Better off going to a different gym. The bathrooms are almost always filthy. Every time I workout the gym is always SUPER HOT. It’s like they don’t want to AC the place. What are you cutting back costs ? Overall for the price I’m paying they should at least use AC and have clean bathrooms ….

She supplied me with the information I was looking for upfront and gave me a guest pass to try out the gym. After taking some time I was ready to sign on with this gym. Horrible customer service. Jay Jay Maria who’s the receptionist of the 5 am shift was extremely unprofessional. Not friendly what so ever and unwilling to accommodate a paying customer.

Waiting for the whole summer for the Spa to be fixed, still out, pool not heated..... gym was closed during Covid, they could of taking that time and fix what was broken. Been a member for 5 years now. Overall for this location is reasonable, Clean, big.

Honestly, your money is better spent at another gym. Ive been to almost every single LA fitness on the island and this might be one of the worst ones ever! Ive asked staff at least 10 times to replace equipment thats been broken or missing and I was told each time that it would be taken care of. Sure enough, a year later the equipment is still missing. My membership expires in September, and Ill be taking my money to another gym.Horrible service.

I take aquatics with Millie and Luis, great classes! Perfect low impact for arthritis sufferes and you really get a good total body workout

Clean gym, lots of equipment to choose from. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming! Any nervousness I felt about going into a new gym totally disappeared once I walked in and the staff showed me around. Highly recommend!

New and functioning equipment, very clean and not crowded. I felt safe working out there during covid. Frank, one of the managers, was so nice and helpful and really took good care of me. I never had such great service at any other gym before.

I havent been there in a year since the pandemic but since Im vaccinated i felt comfortable returning. The staff was not freindly and it did not have a welcoming feeling. Very cold . Tried to strike up a conversation with the front desk but she was more interested in her phone. Oh well.

Best gym I have ever been to and staff is very nice and extremely professional for a crowded gym especially the other ones I have been to or not as well kept as this one. Love coming here everyday

I had been planning to go back to the gym but my time is not enough. I went there like 7 yrs old with my dad, it was good experience.

It’s always dirty at the Patchogue location. Been coming here for months. I refuse to swim in their pool, their locker rooms/bathrooms/showers always smell bad toilets always dirty the benches in the locker room are usually visibly not wiped down, right now there’s something spilled on the floor with no wet sign yet the stairs, Saturday there was food all over the floor in the weight area. I might have to stop coming here. Hire more cleaning personnel for this location it’s a busy gym.

Manager vaun messed up canceling account and got mad bc he was asked to correct HIS mistake later refused to refund the account. Maybe it’s to hard of a job for him

It’s been updated, so things are improving. The hours, however, are awful. They used to open at 5, now it’s 6. EVERY GYM, and equipment is kept clean and orderly. IN SUFFOLK OPENS AT 5 OR EARLIER. Likewise on weekends, gyms in Suffolk open at 6. LA opens at 8. And they are not open as late as other gyms either.And still... no showers? Come on. Other gyms (Unique, Planet Fitness and YMCA) all have their showers available.This place needs to step up.Things are better since the last review. Hours are better for sure, showers are available and clean.

Cleanliness rules seem very good. Contactless check in. Taking temps. Hand snaitizer spray bottles and equipment spray bottles are available everywhere. All are expected to spray equipment before and after using any equipment. Every once in a while they come around qith the big sprayer. No mats are available which is to avoid the spread.Negatives: masks are not being policed. Some are not covering their nose and some are wearing the mask below their chin. Also the spray bottles are breaking. 2 were broken and unusable today.For the most part most people are complying.

This gym beats every other LA FITNESS around. Very clean compared to farmingville and lake grove/port Jeff

For medical reason I had to freeze my membership I thought will be such a hazard because in the past I had a bad experience in this club... but I got more than amazed... Gral Mgr. Frank took my call and in less than a minute resolved my problem, more than helpful .. he definitely changed the way I had this club on my head... if more “Franks” are around this club I have no dubt that will be one of the best gyms in LI.. I just started back at this gym since my company began to pay for my membership. Totally not worth the cost to workout on a membership, but this facility and staff is amazing. Friendly people around, my only concern is that most of the people working out here dont bother to clean their machine after they finish using it.All I can say is that going from Planet Fitness to LA was a major improvement needless to say

Due to Covid, I tried cancelling my membership in the summer 2020. Unbeknownst to me, they put my account on a 3 month freeze. Now that they’re open again, I would go but the kids club isn’t open, so it’s useless to me. Well, they called me last week, to update my billing information, I told them I thought I cancelled and he said “okay bye” so I sent in a 2nd copy of the cancellation membership last week (were in January 2021 now). They call me again today to update my payment information. Again, I tell them it should be cancelled. She says “hold on a minute” and transfers me to an automated system, having no idea why I’m being transferred. Member services lady took care of the balance and cancelled the membership and I was in middle of asking her if kids club has opened yet and she literally hung up on me. I will never return to this gym. Rude and overpriced. Planet fitness is $10/$22 a month. I understand gyms are going through a lot with Covid but let’s be real, MOST OF US ARE GOING THROUGH A LOT WITH COVID. I’m a medical professional, so don’t even get me started on the horrors of Covid. LA fitness will never see another referral, or dime from my family and me again. Your loss.

I Have been going to la fitness for about 8 months now hoping for a change . The machines are all broken down i was running on one of the treadmill and i almost fell . Staff is rude it was 10:50 and they were tapping people that the gym is closing . One incident I was in one of there classes the stereo went out we asked the young lady in the front what can we do she said that’s not her department she doesn’t know . Didn’t even try to call anyone . The only person that are nice are the salesman on the side when you first sign up . Something needs to be done about this gym you pay for a membership for this type of environment. People are going to start leaving to different gyms because of this one particular gym .

Clean and most machines are always in good condition

The new renivation came out amazing. My favorite place to work out. Never a wait for any equipment, even during peak times. If you havent been here in a while come check it out. Friendly staff, kid friendly if you need a work out while the kids play.

Came out from CA to visit a friend for a few days. Ive been bodybuilding and powerlifting competitively for over 10 years. The gym had more than enough equipment to meet my training needs.

The equipment is old; and too often, the machines have signs posted that say: “out of service.” Countless times, I see used tissues and dirty sweat napkins either on the floor or stuffed in the cup holders attached to the machines. I am giving this place one star simply for its location. Bottom line, I’m out. Resigning my membership immediately. This germ infected place is not worth the monthly fee.

Came here last year and it was disgustingly dirty and machines were always broken so started going to Farmingville. Just went back for the first time after the renovations and apparently a change of management; now everything is new and really clean. Happy we can start going back to this location again since it’s a lot close to home.

They do not keep up with the gym. Its always dirty especially in the morning . The bathrooms are filthy and they rarely fill the paper towel dispensers . The staff does not care about any requests you make .

Have been going to this location for a few years now. It was outdated, needed renovations. They renovated it last month.They added equipment, replaced floors.It has become a better place to work out.The equipment additions have made access to them much better.

The classes with instructor Tabon are excellent. You will get a great workout experience in his class. I was drenched in sweat after yesterdays class.

Gabe is an amazing personal trainer. He explains everything you ask patiently and he gives you a lot of information through emails. He helps you gain muscle or lose weight with efficient work out techniques. Highly recommended.

I like the place great staff and equipment. But this is one gym that get used by its members. Very busy and the place needs to be updated. It necessarily unclean but worn and it’s understandable but the owners need to completely overhaul from Carpet to bathrooms. Equipment is worn. It’s simple an active gym and needs some replacing. Torn carpet bathrooms sinks, lockers & tile completely shot. I am sure la fitness can keep a five star rating if they spend to do so. It’s a shame that planet fitness runs rings around la fitness in cleanliness and updates. Come one la get it together. PF has a cleaning guy constantly cleaning. There members clean the equipment after each use with a spray bottom and paper towels that PF supplies and people are preconditioned to clean equipment after each use and I like that. It’s not happening at La. If People are not taught and given the stuff the equipment stays dirty all day long until maybe la cleans same which may not be the case. It’s common sense but common sense is not too common.

Even with the renovation this place is still dirty and disgusting. Spit on the floor, paper towels, pre work out bottles, weights strewn all over. I won’t even mention what the locker rooms look or what people do in the sauna. The overall lack of cleanliness in this place will make you scream!

Its a good gym with a lot of equipment. Free weights, machines, sauna, pool, hot tub, basketball court, classes etc. So its a good value. Also clientele is very diverse in age as well as fitness so everyone can go without feeling out of place. Pool is great to have all year round.

Equipment is always clean. A little crowded at times, but theres plenty of machines and weights. Classes are good and the sauna is a plus. Staff is helpful.

I’m a senior that needed exercise in the pool for my arthritis and was so happy to find LA fitness close to my home. Until today. I’ve been going for a few weeks now and pool not the cleanest and lifeguards are young kids that I wouldn’t count on to care for any Emergencys. Today I had to leave as well as many other members. Three young boys were disrupting everyone. Rough housing in pool and hot tub. Jumping in and out and causing people to stop swimming laps. The lifeguard told them to stop a couple of times but they did not. I’m so mad I had to leave because this was not safe. They were running around pool throwing each other in and even made hot tub their rowdy playground. I’ve had my membership three weeks 😩 I think I’ll have to go to the YMCA.

This gym has a lot of machines, free weights, and hands on personal trainers. Its also a great place to play hoops. Its not too clean, however. Not filthy, just not too clean. I havent ventured into the locker rooms, so I cant speak about those.

Free weight, machines, pool, basketball court, and even heavy bags! Could use a little more maintenance and cleaning. My trainer Daniel K is the absolute best though!! I did a full year with him and dropped 60 lbs! I really miss our sessions, but he stays in touch to make sure i am staying focused. He genuinely cares and is a great guy!

I love my instructor Matt at my local LA Fitness. Hes extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of fitness, from determining your strengths and weaknesses to teaching proper form. Hes the best! The location itself has everything you need, including a lap pool, but is run down and not kept up well at all. I know it has very high volume, but still, it can be frustrating.

Good gym to go to get a workout in. There hasnt been any people when Ive gone that yell up a storm when lifting. Environment is friendly. Gym suffers from the usual people not putting the dumbells back where they belong on the racks. Of course you also have the classic leave the plates on the machine people, its annoying.Their water fountains need a good cleaning. They all have pinkish mildew around the water spout. Occasionally it seems like they do clean the water fountains but they smell like hand cleaner mechanics use.NrGize bar is nice. They make good drinks. One girl there that works night shifts gives off the vibe shes always in a bad mood and attitude. Speaks low and seems to get annoyed if you ask her what?.Okay so was able to snap a picture of the water fountain. This is how they all are downstairs.

I switched over from planet fitness because I wanted a better experience and more for my money and that is what I received. The classes and services at this gym were worth every cent and the staff is so helpful and friendly. It was impossible to find dance classes in my area for people over 18 and i finally found what Ive been looking for. I dont regret my decision one bit.

Great place to work out

If most (not all) instructors screaming over blaring music, working out without body bars, and shoddy equipment is something that doesnt bother you, this is the place! Also, I picked up a floor mat and chunks of accumulated dust balls were all around. The rumours are true: Things are always under maintenance at LA Fitness locations. I first noticed that when I took the grand opening tour 5 years ago.

This gym on the whole is worth it because the fitness classes offered here make for an exceptional workout. The people who work here are friendly enough and the other members are for the most part considerate when sharing equipment. This is a fairly clean gym but its far from perfect after all no gym is perfectly clean 100% of the time. I would recommend this gym to a friend.

All workers don’t care about the gym people work out whit no mask or under the chain I love that gym but I’m scare to go there only young workers no body cares unprofessional

Patchogue is my favorite of all the gyms. The front desk mainly Laura is friendly with a smile on greeting you. All very helpful and pleasant. My trainer Daniel is the best ever. He has helped me function after a car accident and it’s obvious he really cares. I am writing this because people should be acknowledged when warranted. Great gym

I work out hea everyday there awesome an its a great environment to be in an workout in. Jordyn is my trainer sure is super educated. Just tell her what u wanna to Target an she goes ham to meet your requirements.. shes super cool an a hot looking trainer but very educated in her field.. once again great gym, good people.. so try it out

Cardo machines are upstairs and its 25 steps to get there. There is no handicap accessible to these cardio machines.

The treadmills and elliptical machines are super dirty. It looks like no one has cleaned them in months!! I have yet to see one maintenance person in this establishment. The carpet is ripped and dirty. The weight machines are not well maintained and it’s accident waiting to happen. The locker room is ok. I haven’t gone past the lockers to use the bathroom.

Could definitely be cleaner! Dumbbells are always a mess and all over the place. Elliptical machines are getting old and rusty. On the positive side, good layout, great machines and a big gym. Should never be anybody else on top of you while you workout.

Wifi never works. Floor always a mess. Under each machine there is a pile of dirt, dust and God knows what else. Equipment outdated. Really regret joining. WAY overpriced compared to surrounding gyms. Only good thing is girls in day care are great. Just cancelled membership. Only time they ever cleaned proper was before an inspection and they wanted $60 to add my kid to the day care room . What a joke. Stay away!!!!!!
