I would not recommend purchasing tickets from this venue from anywhere but at the door at showtime if you would like to see someone. I am still holding 3 tickets to a “postponed” Pauly Shore show (Original Show dates were 4/10 and 11, 2020… then moved to 10/23 and 24, 2020… then moved to 3/26 and 27, 2021… now Postponed.) that I cannot get a refund for because it is still listed as postponed rather than canceled . After reaching out to the venue about it I was told they’re still working on putting this show back together a year and a half later and that my tickets would still good for when they do. They can’t refund the ticket though because the event is postponed and not canceled. With the recent surges and the returning mandates, I fear there’s a good chance something will be “postponed” again at some point. Given my previous experience, this venue will not refund your ticket purchases for that since it’s canceled shows will be placed in postponed limbo and your money held hostage.I can certainly understand that there were some extenuating circumstances. That being said though, if you do not have at least a vague idea of a date for an event reschedule after it being postponed for a year, your event is no longer postponed it’s canceled. Refund your customers. Doing otherwise just seems like a really dishonest way of conducting business.
Show was good but the 2 drink minimum is totally absurd. Especially when theyre $15 a piece. And 18% gratuity applied automatically. Will never be back due to these 2 things.
Excellent comedy show and nice venue with perfect acoustics, good service, tasty food and comfortable seating. Lower rating as they nickel and dime you with extra costs - 2 drink minimum per person (~$15 ea drink!!), automatic $18% gratuity, and a huge $36 “convenience fee” added to my charge card (an absurd amount which wasn’t disclosed in advance!!) and pricey food items made this a VERY expensive evening - over $115 for 2 people on top of the show tickets. I’d rather go somewhere nicer and pay more for the tickets than be nickel and dimed. Disappointed to see such a nice venue being so poorly managed
🧡 Pandemic Poetry 💜@justmikethepoet@maui_w@IamKiraJI am big on poetry and this was my first time going to a show. The entire experience was amazing, I was able to meet and greet some of my favs, the food was good and got delivered quickly, the staff were amazing as well. The seats were very up close and the establishment was spacious.
The only good thing about Punchline is the comedy. Parking was horrendous. There is a parking down the street that looks like you wont make it out alive! The place itself is ok. What was awful was the service, the food, the drinks. There was only 1 waitress for a whole room full of people. The food was awful, burnt and super expensive. The charged almost $30 for an appetizer sampler that was served in a small box. The food was overcooked, some even burnt. The drinks run about $15 and up. Wouldnt mind if the actually put alcohol in them. But you are required to buy 2 drinks so you will spend $30-40 and feel like you drank water. The comedy was enjoyable. I suggest if you go here, eat before you go and take a flask with you! Punchline should be ashamed of their food and drink prices and quality.
The official parking lot was sketchy but free. Im not sure if it normally is free or just free the day I was there. But the building was nice. The bathrooms clean. The staff friendly and quick. The food and drinks were good. I had a great time and will definitely go again.
Nice comedy show venue, I got a good seat but not crazy about the 2 drink minimum. They should tell you thatll be a requirement when you buy the tickets to the show. I guess I understand tho thats how they make their money.
The place was nice but the comedy show was not so good.
The drag brunch is much fun!! The menu is a little pricey, but worth it. The themed drinks are all so cute (most had edible glitter and some sort of keepsake!). If you bring a 20, they will exchange it for singles to tip the performers. We saw the Abba theme which was spectacular, but the whole show was a blast.
Went for a late show on a Friday night, seating was easy, club was clean, tables were not too tight. If youre favorite comic is going to be there, the punchline will make sure you have a good time.
Went to see one of my long-time favorite comedians Talent. Great show and the food and drinks were good.
Went to the drag brunch. The host and dining staff were awesome. Looking at the line up for more of the brunch shows already! 2 thumbs up for the drag show. Ive been here before for comedy as well. But the brunch was delicious.
I attended the Drag Brunch, and it was just amazing. All the queens brought their own style and elegance. Paula Dean-white had amazing music and dance routines, Lady geisha with her trendy style and dances, Anita Manhattan with her retro style and music, and Bev was just so hilarious! The best part of all was the way the queens made the audience feel, the joy and excitement was so evident among the entire crowd.
Went for drag brunch and it was so fun. They had the tables separated which I loved. You didnt have any strangers next to you. Food was ok. The drag queens were fun and memorable. I would def come back.
Great atmosphere, staff are friendly, the food is great, and the beverages are worth the 2 drink minimum! They host some great acts and never fail to deliver great night out
We were there for a drag show brunch. The show was great but the food/service was not. Waffles came with syrup on them, not on the side like the server said, when it was asked to be on the side - luckily the person was ok with how much and the taste of the syrup. The biscuits and gravy was a really small portion and had almost no flavor. We asked for non-alcoholic drinks and a half-hour later had to ask for them again. The alcoholic drinks we did have must have been bottom bottom shelf because the liquor tasted bad and gave us a headache by the time we got home.
Had alot of fun, went to see Cory Holcomb on 8/7/21. Drinks were very tasty; over priced but thats the game. The food we ordered was cheese steak egg rolls and they were good, the only thing we didnt like was they had a 2 drink minimum.
Compared to the filmore a lot more space. Setting an environment is nice. Food is average, drinks are outrageously high but for a comedy club its expected. Deff a good spot for up and coming comedians.
It was a very funny show Corey Holcomb is the truth. We had a great time there. The staff was good also
Great show, first drink was good the second not so much for $16 both should be spectacular. Food was meh.
First time there. I had a great time. I laughed so hard my side was hurting me . The drinks are very good too .
Our food was THEE WORST. Mozzarella sticks was cold, fries came out cold and my friend food was still frozen on the inside
Everyone who works here is lovely! The presenter/host was funny and good-natured, the staff is attentive, and theres free parking. Whats not to love?
Hilarious comics, great drinks, great service! Will definitely return! :-)
Food was good but expensive, $20 for a little thing nachos is crazy, plus $10 for cheesesteak rolls but you only get two like the size of a shrimp roll at the Chinese store. I didnt like that its a two drink minimum per person, like what if you dont drink? The drinks were reallyyy good!! Overall great experience.
Good midweek show! 2 drink minimum is a bit of a bummer when you are a non drinker! More non alcoholic specialty options would be great!
Good place to see a show. Since its not a really big venue, all of the seats are decent enough and you can see the stage.
Drinks are way overpriced I understand they have to make some money but Ive been to other places and they are way overpriced
Great club. Great comics, I’ll be on the big stage one day. Mark my words!
Great night Sunday 8/15; - Jay Black is high-larious
All in all it was a fun night. Wasnt happy with the drinks and the prices. Because the drinks wasnt worth the money. It tasted like juice only. The food was ok. The staff was alright. The show I came for was cool.
Punchline always seems to be on their A game whenever I attend an event. No complaints from me. Keep up the great work.
My favorite comedy club, I really like the space given for each table.
Nice venue but seats are very uncomfortable, lol. My poor behind is sore! ☹
This was my first time here and I had a good time. The seating is very small, about 3 people to a table. So be prepared for that. Food was okay but I came to see Renny so it was all good.
New experience for me. Nice ambience. Comedians were were funny. Relaxing fun time.
Had so much fun in the brunch! Some reviews are definitely outdated
This place is great! The show we saw was hilarious and the space and staff are inviting! Well be back.
Comics were good. They we very odd with the seating. There was no clear line to be in either... Also, No one must have purchased prefered because a huge part of the front row was empty. Why not just fill it up? So awkward for the comedians. They even pointed it out. Are these people showing up? *points to all the empty tables up front*The food was absolutely terrible and so were the portions. With the two drink minimum be prepared to spend $15 on a coors light! Our server was very nice but it took forever to get anything, food drinks etc. Bathrooms were dirty and stunk as well.
I went to see Turae and Friends a couple of weeks ago. Two seater tables were a change but nice. The parking lot at the end of the block offered free parking. Drink minimum was reasonable. Good laughs and a good evening.
First time ever at a poetry reading. Had a blast. Venue was nice and professional. Definitely will be attending again.
Had a good time no problems..parking was up the street.
THE VENUE IS REALLY NICE. THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD IS GOOD. WE LIKED THE CHICKEN SANDWICH AND THE NACHOS WERE HEALTHY, HEAVY ON EER THING. I WAS THERE TO JUDGE JASON BOWMEN MONTCLAIR S BALL. IT WAS OVAH!!!!
Great place... Comedy show staring Majah Hype, was the best.. Had a good time in a pleasant atmosphere, with guest and the workers.
Service was good but corey holcomb was great
Parking lot was shut down but the place was spacious and they served food and drinks. The comedy I saw was a good one.
The venue and staff was nice, really enjoyed the atmosphere. But way over priced and not worth what they charged. Very disappointed in the acts themselves. Not a big deal that none of the comedians were sober but obviously unprepared. Tony Woods and the guy before him kept forgetting their material or topics. Seemed like amateurs trying to find a laugh.
I got a free ticket to come here as part of a Yelp Elite event and was still disappointed in my experience. I purchased a discount ticket for a friend to join me. I would never, ever pay full price to come here. 3 of the 5 comedy acts were funny, the other two were decidedly not and the host was not that great either. The good thing about this place is that food comes extremely fast. They must have everything pre-made because within seconds of ordering the food arrived at the table on three different occasions for my group of 6. The service was great in the beginning, then our server disappeared for a while when I needed another drink and re-appeared when it was time to pay the bill. Although I received an email stating that Yelpers would receive 20% off of their entire bill, the server told me it only counted for my portion of the bill, not my friends (even though I was paying the whole thing) then came back and said it was only for food and not for drinks which means only one item would be discounted. Considering that I didnt like the food or drink I ordered (the lemon pepper wings were tiny, hard, and overcooked but had a good flavor) and came only because of this Yelp event, I was very unhappy. I spoke to a manager and they finally agreed to honor the policy that had been sent out in writing. I really like the area that this place is in, but will not be visiting again
Very clean. Good seating
It can be a fun night out depending on who the comedian is your going to see. But overall it is what you expect from a comedy club meaning its not a restaurant so plan on eating before or after your show because the menu has very few items to choose from. More like an snack menu. But I do appreciate that they try to enforce the whole social distancing before & during the show. But you can only do so much because people are going to be people. There are rules in place for a reason whether or not people follow them is a different story. But I do appreciate the effort by the punch line staff. Overall I do recommend visiting the Punch Line Philly for a good night out!
A good place to watch a show. They have a 2drink minimum so be prepared. The parking is a bit vague. They wanted me to pre pay for a free lot & not sure why. The ticket for the show should have been enough plus the 2 over priced drinks. The show was good. I would go back to see another show. The place could use a lil better lighting as well. The food needs to be upgraded. This is Philadelphia we are known to have good food at most places.
It was amazing....the crowdPlastic cup boys were amazing...the host is hilarious and it felt clean and safe ...great date night
Great venue! Its smaller but cozy, great ambiance, the staff is very friendly and fun!
Great atmosphere would go back
While I did enjoy the plastic cup boys comedy show on friday evening, where my experience went wrong is with my waitress. She spilled my drink all over my table and on my lap. She brought paper towels and left me and my mother to clean up the mess she made. She never returned to our table after the incident. I left my number and a message for management but was never contacted about the incident. Accidents do happen but her response, lack of apology and no commitment to correcting the situation is unacceptable.
Just a wonderful time with friends.
Our first visit was a fantastic experience! Cant wait for another show!
Spacious unlike other comedy clubs .
Nice aesthetics of the location and friendly staff. Parking can be hard to find so get to your event early to save the stress. They have a MINIMUM 2 drink PER PERSON policy and the prices on the menu were quite high so just be prepared to spend! Our $5 pepsi tasted diluted and they don’t give you the full bottle either (glass was filled with ice too) Red Bull and Water - $5 each and the alcoholic cocktails were in the $15 upwards region. Food wise we got a small serving of chips and guac which was a whopping $15....We would never go back but i’m sure others will maybe think these prices are cheap.
I had a wonderful time and cant wait to go back.
Diva Drag Brunch! This was the most fun Ive had in a long time. The drinks at the bar had a kick -- one drink was included in the admission price along with a light brunch menu of about eight selections, i.e. Eggs Benedict, Omelets, Cobb Salad, Grits and Shrimp were a few. Our food came out timely, and everything was hot. The performances were awesome. I will go back to see a different show in the future.
I love this place! Always runs smoothly! Great options. I like how they switch the menu up from time to time, including cocktails. Ill be moving away soon but Ill be sure to come back for my favorite acts!!
Absolutely loved every second!! Seen Josh Wolf! Best time Ive had in a longgg time!! Will be returning!!
Great show!!!! Delicious food!!Awesome staff!! Following covid protocols to a T! Felt safe & comfortable!! Cant wait to go back!!!
Cold! Outside in a parking lot...portapotties! So not cool! Slave auction style. False advertising. Did not share where located. Folks were expecting to be inside...we were all surprised. Limited options on food and drinks. Total disappointment!
Kitchen closes early. I like rhe outside experience
Went for the Drag Diva Brunch and had a BLAST! The stage and seating area was comfortable, it wasnt too loud, and even though the place was fully sold-out it didnt feel over-crowded. The performers definitely gave it their all, and the tickets included a free mimosa (or bloody Mary) and omelette (or other brunch meal), which was nice. Would definitely go back!
It was okay. Security guard was really cool and down to earth. Our waitress was nice. It took a really long time for the frozen drinks because they just turned them on when we ordered. We only ordered fries with beer cheese. There was a problem with the bill toward the end. So missed the end of the last act while the manager just argued with us. It was straightened out when it was over. We were told the comedian was asking what was going on while we were talking. The entire show was being filmed. Disappointed in missing the rest of his gig.The crowd was in good spirits. A couple got engaged before the show. The boyfriend sang a song to her at the tables while their friends videoed the moment. It was sweet and romantic. One of the comedians busted on them later about not picking a better place to get engaged. Was told her ring was beautiful, and so was she. The crowd age was between 20s and 60s.Subjects of the comedian script pertained to relationships, politics, race, and gender. All the tension that our country faces today. Had a few giggles and laughs. Some were in poor taste, some were right on mark.Over all the show was good. We tipped the waitress by our first bill, once adjusted, she got the difference. No cameras, cell phones, or recording devices allowed during the show. A woman sitting at out table was accused of having her cellphone on in her lap by security. When her cellphone was sticking out of her purse sitting on the table. It was off.Another distraction during the show. She was falsely accused. My group sat with another 2 groups at the table.Waitress added our bill with another group. It was another inconvenience but we worked it out among us.It would have been a better show all around without the constant disruptions. These comedians work hard to put this show together. Management needs an upgrade to ensure the crowd is at least comfortable and can watch the show. Like it states on their menu. No talking during the show. Will update when I have all the comedian names. Was told one was on the late show on TV.The show itself was organized and they did an excellent job.The only reason for the 4 stars.
This place was great. Everyone from the host to the headliner were fantastic. There is a 2 item minimum order to consider if youre worried about it, but the show was great and definitely worth it. Its a very well setup place, and their drink prices are pretty competitive for being a private establishment.
Nice place. Parking tight
The service was great the comics not so much
Very relaxing atmosphere, and overall a really great venue to see a comedy show. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a good time with some laughs! We will definitely be going back there. We did get VIP tickets and were happy with where we were seated, but there is not a bad seat in the place. 5 Stars for Punch Line Philly!
Drinks are a little pricey. But overall absolutely fantastic experience.
Saw Godfrey at Punchline and loved the way the venue accommodated social distancing. It was a comfortable setting, great service, nice ambiance, awesome show. It was a great night!!
The show was great. The facility is big but the drinks are very expensive. The Helium Club is not as expensive. The food was fine and I guess those prices are competitive.
Nice atmosphere. Enjoyed show.
Chicken bites dont have chicken in them.
Nice venue. Website struggled when ordering tickets.
Nice place and I love Philadelphia 💘
