My favorite trainer of all time was treated poorly by the new manager of this facility. Due to the poor treatment, she gave her 2 week notice. This manager booted her today. I would have trained with this woman for years. Now I will be terminating training at this facility once I use up my credits. I am a healthcare professional with 40 years of experience. I will be writing a letter to the CEO, whom I hope is not as narcissistic as the manager!
Dont bother emailing them it does not help. Good luck canceling. Havent been to this place since covid started and been charged ever since even though Ive called and emailed and was assured they would freeze and help. Have to pay to cancel. All they want is there money.
I was a member of Youfit in 2012 but cancelled my membership after my personal trainer moved away. I didnt realize that this gym kept me on their roster charging me $20 per month for 9 years. What makes the situation worse is that they sold my information to another gun called crunch fitness who continued charging me for another 7 months.I tried to call to cancel and was told that I couldnt do this over the phone but needed to go in personI went there and was given an apology for the mistake but my only recourse was a years worth of membership from Crunch fitnessCrunch fitness said it was not their fault but I could go after Youfit for reimbursement. I tried to deal with Youfit, to no avail just the run around. Dead end emails and phone numbers. This has been so frustrating for me. Long ng story somewhat shortened, I feel violated and cheated. I dont think its fair. If I wanted to workout at a gym, it would be one of my choice. Not so far from my home. If anyone has had a similar experiences, I would like to know and if you were able to get a refund for stolen money, I would love to know how!
Favorite gym. Only one with cybex machines, great assortment of equipment and helpful staff.

Youfit is a fantastic gym. The trainers are so totally devoted and dedicated to planning a regime tailored to each persons needs and goals. Nikki and Dustin are fantastic as are all the other trainers. They are patient and let you work at a pace that is comfortable for you. The front desk employees are amazing. It is such a joy to enter the gym and be greeted with smiles and friendly faces. It is a pleasure to know employees like Kelsey, Heather, and Andy. They along with other desk workers really make members feel like they matter and are always their to help everyone. My husband and I are very happy with Youfit and truly enjoy being members.
Ive been a member on and off for the last 8 years or so. Theyre cheap so I didnt mind. I havent really gone the past year but didnt mind since their price point is worth the occasional drop in.Then I realized theyve been charging members throughout Covid. How did I realize that? They charged my yearly $40 fee the other day and when I searched my statement I realized theyve also been charging members the monthly fee when they werent even open, even after gyms were allowed to reopen they did not.I canceled my membership today with Kory up front who was clearly bothered by my presence (sorry to make you work while youre at work). She offered no explanation about the membership fees when I asked why they were charged. Then to top everything off they charged me $10 to cancel.So to be clear, theyve charged every month they were closed, charged the yearly $40 even though they werent open for half of the year, then charged me $10 to cancel. All during a pandemic. Im fortunate and not financially struggling but I cant say the same for their other members. Seems tone deaf at a time like this. Not to mention Ive come here on and off since 2012 or so. Im not a petty person and let things go but this was too much for me so I had to leave a review although Im well aware it means little to nothing. Heres to hoping Youfit doesnt make it through this pandemic. Cheers.
Love going to YouFit. Gym is always clean and all the members typically clean up after themselves unlike other gyms I’ve been to. People are respectful and staff is always friendly!

Ive been going here for about 5 years, now, so I obviously like it here.Everyone on the staff is friendly and welcoming.This gym is clean and keeps workout stations spaced apart, per COVID rules.I truly enjoy working out here and will continue to do so.
Its impossible to quit. I had to mail a letter twice after a week of searching and calling. Then the automatic payments stopped but I just received a email saying I have an outstanding debt.
Great place, has 2 squat racks and could use a third but its not always an issue. Clean and neat, with staff who are the appropriate amount of friendly for the position and not too gregarious, which health club employees sometimes can be. I recommended it to a friend just a day or two ago.

I talked to customer representative in thunderbird branch last year March that my account and my child account will be closed. After an year now, they stared ACH for annual fee with 40$. The branch is closed for more than couple of months now. Bethany location representative is saying I need to come their branch and sign the documents to close my account. Nice money making strategy.if people join hands and should take appropriate legal actions
Initially when COVID hit i was able to call and put my account on hold. After paying 2 months of the club being closed. They said once I felt ready to come back to call them and they would reinstate my account. Well they decided to reinstate it on their own terms and start charging me again and charge me an annual fee, mind you it wasnt open all year!After going in and requesting a manager 4 times I was told my request would be processed by a manager. I called a month later and was told it was approved and I would be getting me refund. This was late December.Called today to check on refund status and then was told Sorry its late for refunds.Liars! Lies. Your company is collecting funds, promising refunds, then changing their minds. This is absolutely the WORST customer service ever. Thanks for making life more stressful, as if the Pandemic wasnt enough!

This Youfit is clean and the workers are friendly, which are probably its only redeeming qualities. I came from Thunderbird/40th St which had many more amenities. This location is pretty bare bones as far as a gym goes. But that’s not even my biggest gripe. Who on earth chooses the music here?? I’m sorry but I can’t get motivated to work my hardest when Hello by Adele is playing, but that’s just one example of all the slow songs they play here. I feel like I’m at a high school dance every time I’m here: might as well cozy up next to the nearest buff guy and whisper sweet nothings in his ear.

You fit charged me multiple months while were in shutdown due to covid. They said they could not refund me my money so we agreed that i would use the remaining 3 months, I had already paid for and couldnt use due to shutdown, when they opened back up. We agreed that i had those 3 months left to use and that i was effectively canceling my membership and would not be changed anymore. Now I have noticed 3 new charges on my card in the last 3 months. Now the people at the office are telling me that I need to come in person to cancel my membership and sign off on it when I had already done that. They say there is no direct line to their corporate office and that I have to wait for them to send in mail to corporate to be approved to refund me my money which they illegally stole from me. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of professionalism concerning the management of this gym.
The location itself I like. It’s always been very clean and convenient before COVID. They’ve been accommodating so far with all the changes really. The company itself it frustrating with how corporate handled the shut down and minimal information and lack of communication with billing. I thankfully was able to stop payment and defer them until it reopened but it took honestly a couple hours and over a dozen phone calls.

Youfit is fully of friendly staff that care about being clean and sanitary. Whenever I come in, i am able to focus on my workouts because i have the peace of mind of seeing the staff actively walk around cleaning the equipment.
True, they kept taking monthly dues as well as yearly maintenance fee while closed with no possibility of contacting them about it. (You can search the internet for all the complaints.) But they are finally back open but now I cant go because they are not policing their own mask rules. People wearing the mask under their nose. Around their neck, etc. Lets not pretend to be doing what needs to be done to be safe. Lets do it. And to the jerks who dont want to follow the rules, work out at home.
Worst gym company i have ever had. They always charged me double the membership money every month. They told me that they will reimburse me all the money because that and for the months that were closed by COVID 19 and they never did. They close super early they dont have enough machines and the bathrooms are always dirty I dont know how theyre still open I dont recommend it at all
Good sized gym, lots of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Pre-COVID it used to be pretty full but now its mostly empty. Masks and towels are required. For the money its a solid gym.

You Fit deducted over $300 from my account after I cancelled my membership back in May of 2019. I became aware of this in Feb, 2020 and have been trying to get my money back since. I have been promised a refund by Patricia (manager), Shawn (fitness director), the GM at the Bethany Home location and Steven Letkowsky who is the district manager and so far have not received my refund. If anyone else is in a similar situation please write a review so that the public knows what a corrupt organization You Fit really is.
Since the youfit on 99th and Camelback closed Ill leave this here. They continued to charge while shut down and then moved memberships to crunch fitness. Ive tried calling this specific location and someone was kind enough to take my information so they could get back to me. And here we are a month later with no contact. Every response says to call 888-Youfit-1 but theres literally no way to get ahold of someone when you call. It just reroutes the call and eventually hangs up.
You Fit is great! The staff is very friendly, especially Clint. They have a large variety of equipment and the facility is clean. Im not a super fit person and I feel very comfortable and welcomed here by the staff and fellow gym-goers. The members are all very friendly and it has a diverse member base, so everyone feels included here!

They are impossible to get a hold of and Ive been trying for months, because I want to cancel my membership I havent used it in almost half a year now. The phone number they give out to call (888-Youfit-1) does not work ever. No matter what time of day you call, no one will ever pick up. Ive tried many, many times. Dont waste your time and just go somewhere else for your gym membership. As many others have commented in their reviews, they are basically ripping all of their customers off.

Do not trust this business. If you do give them a card to charge and keep on file give them a card you are prepared to cancel because canceling that card is going to be the only way to get them to stop charging you when you cancel.

It quickly moved to the awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here, they are eager to help and will take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun and you will love the diverse workout combinations. Last but not least the gym is always clean and everything is always stocked up for members to use their maintenance team is awesome! Check this gym out youll love it!💪

I have been attempting to cancel my membership for months, no one answers my cal or emails. My bank is currently attempting to block them from charging me more. Not only do they continue charging while being closed, but my payments have increased from 20 dollars, up to 25, and now they have charges me 30 dollars this month for absolutely no reason. I will never use this gym again.
Clean and friendly gym! Staff is there to help you if you have any questions and Youfit has a great variety of equipment that helps you vary your workout routine. They greet you with a smile and wish you a great workout. I appreciate this. Youfit has been my gym for over 5 years. The price is incredible so I tell myself there is no excuse to not go. :0)
Charged my account months during COVID-19 while the state /city wasnt full opened and just charged me $49 yearly fee. I told them I had tried to cancel IN PERSON like they require per their rules and they said I should have emailed. I cancelled today and they charged me another $10 cancelation fee. This should be illegal in addition to being u ethical business practice! I asked for manager or corporate contact and was told to visit the website. STAY AWAY FROM YOUFIT. Their TV never properly work. Headphone jacks always broke and trainers were over paid and under produced.
I really love this gym. It has everything you need to achieve optimal fitness and the personal trainers are the best I’ve ever worked with. I train with two different people and their skill sets and list of certifications are amazing. I love the focus on not just better energy and lower body fat but also the improvements in mobility and reduction of chronic pain. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.
I have been charged 3 months now that I cant use. I have already messaged their verified social media account, who had me email their support team, to which I replied with all of my information and they have not done anything except steal my money. Find a gym that has a working customer service team otherwise you may be wasting a lot of money.
The amenities at the location on 96th & Camelback were great, the price was cool but the entire gym is this hideous vomit green color and ‘Barney the dinosaur’ purple. Yeah just like Barney, he was green and purple. Lol. It’s SO ugly and disturbing. I can’t. Who thought that color scheme was a good idea. Get it together YouFit. It’s just hideous. 🤢😲😵🥴😖
I have struggled with UFit since I joined. They had a small location at Shea and 32nd which was in my neighborhood so I walked there. Then just a few months after joining they closed it so I had to go to the one on Thunderbird and 40th so now I had to drive, but it worked. Now they are still closed because the landlord put a lien against them at this location. No communication at all except that they were working with landlord to reopen. Nothing since. This location doesn’t even appear on Google Maps any more. The whole pandemic I have still been paying my monthly dues.I called corporate twice and hung up after being on hold too long. I sent corporate an email probably 2 months ago and no reply.Can someone tell me what to do to cancel my membership without penalty so I can move with another fitness center close to my home?I don’t want to drive to this location when I have several others that are closer.
I am so shocked by this gym!!! So I ended up leaving a gym closer to my house to come to this one on Bethany, (which is 30 minutes further from me) because of how amazing it is! The staff here is so awesome and always super amazing, but I really have to rave about the ops manager Francisco. I went and signed up with him and he was so optimistic and happy to help me that it encouraged me to drive the distance and make this my home gym! I even got a great deal on becoming a lime card member! So happy!!! Thank you Youfit and Francisco for making a believer out of me! Sign up for this gym guys you won’t regret it!

Highly dishonest business practices. They closed during the COVID pandemic and continued to bill my account. Refund? Contact corporate, which was ignored, went nowhere. Also, NO communications.NOTE: Just saw other reviews... They sound so caring, but youll get nothing but excuses and lies. Just go to Planet Fitness and youll be happy.At the same time, I had a membership at Planet Fitness. In contrast, they immediately froze billing and made frequently updates promoting free virtual exercise routines. Also, Planet Fitness is cleaner and better equipment. I wont miss YouFit.
Even prior to covid, ever since I started Ive been trying to downgrade my membership from the lime $20 to the standard $10. I talked to 2 people who supposedly downgraded my plan, but Im still paying the $20 even today. So I said, fine ok, take my $20 and just gave up.Now that Im trying to cancel my membership, you cant even call or access anything from their website. Its so stupid. I feel like getting ripped off hardcore. Do yourself a favor and dont sign up here.
This gym has been wonderful for me. I had a stroke a little over a year ago and am now back to my pre-stroke body strength thanks to the amazing facility and my trainer Dustin. They were patient with me and devised a program that was tailor made for me. I gradually gained my strength back and can’t thank You Fit enough. Although my trainer was Dustin, all the trainers are so great and very qualified. My wife also belongs to You Fit and works with Dustin to strengthen and tone her body. We go to the gym together and really love the environment and the staff. They are very helpful and friendly.
For a company that preaches customer service they sure do not know how to live up to their word. I have been getting charged dues since their closure without any sort of notice as to why and was never able to get a hold of anyone to stop these charges. If you are having the same issues, file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General. That was the only way someone got into contact with me to issue a refund and cancel my membership. Dont buy into their BS when they say that you have to go into the club in order to cancel. This company is full of it and doest care about taking your money. In my eyes, this is a fraudulent act and this company should be punished for it.

Had the free training session with Emily who was awesome and showed my husband and I some workouts we hadn’t tried before. She was encouraging and explained everything really well. Love this gym!*******I’m editing my review of this gym because of their shady business. They called my emergency contact number saying that I signed them up for a free trial. I was never told that they would be contacted for anything other than an emergency. I didn’t give them my family member’s phone number so they could spam them! It’s so disappointing. Be honest and come up with a real referral program!

The staff are super friendly and willing to help anytime I need assistance on any machines to make sure Im doing my workouts safely. The bathroom is kinda stinky but its because the air conditioning is focused on the workout area and there isnt much air flow in the locker area. Otherwise its very clean and tidy.
This is a really great healthy club with some characters working the front counter. Many of the workers here seem very eager to engage customers in conversations. The equipment in this gym is decent enough to stay in shape.

I tried to cancel my membership due to being unemployed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of their asinine and archaic policies regarding canceling their memberships, my only option to cancel is to send a certified letter through the mail like im living in the 1800s. In the meantime, they informed me that they will continue to bill me and will issue refunds only when the re-open (yeah...right...). This takes your business model of making money off members who dont show up to a whole new level. What a joke. Good job supporting your customers during an incredibly difficult time guys. For all of those looking at this review in the future, when things get back to normal, please look elsewhere for a gym. Please support one of the many local gyms and trainers in the Phoenix area. I know the price point is attractive but youre basically paying 10 dollars to be treated like trash.

I love coming here! The atmosphere is so welcoming and everyone is so nice, whether you’re talking about the staff or the other people doing their workouts. Also, it’s a great location! It’s right off the 51 freeway and across from Starbucks (yay)! Even at the busiest times, you can still complete your workout with fighting over the machines and free weights.I would never go back to my old gym. 😊
Receiving telemarketing calls from this gym even on a Sunday morning. I applied for a 1 day guest pass almost 2 years ago and never used it nor did they ever contact me until now. Apparently they’re desperate for members and based off the reviews I see why.

Really friendly staff. The morning workout crowd is super nice. The trainers are experienced and very good with their clients. If youre looking for a juice bar, swimming pool or the latest yoga craze, this isnt your place. If you want a clean atmosphere with plenty of equipment and solid trainers, all at a fair price, then maybe this is your place.
I was also charged after they closed for covid. However I had cancelled my account. Finally when it was reopened i could talk to someone i was told my account was frozen. Hmm frozen but charged???. Just looked at my account and was charged 39.99 more. Yall are crooks I want a refund for these many month I couldnt get ahold of anybody.
I had to cancel my membership due to health issues they told me I had to come in personally to cancel it... I did and now months later they are calling me saying that I still owe them money and late fees they see that its cancelled and they agree but will not drop this. My secretary called for over 2 weeks straight everyday they said the manager was in a meeting finally we got a call back and he said he understands what happened and its taken care of now months later theyre calling me again
If you join, plan on paying the rest of your life. I cancelled in Aug 2018. They were still billing me in Nov 2018. Called to get money back and manager said I have to come in. I asked if I have to come in when manager was there or are evenings OK. Said any time. Came in at like 7 pm. They said that a manager has to be there to refund. They had me sign another cancellation form and manager would call me. 4 days go by, no call. Called in again and talked to manager. They said they would get it reversed and call me. Give it 2 - 3 days. Its not 5 days and no call.I called back in last Wednesday and all of the managers had left. The guy was very nice and said that he would have Cindel the manager call me. Its now Tuesday and 5 and no call. So I called her. She suggested that I contact you as she was not getting response. Which is really lame that I have to argue with multiple people to get my money back.Then they asked me to email corporate to follow up for them. No response.
Been a Youfit member at this location for a couple years now. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They have an ample amount of machines where I am never having to wait for anything which is a breath of fresh air compared to other gyms I have been to. Cannot beat their monthly cost either. Its so cheap that I opt to paying for a year at a time. My only negative review and reason for only 4 stars is the smell of the mens locker room/bathroom. It does not seem that they have been able to rectify that situation even though they added automated scented sprays in the bathroom. I think it is a ventilation issue.

Youfit is extremely clean and provides a very welcome environment for people of all ages, shapes and fitness stages. I have had 4 spinal surgeries and a hip replacement and require help sometimes. My service k9 accompanies me and although I look fit I never worry because hes with me to help when I need it. People are very friendly and dont judge. Youfit is by far the best gym especially for value for general health and fitness.

This gym was nice but cancelled shortly after starting membership. I found a gym that worked better for me (ymca). I was charged an annual fee of $50. This place is a scam and I wouldnt step foot inside.
I recently signed up at YouFit, and I have really enjoyed the experience. The facility is clean, and the staff is friendly. They do not have a lot of the extras that some of the bigger gyms have like basket ball courts or swimming pools. But they do have a wide range of workout machines that are state of the art. They offer both non contract plans the require a down payment, and contract plans that allow you to bring a guess to each workout as well as get discounts on drinks. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get into shape without spending a mint.

The floor is uneven, the bathroom is always gross and smells bad, machines are always broken, and the staff is very inconsistent. Some of the staff is nice but most dont seem to care much about anything, especially those wearing black shirts. Also, good luck if you have to cancel. They write a very sleazy contract to try and keep charging you after you cancel. Best advice: find a better gym. Wont be too difficult.
The Youfit on Bethany Home is super spacious so you really never feel crowded in the free weight section. I like that there is a wide range of members from super fit to elderly. More squat racks would be killer ;)Also, just read all the one star reviews about this place and wanted to say that staff has always been really nice to me. And I have canceled and restarted my membership before with no problems. I dont really write reviews ever but I feel pretty at home at this gym and wanted to shout out.
Haven’t been to the gym in a while, and when I walked in, I was shocked that the front desk remembered me and greeted me! Really made my night workout enjoyable and a little man at the front, francesco (I think a manager) and shammeka also,not sure, I’m guessing we’re new? were so nice to me! This gym is always clean, the personnel professional and courteous, the equipment well-maintained, there is ENOUGH equipment, and the overall vibe is relaxed and comfortable.
I go to a few YouFit locations and this is my second favorite. Its closest to my house so most convenient and I see a great trainer there who I love working out with. She kicks my butt! (Thanks, Karla!!) overall its pretty clean and lots of machines and free weights. I really wish they had a few stair masters, though! The Scottsdale location does so I miss using that. The staff are mostly all friendly so I always feel welcome. There are only two negatives in my opinion about this location. One is that many of the treadmills break down pretty often and take a while to be fixed. The second, the womans bathroom always smells really gross. Luckily I rarely use it. Great gym overall and I enjoy coming here.

Just caved to Youfits extortion after months of having my credit threatened. After attempting to cancel numerous times while the account was paid in full they failed to do what they said they did (close the account). Then they hit me with a yearly maintenance fee. When I refuse to continue paying they threaten to send my account to collections. Youfit collections called me today and made it sound like they were doing me a favor when they only charged me $50 to close the account for which I finally was presented a receipt. The only document Ive ever been able to get from these people since I signed the contract.DO NOT sign anything with these people ever! They will not hold up their end of the contract and will use the credit system to extort money from you.~response to managerIf you and your business were interested in honest business this issue would have been resolved long before I made my post. You don’t get to lie, steal and threaten and then save face with a BS offer to assist with an email address. You have taken up so much of my time and money already. Your business is despicable and consumers should know the type of scoundrel they are signing contracts with. I continue to stand by my original post.
The gym is very nice and easy to use. The people in the gym are very respectful when working out. The staff there have the best customer service, especially the one by the name of Josh. Cisco is cool too but i still think Josh is the best.
I will mention the good things about the Youfit located at 16th and Bethany Home first. The gym equipment is clean and in good working order and there is also a wide range of equipment to use. The hours of operations are accommodating to my schedule. Lastly, the price is affordable for individuals that live paycheck to paycheck, like myself. Now for the the reason why i gave this gym 3 stars. First, the staff is not knowledgeable concerning (elliptical/stair climber) equipment and stated a third party vendor addresses the issues of the equipment. The water from the fountain is tap water and rarely gives cold tap water.... YUCK!! There is no place to put my water bottle or towel while I work out so I am forced to place these items on the floor of the the gym. This causes me a lot of aggravation. This is not a bad gym for someone on a budget, but hopefully this will make you aware of what this affordable gym accommodations are before agreeing to join.
It’s bad decision I enrolled to You-fit the reason is that I was a member about 6 month and at the end decided to cancel my membership do to two jobs. I went over to the facility and talked to Front desk agent Shanika Shivers to cancel with her and paid in full. Next month pass I got call that my membership wasn’t completed cancel and know I got pay again I told front desk agent that I was all guaranteed by other front desk agent. The lady on phone consistently trying get my money I told her that let get hold of manager moreover the manager was not helpful, he said that I’ll be collections. Don’t enrolled this bad establishment front desk don’t know how cancel a member should of just go to LA fitness because they know what they are doing. Bad business never again coming to this bad operated management and staff. This happen today 5/14/19 11:53am
Open the gyms or stop charging us!!!!! Ive been charged the entire time of this pandemic! Refund it or youll be sued.
The manager Francisco is always so helpful. The front Desk always greets me with a smile and the gym has all that I need!! Couldn’t ask for a better gym at an affordable price
I love this gym! When i was learning how to live life differently this gym played a major part in that! Slowly but surley i start to look and feel different more and more everyday!
