I had taken my dog, Stella to this clinic as a referral. She had been seen a few times over the past 2 years for her annual shots and minor things. During Stella’s exam in December of 2020, one of the techs noticed that she had a cracked tooth. They told me they needed to take an x ray to ensure she was not in pain or that it had become abscess. After the x ray (which they never provided me with and still haven’t seen) they told me it would be best for that tooth to be extracted. I was hesitant because my dog has never shown signs of discomfort and was eating her food and chewing on toys as normal. After multiple phone calls and attempts to get a copy of Stella’s x ray the tech on the phone informed me that “we aren’t sure if we still have that document” or “I’ll have to check with the vet and get back to you”. I paid $250 for this service and still have not been given her x rays! I have since gone to another vet. When my new vet requested this documentation they said they didn’t have anything on file… I do not trust this animal clinic! They are expensive and charge you for services that are not received.

Overall your not bad but i was upset that i didnt get sorry for your loss about Happy. I spent a lot of money taking here there. I called the Friday before Friday the 13 and was told to go to Indy Vet. I did but sadly my dog was in pain and suffering. I had to put her to sleep.Indy Vet was wonderful and caring when my heart was aching.On Monday i call in to return new unopen dog food. I only got an aw.

BUYER BEWARE - PREPARE TO BE GOUGED - On the surface, the staff seems knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and makes every attempt to convey that they have you and your pets best interests at heart, but in my experience, Im sorry to say that they have proven to be completely money hungry and deceitful. We had a small suspicious looking spot/growth checked out on our dog. At first, Dr. Hanlon indicated that it didnt appear to be cause for concern, but he still recommended a fine needle aspiration (biopsy) just to be sure. After performing the test, he claimed that it came back with a diagnosis of being a mast cell tumor (cancerous), prescribed a course of daily Benadryl, and recommended surgery to remove it at a whopping expense of nearly $1,200. A previous vet did not offer a needle test, declared it a malignant melanoma, and quoted surgery at $500. Needless to say, it was clear I needed to get a 3rd opinion at yet another practice. To make a long story short, this 3rd opinion (a more honest practice that is a small business not motivated by greedy corporate mandates) removed the tumor for about half the price that VCA quoted and the lab work came back as officially BENIGN. In hindsight, I should have had the new vet do their own needle aspiration, but A) One would think that vets are in this business to operate with sound moral character, so I trusted VCA to provide honest test results and B) I had already spent plenty of $$ at this point with multiple visits, so I opted not to do yet another test, especially at the risk of spreading any potential cancer. Our poor dog ended up having much wider margins than necessary taken during surgery which made for a lengthy and uncomfortable recovery. At the end of the day, were relieved that there is no cancer, but we are definitely disappointed in being misled by VCA. The moral of this story is to listen to your gut if you think you need a 2nd or 3rd opinion.

So far so good, will update after second appointment. Update: second appointment went well. So once again, so far so good. Update: Update - 3rd and 4th visits went well. My dogs Doctor is the best of the bestest, she cares for my Sparkles as if he was her own. Thank you.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! A few months ago we learned that our dog needed surgery due to cancer. We were devastated and had so many questions. But Dr. Shelly and the staff at VCA were there for us each and every step along the way. They were available for any and all questions we had. We are beyond appreciative for their caring hearts and experience to help us through this. Meant the world to us as our pets are our family. 💙🐾

Bunch of used car salesmen working here. Trying to sell me a bunch of stuff we don’t need or want. And when the first guy can’t sell it to you, they send the second guy in and see if they can squeeze more money out of you. Not forth coming either. Said the bill would be x amount, but failed to mention that amount was for one dog and not both until after they provided the service. Wanted to go in for $40 worth of vaccines and walked out spending over $200. But I will say they were very friendly, just wasn’t pleased with the desperate money grab, guilt tripping, and sneakiness. Anyway I’ll get off my soap box.

Very happy with Dr. Hanlon and the staff at VCA. Changed vets in the middle of wound care because I was not happy with the care. Dr. Hanlon came up with a treatment plan and had great communication throughout the process. The cost of services is a little higher than others in the area, however the service provided so far has been excellent and deserving of the price.

We LOVED our visit. You could tell they genuinely loved animals. So glad we found our fur baby Milo this place!

We had to say good bye to two of our fur babies within months of one another. We took them both here to say goodbye. Our first one we were gifted a clay paw print. We were told we would get one for our other fur baby as well. Long story short, something got mixed up and we did not receive the paw print.The manager Chantel Adams commented on my review within 24 hours and called us about the incident. She very diligently worked with us to get something in memory of our dog. We got a very beautiful Plaque. Chantel went above and beyond to fix the mistake that was made and my family is very appreciative of it.All members we worked with, with both of our babies were very caring and sweet. Mistakes happen and she was more than willing to fix it. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately, I had to put my cat down this past month, and the staff was extremely nice. They made sure my cat, Wrigley, felt as comfortable as possible, and gave me as much time as I needed with her beforehand. It is not an easy thing to deal with, but you could tell that the staff really cares about the well-being of all of their animals that they provide care for. I would recommend this team to anyone. They even sent a nice card to my family and I afterward. Great, great people!

Took my kitten there paid $53.00And was told my kitten had herpes Nothing given any thing ZERO.Called and ask for eye drops. And they NEVER called me back. How cold. I called your office 2 times for eye drops. And you never called me back. Why wasnt I given it on day ONE? i went to another vet clinic was given drops and shots that was needed. NEVER AGAIN WITH YOU

We had a great first visit. Dr. Haithcox and Cori were excellent. They were very kind and gentle with our little dog Molly, and when Molly had an unexpected issue (a completely random issue due to Mollys specific health issues, and not related to the care provided by the clinic) afterward, they responded very well. They listened to our concerns carefully, and answered all of our questions at our visit. Molly was also very comfortable with them-and that for us really speaks to how much they care for animals. In regards to pricing, they are very much in line with other vets in the area that we have visited. They also provided an itemized invoice before any treatment was performed so there were no surprises for us. Thank you from Molly and her people!

Dr. Hanlon did me a big favor and got me out of a bind. When no one was open and I was a last-minute appointment, he got my dog shots which allowed him to be placed in a kennel for vacation. I almost had to call my trip off because of my poor planning. But this place stepped up and saved me.

This is the best veterinary clinic ever! All of the vets are wonderful. They are willing to spend as much time as it takes to answer all of my questions and discuss possible solutions to any problems my dogs maybe having. I have had several dog emergencies, and they have always been able to get me in ASAP. They also offer boarding which gives me peace of mind knowing my pets are being well taken care of while I am away.

I recently moved and needed a new vet after being with the same one for over 20 years. The Animal Clinic of Plainfield has made me feel at home. Staff is friendly and caring. They listen and answer my questions fully. I get detailed information on any necessary procedures and dont feel pressured when making a decision about my pets health. The staff of the Animal Clinic of Plainfield are very knowledgeable and skilled in veterinary medicine and current with the latest trends, research and techniques in use today. I have been a client for nearly 15 years and it is because they treat my dogs like their own. When my animals are in for boarding or under the care of Dr. Deckard and his staff, I am confident they are well cared for and looked after. I wouldnt consider taking my dogs to any other facility.

My dog had a visible tumor on his belly. They wanted to do a biopsy to make sure it wasnt cancerous. At first they said they could look at it there in the clinic. Then came back and said they needed to send it off, which cost $180 extra. They also said he HAD to have his teeth cleaned, which cost $350. The results came back and the surgery to remove the tumor was quoted at $900+.I got a second opinion. The new vet couldnt believe they did a biopsy of the tumor before it was removed-since cutting the tumor open could have spread the cancer. I ended up getting the surgery done with the new vet. It cost me $108-total. Absolutely ridiculous Plainfield Animal Clinic can operate this way. Ive been going there for over 6 years. NEVER AGAIN.

Today was our (mine and our puppy Rocco) first visit. This particular location was recommended by a co-worker and I am extremely happy I followed her advice! The Vet Tech/Assistant, Kaci was a phenomenally knowledgeable, kind young woman who never made my many questions feel silly. She patiently answered ALL of my questions while she loved and cared for my pet like I envision she would do her own. Both Rocco and I were made to feel very well taken care of! Dr. Hanionas fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place if you love your pet! You wont be disappointed!

When I first began hunting for a vet, I wanted to feel like I was at a place that cared about my dogs as much as I do. After visiting a couple area vets and leaving unsatisfied with the level of service, I finally found the Animal Clinic of Plainfield--I will never visit another vets office again. I couldnt be happier with the service I receive each and every time I visit (which is often due to my high-maintenance dogs that require regular vet care.) The receptionists are extremely friendly, the vet techs are always helpful, and the veterinarians are both knowledgeable and extremely caring. Everyone there takes the time to truly listen and answer any questions I have. I have absolutely no doubt that they care about my dogs as much as I do. I would highly recommend the Animal Clinic of Plainfield to anyone looking for a great vet in Hendricks County.

OUTSTANDING -- have have been taking our pets to the Animal Clinic of Plainfield for some time. Our first experience was an emergency situation where our previous provider shared that we could come in and wait for several hours, but they would not likely be able to see our dog that was in critical condition. Dr. Deckard and his team (Animal Clinic of Plainfield) not only saw our beloved pet, but determined our previous provider had misdiagnosed a critical issue.The entire team is top-notch - they have provided great education, insight and advice regarding our pets that we consider a part of family. We consider the team a blessing and would not consider taking our pets to any other provider.

I showed up at 7:35 and there were no vets available. My expectation is that office hours should reflect when pets can actually be seen. They also dont typically take walk-in appointments.

This clinic is terribly overpriced. My family and I had to relocate out of state, so when we tried to refill scripts for our dogs, they refused to work with us. They mandated that the scripts be picked up in person. We paid them nearly $700 for annual shots and six months worth of ComboGuard, and they wouldnt fax, email, or mail us a script so we could keep our dogs healthy. Nonsense. I do not recommend them on any level, and if I could give them a negative rating I most certainly would. Disgraceful.

I cant recommend this practice enough. Both Dr. Deckard, Dr. Koehlinger, and their staff are so friendly and I can tell that they care about my pets. I feel very comfortable raising any concerns or asking questions. Theyve done a great job explaining what is going on with my pet anytime one has been sick, and my pet gets better quickly with their treatment. I love that I can communicate with the office so easily online for refills, appointments, or questions. I feel that the quality of care here is top notch and I would not go anywhere else.

We had a GS with an uncurable condition. And after trying out several vets in the area and beyond we finally found Dr. Hopper. She was very responsive to our requests and respected our wishes with regard to treatment. Because of the experiences we had during that time we bring all our pets to The Animal Clinic of Plainfield. Weve never encountered any problems with ordering perscription medications online. And find their prices to be much more reasonable than many of the previous offices we visited.

These guys are great! There are less expensive vets, but none that take better care of you beloved pets.

You may pay more than at Banfield but you will get A LOT better service and care
