pretty much empty, and I waited at customer service for 15 minutes and nobody showed up. Everything they have is pretty much on the shelves directly inside the door. Dont bother wasting your time by coming here.

I really just went because my friend wanted to but alot of the store is empty. Pretty sure there going to close soon. I will say they have tons of masks and sanitizer and face shield though if you are looking. I dont think most people have thought to look there for that stuff.

Not sure how to rate Frys today.The staff was simply outstanding, however, inventory was nonexistent.

Short of staff, I guess because of Covid. Staff there working hard. They did not have what we were looking for, but I found something else that I needed. The floors are decorated like you would find in a classic bank.

What can I say, if you like technology stuff this store is your fix. Everything anyone could want. Parts to build your own stuff. Offerings for beginners to pros .

Most shelves are empty. Hate to see it this way. When you ask the employees, they tell you more stock is coming soon. Several of the California stores have closed...they told customers the same thing there. Was one of my favorite stores to browse in for years....I guess the party is over. RIP

I love the place but its gotten empty... feels like a empty warehouse now. Remember when that place was always hopping with customers and merchandise then after the covid-19 shutdowns its sad to see such a vibrant lively place to be reduced in such a manner.

Absolutely terrible. I do believe this store has completely given up on customer service. My business partner were literally in there for an hour and could not find 1, not 1 person on the sales floor. I think they have laid everyone off except for the cashiers. Its a shame that many years ago this was one of the best electronic stores in Dallas, including the customer service. Those days are over now. Pandemic or not, there must still be a level of hospitality and the ability to get service.

I used to love Frys, it was my go to for all electronics. I dont know whats going on with this location, but this place has NOTHING right now. That explains why the parking lot was empty.

The few people that are there are nice and do as best as they can. But the lack of variety in many things, including PC components, leaves me scratching my head. they could compress everything they have into the front half of the store and still have leftover space.This used to be my favorite box store in DFW. I hope they can turn it around.

Significant change in number of products being stocked. Very few employees working the floor stations. I was still able to find what I was looking for and it was competitively priced

This place used to be my Disneyland. I could go in and be perfectly content for an hour or two so saying this really hurts. Ill never be back, theres no point. You walk into any DFW location to see a cavernous expanse of empty shelves and a few mostly picked over pieces of outdated or obsolete tech. Employees wander aimlessly because there isnt even enough to pretend to straighten on shelves. Its like the final 10 minutes of a going out of business sale in here. They really should just pull the plug and give Amazon credit for the kill because this place is dead

I got a great deal on a camera (open box) only to learn that the sensor was damaged because they didnt have a body cap on the product. I didnt rate them 5 because this error is going to cost me more money to replace the sensor.

Was really dissapointed in their selection. Staff wasnt as knowledgeable as they should be and products were out dated. Ill stick with Microcenter or online.

Frys was cool in 2005-2010 when Plano was more of a suburb with and open fields. This store is a waste of time... out-dated. Staff uneducated... even the adults. If you would like good service Id suggest that guy selling speakers out the back of his van before going to this spooky deserted store with, GED employees. Place will be shutting down soon though... maybe a nice BestBuy or Micro Center will open up there. Get this eye sore out of our city. Keep Plano Beautiful. Good luck Frys.

Just close already, been shopping here for past 10 years....I remember 15 mins to checkout, annoying sales people, and parking was a nightmare. How I long for those days... For well over the past year this place has been getting worse and worse in terms of inventory, and staff, its ridiculous now, no inventory no staff. At least no lines or bad parking tho.

I asked the employee checking out what was going on with the store she said Nothing is going on with Frys Electronics! Sounding all rude... it was just a question. If nothing was going on then it wouldnt look like it does.. GHOST TOWN PERHAPS! ITS THE NEW CHANGE THE STORE IS DOING WHICH the trouble of getting new things from other places and having to pay back the companies if the items dont sell. The companies send them an amount of items and whatever doesnt get sold they send it back to them and the companies are the ones who dont make any profit! Something like that is what i read. Dont waste your time. I should have thought to taken pics, the shelves are bare. Unasked a guy if they were going out of business. He said no, that theyre having problems getting merchandise. I dont believe them, the store was EMPTY! Like, literally, 3 models of laptops. NO appliances, no books, no video consoles, cafe shut down, home audio speaker display/room shut down. This place was SAAAAAAD!

Huge store, besides computer stuff of all kinds, has movies, phones, small appliances, and beds... But a bunch of empty shelves, and no store directory, just a few overhead signs. It took me about 5 minutes to find someone to ask where something was.

The personnel was very very helpful. Great service and they do try to satisfy all their customers.

Shelves not well stocked. Sales person not very knowledgeable. Went to Home Depot where I got great staff help and the electronic parts I needed. Frys seems to really fallen behind in service and supplies.

Hey, they dont have as much as they used to, but what they have is great. Great prices (and they still price match anything you find online....) and a great selection of interesting brands and products. Give it a shot: walk the aisles, and you just might find something cool to play with. I scored all kinds of small, off brand electronics and a bad-A tripod for less than 100 dollars. RIP to the old Frys, but welcome to the off brand consumer electronics warehouse.

I love Frys but is it just me or do that have way less things in stock and on display? Its almost as if there getting ready to close all of there stores or something because its not just one store like this its others. Such as the one on northwest hwy as well.

Great place to get your electronics, especially if youre tired of sales people at the box stores trying to sell you stuff they dont understand.I had the tech guys help me put together a parts list for a PC build a few years ago. They did a great job asking good questions to figure out the best build that would stay in my budget and future proof me down the road. A few years later and still enjoying my computer and surprised at how well the parts they sold me are doing handling much more than I planned for and allowing me to upgrade when needed.

Whatever negetive comment you read about this store, take advice from those comments. This store has the nerve to sell returned misplaced items and sell it back to the public. I got 8 4k Swann cameras that were supposed to come complete. They cost $1,099 without tax. $1,190 +/- with tax. They are supposed to be Poe ethernet cable compatable. But I got home and find out that the box has only 4 Poe cameras and got the other 4 with the red coaxial cameras. Ok, so I come back and tell them whats happening. They say cant give me a new box with the right cameras. They wanted to remove 4 cameras from another box with 6 cameras and replace the 4 I was needing. I didnt want that. I payed HARD earned cash to have something complete. I DID NOT pay for parts. So then, me fed up with this mess, tell them I dont want these so called factory cameras. I told them give me my money back. Then the manager of this joint, sadly with a missing arm, who I thought would help me in my time of need, just says smiling and laughing, Im not giving you jack pal. So then I said Im calling the cops. Cop shows up and to top it all off says he cant help because its a civil case. Thanks for nothing. So then when everything seemed sour until a faithful employee whos first name is Eric, came in and said, whats the problem? Told him whats happening. Then says thats easy and gave me store credit. Thank god someone understands. Go to another frys store in Irving, got everything straight, and got what I deserved. Maybe go there, I dont know. I NEVER should have went thru this. The nerve of these so called professionals. Thats my advice to whoever wants to shop at Frys. DONT. Go to bestbuy or anywhere else. Underneath are what came wrong. Your choice.

Service was great. Man that helped me was more than knowledgeable in his department. Low rating-no scooters for those who cannot walk. Think how much more business there would be if handicapped people had access to this store also. The isles are large enough.

This place is completely empty. There are no TVs on the shelf, no salesperson in sight. I walked around for over an hour and found nothing in a store thats bigger than Walmart. Not a good place to shop either, their prices are high. This is definately going to be a store about to go under.

Alright, this is my go-to electronic store! I loved coming here, and it is really sad that it is all empty... But, before, it was great. Had a great selection of computer parts, all the hot video games, good TV selection, a great headphone selection, ect. It was a great place to be! The employees were nice, always willing to help. The store was mostly clean, and maybe a few clean up in isle 9!... Honestly, a good place. 4 stars?

Probably the BEST electronics store. I wish we had them in Tulsa. Amazing selection and staff that actually knows what they are talking about. I buy here before going to a competitor like Best Buy, Amazon. Also, their mango shakes/smoothies in the cafe are EXCELLENT!

Only had the lower specd laptop model. Sales associate was pretty much useless.

Havent been to a Frys in a long time. Needed two computers and I just happened to be near there. Used to be people would follow you around everywhere trying to sell you something, but I couldnt find an employee. Plus I guess they sell perfume and made for TV stuff now.

This store is obviously on its way out. Youd be better off heading to Best Buy or similar. The shelves were empty except for everything no one wanted. They were even trying to charge 30 dollars for figures based on the new Aladdin movie. I went in trying to find a good wireless keyboard and they only had one brand available and it was being marketed based on a gimmick. I wouldnt expect this store to open past 1Q2020.

You should visit the Cafe inside the Frys... Its GOOD.

Not worth the drive or your time. I went here with high expectations, and come to find out over half the inventory is out of the store. On top of that, they kicked out my wife and daughter because my daughter didnt have a mask on. SHE IS 2 YEARS OLD!!! How do you make a child wear a mask who cant even talk yet. I was very disappointed! HUGE let down.

I havent been to Frys in a while. Today I visited to pick up an item I couldnt find anywhere else. Frys had it, but I was surprised at how barren the store looked. Many shelves barely stocked, entire sections almost empty. It was kind of a ghost town. I imagine online sales have had a major impact on the business. As I left, I looked for any signs of a closeout sale or something, but there were none. Wow...

Do not waist your time going in this store unless you need COVID-19 personal protection like masks, hand sanitizers or a phone chargers. Thats all your going to find here. The rest of the store is depressing to walk around in with all the bare shelves. The employees all seem to have better things to do like chat with each other instead of helping you with anything. Just like the several posts prior: Its time to let Frys pass on to the grave of lost businesses already.

Today (9-20-19) I went in the buy a mechanical keyboard, as Frys normally has a robust hardware section. I found 2 from companies I had never heard of and the boxes for them had been ripped open. The entire row was completely empty, really the whole computer hardware section was almost completely empty. I will have to find hardware elsewhere in future, simply because Frys doesnt have any. A tech store that doesnt sell computer parts.

Store nearly empty

It looks like its going out of business. A lot of empty shelves and aisles. Its not the Frys we used to go to when we moved there 8 years ago.😢

It looks like they’re going out of business but when I asked, they said they weren’t. They also make you check out twice, once while you in the store they look up the product and mark it and the again at the front where you actually pay.

A shell of its former self. Dont get me wrong Ive been a loyal customer but miss the themed, huge, busy stores I would go to in California in the 80s and 90s. Still worth a look until they close their doors for good.

Employee didn’t understand that they still have to answer the phone after another store transfers you to them.Store hours? What do those even mean?? Frys used to be my home away from home. I am a very tech savvy individual, so I didnt require much assistance once there. I used it for just about all of my electronic needs. PlayStation, laptops, audio video equipment and accessories, you name I have been buying here for decades. Well, I needed some cell phone accessories(cases and such). I walk in after getting off work. I rushed in because I needed it for the next day. Most of the time I am greeted with a smile and a hello. Nothing. No problem. I am walking around trying to find what I am looking for. Someone comes up to me and says, we are closing in 5 minutes, please hurry up with your shopping. I have never been told to hurry and get out of Frys. EVER. So the 3 items I had in my hand, I sat down and walked out. I am never giving them my business again. With empty shelves, you would think they would be happy to have customers, yet alone loyal customers. I guess not...

Work right around the corner. Come up here often looking for various things. Every time I walk out wondering why I went to Frys. They have no stock of anything I go looking and a ton of shelf space is just empty. Most recently I just wanted to get a cell phone screen protector for a Note 10. Not a single one in stock. I dont remember the last time I actually have bought anything here. Frustrating.

I was here on opening day and still stop by at least once a week for some dinky little tech part. The stores inventory is now fairly depleted from the China-US trade situation; I expect it will be restored when the countries settle their trade issues. Sadly, it still may be the only place for hardcore techies between San Jose and the Valley.

Whats going on here? For months the shelves have been mostly empty. Selection is very limited. They still have some good deals on products, but if youre going there for computer parts good luck. I asked about this in store around October and they said they were going to be restocking and re-arranging which appears to be true as far as re-arranging goes but no new product to be found. Just go down 75 a few miles to Micro-center and find the products you need.
