We have been very pleased with Admiral. They installed our Furnace/Air Conditioner unit in 1996. Since then they have been very prompt in any maintenance or minor repairs. When it came to replace the unit this year they provided us with the information to choose the appropriate replacement and when we were ready for the replacement came out promptly replaced the system in half a day. The people who have provided the services have always been prompt and professional and would recommend them to anyone seeing HVAC services.

Our home is now 20 years old and in need of a new and improved HVAC unit. We chose Admiral to do the work. Scheduling was quick and easy, the installation was done by a team of professionals and the work area was left cleaner than when the installation was started. We have used Admiral Heating for years, and have recommended them to many people, all who have been very pleased. They have changed our boiler that was over 30 years old, and designed and engineered a system that uses our hot water from the new boiler (which is in the basement) which automatically pumps the hot water to our air handler which is in our attic, creating a forced air heating system, all controlled directly from the thermostat. The new system allows us to reduce the temperature in the house when traveling, and quickly heats the house, (using the forced air heat) as opposed to waiting several hours for the radiant heat system to warm the house. Couldn’t imagine a better solution! Outstanding and professional service from their entire team! They are truly the best contracting service we have ever dealt with!

I can’t say enough good about this company! When I moved to Pittsburgh in 2007 and purchased my house I started immediately having furnace problems. I didn’t know who to call, so I saw a commercial on tv for a horrible deceptive company that begins with a “G”. They told me I had a carbon monoxide leak, and shut my furnace down. Someone told the to call Admiral Heating. They came in my house, there was no carbon monoxide leak, it was a 50.00 fix. Company “G” wanted to install a whole new furnace unnecessarily. Since then they have installed a new furnace and new air conditioning unit. Always fair prices. Anytime I call for service, they are there the same day! Highly recommended!!

Cannot say enough about the responsiveness this company showed us when we needed them most. My husband was away on business and I woke up on a February morning to a freezing house. We have used Admiral HVAC for many years. When we put an addition onto our house they installed two furnaces, duct work, AC and a heated driveway. We have also used them for maintenance of our equipment.They are always prompt, courteous and professional. Any time we have had a problem (which has been very infrequent), they have come right away to fix it. I cant recommend them enough.

Dangerous, unethical - buyer beware. find a real pro & keep your family safe.Admiral installed new Lennox furnace without measuring for what size would be safe. Within first 2 years, it began leaking carbon monoxide - levels too low to set off our alarms, but high enough to cause serious harm (3 children). By the grace of angels we discovered the leak as almost became fatal.When Admiral came back, they guaranteed with 100% certainty that it was a cracked heat exchanger (which they later denied when it was convenient for them). They agreed (after an unprofessional argument) to replace the furnace (still under warranty) only with the exact same size furnace. Our home had all symptoms of oversizing (a known cause of cracked heat exchanger in a new furnace), so we were scared to replace it with the same furnace without first making sure it was safe for our home. Asked Admiral about the sizing, part-owner Brian glanced up at our basement ceiling & said, eh, looks ok. We asked them to do measurements according the Lennox manufacturer recommendation for safety. Admiral strangely refused, stating they will absolutely not be doing a load calculation. (Why??)Fast forward - We had an actual expert come to do the load calculation which confirmed that Admiral’s furnace was dangerously large for our home. Also strangely, the manufacturer Lennox offered Admiral a check for $4k to refund us for the death trap they sold us, but Admiral refused this, too.PA Lennox rep Chris Vicari preferred to do nothing in regards to ensuring the safety of families with Lennox products, his main concern was losing his commissions from Admiral.Throughout our experience, Admiral never once showed concern for our family, never once apologized, never asked if we were ok or any other questions of concern about our serious health issues from this, spoke condescendingly & insulting while we were scared going through crisis, were difficult at every step as we tried to make sure our family was safe with basic industry standard safety requests, reminded us repeatedly what a favor they were doing for us by doing the bare minimum that they could get away with, & were perfectly content to leave us high & dry with permanently injured children. They truly didnt care.I will never understand why they refused to do the right thing & just measure properly when given the 2nd chance to make sure we were safe. They felt fine reinstalling the same dangerously oversized furnace in a home with my 3 babies, without looking into a likely cause at a traumatized family’s request. It baffles me. This is not a difficult calculation... it is standard in HVAC. I am not HVAC & was able to do the load calculation myself without struggle... I ended up with the same number that the pros got. The owner acted like it was so hard to do, while at the same time condescendingly pointing out what an expert he was.Owner Steve Ubinger only believes that other men are worth his time & has no empathy... arguing, condescending the day after it was confirmed that I nearly lost my life & that my babies would need care for permanent injury... we were scared in crisis & looking to him to make sure we were safe - a chance to make this right, after the original lazy work that led to this life altering situation (because, theyre such experts they dont need to bother with those pesky safety standards - they can just eye it, as they explained.) Steve really said funny I’ve been in HVAC for 30 years & u have been researching for 2 days, heartless, much? (Steve, no one does better research than a worried mother).his son/partner Brian Ubinger acts like he knows everything, but is almost too incompetent to even have a conversation. Hes lucky his dad gave him a job because hed have trouble elsewhere with his attitude.These are NOT people you want near your family. Its money & pride over everything for them. Still waiting on that apology, Steve, & in case it ever occurred to you to ask how any of us are doing health wise, the answer is - not well. But I know you wont bother to ask.

There was no mess or bother. When they were finished it was if they had never been there EXCEPT that I had a new furnace and air conditioner.

I had an issue in the middle of the night and Googled 24 hr repair and Admiral came back with the highest reviews, and now I know why! I got a call back within 20min(remember this is at 3am Saturday)and spoke with Brian. He gave me some advice over the phone and said he would call me later in the morning. He did just that. Came over around 8am and knew instantly what was wrong. Had me running in 5 minutes! He didnt collect a dime at the time and gave some options on what to do come Monday since we couldnt get a part until then. He followed up first thing Monday. Former home owner - The technician showed up VERY shortly after I contacted my landlady this morning. I could tell it wasnt an easy diagnosis, but he totally hit the nail on the head! I will be phoning them tomorrow to make sure he gets credit for his excellent service!

Had a really good experience 2 years ago when I called with an AC problem and left a positive review on yelp. However over the winter I called because my blower motor had burnt up over night. I was pretty sure the blower motor was the issue prior to calling, but Im no pro. So after the tech diagnosed the blower motor was the problem he proceeded to give me a quote after acting as if this was a rare blower motor that he was going to have to drive across the country to get. After I asked for a parts and labor breakdown it was reviled to me that the blower motor cost was going to be $350, I had just priced them online for $100. this was a Friday after noon I called first thing in the morning and was not an emergency at all. $X- service call fine, $X-labor fine, $250 MARK UP ON A BLOWER MOTOR YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!!!! So I paid the service fee and sent him on his way. Being it was Friday I couldnt get the blower motor via mail order till Tuesday. So end of the day I was able to make some calls find a contractor that could get me the part very locally (like down the street, several in stock 3 if I remember correctly) for $150 and some change and install it myself in 10 min. Maybe it was just this tech thats trying to gouge customers, Im not sure but I do not recommend them for this reason. I have a current issue and searching for a new contractor reminded me of this experience,

I obtained several bids for the replacement of a 35 year old furnace in a house I recently purchased, and Admiral had the lower price on what I feel is a superior product in the Lennox Merit Series.They installed a 93% efficiency gas furnace and a 13- SEER AC unit. Their team did a GREAT job- there were 4 or 5 technicians who made quick work of the removal and new install. They completed the job in under 4 hours, the work was very professional, and they cleaned up after the job as if they had never even been there.We are very happy with our new system and the professional installation performed by Admiral!

I was so pleased with this company after my experience with another well known heating and cooling company. Each person was courteous and the technicians were very professional. I had 2 Lennox furnaces installed on each side of a duplex on the same day. Their price was fantastic and I couldnt be happier with this company. They even had to move some things for me to get to the old furnace and they did it with a smile. I would highly recommend Admiral Heating anytime.

Everything about the installation was great. They did little extras that I would never expected. The new plenum they installed greatly improved airflow from old furnace. All rooms now are approx. the same temperature where before I had to have fans blow cool air at the bottom of the steps to the upstairs, Steve and all his workers are a great bunch of guys. Highly recommend. The Lennox furnace is a big improvement over the one it replaced.

I would highly recommend Admiral, after reviewing my house they recommended a furnace and air-conditioner system that would work most efficiently in my house. The technicians instillation blended very well with my existing duct work. Upon completion they left the area clean and were very helpful explaining the operation and maintenance.

Admiral installed two new furnaces in my home. They were very professional, neat and courteous. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

The customer service rep that called had an attitude that was so obvious the person next to me was laughing. Then mid-sentence she hung up on me like a salty, teenage girlfriend. Successfully recharged my unit today, but didnt determine the source of the leak. Rick was very friendly and professional. My only complaint is that they do NOT take credit cards. Now, we are having to go out of our way to get a check and deliver it to the business. Had anyone told me ahead of time, this would be a nonissue. Other HVAC companies take plastic. What gives?

I had the AC go out in 95* weather. Called in the morning they showed up that afternoon. Fixed my problem and charged me a fair price. They were also very nice to my girlfriend who was at the house at the time. I would recommend them to anybody who needs AC repair services.

I called Admiral and left a message for one of their estimators, or whomever could possibly quote a new HVAC unit for my company building. No one ever called me back, so I had to call again and when I tried to explain that my General Contracting building needed a new HVAC unit, and that we did not want to sub contract them out I was cut short. I was told simply Not interested and then hung up on.

Arrived home late on Sat nite after and 11 hour drive from week at the beach to find my AC not working and house at 90 degrees. I called Admiral on Sunday morning with a blower motor problem for my AC during Great Pittsburgh Heat Wave of July 2012. Brian arrived in an hour. He tested and tried all possible solutions before determining with out a doubt that the motor needed to be replaced and the problem would be solved. He was right. $125 service call, $186 motor, $35 capacitor, $160 labor for two SOLID hours of actual work ($80/per). $506 out the door. Worth every penny! System is running like a top...VERY VERY HAPPY.

AC went out on Labor day. I called at 7:20 and by 11:20 had a technician show up and restore service. I rarely bother to leave reviews but this one deserved it.

After 2 calls to dispatch, and over an hour of waiting for a call from the technician, the tech calls me back and says that they only service South Hills!If youre in need of 24hr furnace repair and are not in the South Hills, dont bother!!
