The salon was cute, clean, and welcoming. I got a leg wax from Jaime and she was really great - efficient but thorough. It was my first time for a full leg wax and I was worried it might be painful, but it really wasn’t. Will definitely visit again!

Went yesterday and got a Brazilian with Jen, absolutely amazing! Not only is Jen full of life and energy but she uses it to make you extremely comfortable from the minute she greets you to the moment you walk out the door! The service was just as excellent. She left me super smooth and gave plenty of tips to make your wax last and easier for next time. Absolutely adored her! 100% recommend Jen to anyone looking for a great wax, beginners or not! Jen is a wonderful esthetician! She did my Brazilian as well as my eyebrows. We was extremely professional and detail-oriented. My Brazilian turned out amazing with little pain. She gave me advice on how to make my next Brazilian even more painless and recommend in-store products. She was very attentive and helpful when it came to shaping my eyebrows. I googled waxes near me and this place was on the list, in the top five. After reading all the good reviews, I called and was able to schedule a same day appointment.This was my first Brazilian wax and it was Amazing! It was with Nina. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed, the conversion was just enough, and I felt so free and pretty afterwards. I dont know if its her method, the way my hair grows, a combination of both or what, but it was overall painless. I am looking forward to adding waxing to my self care list and seeing Nina again.Jodi was also polite while booking me. The spa is pretty and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

Got a Brazilian here and it was the best experience! Alana was super professional and sweet and made the process almost pain free. She was thorough and left me feeling beautiful. I was super anxious before my appointment because I had gotten a Brazilian somewhere else last month and it was AWFUL! This experience truly changed my outlook on waxing in general. Jen was very professional, I had my first Brazilian wax done with her. She took the time to explain the process making it very comfortable for me. She made sure that she explained aftercare and she also gave me some samples of lotion. She took the time to make sure I was okay and my making sure my wax looked amazing. The room/bed was very clean.

This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian wax and Jennifer made me feel really comfortable. She was very professional and answered and explained any questions I had. The wax did hurt but it was worth it for feeling super smooth at the end. She was a great conversationalist which took my mind of the pain. I came here for my first wax with Katie because of the great reviews and I could not have been more disappointed. I still give 3 stars because the room and lobby were clean and inviting and the girl at the desk was very sweet and calming. I also work in the service industry and know how hard it is for businesses these days and don’t want to rip them apart with a 1 star review.Another woman came in shortly after me got her first wax as well and was immediately greeted by Jamie who came out and took her back reassuring her about everything and doing everything she could to make her comfortable. Five minutes later the girl at the desk took me back to the room, gave me a quick rundown of what to do, and asked if I needed anything before going back to the desk. A few minutes later Katie came in and didn’t know what service I was getting, after explaining what I was there for and that it was my first time and how awkward I felt she got right to work. She had none of the warmth Jamie had, I kept apologizing and trying to make conversation to distract myself and got polite but short responses. I knew it was going to hurt but was completely unprepared for just how much. No empathy from Katie. She would ask if I was ok but that’s was pretty much it. When she was done she tossed me a wipe and left. I thanked her and cried. The room and I were a mess. There was wax and hair everywhere, I felt gross and embarrassed.When I got home I showered and cried again when I realized how incomplete her work was. I could have just shaved and had the same results. I wish I had booked with Jamie, she seemed so kind I’m sure I would have had a better experience. Im hoping that I just caught Katie on an off day but I doubt I’ll book with her again.I apologize for the less than stellar review but I really didn’t have the experience everyone else seemed to have.

I had a great skin technician who eventually because a good friend of mine for many years who I loved and trusted. She always provided great services. Since my move to Pittsburgh finding beauty experts has been a huge fail. Bad experiences for eyebrow threading, Brazilian waxing, hair technicians, you name it I have had many fails and I decided to give up on my search.But before I would give up I decided to give Brazilian Wax and Spa by Claudia a try because of a friend from works recommendation. So I convinced myself to give it a try as my last chance before I decided I would try and teach myself to do it on my own lol. I was traumatized because of my last waxing appointment a month prior to this appointment at another salon went so horribly I was in tears from pain for 3 days!! Jenn was able to calm my mind from all the anxiety I had built up. She is extremely precessional and understanding of my situation. She was able to easy my mind and there was minimal pain her skill level was the best I had experienced since California and believe it or not she had me laughing so hard at times during my appointment that I took my mind off the service completely.I am proud to say I have found a new skilled skin technician and a friend in Jennifer from this experience and I am looking forward to my next appointment in a month.It’s so important to have someone you are comfortable with and knows what they are doing when it comes to Brazilian waxes especially. The first time I went here I enjoyed my experience, although the person who did my wax (I got a Brazilian) took off everything when Id asked to leave a strip. Which, okay, people make mistakes, its whatever. But this happened again the second time I went, which is incredibly frustrating- I really, really dont like to be totally bald, and this has happened multiple times at other wax spas, too, but I thought Id give this place another shot. Also, I liked their price- but after I left and looked at my receipt, I saw that I was charged $45, not $38, like the price had been listed on their website. I probably would have been less bothered about that, if I had gotten the waxing service that Id asked for. Doubtful that Ill be going back.

This was my first time visiting here, and first time for a facial as well. The salon was very cute & clean. I had dermaplaning and the HyrdaFacial, and my face feels amazing. Youthful even. I would highly recommend it. Rachel was super personable and did a wonderful job!

Great atmosphere. Parking is free on Sundays. Friendly staff. Prices of the services are reasonable. Definitely worth the drive if you live further away. The products are organic, if you have sensitive skin.

Best place so far for waxing, threading, sugar waxing, laser hair removal and basically everything they offer. I had gone to a few different places to do my eyebrows and was extremely disappointed. Everywhere I went I told them what I wanted and theyd never listen. They were able to correct the damage done and make them look full. They now look like eyebrows and not uneven patches. Everyone is super friendly and make you feel confident about yourself. RACHEL is the best!

Shes a small business owner, so please support her!!Original Post: I went on Saturday to get a Brazilian Wax. I had been waxing my bikini line at home for months, so I understand how to wax. When I went in, I told the waxer this was the first time Id had a full Brazilian and asked her to explain the process. She told me to lay down and then befan putting wax all over, with no explanation. The wax was too hot. When she pulled the wax, she wasnt holding my skin taut. I could tell that the skin was potentially ripping from how it felt when she pulled the wax off. I didnt say anything at the time since I thought maybe I just wasnt used to it yet. Needless to say, I have bruising and there is still a ton of hair left. I even asked her before she started off if she was going to trim the hair to a good length, and she said no. The hair that is left is long or broken off. I really wanted to like this place, but the fact the waxer didnt explain the process, didnt hold the skin tight enough and didnt trim the hair before waxing makes me feel there needs to be more training. I expect better if Im spending $45 before tip.

Kelcie is a goddess!!! Always making my blonde and basically non existent brows POP! We darken and thread them. She also introduced me to dermaplane which has helping the eczema on my face so much! These ladies are nothing short of kind and professional. Highly recommend.

I have really enjoyed both sugaring appointments I’ve had at Brazilian Wax and Spa. The estheticians are skilled, patient, and very thorough. The facility is very bright and tidy with a cute glam-themed waiting room. Despite the ultra-bright rooms (which highlight everything on your body - so they definitely won’t miss any stray hairs!) I felt totally comfortable and at ease during both appointments thanks to the warm and friendly atmosphere. Rachel is amazing and so fun and nice! She makes the experience so much better. Also Kelsey is great too and highly recommend her as well. I won’t go anywhere else in Pittsburgh for a wax!

I brought my sister here for a birthday treat of getting her eyebrows waxed. There had been a little confusion with appointment scheduling online but the staff handled it excellently & we would have never known if they didnt tell us. Our waxer was great & my sister enjoyed her gift. Thanks ladies!
