I went to Waxing in the city for the first time and left so satisfied and Informed. I have never done anything to my eyebrows besides your occasional cleaning. I worked with Noelia and felt so comfortable and she was so nice and made sure I was happy with what I was getting - brow shape waxing and eyebrow tint - she took her time! Wax the City is an immaculately clean, stylishly decorated, uber-professional facial and body waxing salon with friendly customer service and a killer “New Customer” deal - 50% off the cost of your first wax. When I searched Google Maps for local “top-rated” brow waxing services, Wax the City seemed like my best option, with near 30 online reviews - ALL of which were 5-star recommendations. I was shocked I had never even heard of this salon.I called to inquire about the cost of an eyebrow/lip wax, and was thrilled to hear about their “New Customer” deal. I booked an appointment for the following day, but lucked out - due to a last minute cancellation, I was able to drive over within the hour.My luck continued upon arrival - I was able to see Rayna, their busiest and most popular “Cerologist” (Wax the City’s lingo, meaning esthetician/waxing specialist). She has a warm, welcoming energy that made my waxing appointment not only painless but peaceful. I was the last appointment for the day, but regardless Rayna took her time, paying meticulous attention to my eyebrows, softly laughing at my lame jokes, and always making sure I was comfortable.She definitely has deep experience behind her and it shows in her work - my eyebrows came out perfect, and I left feeling like I’d had a face lift. Rayna is truly a master of her craft, and I’m so thankful to have found her!

Very professional experience from the check-in to the waxing. The communication from the whole team is on point too - very easy to text back and forth with the studio! I go to Morgan and she has done a great job with the wax and has also educated me on how to improve my skin and achieve better hair growth. Two types of wax are used and there is care with tweezing. The products are expensive but they are items you can go out and by on your own, though I do really like their sugar scrub 😅.

If you get very stress with this things ask for Noelia, she is just wonderful !

Firstime customer arrived on time. Told I was late (I was not) made to wait for second service and told I would have to pay for the denied service too. Extremely nasty front desk person and pretentious. I walked out with no service. Very unprofessional place and unwelcoming. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

Love this place! Went today for the first time and absolutely loved it! Great atmosphere and very professional people. I got my eyebrows waxed and my lashes tinted by Madelyn. Her technique was amazing and I barely felt a thing. Will definitely be going to Waxing the City again!!

Rayna is wonderful, but this business is not. Their corporate website lured me in with a 50% off promo for first time customers, but the folks running the Cambridge location informed me that they do not honor that and apparently there was some fine print somewhere that should have tipped me off to that. So while they did give me their new standard 20% off for newbies, I will not be returning. Also the parking lot is difficult to find...

Love the atmosphere here, everyone is super friendly! I have been getting my waxes with Rayna and I wouldnt change her for the world! She is great, gentle and really knows what she is doing. She will explain everything to you from start to finish for those who get a bit anxious. She also gives you advice on how to take care of your skin and recommends products! I wouldnt go anywhere else!

It wasnt OD painful like I expected (cause I procrastinate) and shes black so she knows how black hair works 🙌🏽. Went here on a whim, as I saw the first wax was 50% off. Receptionist said there was an appointment available and the wax person would be right out. It was about a 20 min wait. When the wax person took me back there was an area to charge my phone and put my stuff, which I appreciated. We spoke about my brows, and when it came time to wax I thought she was a bit slow. She waxed, and re-waxed and sometime re-re-waxed my brows, which took a lot of time, and I had not experienced this at other waxing places such as the european wax center. I found through my personal experience, the faster the wax, the more skilled the person is. It took maybe 15-20 min for this wax. The end result was good, but if I had to pay full price I would have been unsatisfied. In my opinion, not the best wax Ive ever had, but certainly not the worst.

I’ve been going to this studio for five months now, and I love it! Everyone there is super kind, friendly, and helpful. I was really nervous because I’m transgender, but I’ve seen two different cerologists at this location and both of them were completely cool and understanding. They’re quite attentive during the service itself and then afterwards, they’ll recommend the products they have for sale but their advice is always PRACTICAL. It’s clear that it’s about satisfaction instead of just sales, which seriously impresses me!

Being consistent with a Brazilian is very hard to do when time is not on your side. Rayna has been very flexible and open to my hectic work schedule. She always texts or calls to remind me of my 6 week grace period of getting another wax. Her station is always clean and neat and she is very personable and respectful towards me. When she waxes me she is very patient and willing to go that extra mile for me because I do have very sensitive skin. She always ask for feedback and gives great advice on products I should purchase for my ingrown hair problems. Everytime I leave from me getting a wax done by her I feel like a brand new woman. I would not trade Rayna for the world. Keep up the great work Ray and see you in the New Year!

Its been 2 weeks since my wax experience with Rayna. Im prone to bumps and ingrown hairs after waxing/shaving. This was the best experience I’ve had with waxing. Barely hurt and the maintenance products I was told to use after have worked magic. No bumps, no ingrown hairs, and my skin in those areas are brighter.

I get waxing done a lot and decided to try Waxing the City for the first time. All I can say is the quality of service, staff, and professionalism is top notch. My cerologist was Madelyn and she was the absolute best. She was very skilled and knowledgeable in her field and I had the reassurance of knowing she knew exactly what she was doing and made the waxing practically painless with her technique. I got the Brazilian, under arms, brows, and a brow and lash tint. All are services I will most certainly be coming back here to do. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else now. Best around.

I recently had a brow and Brazilian done by their cerologist Deirdre and I could not be happier with my experience and my results. Deirdre was so kind and personable, I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. She took her time and explained every step of the process as she waxed, as well as giving me great advice for my post care routine. I learned a lot! She had great knowledge about the products as well and I’m very happy with what she recommended. This was by far the least painful wax I have ever had as far as Brazilians go, and my brows came out absolutely fantastic! You don’t have to worry about these girls taking too much brow off they are true professionals in what they do here. I love the brow pencil I got too! I highly recommend waxing the city and I highly recommend you see Deirdre when you go!

As man I was skeptical about getting a wax for the first time...ok let’s be honest I was terrified lol,but once I got to the establishment the atmosphere calmed me initially.When it was time for my wax,I was greeted by a wonderful young lady by the name of Rayna.She greeted me with smiles and directed me to her room.From the moment she started my wax,it was all laughs.She cautioned me before applying every strip and took her time.Her post care instructions were detailed and helpful towards preventing ingrown.I would recommend her without a doubt!

I felt welcomed and she made it soooo easy for me to get my back waxed for the first time.
