After realizing our AC wasnt working about 11am, we called Metro. The technician arrived around 1pmdiagnosed the problem and put in the new part. Jeff the tech was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly.Weve used Metro before and continue to be pleased with their service. We definitely recommend them.

Metro installed a replacement air conditioner for our landlord last week. They were extremely professional beginning with their sales rep that came to our home to provide an assessment. The scheduler actually moved the install ahead by 5 days. The installers were very efficient and cleaned up everything. There was nothing left behind and the install was nicely done. We thank them.

A serviceman from Metro recently came to my 90 year old mothers house as they have done twice a year for 20+ years to check her system and told her that her air conditioning needed replaced and that it would cost $10,000.00! I have had a new Trane furnace and air conditioner replaced in a house twice the size of hers for a hell of a lot less!Metro must be like so many other companies in this field that pray on the elderly to take advantage of them!That is sad.Oh! and for the record, I had the company that I use, do a service call to her house and was told that the units were in great condition and there was no reason at all to believe they would need replaced any time soon.Obviously we will never again use Metro Heating and Cooling.

Metro responded quickly when my boiler went out (within 2 hours) and the technician, Jeff, was knowledgeable and explained as he went on the repair. The price was fair and I was overall satisfied with the experience. Would recommend to others.

We would have been a new customer. The home we purchased had their sticker on the boiler furnace, so I scheduled a furnace check up for $104. The technician arrived on time and was nice, but he was here 37 minutes and basically swept some crumbs out of my boiler. He didn’t check the thermostat or how the furnace was heating each room. He only adjusted one of the upstairs radiators, saying it governed the rest. He told me I needed a new expansion tank, which I figured, and I’d scheduled to have them come out in a couple weeks. but he also did not see the severity of the condition of the expansion tank, which is why I had called them in the first place. Within a week of the check up the expansion tank had water pouring out of it and I was down there at 4 am bailing out a bucket. I called twice and Mitch did not return my call. I had to call another firm who came out immediately and replaced the expansion tank (which was completely rusted through) and they told me my upstairs radiators were air locked. After the other firm was here our furnace worked great and it was warm.I don’t know how Metro’s actual work is, but based on this experience I would not hire them. I wasted $104.

We have used Metro Heating and Cooling through their annual service agreement for over 10 years with exemplary service. We had our furnace fan fail during the coldest days of the year so far. We wanted to replace our 19 year old furnace and called Metro. They sent Josh, a sales representative, the same day to discuss our options. After we decided on a Carrier unit, Mitchel, the scheduler, and Josh worked to get our unit scheduled for installation ASAP. We had the unit installed after only 2 days. Brandon, the technician, and Josh completed the installation and explained the instructions for both the thermostat and the furnace. This company is very customer orientated. We highly recommend Metro Heating and Cooling for your repair and installation needs.

In 2018, Metro installed AC in my attic to push air down into the 2nd floor of my house. They did an excellent job in every way - reasonable price, fast service, professional & very clean. The job entailed cutting holes & installing registers in each rooms ceiling, installing a cold-air return in the hall ceiling, ductwork to all, adding thermostat & setting new condenser on a pad next to existing unit outside. In January 2021, they added a heat kit to the attic unit because the furnace/ductwork simply couldnt push enough heat to the 2nd floor. This job inc. installing an upgraded thermostat & new breakers. Unbelievable service, thanks to Josh, Tyler and Jake! I called on a Wed afternoon, Josh called me on Thu morning, stopped over to look at the job on Mon morning & by 10am on Tuesday, the work was done! They were professional, friendly, clean, fast and efficient - my upstairs is toasty warm! I highly recommend Metro - theres no need to be too hot or too cold in your home, give these guys a call!

I have had Metro work on my oil furnace a few times and they get someone out quickly to get everything back up and running. Had two mini-split units installed this spring and everything went off without a hitch. Prices are on par or at the lower end compared to other companies in my experience and the sales manager they send for quotes helps plan things out better than other companies Ive worked with.

Although we could notuse their service due to timing, I was very satisfied with their response time to my questions. I will call them if needed in the future.

Brady was great. We needed our old central air conditioner replaced quickly, and he came right out and examined our existing setup, and gave us options moving forward. Our new system is working well and we couldnt be happier.

We are making repairs at our late aunts house in preparation for selling. We had metro inspect & service the boiler & purge 2 upstairs radiators. The serviceman Kevin was excellent. He put covers on his work shoes & was very neat. What we most appreciated though. . There was a very bad hammering in the water pipes. Although not a plumber, he suggested that the problem was a bad regulator. He even called his boss to get his thoughts & he agreed. We were able to get a plumber that day & replace the regulator. That solved it! Talk about above & beyond! We HIGHLY recommend Metro. They were dependable, helpful & the price was reasonable!

We have been using Metro for our hot water boiler system and air conditioning since the 1980s and only have experienced excellent and timely services from Metro. On this Tuesday our boiler started to leak and Metro very promptly diagnosed the issue and immediately did the repair which was extensive though Metros promptness minimized the time we were without heat on a cold winter day. Our home warranty provider could not get anyone out and the phone calls we made were not returned or the tech would not take the job. Then we found Metro. They sent out a message to the on-call technician and he called us promptly and said he was on his way. Within the hour Dr. John the Furnace Physician showed up, got to work and diagnosed the issue. It had snowed, it was freezing inside and out plus the roads were bad. John got here quickly went out for the part needed got back and got our heat going. Not Sure How to Review. I asked him to come out for a quote for a new boiler, which he did as scheduled. He pushed me towards the higher efficiency boilers vs the standard 82-84% efficient boilers. I listened to what he had to say and was considering going with it...if he had actually given me a price. He didnt have any business cards with him or any way to leave a written quote. That seemed odd to me because every other contractor I had in left me a price in writing before they left. He did have my email address, which he verified before leaving, and said he would send me an email with the numbers. As of today, I havent heard anything from him. He came last week. Im not sure if he just assumed I wasnt really going to buy anything, or if he just forgot about me. Either way, I had another contractor scheduled the next day and he gave me a decent price on a new furnace that I decided to accept. Its installed and running.I really cant speak to the quality of his work as he never actually did any work for me. However if others are satisfied with him, I cant say otherwise. Im only posting my experience with this company. He seemed like a nice guy, but if he didnt want the business, a note would have been nice. Ill give him two stars because I have to give him something in order to post a review. Maybe I am just an outlier and normally, things go very smoothly for other customers.

My A/C stopped working on a 89 degree day. I made a cold call to Metro after using Google of heating/cooling places close to my Greentree home. I spoke to Patty, then to Mitch who explained $90 flat fee for diagnosis (no time limit), the tech can do many repairs with inventory on truck, fees vary--he gave me a few common issues/prices. They collect payment upon completion of work and can process pmt on site. Then he said he could have a tech there in 1/2 hour (this was on a Friday afternoon!). Tech arrived promptly (Kevin--very pleasant guy for a very hot day...) and replaced a starter switch (I think I have that right). It took him 20 min total, he processed pmt right at his truck---all in under 1/2 hour. . $215 total. I recommend Metro to anyone who appreciates professional friendly service at very fair prices. I couldnt be more satisfied....and I RARELY write a review, so that says something. Thanks guys! :)

We recently purchased a 3-story house with only window ACs. We contacted several heating and cooling companies, including Metro heating and cooling. Metro Heating and Cooling gave us the lowest price, while providing the exact same service as other companies.Brady and Mark took care of everything from permit application to final inspections. They are amazing! My boiler stopped working after a storm and my road was impassable, the tech parked down the bottom of the hill leading to my house and walked to my house. Fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. The owner even showed up to lend a hand and make sure the tech could get to our house and try to get it running! This is my first review on google. FYI, I can see the other review has same though with me. Their job is fine but They charged $330 for bleeding pressure tank(which is included annual check up) and changing a relief valve($13 ish you know?).

My furnace decided to stop working on the coldest day in a while, and it smelled like burning plastic or rubber. I called Metro Heating & Cooling up and they promptly sent someone over to take a look. Jeff was the technician who worked on my furnace. He was very nice and knowledgable, and also very dog friendly to my 2 dogs. He identified the problem almost instantly, and had a lot of knowledge to share on what he was doing. After replacing the part, everything was working smoothly. The pricing and speed was good. It was an all around great experience. Well, as far as having to get your furnace fixed goes. Clearly I would have rather been drinking piña coladas at the beach, but this is Pittsburgh.

We needed furnace repair on a late Saturday night. I went down a list and called at least 6 other companies with 24 service and NONE worked out (either no call back from the tech, or they cant come until AM, or they only service South Hills, etc)I wish I called Metro first! The dispatcher was friendly, the technician John called me back within MINUTES (

Did a great job with our HVAC installation except that there was a whistling noise coming from the humidifier. Brady worked out the problem with his technicians and had it promptly corrected. They made it right and made me a satisfied customer.

I called in the morning around 9 am of 6/8/2017 as a home owner asking for basic pricing and information on the company. The receptionist that answered the phone said many people would be involved in getting me the info and she would call me back. Three hours passed and I called around 12:30 pm wondering if she got the prices. When she answered I told her I called earlier asking for pricing and her tone was very displeasing. I have gone to school for HVAC/R and learned a lot about customer service. She did not have a friendly tone with me, instead she sounded like she wanted nothing to do with me as a possible customer. I had a feeling she was not going to call back, because she hung up the phone on me without saying Good-bye or Have a nice day/morning. Very rude. I do not know of their work performance, but I know I will not be using their company from my experience with just talking to the receptionist. Also she assumed I was calling from a Company, but I was not. I was calling for my personal information on Companies around the area.

Metro Heating & Cooling came to service our HVAC system in our rental property back in June. They were professional and were able to get us an appointment right away.
