This salon is incredible! I moved to Phoenix from the Northeast and was really nervous about finding a spot that can properly handle my long thick hair. I have been to this salon twice now and I am beyond impressed with the cleanliness, the vibe, and the skills of the hairdressers. After having a bad highlighting experience with another local salon, I came to Salon DShayn to help correct the aftermath from the previous salon. Candice SAVED my hair! Candice took all the time needed during the consult to determine the right game plan to correct the bad hair color stripping and cover up from the other salon. I decided to go ahead and get my hair cut, and she NAILED the cut from a couple of photos that we reviewed together. Her demeanor was to make sure I was comfortable with all of the steps, and I never felt rushed. I have been seeing Candis since I moved to Arizona, 6 years ago, and she has been the best. Even though the location is not that close to me, I chose to follow her as I love what she does with my hair, and is open to my wanting to try new things. She has cut my hair when it was pixie length, she now gets to play with my hair now that it is past my shoulders. For the past 6 years I have been brunette, and just the other day we did some fashion color in my hair (I now have purple, dark blue, and electric blue) and the result was simply amazing. Probably the best thing I appreciate about Candis is her willingness to show me how to style my hair, my one downfall for having been raised my a father, who knew nothing about hair outside of washing it. She has never spoken down to me for my shortcomings, and is always proactive in letting me know about a product that may help me in styling, be it a blow dryer or gel.Finally, the location of this salon is in such a great location, just by the Heard Museum and a load of restaurants and coffee shops. All of the employees are so welcoming and outgoing, you feel as if you are among a group of your close friends even though you just met. So glad to have Candis, and Salon DShayn, in my life!

This was my first time with a new stylist in about 6 years. I have long hair and am pretty nervous most of the time with new people cutting my hair. Candis was awesome! She did a GREAT job explaining what she would do before hand to make me comfortable and did a fantastic job coloring and cutting my VERY long hair! Candis had been doing mine and my daughters hair for a while a few years ago and life got busy, it was hard for me to make the trip across town to see her. I have been getting my haircut by Bret here for several years. The salon is always spotless and well managed. The online booking is a godsend. When you cant make an arrangement they will refer you to someone equally talented in the salon. They have done a great job though covid impacts and deserve to be recognized for that also.

By far Salon DShayn is an exceptional salon. Bao is a great cutter/stylist. Perfection is his middle name. Have gone to him for many years following him from the Scottsdale location to the downtown Phoenix location (now although the drive is a tad too far). DLisa is a professional and does so much to maintain her salon and personnel too highest standards. I highly recommend this Salon if your looking for professional and knowledgeable individuals.

They do great haircuts and styling and before the haircut they wash your hair and give an amazing scalp massage. Just remember your getting talented Professional Service. If I was rich I’d give it a five star . Gave it a four star because they are pricey and unfortunately I couldn’t afford to do a cut and color on my hair. I was lucky however to get a same day appointment so when calling them be sure to leave a message if you get there voicemail- They Do Return Your Call . For me they returned my call within 1 hour.

I randomly found this Salon on google and I am so glad that I did. They took me in on a Sunday as a walk in and am extremely happy with my new hair. Bao was my stylist and I will be coming back to him for sure. The place is very cute, chic, modern and most important CLEAN! Everyone is very friendly and they even have a complimentary snack bar that has coffee and tea (the good kind)

Sorry to say but this beauty salon has to be the worst experience I have had. I left the salon in shock and devastated by my experience. I was interested in minimal highlights, as soon as the hairstylist Kristen saw my length of hair she began to try and discourage me from even trying to lighten my hair. I still requested a test strand, after 25 minutes of having supposed “bleach” in my hair there was no difference. I truly believe that the stylist didn’t even put bleach in my hair, just to avoid having to do the work. I have tried test strands at home and have been able to achieve almost white hair. After being disappointed with the possibility of coloring my hair by a PROFESSIONAL I decided to get a trim and blow dry. The hairstylist was very unfriendly and at times rough with my hair. During the blow dry she was clearly frustrated with my length of hair and had no problem showing me her frustration. I was treated as if didn’t have the money to pay. As soon as she was done blow drying my hair she just threw my hair to one side didn’t bother to brush it, put some finishing product on it, or verify that the length was even everywhere instead she quickly asked for payment. She was in a huge rush to get me out. I felt so horribly uncomfortable. This was the first time in my life I had finally decided to color my hair, it’s very unfortunate for Kristen, if she only would have known I would have paid her ANYTHING she asked for and would have tipped her handsomely if she would have had the patience to color my hair. If your hair is longer than your shoulders DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND TRUST THESE PEOPLE, they don’t want anyone with long or dark colored hair for their clients.

A friend and I had an appointment for a Brazillian Wax on a Thursday afternoon. This would be the 1st wax for both of us. We arrived at 12pm for the 1st appointment. Once in the waxing room, I was told that the hair was not long enough to wax. When originally booking the appointment, I was told to let the hair grow for 5 days. So, I went 7 days just to be sure. The owner informed me that the usual time period is 10-14 days. I told her the name of the associate who gave me the wrong information. Once I got to the front, she told me she spoke with the associate. I was told that the associate denied giving the information that was given to me. So, basically, she was calling me a liar. It was very unfortunate that I was given incorrect information, got a babysitter and paid a babysitter and was not able to have the services done. I would have scheduled myself out another week had I been informed correctly. It was a wasted day and wasted money. Please train your employees on proper time frames and information to give to new customers. It would save a headache and a poor review.

I decided to grow my hair out long a few years ago and realized I am not long hair savy, so I had to find a salon to help tame my mane. Salon D Shayn not only helped me not have huge 80s hair but they have helped me keep it looking healthy. I am one of those guys that tries to get in last minute so I have seen Lydia, Vanessa and Bret. It doesnt matter who I see they are all great.

Well, I wouldnt know how great their services are supposed to be in accordance with the reviewers, but in the area of being proactive in communication, its a straight fail!!! Google shows the salon being open for business on Sunday, so I called several times prior to taking a LYFT to get there, figured wow they must be really busy, they cant get to the phone.I just needed to get a manicure, since my schedule was tight and I didnt have much time in PHX to scout around, figured maybe they can squeeze me in before its too late.Well lo and behold, upon my arrival I see 2 ladies, each styling the only 2 customers in the salon. They were not overburdened with a ton of customers, so why couldnt the phone be answered for business???? Which in turn would have saved me an unnecessary LYFT ride to the salon, just to be informed that their nail technician was not in today!Business 101(small or otherwise), Answer Your Phone When It Rings! ☎📞🔊

I Indecisively showed her pixie cuts from my Iphone, using descriptions like artsy-bohemian, and just make me look taller and prettier. Incredible is an under statement. This women does hair Miracles. She also fixed my other friends hair when she decided blonde at midnight was a good idea.
