One of THE places to play tennis in Phoenix. Beautiful views! Its also a great fitness center (all the programs and equipment) and a great social hangout (beer and wine available). And the staff is fabulous.I sometimes use this location as a workspace so I can get out of my home office. π
This is a great gym, we enjoy the swim team and amenities. Looking forward to it cooling down as tennis is the featured activity here. Quinoa bowls in the cafe are great, the store has really good clothing sale items and my favorite skincare line. Any special events that they put on have a community feel. They seem to do things right!
The best place to workout in town. The community, abundance of classes, huge facility, great locker rooms, steam, sauna, cold plunge, and even a bar for a drink with fellow members. Great view of Camelback Mountain as well. Staff is world class and the GM, Paul A, runs a tight ship all around.
I came to the club, with a friend who is a member and has came multiple times. We were stopped at the door by 3 front desk workers Adal, Savanna, and Harris. We were told to wait for 20 minutes while their manager was doing something which they cannot share with us. We stood by the door waiting for access after definitively sending diagrams to her parents permitting our entry. I hope you have a chance to be treated with this disrespectful demeanor once again.
Last Tuesday I went to tour this gym for a potential membership. The reception was outstanding. The club was full of nothing but positive energy, superior customer service and outstanding employees. At the end of my tour, I had a protein smoothy at the Cafe. Once again, another great experience; Adal was awesome! Two thumbs up to the Management for the outstanding club. A true 5-star establishment in every way. Thank you so much for the great experience!
Gorgeous courts. But, donβt get your hopes up of reserving one. They block out 9 courts for womenβs leagues from 8:30-11:30 all week. So you get to fight over 3 courts for the entire club. I maybe got a court once a week at 11am! Not worth $200/mo membership to rarely get a court.
Village is an amazing place!
We have been members for over a year. Have had a fantastic time. The facilities are superb. The front staff...and all the staff.... are super friendly and fun. Ricky in the bar is on top of things always and makes the beers after tennis a blast. The tennis pros are all super helpful and involved. We work with Will a lot ...and we always keep him supplied with a fresh batch of bit mojis which he loves! They need to up their game with the mobile app...which is clunky and buggy...but I hear they are working on it now. Hard to imagine another club that could top them really.
Nice environment. Fun classes. Makes staying fit more enjoyable and convenient!
The front desk manager is a rude person. We went last night, and I asked the girl at the desk if I can speak to someone in membership. She seemed confused and needed to discuss with a guy behind the counter. The guy comes to me and wants my info in the kiosk and wants a copy of my drivers license. I told him I just have a couple questions for a membership person. He says if I dont give my drivers license then Im not talking to anyone. I said I will go to another gym then. He replies...See Ya!.Its a shame that a nice gym can be ruined by rude employees. Sounds like they dont need new members.
Favorite tennis courts in Phoenix. Ryan Johnson and Jeffrey Smallwood run so many tennis programs you canβt NOT get involved in their no-pressure, fun culture.
CLEAN & WORTH THE MONEY!!! This is the best place in town to workout. If you are just looking for a place to run on a treadmill and do some light lifting this may not be worth the money for you. If youre looking for a CLEAN locker room, basketball courts, tennis courts, racquetball, indoor track, lap pool, yoga, pilates, spin class and so much more than this is the place for you.
Very happy with decision for our family to join the Village. Theres definitely great facilities, lots of top talent for racket sport enthusiasts, and have met plenty of nice people there. If you are a young family, the icing on the cake is their child care offerings. They are really great, especially their infant care services. You can feel very comfortable leaving your baby with them while you get that all important workout in. Piece of mind is crucial!
This place is pricey and it is probably more of a country club than a gym, and thats a negative for some, but not for me. I love the amenities, I love the environment, the staff are always very welcoming and helpful, the cardio and weights are everything I need (granted Im not an Olympic weightlifter) and the shower, steam, sauna, hot tub and ice bath are the perfect way to wind down a workout. I have tried a few of the yoga and spin classes and enjoy those as well.Great basketball, tennis, racquetball, squash, and pool facilities as well. And you cant beat the setting at the base of Camelback. Again, its not cheap and its not for everyone, but the Village is far and away my favorite spot for an enjoyable workout in the Phoenix area. Highly recommend.
This is the most amazing gym with most incredibly nice and friendly employees. Everybody starting from Valet guys, to front door people, to towel people, trainers, nannies in kids club, EVERYBODY is Soo AWESOME! The atmosphere is wonderful, most of people around treat you like family.
Overcrowded. Not enough parking. Your luxury cars will get scratched because parking spots are hardly regulation size. There are no decent TVs in the weight room to keep up with sports, only 1 is a real TV (small), the other two are looping ads about how awesome the Village is. Thereβs rarely ANY good music playing. The recent remodel clearly didnβt include user feedback as the place is as much of a cluster as it was before. With all of the wealthy members, Iβm shocked the Club has not have increased the dues to lower their membership count but retain revenue. Nope, still running it worse for potential members while the place is completely over. Poor management. The staff, instructors and geographic location should get 5 stars, management gets 2.
I just joined this place as my friends are members and its lovely. If I could spend every day here I would.I am trying to get fit playing squash and hope to gain more energy from my activity. Not too expensive I think
I love visiting Villiage camelback club during my visits to Scottsdale. I play tennis and always look for facilities with tennis accommodations. This is an amazing health club and staff is always very friendly. Tennis pro. Cam Burnett is very sweet and helpful. They always have some kind of tennis clinics and mixers you can join. I had a wonderful time and met some nice tennis players! Thanks Camelback!
Cons (Lets just get this part over with):-Its a huge facility but they still need a large open room for those of us who need our space. I often like to do plyometrics or some yoga, but they dont have space, especially during busier hours or when they have classes. I often see people working out in the hallways. Unacceptable.-parking during morning and afternoon peak hours is bad. Dont park in AJs parking lot.-Lack of attractive people. Its very inspiring and motivating when you work-out along good looking people.Pros:-I These clubs host many fun events.-Family friendly.-Lots of amenities like towel service, restaurant, many tennis courts, pool, clean locker room, basketball court, lots of guided classes.-Very clean.-People that go here are educated and friendly.-Friendly staff.-Valet Parking (oh my god, really!)-lots of equipment.-Spa inside of facility.-lots of tennis courts.-locker rooms have dry and steam sauna as well as large jacuzzi.-Towel service.
Great facility lots of tennis courts, 2 indoor basketball courts, indoor track. Cafe, great staff one of nicest health clubs around.
Great facilities, clean and bright for over 25 years. Highly recommend
Now I been getting my sweat on! The trainers here are superb! I have Linda for Pilates and Gyro. Shes the best! Love the kinesis machines. The water tastes really funny to me at the water stations, but thats no biggie. Towel service, hot tubs have too much chlorine in them for my taste. Nice steam room and sauna. Dr. Koop the chiropractor is amazing!!!! He fixed my excruciating back pain in three minutes. Girls do good manis and pedis also. I love the Village π
Great place - very clean - never have to wait for a machine.
The staff is helpful at getting everything settled. The zumba teacher can be very positive, even if youre new!
Do you like working out and have tons of money? Well then do I have the place for you
Super expensive. Fine for what it is, but honestly not worth the high dollar they charge for dues.
Nice tennis courts
One of the best racquet & health clubs in town...
A great family-centered club with helpful and friendly staff. Everyone in our neighborhood is here so we are always running into friends and family.
Great tennis squash courts and food bar
Itβs a nice place to do anything
Nice facility but way too expensive. Customer service when you cancel membership leaves a lot to be desired too.
First rate facility, staff and offerings.
Great amenities and a fantastic staff.
I liked it until membership department employee Kimber totally offended me with racist remark.
The Village has everything you could need in a health club.
Great club.
In need of an update and valet parking
Best gym in town!!
