I came in a bit insecure about filing my returns because of some circumstances and Leslie was very kind and polite to me.He explained me the details about my returns and told me it was very simple and that the free H&R software online would be enough instead of having to pay for him to do it.Super happy with his professionalism and kindness. My tax expert (Leslie Goldstein) was so knowledgeable. I had some unique situations that I had never encountered before and he handled all of them with ease. He also made a few suggestions for updating my W2 so that Im paying enough throughout the year and avoid a large payment for 2021. Really appreciated him!

The cost for preparing my tax return was extremely expensive. I had a very simple return and the cost for preparation was very high and it took many hours to prepare my simple return. Also, I thought that H&R Block stood behind their tax preparation in the case of an audit only to find that I had to purchase additional H&R products to ensure I was covered in the case of an audit. I would not go back to H&R Block for the preparation of a tax return again.

Mark is professional, knowledgeable and shows a genuine interest in my best financial outcome. As a 1099 independent contractor, doing ones taxes can be very intimidating. Mark has worked with me for several years and done an excellent job in showing me how to keep track of business expenses in relation to my taxes. The tax professional (Mark) completed the returns and they seem to have been accepted. However, he made frequent sexist remarks to me (think: youre in grad school? Whos paying for THAT?!; I see youre not married...YET! But thats ok; you look much nicer with your hair down; etc.), did not listen to what I had to say (and, as a result, fairly frequently entered incorrect information and needed to be corrected), and did not always seem familiar with the basic forms and segments of my tax return. The process took a long time and was far too expensive, especially considering Marks lack of professionalism and the fact that I left the session with little confidence that he had correctly filed my return.
