After seeing the same dentist for the last 15 years, my wife and I decided that it was time to make a change. We were referred to Dr. Gonzalez and Gloria and after our first visit, wondered why we didnt make the change sooner. Firstly, the complex is easy to find with plenty of parking. The clinic is very clean, modern and felt very welcomed on our first visit. Gloria (the dental hygienist) is very gentle and always asking for feedback during the cleaning. She explains everything she does. Dr. Gonzalez is very thorough, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. She spends a good amount of time with you and makes an effort to get to know you on a more personable level. As a whole, they do not grind you on unnecessary treatments or products and are fully aware what your insurance does and does not cover. We are very happy we switched to Carefree Dentistry!

I was really impressed with the staff here. I went for a 2nd opinion this week and plan to switch to these guys. Dr. Cicero and Gloria both took the time to explain their treatment recommendations, and they were very compassionate and friendly. Will be going back.

Dr Cicero is awesome! The front office and Assistants are great. I was able to get in the next day for my filling that needed replaced. It was not hurting so I did not need a same day appointment. The office is clean. I felt very comfortable. I had no discomfort from the numbing.

Dr. Cicero is AMAZING! I had decay and a tooth extracted the same day. My colleagues told me their horror stories about their experience with other dentists and I was terrified! The filling was completely painless. I remember parts of the extraction that painfully touched my soul and were expectedly uncomfortable. We got to a place where I didn’t feel anything during the extraction, not even pressure.Dr. Cicero assured me the entire time. I felt completely confident in his ability to get the job done. He was compassionate, honest and patient. I had an excellent experience despite needing dental work. Good, honest, dentists are hard to come by - he’s incredible! I highly recommend!

Theyre kind, clean and professional. Even my children and husband love them. My daughters think the dentist is Ben Affleck type gorgeous! Lol. They listen and make you feel like the most important person in the room ever time. I swear they never have a bad day. After to Dental Office I had an appointment with lost power during a storm they sent me over to Dr Cicero & his team at Carefree Dentistry. Im so glad they did. :)I have been terrified to go to the dentist for years and had let a small problem turn into a big problem. I was in pain and needed a tooth removed urgently. I was careful to explain my fears from the needles to the procedures to the assistant - I really do try not to be a horrible patient.They were careful to make sure that my gums were numb before administering the injections and then careful to make sure that I was completely numb before starting to work on my mouth. I was pleasantly shocked. Also they made sure I was numb & comfortable through the whole ordeal of extracting the tooth & the bone graft.(Previously dentists would jump right in with a shot and get right to work before I was numb... No wonder I had a habit of grabbing at their hands and squirming.)I cant thank them enough for a not at all horrible experience at a dentist office. I am quite frankly amazed. My mouth needs some TLC and I know where I want to go for my next treatment...

I have been a patient in this location since 2009 when unfortunately a sub-standard dentist was practicing there. When the office was taken over in 2014 by an amazing talented dentist I received excellent care and still do. I was treated by Dr. Rama, Dr. Ross and now Dr. Cicero. The office staff is always top notch and friendly and the hygienist currently is Gloria and I see her 3 times a year. She is the absolute best. There have been other good hygienists in the past so that was never an issue for me. I highly recommend this office you will not be disappointed as Dr. Cicero is very gentle, kind and does everything right to keep you informed of what he doing.

My 8 year old daughter LEFT CRYING.... tears of PURE JOY!! She got her smile back!!! She had some cosmetic work done by Dr. Cicero and he was the best!!! Very comforting and patient with her... it was minor “art work” as he explained and she is absolutely on cloud 9 (and still is). I even received a call the next day and they were checking on her to see how she was doing!! From the front office gals, the hygienist, to the doc. Himself was wonderful! I also need to have some work done and it was all explained in detail and I was brought into a room to discuss payment.... NO SURPRISES HERE.... such an awesome group and my daughter thinks so as well... and that alone is a miracle... child loves dentist...🤷🏻‍♀️ HahaWould recommend to EVERYONE!

The dentistry team was just that a team of professionals. From start to finish they were courteous and professional. I was there for x Rays and exam and the dentist was thorough and diligent on explaining what needed to happen and made several options based on my wants and needs. The financials came into play and were explained so well that I felt like this could be completed. Took into account insurance and dental care plans. This was our first visit with Dr. Ryan Cicero, DMD and it was an amazingly pleasant experience from the moment we stepped in to the office we were greeted by great staff (Megan was knowledgeable, courteous and a great DJ). The same was the case with the actual exam- Destiny was great and best of all was Dr.Ryan Cicero, DMD. He was very caring, knowledgeable, and great communicator. Over all this was a great experience and our entire family will be coming to him for all our dental care (& Megans great music).Thxxxx

I selected this practice because of the reviews and a flyer I received in the mail. Oh my worst experience ever. I couldn’t even get an appointment because the person answering the phone did not have a clue what was going on. She could not even take down my insurance information or answer questions. Immediately demolished my confidence in the staff and office. 1st impression is important and if the people answering the phones are unable provide information on what insurances are taken let alone schedule an appointment, no thank you.

I never leave reviews but feel this one was earned. Let me start by saying, I am terrified of the dentist (drills, and needles etc). Unfortunately, I had a cavity that needed filling and Dr. Cicero was seriously SO sweet and made me feel comfortable. He was quick, always checked to see if I was okay and explained every step during the process. The entire staff is knowledgable, understanding and personable. I drive all the way from Arcadia to be taken care of by Carefree Dentistry and will continue to do so. Thank you for keeping my pearly whites healthy!

I had the best experience and would recommend Dr. Ross and the team to everyone. I voiced my concerns, and they went the extra mile to put me at ease. I am no stranger to the dental chair due to an accident when I was young so I have a lot of previous dental work that needed updating. Lisa did her magic with getting me the best financing, Gloria did an awesome job on my cleaning, Lucy was great taking care of me along with the rest of the team, and Dr. Ross did everything to make my procedure as painless as possible. I had 9 crowns, deep cleaning, and a filing all done in one day and had no down time. The next day, no swelling and really no pain. These guys are simply the best. I moved down to the Tempe/Mesa area almost two years ago but still go to Carefree because the service is that great.You walk in and they know your name will continue a conversation they had with you six months ago as if it was last week. Very friendly but not in the okay, stop talking to me with your hand in my mouth sort of way.And, of course, the care itself is fantastic. My teeth are always clean when I leave and they get me in and out in a reasonable amount of time (unless I have something that I would like them to look at). They are very upfront with any extra costs of tests or procedures and, while I have never gone to them for anything more serious than redoing a filling, their work has always been solid and Ill be going to them so long as it is a possible option.

Dr. Ross is by far the best dentist & her staff is very kind, welcoming, & friendly. I called after having a couple days of unbearable tooth pain & they were able to get me in that morning. I am extremely nervous with anything dental & have been to numerous dentists but have never felt comfortable enough to stick with one. That has all changed now. When I walked in the office I was greeted by Courtney who was very welcoming & already put me at ease about being at the dentist. Dr. Ross was very understanding with how nervous I was & made it seem as if I were her only concern while she was evaluating me. I ended up needed some endodontic work done & Courtney called around to places to see if they would be able to get me in same day as I was in a lot of pain. They really go above & beyond for you. I have been back twice since and I am always warmly welcomed by name. Thanks to this office my fear of the dentist is starting to fade, which with my past experiences I would have never thought I’d say. I am forever grateful for this office & highly recommend them as they are professional & caring.

I have not been to a Dentist in a while and I was very impressed. I do not remember being so comfortable in a office. Right when I walked through the door I was greeted. I was nervous about going back but the assistant was very friendly and did my x-rays. I saw Dr. Ross, she said she was new to the area and she was just AWESOME. I was blown away how all my nervous went away! Dr. Ross was very talkative and sweet and explained everything in a manor I understood. Their insurance guy helped me understand my insurance and I ended up having to get 2 crowns. They look and feel wonderful. Over-all I was happy with my experience and I am glad I now have a dentist that I like and do not have to dread it anymore!

One of the worst dental experiences I have ever had. Went for the first time and they were just trying to upsell me everything. After telling them it was overwhelming. You can tell they just want as much $$ as possible. Had to tell the dentist can we please just start with the urgent matters.

I had to have a crown and also a bridge replaced. I am so pleased with my results. My teeth have never looked or felt so good.

I cannot day enough wonderful things about this dentist. I had extreme dental anxiety prior to going here. I had tooth pain right before Thanksgiving, every office I called was 3 weeks out. I called Carefree, as a new patient, told them I was in pain, and they got me in that afternoon. I ended up having to get a root canal, and they were so great at explaining the process. Now I go to them regularly, Dr. Ross is amazing! And the office staff is so sweet every time I come in. Also- no more dental anxiety!! Best dentist in the valley

What an awesome experience. I went in for a checkup, x-rays, and a cleaning. First off front staff was awesome and welcoming. Gloria did an exceptional job performing the x-rays and cleaning my teeth by really explaining everything they were doing and looking at which made me feel really comfortable. Heck, I learned a lot too! Dr. Ross was great as well explaining and covering everything I needed to know and any next recommended steps. Lisa the Office Manager was a huge help as well! Truthfully, Ive gone to many dentist and I have not received this great of a service at any one of them like I did at Carefree Dentistry AND my teeth feel amazing!!! Definitely be back!Thanks!

I had a crown fall off and needed a dentist ASAP. I didnt want to go back to my past dentist because of such a painful and bad experience. I live down the street from a few dentist offices and picked one based on google reviews. I can tell you that my experience falls right in line with those great reviews. I do not like to go to the dentist EVER. Dr. Ross and her entire staff is amazing. They care. They tell you exactly what they are going to do and during the procedure they walk you through the process. I was very impressed and it was pretty painless and quick. I have also had some other work done since my 1st visit and again, all went well. I will refer all of my friends and family to Dr. Ross. Thank you!

As a college student, the time that I have to care for my teeth is very little, needless to say Im usually very nervous to get my teeth checked. However, coming to this office is always an amazing experience. The atmosphere is very laid back and professional. Dr. Ross is very sweet and humorous - making me feel very comfortable, the rest of the staff is amazing as well, I love their energy! Im told and shown what is happening with my teeth and what I can do to make them healthier, which is very helpful. During the times when I needed more then a cleaning - i.e. fillings, making my crown, or cutting my gums - everything went smoothly and beautifully (not to mention massage chairs and lavender face cloths!) I would highly recommend this office to anyone who feels nervous about dentist appointments, everyone will make you feel very relaxed and welcomed!

I recently came in with pain in a back molar tooth (upper right side) I was immediately taken care of with an exam and X-rays. There was a crack, a large old filling in the tooth it was well worn down as well it had seen better days, 😬this was all explained and shown to me. Preparations were taken for a crown yeah pain free! Love the staff very gentle and caring, received a call nexted day to see how I was doing, sweet! 😀

Love this place. I put off going to the dentist for 17 years and I was uncomfortable and terrified to go back in. Dr Ross and her team were amazing and made me very comfortable and are getting me back on the right track for a healthier smile. I have not had such a wonderful dentist and staff, work on my teeth since i was a teen getting lots of fillings from old Dr. Ported. Dr. Ross and her staff do an awesome job keeping my teeth healthy and clean. they were great at keeping my nervous husband comfortable for cleanings and crown replacements.

No one likes going to the dentist but at carefree dentistry, Dr Gonzales and the entire staff was very friendly (shook my hand welcoming me and thanking me for coming as I left) and did a fantastic job of finding out what was wrong. My previous dentist could not find anything wrong so he referred me to a specialist who also did not find anything. Giving up hope I let things go until I had to find a solution. When I got to the office, they made me very comfortable, took more X-rays and even had a new camera to take pictures of soft tissue to help locate my problem. I ended up having a very small fracture and ended up needing a crown. Needless to say, my husband and I both have found a new dentist!

They were super fast and did an amazing job. I dont do well with doctors or dentists but they all put me at ease. I had 2 cavities but had no pain. It doesnt hurt that Doctor Ross is easy on the eyes either. ;)

This review is way long overdue!!Work was performed on two top and one bottom teeth. Let dentist know that there was pain in all three teeth. Was told since its temporary crowning, this is normal pain and would be better once actual crowns placed in.Still experienced pain in lower tooth after permanent crown was placed in. Dentist said it needed adjusting. I went in 5-6 time for adjustments and still had issues chewing on that tooth. Completely stopped chewing on that side due to pain and finally I called in again and said no more adjusting and need tooth to be relooked at this is now a year later! X-rays were taken and Dr. Ross insisted it wasn’t that tooth giving me pain and insisted that it was tooth in front in and suggested a crown for that tooth!!!! I said absolutely not and they finally referred me to an Endodontic and still suggested to make an appointment for a crown for the other tooth!The Endodontic said I needed to get a root canal done on that tooth and one of the other tooth that crown was placed on top of mouth. After paying the amount of money and enduring the amount of pain I had, I ended up needing root canals! The bottom tooth still hurt and the Endodontic took X-rays and said the only explanation to that would be that when crown was placed, my tooth could have cracked in process and he has no way of telling since crown was already placed when I went to see him.I called the office and expressed my concerns with them and my dissatisfaction with how things were handled and Dr. Ross never received a called me back!! Not surprised because her mission of taking $4K of my money was her mission and she had accomplished that.I ended up getting that tooth extracted due to her poor treatment plan. I had zero pain on that tooth upon my visit and did as she suggested thinking she had my best interest. Clearly not!! They are only after your money!!! Please stay away!!!

Had an ongoing tooth ache that has persisted for years, looking for a new dentist I found Carefree Dentistry, called in the morning and by the afternoon they got me in and did my x rays, cleaning, fixed a filling, a broken crown and the bad tooth. No more pain or cold sensitivity. I have already recommended them to my friend and family. The office staff is awesome and Dr Ross sat down and with me and explained everything. No pain. Nicest and the friendliest people i have ever met. Word of advice though dont ask your dr on a date with a bouquet and a fruit basket no matter how gorgeous pretty beautiful and look so cute when they blush or turn red.

Dr. and staff were pleasant; however, I was told I was being “squeezed in” after booking my cleaning and exam a month out in advance. The front desk staff blamed the prior patient for putting the doctor behind, yet I was 10 min early to my appointment and was made to wait in the chair for 40 minutes. I left after not being treated. What poor customer service.

Had my first appointment just before the New Year for just a check-up and cleaning. Everyone the front desk was awesome. After filling out some brief paperwork, Gloria did a fantastic job of cleaning my grill, and what I thought, the Xrays showed I despartly had to have my top two wisdom teeth removed. We scheduled to have them removed, and the day came. Lisa at the front desk was awesome. She handled everything with my insurance company like a pro and assured me that Dr. Ross was excellent at removing teeth and not to be concerned. She was right. Dr. Ross did and excellent job. Minimal discomfort and in and out in record time. She took the time to review the details and gave me instructions on what to do for the next couple of days. What in most cases is a painful and ugly experience, Dr. Ross made a piece of cake. I want to say thank you to Lisa, Gloria, Dr. Ross and everyone else at Carefree Dentistry for a wonderful experience. Believe it or not Im looking forward to my next check-up. Everyone in this office is very friendly, competent, efficient and all around amazing! Highly recommend.

After an adult lifetime of avoiding the dentist because of fear, pain, discomfort and an irrational fear of dentists and doctors, I visited Dr. Gonzales and her staff. They made the entire process of the first and subsequent visit easier to handle. I admit readily to not being the easiest patient, but they are extremely patient and understanding. Highly recommended.

Please take you time and read this carefully. I HATE ALL DENTISTS ALL OF THEM!!!!! EXCEPT Dr. Ross. Today I was a walk in patient due to having an abscess tooth. From the moment I walked in the staff was incredibly friendly, they made the paperwork as effortless and simple as possible. I was seen and taken care of right away. My past experiences with dentists are absolutely horrible so bad to the point I havent been to a dentist in over six years. A quick example, hitting a tooth over and over to cause pain so I will cave in and get all of the work done right there on the spot. No not kidding. Then does a half ass job on one of my 2 root canals (tooth exposed causing abscess) real piece of work. I promise if you come here you wont get any of that, quite the opposite.The entire staff really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable that I was taken care of right away. Dr. Ross went to great lengths to make sure that my abscess tooth was taken care with the least amount of pain possible.Thank you all so much!I still hate dentists but you guys so far are the exception. Haha

My boyfriend and I both went here for the first time this month. We found that the Doctor and front office secretary who greeted us were kind. However, other people were extremely harsh and rude, and pushed procedures and quite literally rolled their eyes when I chose not to have certain things done. You do not always have to agree with your patients, but you do ALWAYS need to be kind. It seemed the entire time like they were trying to sell us something, not just care for us.

Most professional dental office I have ever been. Front desk associate to the doctors assistants and dentail doctors themsleves were supportive and caring. Dr. Gonzalez I would recommend.

Place is fantastic!! Staff are so friendly, they make you feel so welcome. Not to mention the checkups are by far the greatest than any other dentistry.

I will never return to this dentist because of the person who is in charge of their insurance. He mislead me about my charges and what would be covered by my insurance. If I had known the truth, I would never have had the procedures done. When I called to question my billing, he was more than rude. He talked a mile a minute and when I tried to ask a question, he talked louder and over me. It is a shame that a good dentist would employ someone of this caliber.
