What a wonderful place for travelers and locals alike! If youre in the south philly area and it is definitely a must see. The museum goes over everything from the history of the parade, to the intricacies of the costumes, to the designs from the drawing board. You can even dress up in mummers costumes and hats! The museum is free but make sure you throw in a dollar or two to keep the place going. We went on a Saturday afternoon and we were the only ones at the museum. There is some parking behind the building and street parking everywhere. The basement of the museum is also an event space for up to 200 people I believe.

An Historic Event that ushered in Every New Year in Philadelphia. The Museum is full of Treasures. Mummers are a Brotherhood/Sisterhood. They devote a large amount of time and effort to this One Day. Sadly I Believe the Parade lost some of its Glitter when it changed its Starting point from South of Oregon ave. In South Philly. Still these People should be Honored for their Devotion and Participation. A Unique Event.Pure Philly!

A small friendly museum - not very....up to date or modern. Think of yourself in the 50s to add to your experience. Worth a quick stop if you have time and if you want a little real mummer experience.

Definitely not something most people know much about but one person in our party did and it was worth the visit. A labor of love for those involved and a rich history. Just take some time to take it in. Admission is free although donations are accepted. Not hard to find and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Fascinating slice of culture..

The staff was great treated everyone like family, they had great space downstairs to host events, with a full service bar and great parking. A definite consideration for anyone hosting a party or family event.

I have never experienced a more unprofessional staff in my life! Trudi St Marie and Mark Montanaro were disrespectful to my entire family while attending an event at the mummers museum. Trudi screamed at our 5-8 year old children calling them animals for running up the stairs and acting like children. Mark was observed inviting people into the party that were not invited guests. When my family approached them Trudi called us drunk and began screaming this is my museum get out. Trudi and Mark are ignorant disrespectful and lack a severe amount of customer service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HALL! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE!
