Al & I, mainly, Al, researched and had about 12 different HVAC companies over to our home for estimates on HVAC units (furnace and a/c). Johns estimate was very fair, in fact it was one of the lower estimates, the equipment he was offering (Amana) was quality with a tremendous warranty, and Johns reputation for his knowledge of the product and his workmanship is excellent within the community. The work was done timely; the crew was polite and clean. We had one issue that John resolved quickly and favorably. John is detailed, skilled, competent and reliable. I had a mystery leak on a Sunday morning coming from the light fixture in my kitchen - in a 90 year old house. I called another service and they were unable to find the source on Sunday. Monday morning, I called John Wilcox and they sent Ryan out within 2 hours to investigate. He did a great job finding the source of the leak and coming up with a solution that caused the least amount of tear up and replacement. He also did a great job explaining the process along the way, offering me options, and cleaning up the debris from the repair. Am keeping their number on speed dial for when I, inevitably, need them again!

Wilcox plumbing was terrific! Turns out we needed a new furnace and air conditioning unit. It is sometimes easy to feel overwhelmed when something goes wrong with your plumbing. I own an old townhouse that has some quirks, to say the least. I would 100% recommend John Wilcox. They were easy to schedule an appointment with and provided regular communications (appt confirmations, calls/texts when heading to your residence, invoices and receipts, etc). The were on-time for the appointment, and were extremely professional, courteous, and clean. They kept me in the loop during their visit, and always asked before installing something that would cost extra. We used them for a natural gas boiler service and hot water tank installation. I would recommend them to anyone I know, and will definitely be using them again when the time comes. Fantastic work. We had the simple job of replacing a single toilet. Ben did his work patiently and conscientiously. He was willing to teach me as well. He was well prepared, set everything out so no time was wasted yet he did everything efficiently. I would be calling them back for any other work I may need keeping in my mind the caveats of their pricing.The price for the work was a lot steeper than I anticipated. The reason given was that the toilet I purchased on my own was a high-end toilet, yet it was installed as easily as any other (I watched and learned from Ben the whole time and knew how a toilet is installed from friends and online videos - I just wanted to watch a pro do it first).Edit: The business ownership was very apologetic for the price miscommunication both when I called in confusion initially and when they called back confirming a partial refund. Mike & Ryan came out to replace sections of my copper plumbing, which had sprouted pinhole leaks and to add a shut off valve. They were quick, approachable, professional and polite!
