I can’t say enough about the professionalism at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. The level of compassion this team had for the loss of my precious mother blew myself and my family away. When we talked to our funeral director Paul Hope and told him things about my mom he quietly wrote things down. The day I walked into my mom’s service I was brought to tears and overwhelmed by the absolute beauty. They described my mother’s life by telling her story all around the room. Everything was exactly like my mom. It looked as if my mom set the room up her self. My mom’s death was a complete shock and we were unprepared, so seeing the level of excellence this amazing staff took to make us feel a little better on the worst day of our lives was unprecedented. I would like to personally thank Paul Hope and his amazing team for everything they did for my mom, and my family. I can’t express the gratitude I have for each and everyone of them. Eric, Todd, Lashanda, and the whole team at the life event center at Florida memorial are absolutely amazing and that’s an understatement. Everyone was extremely professional, attentive, caring, and incredible to work with.Losing my dad is easily the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. My brothers and I have never had to plan a wake before, and really had no idea what to expect.We were blown away by the service provided, the detail, decorations, beauty, and just how much everything in the room screamed our dad. You could see how much planning, thought, and effort was put into it. Everyone that attended said they had never been to a wake anything like this one, and it made me so happy to hear. Our dad was the absolute best.. he deserved the best, and he got the best.I cannot thank everyone at the Life Center at Florida Memorial enough for everything they did to make such a devastating day into something so beautiful. The staff at Florida Memorial was great in helping set up the viewing and service for my mom. Eric and Lashwanda were great to work with.The problem we had was that we had ordered a catering service for after the funeral. Right before the viewing, I was informed that there wouldnt be a catering service as either staff hadnt sent in the order to the caterer or the caterer messed up. We were offered pizza, burgers, Chinese or anything. We chose Chinese but that was hardly the same as the catered food.

I lost my mother July 1. My parents had preplanned their funerals. The care and concern I received from the life event center was outstanding. I highly recommend you use their professional services. They buried mom next to my dad and now I will be preplanning to give my children the same consideration.

Eric and Lashaunda from the beginning to the end were very caring and held our hands through the process. We didn’t know what to do and they made sure that we understood everything that we needed to do to bury our mom. Any questions we had were answered. The staff was very empathetic and caring and they did not leave our side at the funeral.Family and friends are still talking about how excellent the funeral was. You never expect to get the call that your father has passed away. With no idea what to do next, I called the life center and they graciously walked me through the whole process of getting dad from the hospital to a viewing and finally cremation. My family was shattered by his unexpected death. Our first meeting with Meagan put us all at ease. She was so understanding of our emotional state as she guided us through arrangements, photos, songs and a guest books for dad’s memorial. She followed up on every detail even arranging for someone to speak at the memorial of over 50 guests. The wonderful staff created displays of flowers and even loaded them into our cars after the service. We are ever so thankful.

My 96 yo mother’s funeral was held at a beautiful, modern facility; an attentive, friendly and helpful staff guided my family throughout the entire process; overall it was a very well coordinated event; lovely, fresh flowers; good food and catering service; excellent preparation for open casket visitation. Also provided helpful, printed follow up information and offer bereavement counseling 13 months. All the services required in one location simplified the process.

All attention to detail was exceptional, staff was kind and curtious. Our needs were met with the budget in hand.

They provided wonderful service from start to finish, especially Eric who was the celebrant and Angela who helped with burial plots.

We enjoyed our meeting with Ashley for such a somber topic! We felt it strange to spend this time planning our funeral arrangements of all things. But because they were amazing with both my fathers funeral, and just recently my mothers funeral, my husband and I didnt want to put it off any longer. We KNOW how much easier it was to finish funeral arrangements for my parents because all we did was to honor their wishes, their existing plans. They prepaid most of all the expenses. The family paid for embellishments. Michael and I decided that we wanted to make it easy for our own children. Thank you Ashley and staff for putting so much care into our custom plans.

Paul Hope was amazing! He was so very helpful, taking as much time as my Mom and I needed to walk through the options available as we planned our services for my father’s graveside services, and the Memorial Gathering afterwards. Paul coordinated with the Patriot Guard and finalized the Chaplain services from Patrick AFB. The Honor Guard was requested through Patrick AFB, and from AFTAC if possible. The Graveside Service with Full Military Honors was beautiful. My brother made arrangements for a Bagpipe player to play three songs, one of which was Amazing Grace.Paul’s team’s attention to detail for the Living Story, the set-up for the food and drink for the Memorial Gathering, and the finishing touches placed in the photo selection and placement in the story of the pictures allowing us to view memories from my father’s life made the day special to both myself and my family. The staff at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial truly provide a ministry to grieving families. Every interaction I had, whether email, phone call, or appointment in person was so calming and reassuring. My requests were important to them and were followed perfectly. From our first meeting the morning after my Grandmothers passing to the moment of our last goodbye, Tom S. was an amazing support- making sure everything was in place, solidly coming alongside our family to make our way smooth. Every detail was attended to above and beyond my expectations. I was able to focus on our friends who visited without having to worry about any tasks- they were all attended to seamlessly. Our family had nothing but a positive experience with Life Event Center at Florida Memorial. At a time when our emotions were escalating and our reasoning and decision making was limited, all staff at Life Event Centerwas respectful and considerate of our deficits. The few concerns I did have and extra calls that were necessary, appeared to already be planned by the facility and I only needed reassurance.A additional accommodation to Adrian for his most impressive professionalism and administration of his duties. at 3:AM with a grieving family. If leaving a Rose (unexpectedly) is part of the facility program I wholeheartedly encourage continuation of such a thoughtful practice.

The professionalism and service extended to my family and I after the recent passing of my mother by the staff here was exceptional. Her funeral was a challenge as she passed in Oklahoma and needed to rest here. However, the staff took everything off my plate from coordination with the local funeral home that received her, the transportation arrangements and clearances so she could get home, to the final funeral and internment services. I find it difficult these days to get such exceptional care and service anywhere that these folks delivered flawlessly. They have my sincere appreciation and gratitude. This team did an absolutely exceptional job with the services and arrangements for my father. We came in stunned because of the circumstances—with very little clue what to do. Tom and the staff here walked us through every step, handled it superbly, and helped us plan a memorial service that reflected the uniqueness of my father. They created a stunningly special environment that was tailored to tell my father’s story and delivered an incredible, positive punctuation to the end of his life.

The life event center has very caring staff. They go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. We could not have asked for more in the honoring of our departed loved one.

At a very difficult time, everyone at the Life Event Center was caring and compassionate. I could tell that the feelings were genuine and not just a show for the job. I never felt rushed or pressured to make any decision. They found a wonderful minister for me since my loved one had not been associated with a specific church for a long time--and he was so kind. Two of my family members are buried there, and I am at peace.

My Mom passed away while we were out of town and during the holidays. I was alone, with no family support of any kind and not handling it very well at all. Tom was extremely understanding, very patient and kept in touch offering any support I needed. He made all the arrangements I needed. Was able to change things at the last minute with very short notice. The entire staff was extremely friendly, accomodating and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone based on the way they they treated my family on the occasion of my Mother’s Home going as well as when my Daddy went Home to be with The Lord almost 2 years ago. I praise God for the people He puts in our lives at the times we need them most.
