Had them come out and replace my stack pipe, which was leaking. It was from the basement up to the second floor, behind concrete and the wall. Angel and his assistant did a wonderful job and cleaned up everything. I called about 5 places for an estimate - they all had theories about the issue - even though I knew it was the stack pipe - and some quoted me ridiculously high plumber prices in order to diagnose. Angel knew right away what the issue was and gave the lowest estimate as well. Fantastic job!

The technician arrived as a gang buster attitude. He started pushing violently on my old duct work and mechanical equipment causing more problems than it actually was. He did not effectively explain the high price to replace or get my system to work efficiently.

I have had the best experience with this company TWICE! In January, I had issues with my heating system and they came out, diagnose the issue and fixed it the next day. I had to call them this morning for my AC unit, literally called at 8am when I woke up and they were here by 9:30am and fixed the issue within a hour. I have a young child with asthma so I definitely needed the AC fixed quickly and they were able to do that. They explained the whole process, charges and I could pay right from my phone. And let me tell you this company is great very dependable my central Heating system was not working it wasnt blowing hot my unit is on the roof of my home these guys came out and fixed my heater during this cold weather with out any complaints the two technicians assured me they would fix my heater and that they did without trying to RIP me off so with that said if you want your Heating problem etc.done right call Affordable Fixes all my family and friends will hear about this company from me.

Affordable Fixes was very responsive to my call and scheduled the work on the same day. Val tested the AC unit and determined that it needed coolant added . The work was completed quickly. House is cooler now and AC is keeping up with the hotter weather. Thank you great work and pricing.

We opted for a complete replacement Trane unit. Val and company came quickly to install the unit but the Installation is not complete. The AC works beautifully but furnace is not done. Exterior ducting still needs to be run, a large opening was left in the return duct work and we are missing the compressor unit weather cover. The compressor pad was replaced but they left the old 200 pound slab behind. Val said hed take the pad when he returned to complete the work but not until heating season. Thats too long to leave it lying around. Lastly, I was told that the copper AC lines from my old unit were still perfectly usable and replacing them would be a needlessly laborious job. I agreed and the cost of the new line was removed from the bill. I was dismayed, however, that there was no reduction in the actual cost of the job, only the cost of the hardware. Vals response was that labor price is fixed per job. I consider Val to be a fair man but do not agree with fixed fee labor as I think running a new line would have taken 2 men a good part of an hour. In my opinion an adjustment for labor time not used would have been a nice gesture.This is the second time we have used Affordable Fixes for HVAC installation. I am very happy with quality of the equipment. I cant comment on the price since, having used Val before, we trusted him to be fair. Id consider raising my review if Affordable Fixes re-considers its pricing and the job gets completed in a timely manner.

The crew came this morning, replaced the unit and replaced the thermostat. One of the best if not the best experiences Ive had working with a plumber. Explained everything they were about to do and why it had to be done. They returned a couple of times to bleed the radiators without hesitation or attitude. Were quick to return phone calls and always arrived on time. I asked for them to go out to do a service call on my property to see why the heater was not cutting on and so also do a maintenance on the system. I was never told how much the maintenance cost yet they did the maintenance and wants to charge me $300. Pricing was supposed to be given prior to anything to be done but was never was and now they want to charge me for a service tht i never knew the cost of it. I would have never picked them if i knew the cost of it.Update: Valerie the alleged owner called me stating that they have been trying to call me all morning which was a lie. I called them to make payment and then i was given this outrageous price. When asked ro speak to a supervisor this is what valerie texted me....Good afternoon, my name is Valerie and I am a manger at Affordable Fixes I have been trying to reach you to discuss your unpaid invoice. If I do not hear back from you by the end of today a mechanical lean will be placed against your property for nonpayment.... She swore that someone told me the price and that i was at the property and gave consent even though they were informed that i wouldnt be at the property. Valerie stated that they can just put leans on people properties if they choose to even of they are wrong. Horrible horrible company....dont ever deal with these people.

After a receiving a botched job of ductless units installation, we began having problems shortly after. Today Val and his colleague came out (showed up on time) and completely fixed our disastrous problem. Great service and quality! Installed a radiant floor heating system at my crib. The unit was faulty from the manufacturer and Val came back everyday until manufacturer sent out a rep to replace the unit. Very competent and high attention to detail. Also had them install 2 heaters at my business and they were in and out in 1 day - crushed it!

Following a respectable attempt by Affordable Fixes to fix my Lennox Heat Pump by replacing its reversing valve, it wasnt enough to bring the 18 year old heat pump back to life. Instead of putting a dime more into the equipment, Affordable Fixes recommended that we replace the old system . We speced out a slightly more expensive state-of-the-art heat pump system that takes advantage of the variable compressor technology, thus allowing for more efficiency. We went with a XV18 Heat Pump with a TAM 9 AHU using a XL1050 stat as the user interface which tied the whole system together. Val and his team at Affordable Fixes came in and got the job done. The entire team worked hard and were very focused on the task at hand. They showed up early and coordinated very well with each other through the day and were able to remove my old system and install the new system in a single day. I sent a service tech for my mothers ac unit, which stopped working. During the evaluation he was asked multiple times how much the work would cost prior to starting the work, so they would know before hand. He refused to answer, said he had to buy a part then he would know. He went and got the part and started working outside before they knew he came back, basically forced the work on then and charged almost 700 dollars. I will be filing a complaint.To follow up on your response....you said the price was agreed on?? Thats a complete lie, we werent told the price before you started the work at all! I talked to you when you first got there and asked specifically, you said youd let us know as you had to get a part. Then I asked again when I was on the phone with my mom and you were hesitant to say anything about it, acting like you werent done evaluating. You were deceptive about how much it would cost from the beginning

It took 3 weeks and 3 hvac professionals from other companies (one was the service manager) to tell us our air conditioner was fine, one said you need frion the other said a new filter and the other said a fan in the attic for ventilation but everything looked fine...88 degrees is definitely not “fine!” Finally we found affordable fixes and Val came out just as scheduled and on time. He took on glance at the unit from outside As he was walking up our steps and dx’d the problem immediately without even looking at it from the inside. He also dx’d several other problems that the other HVAC professionals were oblivious to. He was professional, super knowledgeable and diligent by ensuring the air coming out of the vents was at the 58 degree mark before he left so he knew our air would be working at over 100%. Val is awesome. Hard worker and really gave us our sanity back because Living on a second floor apt in the middle of a heat wave can get to you after a while. Lastly, he reminded me of gratitude . So I called Affordable Fixes and he came in with a smile, went straight to work without saying what it was going to cost me. Since it’s only 2 ends I didn’t bother to ask. He finished up and wrote me up a bill for $550.00. Now that’s what I call I don’t know what to say.This wasn’t one of your technicians. This was the owner from the impression I got. I had work done multiple times by workers from Affordable Fixes. They are always on time, courteous, respectful of your home and professional.I had a boiler system replaced and Val came out and saw to it that things were done properly. One of the components or switches on the new boiler system they installed was faulty though it was brand new. I informed them of this via a phone call a few days later when I noticed and they worked with my schedule to come right back out to replace the piece. The install was very clean as well.I understand its a demanding line of work, but they are pretty pricey as far as value is concerned. However, if you need things done right, I would definitely give them a call before mannny other places.

Very bad this company 3 months ago they came to my house to check the air conditioning they did not compose anything they only arrived they opened the engine they disconnected some cables and they left it after they left the system in weight make a short circuit call them to the office that please check well their work because I have children and short circuits are dangerous the next day they arrived and did not compose anything and to finish they charged me 350 dollars just to arrive and disconnect the water pump very badly this company was a very bad job they never told me about a budget before to check the problem only after they sent me an email of what they had to pay they did not fix my problem and I had to find someone else to fix my problem
