I loved the whole experience! Yes shes very gruff and has an intimidating personality, but I tend to like that. She gets the job done and you cant beat the price unless you do it yourself. She actually has a sense of humor that you might get a glimpse of if she likes you.

It’s not the salon; it’s the people running it. I didn’t get anything done and I could tell how unprofessional they are. In add’t they were operating without a mask too. Continue to go if you like the rudeness and disrespect. Not worth my money.

The lady who did my wax was very rough, my friend who recommended me here told me she’s rough with her too. Maybe try being a little more gentle on our sensitive area ! But it was very quick and cheap so I might give it another try

I am very picky when it comes to my eyebrows, so when I moved to the city 3 years ago I was nervous to find someone new. I am now a forever customer. I have moved multiple times making the walk a lot longer but I wont stop. The quality of service is on point. The price for the city is extremely reasonable. They are clean and the body wax has a coco smell which is a nice touch. I highly, highly recommend.

So, a few things. First, each time Ive been here I was greeted and serviced immediately without an appointment. Emma, who does the waxing is phenomenal and FAST. In and out for a Brazilian and nearly pain-free (which probably seems unbelievable but just trust me). The prices are great as well especially when compared to other places in the city. Highly recommended.

I never really write reviews on google but I had to for Int’l Salon. She was so fast, good and charming. Of course it hurt, but the pain does not last long at all. It is also so much cheaper than any other places here. They didn’t even force for a tip but I just had to tip as it was that good. I highly recommend this place!!!

Ive been going to International for YEARS and I wont go anywhere else. Ive been to other waxing salons in the city that try to be more spa-like but honestly, who needs all of the fuss when youre getting a Brazilian and you want to be in and out? This wax takes 10 minutes, smells like chocolate, and Emma & Natasha are kind and always take great care of you. They are quick and its almost painless, and the salon is very clean.

I definitely recommend International Salon for waxing. Ive been there twice so far, and have been pleased with the experience and the results both times. Emma does the job as quickly and painlessly as possible, and the price cannot be beat. You also dont have to make a reservation, which is nice, and I have always been out of there within 15 minutes.

My experience at international salon was amazing! Im a shaver and it was my first time. I was absolutely terrified! Emma did my wax and trust me she plays no games. She gets right to work. And she made small talk with me as well. I loved that she wasnt too gentle. She did the Job and she made sure to do it well. Culturally they are not the most approachable nice people, but that didnt bother me. Had a good experience with the Brazilian wax at this salon, Natasha was very friendly contrary to what other reviews have said. She made small talk to distract me during the process. Sure the place looks a little seedy, but the price is great and I had no side effects besides the expected tenderness and redness for a day. It was a super quick process which was relieving and she gave me a soothing lotion for afterwards. I don’t know about you but I can’t fathom getting a bikini wax where I stayed on the table more than 5 minutes! Yes! I’m in and out within FIVE minutes. No frills. They don’t make u take all these shapes like getting on ur knees like other practices do. You just lay there. Just straightforward, short, and sweet. And the price is right. You can’t beat it. If you stick to your routine, it’s true what they say, over time the hair does get thinner, and it does get easier and slightly less painful over time. I found the International Salon on Sansom St. At 17th. The owner Emma, made me feel very comfortable by explaining to me that she is a registered nurse and has been at this location for over 38 years. Her salon is bright and impeccably clean and family owned and operated. The quickness and efficiency she took to remove my back and chest hair is the reason I am writing this glowing positive review. She has made me a loyal customer. I will be back.

I tried it today, and I can tell you that this was the most painless waxing experience I had in my life (and I have been doing Brazilian on regular basis for 3 years and tried several waxing places). I would seriously fly across the country for this waxing service. They are the most professional waxing salon Ive come in contact with, and I dont know what I would do if I moved away from Philadelphia. I have very thick dark leg hair, but they do my entire leg and Brazilian in 30 minutes or less, no joke. AND my hair is so much lighter and fine that when it does grow back I hardly notice it anymore. To a girl who has ridiculously unruly dark body hair, Natasha and Emma have been a dream come true.

I love this place! Ive been going consistently once a month for a little over a year, very nice and friendly. Im in and out everytime no appointment needed. Mother and daughter are the only two waxing no worries of having different people touching you each time. Daughter even offered to sit in my car while in loading zone so that I wont get a ticket. I once parked in a lot instead of the street and Emma gave me a discount off my waxing. I highly recommend!!! $50 for bikini and underarm waxing prices and services cant be beat!

Worst experience of my LIFE at this place! I went in for a bikini wax. They were instantly unfriendly not greeting me or anything when I walked in. That should have been a sign. Then when I went back the older lady who did my wax spent the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME talking on her phone. Yes... she talked on a phone while waxing me. Never said a word to me besides keep quiet & once to blame ME for my pain from me shaving MONTHS prior because I kept yelling from the pain. She told me if I ever shave again to BOT come back to her! She was extremely rough. Never even stopped talking long enough to tell me to brace myself or anything. Then when I went to go pay they charged me EXTRA money for being BLACK! Yup I said it... BEING BLACK! The excuse they gave was that my hair was too coursewhich means they feel as though I should be charged more. Code word for too black!!! This place is disgustingly rude & disrespectful! Im absolutely shocked that theyre still in business!!!

I did a walk-in wax today with Emma, and I cant speak highly enough of her and the whole experience. She was a true professional- polite, no nonsense, and the wax was INCREDIBLY efficient and almost pain-free. To top it all off, the cost was about half of what the other salons are charging. Now that Ive been here, I honestly cant see myself going to any other salon in Philly.

Yes she waxed fast but I was left with hair. She didnt wear any gloves and I saw her double dip with the Same stick in the same wax. I absolutely love this place and will never go anywhere else for a wax! Emma is fantastic - a real pro! She is quick, painless, knows what she is doing, and did I mention QUICK? I used to go primarily to high end spas for waxing before I found International Salon, and not only did it cost an arm and a leg, it usually cost me a valuable hour of my time, most of which was spent with the beautician trying to make small talk about things I had no interest in. Im a busy person and dont have time to spend 45+ minutes at a salon just to get a wax, but I know that I can always pop in at the International Salon after work or a quick lunch break and Ill be done in less than 15 minutes (you have to go when there is no wait, so I usually aim for 2 pm or so). Even now that I moved out of the city this is the only place that I come to because of the great job they do, and at very affordable prices to boot! You cant find that kind of experience in most places in the Philly area.

This was not only the fastest and most thorough experience I have ever had with getting a Brazilian, Emma was also genuine and took such pride in her work.The shop is not all fru-fru and smelling of herbs and SPA, but its very clean. She introduced herself, asked me what I do on a regular basis for hair removals, we talked about my career, then we were married as she said. And she was right. I could not believe she was DONE. It was maybe 10 minutes and NOTHING was there. We talked about care after the wax and she asked me to write a review about my experience.Ladies, I know most of us say we want the spa experience and want to relax, but we dont have time. We work full time, we have kids and responsibilities, and we just want to get it done. This woman is experienced and understanding of not wasting the time of the working woman. Her price is very reasonable ($35) and that chocolate wax is the best thing I have ever felt on my skin.Go and find out for yourself. This has been the most fastest waxing I have ever had in my life. The place was very clean and the person was very perfesional. I would definitely come back..fast,cheap, and clean.

I was a little hesitant at first because the place is small and kind of tucked away between larger shops, but once I entered I knew I was in the right place. I needed a bikini and upper leg wax and they took me right away. I think I was waxed by the owners daughter. Everyone is so friendly and it was quick and almost painless. I was charged $30 for the upper leg and only $10 for the bikini because she said it was just a clean up. So cheap! Then, she gave me a lip wax for free! Definitely going to go back there again.

I found out about this place through my mothers coworkers. I went yesterday (Thursday) for the first time and for my very first brazilian. I love the fact that I was in and out in a matter of what? 10 minutes!Based on a lot of reviews I read before making the trip, I can say I didnt feel as though the women there were mean or rude at all! They were not over the top friendly, but they were far from rude and mean. They were nice.Aside from that, Emma was great, fast and got the job done. It was a little painful for me but she talked me through it to keep my mind off it, and before I knew it I was done. This definitely beats going to some expensive spa, getting waxed for what feels like hours. And the wax she uses smells sooo good, like chocolate. Ill definitely be back.

I got a Brazilian wax the Friday before the holiday long weekend and could not be happier with my experience. First of all, I was able to walk in without an appointment, which is impossible at most places in the city. More importantly, the wax was EXCELLENT. It was everything you can ever ask for in a wax-- thorough and over before you know it. Natasha who did my wax was very friendly and engaging and I couldnt believe how quickly the wax went by and what a great job she did. I have been to many of the top spas in the city for waxes (where you can never get a day of wax appointment) and found those other placers to be a LOT more expensive with a lower quality/thoroughness wax. I will only go to International Salon for waxing from now on!

This is the ONLY salon I go to for a wax. I tried European Wax Center once and it was not the same. At the Intl Salon, they operate so quickly and make minimal conversation. The chocolate wax feels nice going on and doesnt hurt as bad as other waxes (like blue beaded ones at Euro Wax Centr) coming off. Sometimes the price for my wax fluctuates but thats only when Im especially hairy or particularly squirmy. You can pay cash or card and always get some Wax-Off when youre done. Im brown so the wax blends in with my skin and sometimes the lingering stickiness irritates my newly waxed skin. If youre looking for something quick, easy and as pain free as wax can be, go to International Salon. You wont regret it.

Been coming for years and have tried a ton of salons, international is the best and Emma is the queeeen. Hands down the best most painless fastest and most affordable prices. She is so quick I’m in the toom less than a minute for a full brazilllian and under arm and she always waxed my eyebrows perfectly which is a challenge when you’re starting out with super thin brows to begin with.

Im ONLY giving 3 stars because the lady who answers the phone (shes so sweet) is friendly and always smile and because my braziilian was done right.I went to Emma numerous times (4-5 times) over the cost of 1yr due to her prices. However her work is sloppy and rushed (Theres a difference when someone is fast/efficient and when they rushed the work)! I have gone to others but couldnt continue because they prices were so high but their work is great.My last experience (due to me not having enough money to go to another salon) was 2 months ago. Went in for a Brazilian and a full leg. I told her what I was getting and I didnt want a rush service. She advised me she had enough time.She started with my legs and she applied a thick glob of wax from my knees down to my ankles and then began to apply the wax strips. One word----PAIN! She applied the wax so thick and then began removing the strip which involves the strips sticking to the wax and her having to pull extra hard to remove it and THEN BLAMED it on me having oils on my skin (which I didnt). She saw that hair was still visible but moved along and proceeded to wax other areas of my legs smh.Oh! and no I dont shave in between my waxes.Now on to the Brazilian. That was the only thing she did right. She got all the hair off but she didnt use gloves (which was weird and then had the nerve to brag about how she was a nurse) and doubled dipped. It was very painful and I was left bruised...skin was red and blistered where I needed to apply medicine. Like I said...she may be fast but shes rough and rush the work. I dont know how she has so many good reviews but my experiences have always been horrible every time I go. And Im always foolish enough to go back expecting change.What made me more upset was that she rise the price because she said I was too hairy. So I paid $125 PLUS tipped which equals $140 in total.I plan to budget waxing in my income and pay for quality.
