5 Star Experience, great food, great environment! This place has a really, old school, yet authentic feel about it. The food was also a cut above, and Im picky about my pasta. The Pasta options come with a hearty option which allows you to increase the amount you get, by about $5 in price. My wife and I shared a dish, but could have gotten a full one for us both. 5 stars!
My first experience dining here was in the chandler location which I give a five star everytime. Unfortunately this site located in Phoenix, gets 2 stars. The staff was very professional and welcoming. The cook was pleasant listen very well, he just didnt follow threw. Our meals had to go back twice, meat wasnt cooked correctly, didnt get bread until we asked. Forgot to bring our plastic wear, brought me the wrong dressing. When asked about the dressing he was certain it was correct. He Was Wrong! We had intention to give a nice tip due to the welcoming greet, but died as the service died. I will not be going back to that location.
It was my first time stepping into The Old Spaghetti Factory and it was AWESOME! I love stepping back in time with all the nostalgic pieces of history all over the restaurant! Not to mention the food was great! Hey what are the meat lovers treat. There was one negative issue whats this restaurant. Definitely flavorful and fillng! I noticed our silverware still had food on it. Not something you want to see dining out. Did I mention theres a full size trolley in the restaurant? Definitely look forward to eating at this establishment again.
Always have loved the atmosphere and antiques in the place. This location is in 2 old adjoined houses so there is a lot of character in addition to the decorations. Used to be a super good value but prices have gone up quite a bit in the past few years and the included coffee or tea are now separate too. Had the spaghetti in the past and was not really impressed. My kids love the Alfredo. I had the lasagna tonight and it was really good; the sauce was rich and well seasoned so I was happy. The side salad that comes with dinner is nice to have but very lackluster, iceberg lettuce mix with some croutons. The bleu cheese dressing was pretty good, my friend had the ranch and it had a strange herb taste to it. She had the managers special which has 2 kinds of pasta. She had mizithra cheese and Alfredo, not as good as she remembered but did like it. Their bread is always fresh and has an awesome texture to it, crispy on the outside with a soft and chewy interior. Cant go wrong with good fresh baked bread and whipped butter! Spumoni for dessert, a treat that one does not normally have and is always tasty.
I wasn’t really impressed. I thought the pasta sauce was bland and the meatballs tasted like frozen meatballs you can buy from the store. They have some fun specialty drinks though. Their fruit flavored cream sodas were really good. I think they’re worth giving a second chance, but you could probably find a better Italian restaurant to visit.
🎧pod. Inside the old spaghetti factory is so beautiful. The customer service experience was very great. I like that they have a nice Red wine selection. Very convenient right in front of the light rail station 🔥🔥🌞☀️
Party of 30 but only one Waitress taking orders. One of the person came late, Manger refused to let her in. Food comes out. They dont know who ordered what. Soups was cold, salads was hot. Food was not worth the money. Waitress took along to give us our check. Took long time to get Dessert . I was one black man who did a great job in serving. This was our first time in this restaurant and last. They included the gratuity on our bills. Over $100.00 in gratuity but got horrible service.
Arrived at 4:45 pm and told there was a 10 minute wait. By 5:15 4 parties that came in, and signed in after me were seated before me. I checked the dining room which had over 12 empty tables when I arrived. At 5:15 all of the doubles were still empty. Why did the hostess tell me 10 minutes. Why are there 7 parties ahead of me when they ALL came in after I did. S very serious decline in quality of help and service recently. I saw a party of 7 with proof of their reservation get turned away because there was nothing on their end. There were 2 tables for 8 empty in the closed section. Not good.
Interesting place. The food was good and hearty, but I had a weird portrait of a little girl on a horse staring at me the whole night. They also have a train right in the middle of the dining hall which again is interesting but maybe thats charm of the place. Spicy spaghetti was good, but Id get the meat lovers of I came again. Oh and they do have gluten free options if youre worried about that.
My niece and I went in on an early Friday afternoon. There was a lot of staff working however it was empty customer wise. First the hostess sat us in an area apparently not open so we didnt have a server for quite a long time. People kept walking by stating they would send somebody to help us but it took almost 15 minutes for someone to come over and present our menus. After we placed our order with our server our food was brought out by someone completely different and with dirty silverware. We had to ask some person walking by to exchange our silverware because our spoon had old food on it. Once the food arrived it was edible. It wasnt the greatest. The food has declined over the years and it wasnt as fresh tasting as it used to be. I could tell my lasagna was probably Frozen and/or a couple days old. Even my soda had a weird chemical chlorine taste. The price was okay but it was the quality of food that was my problem. The food was not worth the price. I dont have a problem paying what I paid however I expect decent food. If I wanted a TV dinner I could do that at home.
My bby took me here .I was impressed with the food as well as the service.I had the 3 course meal and it was just right. Will definitely be back
Ive been going to the Old Spaghetti Factory on and off for probably 30 years. Not much has changed in that time, including the trolley in the center of the restaurant. Food has always been good and the bread served fresh and warm.
To expensive, and taste of food was not good its changed for the worst. I dont like the idea of restaurants using the pandemic to up prices.
I have eaten here many times. Its one of the few places whose meals include soup or salad and dessert. The food is very good and reasonably priced. This time I ordered the spaghetti with mushroom sauce. The portions are pretty good sized. And I love the spumoni!
Great experience. A little on the slightly expensive side, but worth it if youre taking a date out. The Mizithra is amazing.
Great place for the family. Short wait time for a table was under 10 minutes at 6pm. It is a large restaurant with a unique arrangement of seating and decor. Happy hour from 4-6p at the bar. Minestrone soup and the spaghetti were delicious. There is a reason they have been around for so many years.
Great food and drinks, chairs and booths will hurt your backs, its COLD so bring a sweater/shall/jacket, broccoli tastes like it was frozen.. Great server though!
Made a reservation, couldn’t get sat until 30 mins after our time. The manager was sassy and rude, spit words at us that she had already decided she was going to say before she even talked with us. She was so unpleasant I wish we would have left right then after listening to her condescending tone; absolutely no people or problem solving skills. Her exact words were “we cannot guarantee a reservation if we get busy”. So, why would this restaurant accept reservations if that is the policy?? She ruined the vibe for our family before we were even able to sit down. Sat us at a table made up of 3 tables pushed together and they were all different sizes and heights. Messed up 2 of my brothers orders, and my sisters food was cold. The food was bland and boring. Servers were inattentive and curt, and seemed really uneducated about the menu. It actually seemed like a nuisance they had to serve us. So disappointed - happy birthday to me, thanks a lot.
I havent even eaten here yet! Ive only picked up delivery orders but the interior is so cute! I love the atmosphere and the food smells amazing. Cant wait to try it out
Table we were seated at was too small even for just 2, and while I love the marinara there I found the crab ravioli a little on the chewy side. I guess maybe its a personal or regional preference but I really like melt in your mouth thin ravioli and this just wasnt that.Next visit Ill ask them to seat us at a normal sized table and go back to the spaghetti. I wonder if they are able to serve angel hair it wasnt called out on the menu, guess Ill ask. Anyway decent place, service was good, will give them another chance to impress.
Came as a walk in with a party of 9. Last minute dinner idea. We were told itll be about 10 minutes to be seated. Thirty minutes later we had to ask to be seated. Still waited another 20 minutes. After we received our drinks, we waited a good while after we were ready to order before one of us asked another server to get our server so we can order. Ive never had this issue at this restaurant before.
All in all the WORST! When we arrived two tables were dirty from a previous party, our stay there was a total of 1hr 15min and not one employee cleaned the tables. Food was plain and the meat balls were terrible to say the least. I do not recommend!! My daughter and I walked out wishing we would’ve had McDonalds instead.
Good food and service was good. Always appreciate a good spaghetti dinner.
Love this place. Choose your place where you want to sit though or else they will sit you where they see fit. Food is great love the ambiance. Always tasty and food is on point. Try 5 star experiences.
Food and service was good! Would definitely go back.
Food was good, service was good. But I asked for a drink with my dinner and it came after the whole table was finished eating. The drink was also not done correctly and I was charged fully for it. Kinda disappointed, but overall not a bad experience.
Enjoyed our visit here today. We made a reservation they took us right away our Server was FANTASTIC and food was Great! Loved the atmosphere also.We will be back for sure.
Preferred the one in Chandler alot better better ambiance better food and service in general
Was unpleasantly surprised with the very high prices for small plates of noodles. Atmosphere was great but we were not pleased with spending over 2.5 hours dining for our party of 8. Cheese bread with marinara was great, meats were very tasty, but the salads were lousy. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Food was delicious, service was spot on. Our server, Matt, did a terrific job.
From the time we sat down and were brought dirty wet appetizer plates I was disappointed. The server was just like a robot. Not friendly and acted bothered we were even there. I took my kids there for nostalgia since my family had gone there when we were young. The building itself was clean and well kept. The server was just awful. The guys came out of the kitchen and one had slippers on. I just didnt feel it was up to the quality it once was. The pasta was not cooked enough and brought out cold. The shrimp was rubbery and not savory; cooked too long. Prices were outrages for what you get. Not at all what I remember this restaurant experience being growing up in Phoenix. Servers should not act like its a bother when a dishwasher mistake takes place. Nor act like you are bother when someone asks for more water....shouldnt the server be asking the table if additional drinks are needed? Maybe she was having an off day. Sadly, a disappointment .
8/29/21 8:30p2 stars for this visit and this visit only. Previous visits have been stellar. Server took forever to initially come to the table. As you can see from the picture 3 of the 4 utensils has food on it. The cheese bread appetizer they came out plain we ordered with pepperoni & bacon so they went back. They came back correct but with no plates we were too hungry to ask and wait. Everyone elses meal were fine my chicken marsala was overdone stringy and the other breast could not be cut (not an exaggeration)It was at this point I had enough and sent it back. The exec chef came out to apologize let me know there was a new guy on the chicken. He was trying to make us happy, but the experience was already ruined and we really had to go we had somewhere to be.He was not deterred. He remade my meal (to go) himself. And offered up NY style cheesecake as well.Gotta say next day warmed up.. it was perfect.Im chalking this visit up to.. they were slammed and short staffed?? I hope the owners see this in hopes of making sure the customer services never falls this low again. I have had many great dinners here years back when I lived closer. Have not lost our family as customers yet. (Too many great memories)
My family has been eating here for years because the food is always amazing and the service is great. Not only do we visit this location often, but also try to find others if we go on vacation somewhere because its that good! My family orders the spaghetti with marinara or mushroom sauce, and I always get the spinach and cheese ravioli. Decor is very vintage and the furniture makes the restaurant feel very homey. Highly recommend!
It was really more like a 3 Star but I understand these are challenging times with staffing. Bottom line, servers are being oversat which is not their fault but it is wrecking the service. After waiting about 15 minutes at my first table I had to go to the front and get a new table. The new server was very very courteous and got my food out quickly. Unfortunately the food came out wrong the first time and there was a hair in my second dish that came out but I just ignored it, lol. It wont kill you. My advice would be to probably skip this location for now or make sure that you ask if the server is truly ready for a table!
Loved it for the last 25 years. Doesnt matter if youre in Oregon, California, or Arizona. Same great food
We brought the immediate family here for our 5yr old birthday dinner. He loves spaghetti! Everyone enjoyed their dish...you cant beat the 3 course deal. Easy same day reservation. I had the spinach tortellini w chicken 😋
My wife and I went here for Valentines Day and we had a wonderful time and REALLY enjoyed our meal, the service, and the experience of this Old Spaghetti Factory! To start, we made reservations for 4:00pm, since it was Valentines Day, we knew itd be busy. We were seated and already had drinks by 4:10. They also offer pickup here by the way. Now to the meal, the food was very good, decent portions, and in my opinion, reasonable prices! My wife and I both ate a 3 course meal (salad or soup, entree, and spumoni) and had a Italian Cream Soda for $35! Granted we did drink water to save a few bucks. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us often! To finish, the restaurant seemed very clean including the restrooms. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place for a great place to get Italian food!
Great place for our family get-together meal--even our vegan found a good mushroom-based pasta dish that he enjoyed. We had Robin as a server, and he was great--very helpful and responsive to our needs.
I love the food! However I called.at 920pm to order food to go and was refused. I explained we were not trying to dine in just a family spaghetti togo.... There is no reason my request was denied. Noodles are precooked and portioned. Sauce is ready made... Sad representation of your business.. very displeased
Delicious food and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. It’s a very fun place to eat and the selection is pretty great. My wife can’t eat gluten but they have a reasonable gluten free selection including most pasta entrees. Their lasagna is fantastic- highly recommended. The only reason for docking a star is that we sat and waited for 40 minutes on a night when the place was close to empty, then our waitress seemed like she couldn’t wait for us to go. She was nice enough but probably very tired at the end of her shift and it showed.
Tried this place for the first time as to go order and had a great experience.... food was packed clean and nicely in separate containers and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Curbside pickup was pretty fast and convenient, I will definitely come back to enjoy the dine in as well!
Good food. Valley Singles will be back
Very large restaurant thats iconic. Great place for larger gatherings. Food is always good and plentiful. Management was hands on helping the staff and everyone was pleasant and efficient.
Great as always! Good food, good service. My first time to this Phoenix AZ location. Ive grown up going to the one in San Jose CA. Good to know this one is here! My suggestion for dinner.... Managers Special with half mizithra cheese and half clam sauce! So good!
Ordered a to go meal with the front desk host and she got my meal all wrong. The meal I ordered was spaghetti with meat balls and ice cream. I specifically said over and over spaghetti and meatballs. I received my order but no meat balls. I did not notice till I left and got home.I called the manager and she has no customer service skills. She will talk to you like you are wrong. I told her I’m leaving a bad review. I’m not dealing with that.So if you place a to go make sure you check your order before you leave. This place use to be a good place to go but Slowly falling apart. While waiting for my food at the bar where I needed to pay, I felt very uncomfortable because the bartender said he would not eat the free bread given out here.So beware of the free bread.
NOT EVEN ONE STAR, Made a reservation and when we arrived hostesses told us to wait 30 minutes due to being at full capacity. What is the point of a reservation if you cant schedule tables?? It was for 3 people, thats sad. Thanks for disappointing on my birthday.
Other than food being an hour and half late it good food
Everyone loves this place. Weve been going here since small kids. Rail right in front of the restaurant and the food here is very good..a bit pricey but portions are great. So many books and cranys you will find a section youll love. You can eat in the train car or in separate areas. Full bar and cool decorations.
Whats not to love about the Old Spaghetti Factory? You get a big old plate of pasta with something tasty on top of it, bread, a salad, the drink, ice cream... the whole deal for one price. I dont often get an appetizer because the bread comes with it, but the cheesy garlic bread really is next level. I think its the obnoxious amounts of butter they use, but whatever is going on up in there, I am a fan. Bonus points for indoor train seating.
Went to this location for my wifes birthday. We have been to several across the country and always great food and wait staff. Very old time decor and very good food. The portions are large and food is made from scratch. You can taste the love and energy thats out into each dish. Family friendly and great for any group size. Highly recommended!
Went to celebrate our youngest sons birthday. Food was great and the service was fantastic. We were a party of 16 and we didnt lack for anything.
Never been to an Old Spaghetti Factory before, very nice decor! Ended up ordering my Chicken Alfredo, Friend ordered the Pot Pourri... It was great, but ended up having to take more than half of it to go. Meal came with a small scoop of ice cream. It was definitely worth the price paid! Great service too...Thanks, Tim! ☺️
Celebrated my daughters graduation by having dinner with the family here. It was a great environment for the kids very family friendly. Food and service was great seeing we had a party of 15! I always enjoy each time I visit 💜
Always an awesome place to go. Wait times for a table are always ridiculously long with many tables sitting open but meal was delicious.
I didnt even know this place existed until a couple months ago. You will love the history of this place, like stepping back in time. The food was excellent and presented well. Come hungry leave satisfied.
We were with a large group tonight and Cooper was our server. He was awesome! He was very efficient with drinks and dinner and overall friendly outstanding service
The Old Spaghetti Factory was great, as usual. The bread with marinara couldve been my entire meal, really. It is that delicious. I am, however, disappointed that the shrimp salad is not back. That was my to go dish at the factory and I keep waiting for its return.
Had a great time with my uncle and wife. it was her birthday. happy birthday love. cant wait to see you again. when I do Im never going to let you go.
The funniest part is that I’m not a huge spaghetti fan, but I was recommended this place by a friend. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was amazing! The cocktails and appetizers were really good, too! I would definitely recommend coming here. The pricing is reasonable, and the staff was very friendly.
Didnt have the opportunity to eat here, had a take out order. Food was steller and atmosphere was unlike anything Ive ever experienced.
I’ve been going to The old Spaghetti Factory for 30+ years. It is still fairly good food. The bread is not what it once was 10+ years ago. It is definitely not the deal it once was, so we don’t go as often. Love the spumoni, Fyi they will set it by the gallon.
Have been coming here since I was 5. Still love this place although the food quality has changed the friendly faces and service has not. Not saying the food is bad or just used to be alot better. Can still find a few great tasting plates & is still at a decent price.
This place and the food and the service only gets better with the years. Always a great time here.
Old Spaghetti Factory: been awhile since the last time we were there. The place is quite busy. Had to wait to get seated. Its okay. Their food is worth waiting for...
Great service, food was great I think our server was Amber, she went above and beyond. Chris the bartender was outstanding and friendly as could be! Love spaghetti factory and yours did not disappoint!!!
Awesome Dining experience. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made our night out even that much more memorable.
This was my first time coming to this restaurant. The waiter was incredible he was really nice and kind and made us feel very happy to be there. He checked up on us he made the birthday girl (my sister) really happy. It was great (at first) until my little sister got up her chair and she trip and she got a cut on her knee with a broken glass that was on the floor. The awesome waiter helped us get a band-aid and he said he was going to get a manager to see what we they can do.. When the manager came in she asked if it was serious and no it wasnt super serious but she was bleeding a bit that she did needed something to stop from bleeding. We showed her that glass and my sister showed her that its not just there but around the whole area that we were in. There was bits and pieces of glass and we had 3 little kids with us to celebrate a birthday. The manager just said oh Im sorry but didnt really seem to care. For my first time there we had an awesome waiter, the host was nice too and the food was good, but the experience overall at the end it was really bad.
My first time there. My friend suggested it. Love the atmosphere and the trolley is amazing in the middle of the room. The food was good but a little expensive.
We love it. My girlfriend and myself just decided we wanted spaghetti. I remembered The Old Spaghetti Factory( Company .) Great food, our waiter was great, great atmosphere and all at a reasonable price. We enjoyed our night. We recommend this restaurant. Thank you.
Meh food. I hadnt been to a Spaghetti Factory since the pandemic and while the service here was fairly good, the food wasnt as great as I have has at other Spaghetti Factories. Either that, or my personal spaghetti sauce has improved significantly over the past 18 months...
Great day core atmosphere was wonderful Ambiance loved it food was Top Notch
Really cool restaurant with a neat historical feel.
Theyre always great here! Everyone is always so nice and the food is always good. Highly recommend
Very disappointed in the service my family and I received today. There were people seated outside, with tables clearly open, and when we asked about outdoor seating they denied us. The servers then proceeded to seat us in a heavily populated area when there were clearly tables outside and in different areas of the restaurant. When we requested to be moved they said they could not accommodate us. We are still in the middle of a pandemic and I was highly disappointed with the level of care taken by this establishment. I Will never go to this location again. I hope that there will be better accommodations available to families who need it and that the staff can show more care for their customers in the future. My experience was highly unprofessional and extremely disappointing. The Spaghetti Factory has been a lifelong love of mine as my family has frequently visited and this experience has tainted the nostalgic feel which is extremely upsetting.
Best spaghetti and meat sauce... Their house dressing is the best
The waiter was very nice. The host was terrible set us way in the back because we got off the light rail we was not happy with her.. there was a lot of tables but we where all the way in the back it looked like the supply room.. The only person that treated us great was the waiter
Old world charm great decor food and pasta.
This place is a popular location and has great food. I love the lasagna and I order it every time. The staff was kind and polite. I did wait to eat however it was worth it!
