Also had state inspections done on my Fleetwood Bounder motor home. I was pleasantly surprised to find this quality shop so close to home. They were able to get me in quickly, gave me a comprehensive report on my motor home, completed work rapidly while I waited. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. I felt like I could trust the work done for the first time after taking my motor home to different places in the last few years. I will definitely be coming back.

No one like when things get broken 🥵, so we unhappy and looking for someone to fix it and make us feel HAPPY again. 😉We doing research to find the right person to do that. We looking for professional. 🧐We want to face the problem to him, step back and wait when it’s done.Maybe Dave’s service did a lot of happy customers, but that wasn’t my experience.I gave my vehicle for full inspection without pointing on specific things. After inspecting he returned to me with list of thighs to fix. Ok, i have nothing else but fix them. After-while when job is done i came to pick up and noticed something that was overlooked and pointed to it. He admitted:”sorry, but that was not included in price and it’s also will fail inspection and need to be fixed”And of course can’t be done right away, need make another trip. 😠Later that evening I noticed something else that was overlooked and it not SAFE for me and others the road. Very UNHAPPY 😡Called next day morning complaining and accusing for not professional inspections and service. For Entire conversation was no “sorry” or “let’s make this right” but basically “everything was working yesterday and don’t waist my time”.🤬The lesson is. No one is perfect and we can’t Blindly relying on someone else. I should of be at the moment of inspection and pointing with the finger. And after all work done slowly inspect everything again.Overall Very Not Happy 🤬🤬🤬 with experience and solution provided ( witch is no solution but to make another trip and start over again and pay extra) to make me feel good and willing to come again.

Been coming here for about 10 years now. The mechanics here really do a deep-dive into your auto. Youll likely find out you may have some issues (mostly in the near future) that other mechanics may not find, but its good to know these guys (and gals) do it right. Might be on the somewhat pricey side, but the work is done RIGHT. Tinas extremely nice working the desk in a hectic environment due to the amount of customers and quick turnaround times.Im moving next spring, but Im looking at how I can still bring my car back here in the future as Daves had never steered me wrong (no - that wasnt an intended put, and no Im not a paid shill).-K

Very friendly place for RV state inspection and repairs. It was overbooked so I got my RV back several days later. They took photos of the checkpoints they examined to let you know where should be cared of.

The company I work for was considering purchasing a used Isuzu box truck remotely, as we are located in another state. Bought a vehicle out of state and had them perform a pre-purchase inspection. Although they do run a little higher than other places I had called, they were more thorough and well worth every penny. Each time I spoke with Dave Jr on the phone, he was more than accommodating and honest no matter what I threw his way. They found numerous minor issues so it was well worth having it done.

I had selected Daves as my Independent Recommended Installer for a set or tires I ordered from Tire Rack, not really knowing what to expect from the process. When a slow leak turned into a fast one, the super-friendly staff worked with me to get the new tires on as soon as possible. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for friendly car service.

Was given a quote of $1500 and told that I had a bad thermostat and hoses on top of a bad radiator. Turns out the hoses and thermostat were in perfect condition and the radiator only needed replaced. $480 fix, not $1500!

My husband and I moved to NE Philly a few years ago. We had an issue with one of cars, but all of our trusted mechanics were no longer near by us. Were both members of AAA, so my husband did some research on their website. We found good reviews on Daves Auto and Truck Service, so we decided to give them a try. We are both very glad we did. Their customer service skills are far better than any other auto place that weve been to. They have a concierge service that I depend on, since I work an 9-5 job. Tina is so friendly and pleasant over the phone and she always goes above and beyond for her customers. Dave Sr & Dave Jr are both very knowledgeable, fair and most importantly - honest. They even send an email out to you regarding any car issues. The email includes a detailed description and images of the issue. We are very fortunate to have found them.

I tried using another mechanic for a cheap inspection as my car is in pristine condition. My tires; although passable (due to the tread) were dangerously dry-rotted.The dry-rot was never addressed until several months later when I went to Daves for something that required the attention of a mechanic of a higher-caliber.Not only did they do the (complicated) job RIGHT; but, Dave Jr. pointed out dry-rot in my tires that was clearly visible on his computer (and never addressed by the other mechanic).I am partially disabled and have a bad back; so, riding on those dry-rotted tires was a NIGHTMARE! Dave Jr. recommended tires that were not only more affordable; but, also more practical for my circumstances! The tires that he recommended are known for giving a smoother ride.You must remember that when you buy tires at some big box store; you are not getting the real tire. You are only getting the tire that the manufacturer made SPECIFICALLY for that chain-store (which usually is inferior to save money). At Daves, they get the tires (and everything else) DIRECTLY from the manufacturer; so, you do get the actual tire (or any other part) that was originally intended by the manufacturer.Remember; you (and your families) LIVES are riding on those tires (and that car).The price may be a little higher; but, Daves is WORTH it. I have tried other mechanics just for that reason; and, it ended up costing me more in the long run. I am never going anywhere else again!

Dave & Dave took fantastic care of me from half-way across the country. I was looking to purchase a vehicle online but I didnt want to travel to Philadelphia just to inspect the vehicle. I called Daves and asked if they would be able to inspect the vehicle for me even though it would not be at their shop. They traveled to the vehicle (~20 minutes from their shop), gave me a detailed inspection report, and took the time to recap its condition with me over the phone. They knocked this out for me in basically 24 hours - from the time I first called to the time of the recap phone call. That is a very quick turnaround, considering they easily could have made me wait days or even a week to inspect my vehicle. On top of all that, the communication was excellent. I received updates in emails, calls (and even texts when needed). I felt prioritized as a customer even though I never step foot in their shop or met them in-person. Cant thank these guys enough for making the process simple and worry-free.

We were having issues with our town and country van, After doing a tune up and not having the issue fully resolved, Dave was able to pin point the problem and after further research he found out that there was an extended warranty on the part. Dave notified us and we reached out to the dealer. Therefore, we had a $3,000. job done buy dealer at no cost do to the extended warranty. Needless to say, I would recommend Daves auto to everyone. Another plus is his waiting room, my wife waited there for our inspection and was so impressed with how quaint and comfortable the waiting room was from comfort to coffee not your typical waiting room at an auto place!

ATTENTION!!!!! Do not be fooled by the good reviews from clueless consumers and/or possibly the owner. Daves prices are BY FAR the highest in the area, as in multiples more. They quoted my wife and I nearly triple what we ended up paying for a job. My neighbors and friends know to avoid this joint. And the fake nice guy routines? Give me a break. Just look at the owners bogus, hostile reply. Why would I have written a critical review unless we had actually been here? My family has definitely visited these greedy sharks, but we immediately left when we realized that they rip people off. There are over 20 auto repair shops within a mile from here, and this is the very worst of the bunch. Go anywhere but here. You should be thanking me.

I have known Dave for 20 years. I have dealt with him as a supplier as well as a customer & found Dave was honest, sincere & uses quality parts and not some junk that the chain auto parts retailers sell cause he only wants to do the job once & not have you back complaining that it still wasnt right so he insures that does not happen.Now his family is now working with him & I see the shop continuing for a 2nd generation taking over. Dave has worked hard to be a success and he has reached that goal.

Dave sat down with me and explained what was wrong with my car, then broke down costs so I understood exactly what needed to be done immediately. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them.

Within the last 30 days Daves Auto has gone above & beyond in helping me out.The car battery started to die overnight when it started getting cold & required me to jump it every morning. In 24 hours of taking it to Daves they identified that the battery was being drained by the Hands Free Bluetooth device that stopped working about a year ago, which once disconnected the battery is like brand new again & no issues with the car battery in starting the car.About 2 weeks later, I was driving to see my wife with my kids in the car during rush hour on Street Road when the car made a very large BAM noise then would not accelerate. I contacted Daves and they said to have it towed to their shop & they will look at it the following day.Not only did they investigate the issue but also had it repaired and available for pickup in less than 24 hours.Every time I go to Daves I get incredible Customer Service & immediate attention to my car issues. Daves takes peoples personal lives & the impact of having car troubles into consideration to ensure that they get their customers car back on the road as quickly as possible.I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Daves to anyone with minor or major car troubles for they take personal interest in every customer.THANK YOU Daves again & again for all the help with my cars to date!!!!!

This shop rrally knows how to treat a neighbor in distress! I blew a tire on the way to work, and just barely got to the parking lot to safely change my tire. Daves son saw me struggling to change the tire and put on the donut tire for me free of charge. I highly recommend them!

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011. My transfer case needed to be replaced so i did some searching and called my jeep dealer...asked about number of hours, the part and estimate that i got through a friend who service manager (they dont give quotes on the phone) Bottomline is a 3000$ job!!!!! Well in todays world you got to hustle so I searched for a mechanic to see if i could get a better price....(the part was 1200$) so I figured the dealer was making a ton of money....i found Daves Auto Machanic...family run business...Dave Senior and I spoke and brought it in and said yes it was the case. I stood there and he found a TC for 1100$ and said he could do the job for 2100$...i saved 1000$ and ended up doing a lot more to my jeep ...transmission fluid replaces new spar plugs. radiator hoses....now my Jeep is good and all work has year guarantee ! IF you have issues with your transfer case (these parts are backlogged) Call Daves and speak to Tina......Thanks Dave Sr.!You got a customer for LIFE!

Another 2nd generation Daves here - Ive been bringing my car to Daves since I bought it in 2007, even when I lived over an hour away. The service is always excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Daves is also the only place I feel comfortable saying no to if they reccomend something Im not ready to have done. Theyve never had a problem if I say lets wait on that. No pressure for sales, which is really nice. I would reccomend Daves to anyone.

How to hell do you charge 65$ for an inspection if it costs 40$? maybe thats how it works in Philadelphia, Im not sure because just moved here. But would not reccomend
