I reached out to Pam about a month ago. First impression was she was very caring and serious about getting me into shape. I was very nervous to come in, as I have never worked with a trainer before. She made me feel super comfortable and like she actually cared about me. She cares about every single one of her clients, and you can feel that great energy right when you walk into her gym. Even though i’m only a month into it, i’m already seeing a dramatic change in my health and strength. The gym is very clean and she plays the best hype music! I am so thankful to have found this place and could not recommend it enough!
I recently started working out with Pamela, at first I was skeptical because I didnt know her any one who went there. I went off some reviews about her that I saw online. Prior to working with her, I was in so much pain. I tried physical therapy and other means of managing pain, but nothing worked. It has only been two months since I started working out with her and the pain have significantly decrease and there is a noticeable change in my body composition. Pam as a person is very positive, and working out with her is always a blast. She is very flexible when it comes to financial arrangement, which is convenient for me since I am a broke college student.
Gym is clean with small group sessions. Always felt welcomed no matter what fitness level I was at. Pamela worked with me and customized my workouts. In 3 months I went from my knee swelling to being able to do lunges independently and most of all correctly. I recommend this gym to anyone who is seriously wanting to see results! I just wish there was a Pamela Fitness in Minnesota :/

I came to Pam, for training, after gaining over 40 lbs and no exercise, in the last five years. I was tired all the time, no energy and had lots of body aches. At 56, I needed a change. Pam was exactly what I needed. The difference in 5 months is remarkable. Ive lost 20 lbs and have gained muscle. I am much stronger, have lots of energy and so happy with the way I feel. I can look at myself, in the mirror, again. Thanks to Pam. She is an amazing trainer and she knows exactly what is needed to get you to reach your goals. I have worked with Pam on and off for about 10 years and I can say she definitely is an excellent trainer. She listens to what your goals are, and then develops a program to help you reach those goals, making adjustments along the way. She will push you to work hard, but doesnt yell and scream at you to motivate you like some trainers do. The boot camps on Saturday morning are an enjoyable social time with a great work out too. I have been very pleased with Pam over the years!

Pam is a dynamic trainer who pays special attention to her clients’ individual needs and goals. It’s a fast-paced environment, focused on fitness, but we also have a lot of fun. Pam trains me and my mom. We have very different goals (me=bulk and muscle, mom=slimming). Pam is able to give us totally different work outs to reach each of our different goals. Its hard and we are sweaty at the end, but we really enjoying going. Wonderful trainer!
I worked out with Pam Young for almost 4 years. When my husband started going to Pam, I saw results on him really fast. I agreed to start going to weekly boot camps. It was such a fun time and my stamina and strength started to increase so well that I started going in 2-3 times a week for personal training as well.I was so impressed with Pams technique and personal attention to MY workout. She always shook up the sets and I quickly started to lose my fat. I didnt realize how much I had put on (my turtle shell of a belly) but progress pics dont lie! Finally about a year in she said to me, You know you dont have love handles anymore, right? I didnt realize, but she was right! Over the next 2 years we pushed and I got my body fat % down to 11! I couldnt believe it. And I still say to this day that I owe everything about my physique and workout ethic to Pam. I always thought my best physique was from my 20s. I have worked out with multiple trainers in the past 15 years and Pamela is excellent. I have had several different surgeries from shoulders to foot and a knee injury. She has helped to create a program that is safe and challenging to me and and is keenly aware when to change something up. You can feel safe and confident with her.

I have been working with Pam for approximately a year and I have nothing but great things to say about her!When I began with Pam, I was of a very, very low fitness level. She took the time to build a foundation so that I can do my workout in the right form and not injure myself. While I still have a long way to go, I am doing things I never thought Id do and I have built strength and endurance. She is excellent at walking you through the movements and making it clear what you should be doing. Shes even nice about it if you forget what youre doing halfway through. :)One unique thing about Pam is that she trains more than one person at a time. When she first told me this, I was unsure what I would think of it, but I have come to prefer it. You still get personal attention, but without the awkward staring contest Ive had with some previous trainers. She is great at checking in and giving feedback to everyone.She is good at encouraging me to push myself without being a Drill Sargent.I have had several personal trainers over the years, but Pam is the one Ive stuck with the longest. She has a variety of machines and makes sure your workouts are never stale and boring.If you are considering personal training, definitely check her out. I have enjoyed my year with her and look forward to continuing to work with her to meet my goals. :)

Ive been working out for years, but recently Ive been extremely busy with my new relationship and work that Ive gotten away from my normal routine. I hate gyms but totally recommend this one, with no hesitation!Ive been training with Pam for about 5 months. I signed up after seeing the results that my husband got - after a few months working out with her, he became visibly more muscular (hes approaching six-pack territory), and he had a big reduction in the back pain thats bothered him for years.I am also seeing changes in my body and the way I feel - Im noticeably stronger, and my posture is better. The gym itself is also great, not huge but everything you need is there. I really like the small group format (there are usually 2-4 people working out at the same time, each working on their own programs with Pams instruction). Its a great setup, because its cheaper than hiring a 1:1 trainer, but you still get the benefit of a totally individualized program.The clients are varying ages and abilities - some are complete newbies, some are serious athletes - but everyone is friendly and it never feels intimidating. The workouts are hard (WAY harder than what Id do alone) but Pams very attentive to any injuries or limitations, so I dont worry that Im going to hurt myself. Basically all I have to do is show up, do what she says, and see the results!

I have been a client of Pams for many years. She keeps the workouts interesting and fun. I would like to say that I have failed at having a Ryan Gosling body and would blame it on her, but alas, it is my own love of wine and cheeseburgers. BUT....Pam is always encouraging and will most likely keep me from having a heart attack at 50. Her gym is conveniently located, clean and bright. You can tell she loves what she does and that makes an impact on how she works.
I considered myself pretty knowledgeable in the gym until meeting with Pam. Based on just the little I told her about my previous routine and diet, she was able to quickly evaluate and implement a fitness plan that got me to a level I didnt think I could reach. Pams care for my recovery portion of my fitness plan has made me feel like she really cares about the people she trains and has given me a level of mobility that is amazing.

Pam is extremely knowledgable in exercise and mobility. She helped diagnose my hip problem and gave me prescriptive exercise and trigger release techniques that have helped me regain coordination and balance in my lifts. 5 stars!
At 54 I decided that my normal walking and gardening were not maintaining my tone anymore. I never went to a gym in my life before Pam. Her studio is clean and welcoming. She is very patient with newbies!

Training with Pam it the favorite part of my week. I trained with Pam for many years and when she moved further West at the same time when I moved further East to a condo with a gym next to me, I started with one on one personal trainers without the long commute. After a couple of years with my body degrading, I decided it was worth the long commute to return to training with Pam.Pam knows her stuff and is always thinking what is best for each client, mixing up workouts customized to each clients needs. Group training makes total sense as no one needs constant monitoring and counting of reps. Not only do you get just as good a workout at much more reasonable cost, but working out with others makes it great deal more fun!!!I feel bad for people who do not workout with Pam! Giver her a try!
Its amazing how life creeps up on you and you suddenly find yourself in a situation where youre out of shape to the point that you dont know how or what to do to get yourself out of the deep hole you dug for yourself. Thats where I found myself and I realized I needed help. A friend of mine recommended I meet with Pam for a free session. She helped me put a realistic plan together to help get me where I need to be and now were working that plan together. Shes motivating and patient and most importantly, she cares about her clients. The best thing about going to Pamela Young Fitness is that its FUN. Not only does Pam keep things interesting by mixing it up with different exercises, going to her gym is like working out with your friends - I actually look forward to showing up instead of dreading going to the gym. (I even get mad about it if Im running late because I want to get every single minute in!) Having scheduled sessions with Pam every week keeps me accountable and looking and feeling my best. She even offers help with diet and stretching to give you a well-rounded program that can help you achieve all of your goals.The difference between PYF and other trainers is that you can truly tell Pam cares about changing and strengthening your body, but also about protecting you from injury. She watches your form carefully to make sure youre not overdoing it and stays up on all of your aches and pains to make sure shes not stressing the wrong parts of your physique, all while targeting the areas you want to work on but also using her professional knowledge to shape your body the way it should be shaped.
