I would like to say Kefalos & Associates have been, hands down, the very best rental management company Ive had in my 6 years of Pittsburgh living. Ive had 4 total. Mozart is THE WORST.As for Kefalos, the office employees are always very pleasant and helpful. They will tend to your issues in a timely manner, respectively. Very flexible and lenient. All winter long our sidewalk/porch was shoveled and salted. Their pet policy (depending on property) is very lenient. Rental prices are the best I found for the neighborhood after extensive searches and go sees. Overall, Im extremely satisfied with my house apartment unit and plan on staying long-term. ~~~UPDATE~~~So now I have been here for almost two years this August, and I can say for the most part, things are better. I was able to work with the owner who helped workout a plan with me to allow me to continue to live here as I was impacted by COVID-19. If it were not for him, I would be homeless, and I expressed my thank you to him for that. All other things still stand; the property I occupy seems to be slowly falling apart, and certain things seem too small to contact them over as historically, it takes a while to have these matters handled. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s easier to fix or resolve these things myself instead of contacting the office, just in the interest of time and hassle. Overall, I have enjoyed my stay here at this property with the exception of the aforementioned, and I intend to stay for another year or so.~~~UPDATE~~~I have a bit more time under my belt at my apartment so I figured an update would be worth something. I have raised more issues with KARE as well as requested updates on some much older ones that are yet to be resolved; However, I am either met with radio silence or one sentence responses. From my understanding, KARE representatives are responsible for a certain number of tenants, and I just happen to get assigned one who cares less for their own. I am not going to reference them out of respect, but I do seriously hope KARE takes a closer look at who is representing their company and philosophy, because my experience has been nothing but a disappointment. I decided to change me 2-star rating to a 1-star rating. Please do your research before signing with KARE.~~~UPDATE~~~More or less a shaky experience so far. I have had a good amount of issues since Ive moved in. Some have been addressed, and some have been ignored or ruled as not their issue. Kefalos is quick to respond which is nice, but sending someone out fix it is a different story and can take weeks to months. I understand once they pass the bill off, it may not be in their control, but any form of follow up or information at all is appreciated, something they fail to do. In my opinion, this is your typical Real Estate agency. Nothing too bad, but nothing good either. I have had my fair share of terrible landlords and real estate agencies, and KARE falls somewhere near the lower end of the spectrum. Would recommend doing your research on properties owned by them before you sign.

I originally started renting from this company when I moved in with my girlfriend. We had a cute little apartment until Construction on the street made rats come in. When trapping and repairing holes didnt work, Kefalos offered us other properties that they managed, and also waived the deposit and prorated are first months rent. At the new spot everything was pretty good. We had a racist neighbor who also was renting from the same company when he got out of control kefalos gave us one month of free rent and one month for the neighbors to move out. They have been a blessing to my family. I rented from them for 6 years and my wife for 14. I reccomend to any & everyone!

We are renting our house while on sebatical in Europe. Very disappointed with them. Feedback is slow or non existent. Took over 6 months to get payment from them from the rental. Took them over 6 months to find a renter and then they had lowered the asking monthly price without telling us.
