Additional touches for a reasonable priceI had a great haircut and wash with Paul at this newly opened location. They are modern with a touch of class, yet friendly. There is a nice selection of amenities that come together with your haircut that make the reasonable price of value. Definitely worth checking out!

Great haircut experience. They offer a free drink (water or soda), a complementary shoe shine (if you request one) and a haircut that includes shampooing. The stylists are most likely not barbers -- they seemed more like cosmetologists in my opinion. They didnt seem to have the same confidence or comfort around the clippers as I have experienced at barber shops. The haircut was still great though. It was a great experience overall. They also have a referral program where you can get discounts on future visits.

I had an excellent first experience at Hair Saloon. The haircut by the manager Khari was excellent. The staff were all friendly. It was very convenient to get my shoes shined the day before my work trip, which was complimentary with the haircut.I found the experience to be better than a salon, and it was a much better value. I will be a return customer.

The first time I went to Hair Saloon, I made an appointment for a head shave. It went just fine with a small nick on my forehead, which was fine.The second time I went, however, the amount of cutting was egregious. I made a second appointment for a head and face shave. Throughout the head shave, my barber powered through, cutting me in very noticeable lines on the sides, the top of my head, and several large nicks around the tops of my ears. When he shaved my face, he cut me very badly on the left side side of my chin and on the right side of my neck. Not to mention leaving razor burn across the bottom of my neck. Which in my 10+ years of shaving my face I have never done when shaving myself. I left with a paper towel trying to blot the blood before it clotted and got onto my clothes.After the shave, and after it was apparent I had been cut several times, he did tell me my scalp was irritated and tight and that I needed to wait at least a week before trying a shave again. But the amount of cutting he did on my scalp (and especially on my face) was unacceptable for a service I paid 40+ dollars for (not including tip). I did tip after the fact, but I wanted to leave this review to reflect how disappointed I am. I have done my own shaving (face and head) with minimal, if no, cutting, and I expected that a high-end place would be able to handle a straight razor properly.Hair Saloon, if you want to continue to hold your high-end image, I’d ask you give services that don’t look like I handed my four-year-old cousin a razor and told him to go to town. I am embarrassed to go to work tomorrow looking like this, and I am happy to provide photo evidence of the cutting that occurred. I am going to wait a week per the barber’s advice, but I likely will not be returning to your establishment.

I have been visiting this place since they opened in winter last year. I was lured in by the free beverage and shoe shine, but the service keeps bringing me back. For the area and service provided, they are decently priced.Arnez - He’s very quite at first but professional. Goes about his work in a no non-sense business. It’s been more than 6 months now, but his notes are impeccable. Top quality haircut and service every time. 👏🏽

If your looking for a nice place to get a great hair cut look no more. I was in and out and got a free shoe shine. Matt was excellent and gave me a very thorough consultation and executed! Also worth mention is all the surrounding business around this location take the family with you, get your hair cut and let them grab a milkshake at the milkshake factory.

The Manager was awesome!!! My son and I went in and everyone made us feel extremely welcomed and like we had been friends for years. Great people that work there even played checkers with my son we will definitely be back!!

This place is great! This place was new to me but I had wonderful service from the moment I walked in the door!My man Khari hooked me up with a fresh cut and a nice style. Everyone in the building was friendly and warm. Also their online scheduling makes it VERY EASY! 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

I tried out Hair Saloon a twice when they first opened, and it was a poor experience both times. The atmosphere is supposed to be cool but the location and staff do not meet the price point they’re charging. It is one of the most expensive haircuts in the east side but with the worst experience. Try out any of the shops in Lawrenceville or Bloomfield before coming here.

Place and the people are super nice. But I left after 30 minutes of waiting beyond my scheduled appointment time. They did chase me down outside and apologize and the manager also gave me a call to apologize And invited me to return for free next time.

Cant say enough good things about this place. Currently received one of the worst haircuts ever (elsewhere), and am also leaving tomorrow for a business trip. I happened to see Hair Saloon while sitting at a traffic, so I called to see if they could fit me and explained my situation. Not only did they get me in right away between two other appointments, but I came out with one of the best haircuts ever. For sure will be going back as a regular.

First visit of many today. Fun environment and very friendly staff, Hair Saloon has the charming look and feel of old-timey barber shops. Opted to get the Executive and Beard Trim as a treat for myself, but I suspect the Classic is more than sufficient. Arnez did fantastic work, and was fun to chat with while he worked on my hair. Definitely worth stopping in to check out, though if you live in the area this will easily become your new go-to place for haircuts.

Moved to Pittsburgh 1.5 years ago and have been looking for a new barber shop. Tried out Hair Saloon and very happy with their service. It’s a lounge style barber shop franchise with amenities such as complimentary shoe shine services. While a St. Louis based chain, it has a very homey local feel and the staff are great. Khari cut my hair and I’ll be scheduling haircuts with him from now on.

Happy with my haircut, but the scalp massage wasnt what I was expecting - just a few minutes of a tonic being rubbed into my dry hair. And the back massage was nothing more than a vibrating hand tool for a few minutes. Go for the haircut, but skip the extra services.

Had a few good haircuts here, but I was snubbed on my latest appointment. I showed up for a scheduled 5:20pm cut and was told my barber left earlier that day, but they couldnt give me someone else because it was too close to their 6pm closing time. No email, text, or call was made to inform me of the cancellation and save me a drive across town during rush hour traffic. Wont be going back.

Went to HairSaloon tonight after work to get a clean up cause I was looking very shaggy for my standards and hands down had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a barber shop. Very professional and they treat you like a king! Just the pampering I needed after a long day at work. Definitely will be back!

This is a horrible place. Not recommended at all! These people are not professional at all. I understand now why when I called to make my appointment they had lots of openings since when I got to the Hair Saloon nobody was there. Be careful! These guys don’t have clients. If you want to ruin your day, go to the Hair Saloon in East Liberty. One star is too much for these people.

Needed a touch up before an event and my usual barber was out of town. Found these guys -- I was in and out with a great fade, fast. It can be a bit nerve wracking to be a lady shopping for a mens cut in PGH, but Hair Saloon had an awesome, chill atmosphere & Khari was great.

Great staff; very helpful and accommodating! Also provided good restaurants as we are visitors to the area.

Husband came home with a hole chopped in the side of his hair, a ledge across the back, and on one side they cut it short up to far and tried to cover it up by leaving a long piece hanging over top. On top of that they cut his chin using the straight razor and had the nerve to charge him 2/3’s of the price and act like they were doing him a favor taking $10 off. Like there’s price on your face? Wish I could post pictures.

He did my fade and edge up so good and sharp I told him what I wanted and said it only one time and he gave me exactly what I wanted, other than that... the service is really nice they give u hot towels and mints and offer scalp massages?! Your average hair saloon. This is like an undercover Supercuts offering some extra amenities. Fine if you don’t mind the average service/cut you can find at Supercuts. Personally, I prefer the barbers you can find around Pittsburgh.

Khari is perhaps the most friendly and best barber Ive ever had the pleasure of experiancing. Ive been getting my head shaved professionally for ten years once a month, and he has been the first barber to not nick my head at least once. Very professional and friendly staff.

Very friendly and professional atmosphere, was nervous using a new barber but it was a great experience overall.

Dont bother with online reservation. When I showed up ten minutes early for my reservation, they told me they could not see me for over an hour. When I asked what was the point of making a reservation, the receptionist replied that it was not her job. So I told them Id try again another day, and left. They called me about 15 minutes later wondering if I was going to show up for my appointment.

Had a great experience, the hot towel and the mint was the best. Will definitely recommend my friends.

Amazing salon and they treat you like royalty, it might be a little more expensive then your usual salon but they pad the haircut with multiple complimentary things that would be extra in other salons.

Had to go somewhere else to get my hair fixed after going here. Dont recommend.
