I been working with EMCO for some good 5 years. They been servicing all our rentals and we upgrades most of our units with them.Also as a Real Estate business office we referred them to several of our clients and so far so good, no complaints at all.We truly recommend them

My air conditioning system was making weird noises. My coworker recommended EMCO Tech. The technician came on time and was very professional. He said I have a broken AC. Technician could repair AC the same day. I was satisfied. Strongly recommend.

EMCO was the contracted service provider for a home warranty. They were the second company that came to service our aged AC unit. The first company recommended replacement but never followed through. EMCO repaired the old unit well enough to work while they placed the service approval through the warranty company. They secured approval, scheduled and did the installation. Always on time, always professional, and explained the reasons for out of pocket costs- which were minimal. We would use them again.

Used EMCO to install both and HVAC system and Hot water heaters. Couldn’t have been more thankful of their prompt response and upfront prices.Day after install there was a glitch, I called them and they had a tech on site within hours.I don’t expect to need a new system for 15+ years but when I do I will call EMCO again

They performed a full replacement/renovation of our existing HVAC configuration. They replaced 2 units (one heat only, one ac only) with two new dual units creating a 2 zone system to provide the comfort our separated and under-powered systems could not. This included the full replacement of all existing duct work. They were fast, efficient, friendly, and so far we are extremely pleased with the results.

They fixed my grandmothers AC quickly during the heat wave. I really appreciated the prompt service because I was very worried about her health in the extreme heat. Thanks guys!

UPDATE: EMCO called me shortly after I posted this review and apologized for the technician not showing up within the specified window and for not giving any notice. They sent a technician out today at a time I requested. The technician arrived at the specified time and was courteous and professional. The technician performed an inspection of our HVACs. No issues with the inspection. I appreciate the effort the company made to correct the original issue and make me a satisfied customer. I have updated my review accordingly.One note: the technician that showed up didnt have a mask. Though I probably should have notified EMCO that we require masks in our house (we have an unvaccinated infant), Philly has a mask mandate in place so they really should be carrying masks. The technician had no problem putting on a mask we provided and kept it on throughout the inspection.Original review: No show for an appointment to inspect our HVAC units. Took off work. Waited 4 hours. When I called to let them know that the technician didnt show up within the specified time window, there was no explanation or apology. Unprofessional.

My furnace died sometime during the night. I called EMC at 9:30. The repairman was at my home by 10:30. The furnace was dead. My motor had finally quit working after 18 yrs of use. He gave me two options: one of repairing my old unit. Second of replacement (which was the better option). With an 18 year old furnace, I opted for a furnace replacement. By 4:30 the same day the new furnace was installed and running. Good work.

All of the front office, technicians and HVAC and plumbing repair and installation professionals go above and beyond to do the best job possible. This is not an exaggeration. We have used EMCO for more than ten years and over this time they have installed a top quality wall-hung high efficiency boiler and tankless hot water. They have also replaced all of our copper lines with PEX, They also do an outstanding job researching new technologies like our Ecobee thermostat by speaking with the company experts. Currently they have spent many hours researching many code violations of a boiler at my place of worship. They are handling the schematics and variance application for the old boiler with the state.and speaking with the director of the boiler division. We would be lost without them. They are always fair and reasonable with what they charge and show up in the given time window. Five stars.

Our furnace needed a new blower motor. I received a bid from these folks for less than what I had heard anywhere else. I accepted their bid. I later received a call from the supervisor, to confirm that I was happy. Calling these folks were a good move.

The technician was very courteous and professional. He explained everything completely and in a way that was easy for us to understand. He was VERY thorough and checked all parts of our hvac system, inside and outside.We asked for someone to price replacements and they set an appointment for the very next day, talk about prompt! Ron came out, checked on what we needed, and suggested the replacements.After we decided to replace our ac unit the timing to get that done was really short.They had to install one unit in a pretty small space on a really HOT day.. They were here each day for a long time and worked really hard each day. They were friendly, polite, and very professional.

They have a maintenance contract. The pricing was good. Ive had my unit for like six months or seven months. Its definitely a good experience.

My thermostat went out due to a short circuit. I called at 9:30am on Saturday and by 1:00pm they were at my house. I had a scheduled appointment for the hours of 5 PM- 7 PM today(8/29/19). Serge and his assistant arrived at 4:22 They replaced the thermostat and offered me a variety of options to better cool my house and be more cost-effective on my electric bill. The best offer was joining the fall / winter maintenance program! the duo worked well together and I look forward to having them come back in the spring to clean my A/C.

I called for the repair of the heat pump and got same day service. The technician was very good at his job! Nice and professional. The repair was done hastily! Nice to have a warm house again!

I have worked with EMC for years and they are always courteous and professional and provide great value and service. We have purchased a Furnace and A/C units through them and they work great. We also do their maintenance service to keep everything running smoothly.

I have Total Protect Home Warranty. My central air unit stopped working. I put in my claim and within two days Emergency Maintenance was at my house. They fixed my unit within 30 minutes and had it up and running good as new. Thanks to Total Protect and to Emergency Maintenance Company.

Had an appointment between 3-5pm its now 6:15 and not even a single phone call from anyone, called and of course the office closes at 6 and not even a emergency or 24hr line to contact but yet its called emergency? they must give discounts to the people if they leave positive reviews because now company with that many 5stars would just not show up or even call.....do not recommend!

These technicians are top of the line experts. They were super courteous, explained in detail the work needed to be done, gave an estimate in little time, got right to work and finished my line repair in less than an hour. This is the 2nd job in 5 years of hiring this company and I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

They put in a new heating and air system however, now twice in the 3 days it’s been in we have had no heat. This company does not come out after hours, it’s 28 degrees our new heating system is not working and they will not come out until the next day. I do not recommend this company.

Had an appointment between 2-4pm They arrived at 2:00 pm on the dot. They had my furnace repaired by 3pm. I thought I was going to have to miss my evening work shift for this appointment but as it turned out I had time to spare. Everything went much better than I could have even dreamed it would go, I highly recommend.

My parents told me to call Emergency Maintenance Company when I tried to turn on my AC and it was blowing lukewarm air. My mother said they have been using them since I was a teenager and she has been very happy with the work the they have done for her.So, if its good enough for my mother, its dang sure, good enough for me. They fixed my AC unit, turns out it just needed charging or something, lol. But now its blowing cold like it is suppose to.

Anna sent out Bob and G on a Saturday under a Total Protect Warranty to install a new central unit AC to prevent a medical emergency. They all did an excellent job. I highly recommend Emergency Maintenance Co. They are great.

Got a email and signed up for the Spring Clean up and maintenance on my furnace and the furnace is working so much better now. Before we had to have the heat on like 85 to be comfortable now we have it on 76 and we are comfortable. Really impressed.

My air handler unit was making a really loud rattling and squeaking sound, I schedule a service appointment. HVAC Tech John was sent out the same day to diagnose the unit and he found that some part in my furnace was intermittently failing and would need to be replaced. He said that he had the parts in his van that he would able to repair the furnace within the hour. He was true to his estimate within the hour the unit was repaired. This winter my HVAC system has broken 3 times. Unfortunately, I was using a company that I was referred to by a friend and every time they came out they said it was something different which cost me more and more money. Finally, I had enough and called EMC and they found the problem and fixed it and that was over two months ago and I have yet to have any more heating problems, I guess I found my new HVAC company.

I had them as a second opinion through my warranty. Warranty was denying replacement of my system. First company said it was not working because initial installation was done not right which cause system to break. Emergency Maintenance tech reasoned with them that my system worked like that for over 20 years and standards were different back then. Warranty covered replacement with me paying for some upgrades, which was only a fraction of what it would cost me on a private market. I am very happy with the outcome and job performed, will sure use them again.

Home warranty company sent them to do annual HVAC cleaning/maintenance on a warm day in early October. According to my contract with Residential MD Gold (thru Country Home Services), both A/C and furnace would be cleaned at the same time.Scheduling with Emergency Maintenance Co. was quick and convenient. Problem is, tech Leo didn’t do anything. He spent a max of 10 mins on the job, he didn’t listen to me, and he brushed me off.When I first asked Leo if he was going to clean both the A/C and furnace, he said, sure, yeah. When I asked him again a few minutes later, he said, no, it’s too cold to service the A/C. Then he refused to clean the furnace or change the monthly filter. He said it wasn’t dirty. I was clearly concerned but again he brushed me off. I asked about the green water stains where some PVC pipes connected, and he said it was nothing.So, a 10 minute service call and nothing was done but leaving me feeling unsatisfied.

No issues and no hassles the kind of service I like.

Complete rip off / dishonest companyEdited reply to company- company reply is a joke. Got it taken care of for 200 by certified tech. Exhaust pipe did not need replaced and is not rusted. There are carbon monoxide detectors all over the basement, it isnt leaking anything. I have no complaints or misunderstandings about what my home warranty covers.Quoted me 800-1000 for needed maintenance to oil system and replacement flue pipe. Ive have almost a dozen quotes at this point, none more than 400, and all said the flue pipe is in good shape with just some cosmetic wear.

I had three other companies come out to give me an estimate or replacing the motor in my unit all the other companies told me that it was not worth it to repair it to, just get a new unit.Emergency Maintenance came out and quoted me a price and that I thought was reasonable, the next day they installed the motor and my unit has been blowing cold from that day in late May until today, they saved me a bundle.

Went straight from winter in to summer heat. I dont know what happen to spring but it was so hot in our home and our ac would not come on. We called this ac repair company to come out and get our unit back up and blowing cold again.The guy came out fast, like the same day. He was able to repair our air conditioning unit on the spot. I dont know what he did but it works like a polar bear at the North pole, lol its blowing really cold air. Almost like a totally new unit. The price was much cheaper than what I estimated. The guy was friendly and seemed knowledgeable.

Got really good results using Emergency Maintenance Company. Called them out last week to fix my unit as I was having a burning smell every time the furnace came on. They came out and replaced the motor in my furnace and thus far it has been working great and no more burning plastic smell.

My family have been using air conditioner repair Philadelphia for years. They installed a new ac unit in my home exactly and year ago and they came back out yesterday to replace our filters and for an air conditioning preventive maintenance and cleaning. They arrived on time and I paid the prearranged amount, happy with the ac repair service that I received.

AC repair was needed because my air conditioning would not come on. Emergency Maintenance Company came out to my home to fix my central air conditioning unit because I clicked the switch and nothing happened. Changed the batteries in the thermostat and still nothing. So, I called these guys. They came out and said something was fried in my AC they replaced whatever it was and my old unit is blowing like new.

Came right in and explained to us what we needed and the hazards we needed to correct. They were really professional and I totally appreciated their input on my dilemma. Thank you so very much.

My home warranty company sent them out on Friday to replace our AC unit because it was totally not working and they discovered that it did not need to be replaced as the previous company had lied and told us. All it need was a few replacement parts, thank goodness because if we had to replace the whole unit our home warranty company would only cover %25 of the replacement cost but thanks to this company we didnt not have any out of pocket cost.

My mothers old hot water heater was only producing lukewarm water most of the time and it was making a loud knocking sound. EMC installed a tankless water heater in and it works like a dream. Hot water on demand, no waiting and no loud knocking. The price was about what I had expected and the service was better than what I expected. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Im am new to the Philadelphia area, just moved here from LA so when my heat stopped working in the middle of the night I didnt know what to do or who to call. This was the only company that I found in Philadelphia that was open to do emergency HVAC repairs at 3:47 am.They came out in less than an hour. They tech guy said it was something called a flame sensory that was no longer working. He installed a new one and like magic the furnace roared back to life.The price was fair, although to be honest, I would have paid anything. I am not use to these kind of cold nights, LA is nothing like Philly. But I am happy that I found this company and I will be saving their name and number. Great work EMC.

Charged me $200 to diagnose problem. Said someone would call to set up another appointment to fix it. Not only did no one call, when I called to find out what was going on the man on the phone said, Oh yeah, the warranty company said it was a pre-existing condition and wont pay for it, so if were not going to get paid...., So they charged me $200 to come up with a b.s. problem that they wont fix and completely neglected to inform me about this (as did the warranty company). This places has hack technicians and is probably illegally run out of a dirty hole in the wall office.

They responded to my emergency SOS text for a leaking ac unit in a couple of minutes, on a Saturday. Within two hours the unit was fixed.

My central air unit wasnt working properly. I called insurance company and put in a claim. They give me this company number. The tech came to my house, he looked at my filter and ripped it out the corner it was in and kept it on my floor, check out my unit and check the pressure. You need a filter and I need the deducible, he told me. I asked him, well are you putting the filter in, he said no, he dont have it. So I feel I just got ripped off because I still have to get the filter myself.

The technician was right on time and super friendly with my son and my dogs. Excellent value and excellent service.

They SUCK!! Do not go with this company, under any circumstances. They only reason I got suckered in to hiring them is because they took the work order of my home warranty company. When the technician arrived to inspect the problem with my blower / capacitor, he had to use the flashlight on his smart phone because he didnt come prepared with his own flashlight. No flashlight? Are you kidding me? After the fourth time coming over to my house to re-inspect the issue, I decided to drop this company like a bad habit. It was simply taking too long to fix my A/C unit, especially in the middle of the summer with temperatures hovering around 90. The language barrier is a problem as well.

Your Technician, Serge, was very rude and disrespectful. I DO NOT recommend Emergency Maintenance at all!!! He kept insisting that the Auxiliary heat is supposed to be on, which its not! We had our house built 20yrs ago and have been here since. The Auxiliary heat is not supposed to be on and stay on. Having the auxiliary heat on makes the peco (electric) bill go sky high! After trying to nicely explain to him that the auxiliary heat is not supposed to be on, that something is wrong Serge then told me (with his broken english) If Im so smart why dont I fix it?! Then he asks for the deductible which was $100 I gave it to him and asked what did you do? He chuckles and says nothing with a smile on his face. It was just an all around very unpleasant experience with this company!!!
