I get a fairly stereotypical haircut, long/ combover/ back on top with a shorter buzz on the side. The conversation was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice. The haircut itself was average at best, and thats being generous. It was poorly blended and imprecise. On top of that, the prices were 2x that of barbershops in Philly that have given me a much better cut. I am very low maintenance, have never been dissatisfied with a professional haircut, and again get probably the most stereotypical, common haircut.Hairdresser was also quite rude to his younger assistant, but she did laugh along with it and did not seem to mind, so not knowing their relationship I will not judge harshly on that front.The haircut sucked and was expensive. I will not be returning.

I recently started going to Denim (have been in for 4 haircuts) and have been absolutely blown away not only at the fantastic customer service but the quality of the haircut I’ve received. Denim will be the only place that I go to for all my future hair needs. If you are skeptical about going to Denim you can rest assured that you are in good hands and may proceed with confidence.

Attaching a photo of my reservation since the responses to the lower reviews are cant find your name in our booking systemCame in and was greeted kindly. Only Chris and Haley were in the store. Was asked how I heard of the place and replied google/yelp. He immediately started telling me about he had recently received a bunch of 1 star reviews on google and that they seemed suspicious. Also went on to talk about how hes hiring because so many people have been unable to continue working there. I asked for a simple clean haircut that was short on the sides and longer on the top and specifically asked that it not be too shortA majority of the time he was arguing with haley about when to order the pizza they were going to have for lunch while cutting my hair. He kept cutting the top shorter and shorter until I mentioned it was getting too short for me. Told me it would look fine once he brought in the sides. It did not. He also offered to do my eyebrows which consisted of him running the clippers over them once.Overall I didnt notice anything different about my eye brows, the vibe in the shop was awkward, and the haircut did not turn out how I wanted it. It was too short and like a couple of the negative reviews before me have described it the shape up was just round. Way too short on top and its fairly uneven (he was talking to Haley the whole time).I paid cash (it is cash only, and maybe its on the website but its not obvious if it is - I never saw it) and tipped but honestly I ended up with the same haircut I wasnt happy with when I was a kid from great clips/supercuts except instead of $15 it was $47

I took my son here a few months ago. The barber barely got it low and even and his shape up was just round. Never again. I could have shaped it up better if I have done it.

This would be the place to go before an event where you want to look your best. They take their time to give you a quality haircut. They also keep the place pristine.

I was welcomed by Eve (who took my temperature and offered me a selection of beverages). I was a little early for my appointment, but Keith was ahead of schedule and got me in the chair prior to my appointment time. I gave him free rein on what to do with my hair and he gave me a layered bob that looks amazing! Ive been walking around touching my hair for the last 24 hours! Also working were Chris and Brian and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming as well. The waiting area decor is beautiful; the bathroom was sparkling; the whole experience was great! FIVE STARS and then some!

I love Barbershop Denim! You walk into the shop and youre immediately drawn into the atmosphere. Everything from the original artwork, music and professional staff makes your experience perfectly enjoyable. I rarely wait, but when I do I always have a complementary drink to sip on and a cool show to watch on the TV. I go to Keith for my haircut and for 50 dollars its a great deal for a fantastic womens haircut in the city. Cant say enough about how great this place is!

I’ve been going to Barbershop Denim for 4+ years and you cannot go wrong here. This is the best barbershop in Philly. All the barbers are top notch - If they’re working at this shop, they can cut. There is a great overall and welcoming vibe that keeps me coming back.

First time getting my haircut here. Im making Barbershop Denim my spot. Walked in 10 minutes early for my appointment. Was greeted immediately. Sarah cut my hair, she rocks. Great conversation with her and everyone else in the place. I went in with some instructions and pictures of how I wanted my hair and beard cut. Sarah knocked it out of the park. I LOVED Barbershop Denim. My go to place. All the reviews here are true. Great atmosphere. Awesome cuts. But this last cut warrants a review. Had a cut with a new employee Sarah who said she’s been there for a week. But with all due respect, this was absolutely one of the WORST haircuts Ive ever had. She did only one sideburn. Right hand side looks nothing like left. She was great at talking, but AWFUL at cutting hair. Sorry, but if I return I’ll request to not have this girl cut my hair.

My husband has been going here since they opened- he even had the groomsmen get ready here before our wedding. Chris always does a stellar job, especially considering cutting Asian hair is no easy task. Id spent many hours sitting on his comfy couch waiting for my husband when I finally decided to get my own pixie cut cleaned up by Jenna. Cant say enough good things about this place!

This place is great. Barbers know what they are doing. Great vibe, free drinks, and a good place to hang out. It has a warm feel. My haircut cost $40 and I got what I paid for.

If youre looking for a good cut/fade and or taper, then Denim is the place to set time aside for. I usually get a nice side/temple taper, and style the top accordingly. Usually I have to visit 2 hair spots. One to get the back and sides done, then another to get the top cut properly, but Jenna B hooked it up something amazing. She does men and womens hair like some sort of Asian hair Wizard.. Definitely go check her out, especially if youve been having trouble getting exactly the cut youre looking for!!

Came in a complete mess, left his chair a different man. I told Chris to go nuts, do whatever he thought would look best... He spent more time on my beard then I ever have and sculpted the perfect cut for my lumpy ass head.Chris gave me an excellent haircut in a super chill environment keeping me laughing the whole time. I searched yelp for hours trying to find the perfect shop for my personality and he knocked it out of the park.

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago to get cleaned up. New to the city and havent established a barber just yet.Jenna did a great job giving me exactly the cut I wanted and even touched up my beard a little bit. I thought the service was great, the shop is cool and clean, and the conversation wasnt your typical banter (which was entertaining). My only drawback is the price - at $35 for a mens cut Id at least expect a shampoo and maybe a free beer (just for the hell of it). Id reconsider coming back simply because of the price (and no student discount..?). Otherwise this is definitely a solid barber shop that appears to do great work.

They said “yes” to me and my brother.The whole haircut was rushed,especially for a $40 haircut, they cut our hair within less than 15 minutesThey don’t accept card, So they have a ATM in store. Who the hell doesn’t accept credit card?My brother had long hair which was going to take longer to cut, they stopped cutting his hair half way through because they had a a scheduled appointment arrive.Totally unprofessional!!They asked my brother to wait, to start the process again and we told them no.Would not recommend.
