Bay Area Computers is AMAZING! I called last minute and they worked on my computer and discovered the hard drive was no good and replaced it, installed windows, installed all current updates while consistently giving me updates. They even said late to finish this process and they made sure I received my cpu back that SAME DAY. Customer service there is second to none. They are a 1st class company. I just moved to the area so I was looking for a good computer shop to bring my PCs to. I found Bay Area Computers after going around to a couple different shops and ultimately was let down. After talking to the owner, Chris, I found the price for labor was good and wasnt going to charge if they werent able to get it working. Dropped it off early afternoon maybe, and before 5pm the same day it was ready to go. They even informed me what was wrong with it and the prices before going any further with it. Definitely going back for any computer related issues.

Ive bought a phone, laptop, and tablet from them and will keep coming back for more. Not just to buy either, but to repair! The service is second to none! Chris and Mesha make everyone feel welcome. Whether youre a computer whiz or a novice, they will treat better than any other company will. They can fix just about anything and if they cant, nobody can! They are honest and family run. I just cant say enough about them. Oh, and the prices are unbeatable!

Im the furthest thing from tech savvy. My laptop is 7 years old. It seemed to have gone on the fritz. Wouldnt come on when I powered it up. I thought it might have been fried and was looking at new ones and was prepared to spend $900 or more. Took it into Bay Area and all it needed was a new hard drive. For just the $79 labor charge and cost of a new drive its now looking and running as if it was brand new. I went back the next day because I needed help inputting some of the data I had lost and they took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I was satisfied. Definitely the place to go.

My grandson and I were building a gaming computer from parts my grandson bought with his money on the internet. We got to a point where we were stumped. On a Friday night at 5:30 we called Bay Area Computers. Chris told us to bring the computer into the shop. A few years ago my laptop needed to be checked and cleaned for Malware. I was pleased with their service. I suggested them to my Daughter to work onmy Granddaughters laptop. It was dropped off on Monday to check it out and find out why it was lagging. On Tuesday evening they picked up the laptop. When it was powered up the fan was noisy. The shop was called and told this and they responded that sometimes that happens when the laptop is cleaned. It is getting progressively worse, to the extent she cant use it for her middle school classes online. The laptop was taken back by my son-in-law this evening and he was told it was a coincidence that it started right after they worked on it. Bay Area refuses to fix it without us paying another $80. They were dismissive to us on the phone and argumentive with my son-inlaw in person.I will never recommend this shop again.

This place is the best!!! Chris & his wife Mesha are such honest salt of the earth people. My laptop wasn’t working & since I was working from home I couldn’t afford for it to be out of commission for very long. I called to ask what their repair turnaround was & Chris told me within a day or two. That was on a Thursday evening. I dropped it off Friday morning & by the afternoon I got the call that it was in pretty bad shape. I came in that evening to pick it up & possibly get a new one. Chris spent at least an hour with me explaining what happened to my laptop & showing me some new options. I trusted him right away! He gave me an incredible price on a new laptop which he stayed late that night transferring my info from my old one to the new one just so I could have it the next day. By Saturday afternoon I had my new laptop and was up & running again. They were both so personable & friendly not to mention Chris is an expert in computers. They have a customer for life!!

I am beyond impressed with the professional and quality of work by Chris and his team. Last year, I bought an ASUS gaming computer for my wife and it seemed that we had problems with the computer ever since we purchased it. It would take 15 min. to open up outlook and even longer to browse some websites, and on top of it all, the touch pad never worked. After contacting ASUS customer support and finding out that a computer that is a year and two-months old is out of warranty, I decided to look in the area for a shop. I contacted Chris and later on that afternoon I dropped the computer off. I received a call with the issue in a timely manner with an excellent cost to repair the computer. After picking up the computer and using it for a couple of days, I can honestly say that the computer acts as if it were brand new and now I cant get my wife off of it. From the initial phone call to the young lady (I didnt catch her name) at the front desk, everyone was professional and willing to help. If you are looking for a company to provide good quality computer repairs and even information, this is the place to go. I am sure that if I run into any computer issues that I cannot resolve, I will be returning.

The best hobby shop on the East Coast PERIOD. Their carpet track is ever changing throughout the week to accommodate both on road and off road racers. They have a fleet of rental trucks for an affordable rate so you and your friends dont even need to spend hundreds to have fun. Most parts are always in stock or a quick order away and their pricing is extremely fair. Owner is the most genuine person youll meet. They offer a lot of services for reasonable costs (soldering, RC body painting, repairs, etc).TL;DR: If youre thinking about going there.... go there.

Our printer/ copier has been broken for over a year now and we cant afford a new one unfortunately at the moment Karma they offer copy services printing if you need an email printed and facts which has helped my family and I out more times than I can honestly remember for a more than reasonable price for each service. We love Bay Area computers and the staff, and we keep coming back and I recommend them to anybody who needs any type of service regarding computers or fax copying printing an email you cant get printed on your own and repairs. Plus they also have Hobby merchandise as in RC cars planes and hover craft things that used to be in there Bay Area computer store but they recently opened a new shop right around the corner on Fort Smallwood that not only sells the hobby vehicles but also has an indoor RC race track. And they can do partys and events there.

This Christmas, Santa brought me a brand new Motherboard, CPU and RAM! I just got my gaming PC at the end of 2017 and I made the sad mistake of buying one that was pre-built and overpriced with weak components... I had to upgrade my GPU (Graphics Card) and I bought the GPU and took it up to Bay Area Computers right away and they installed the GPU withen a hour!! I havent had one problem with my GPU since... I just took my new CPU and Motherboard up to Bay Area Computers and the guy said he would have it done by tonight or tomorrow morning! Which is awesome! He would of had it done sooner but hes super busy right now with a bunch of Laptops and different computer parts he has to install, I believe his name is Les. Hes a awesome guy, helps you out with whatever you need and is super knowledgeable when it comes to Electronics of all sorts and makes. Love this shop! Way better then Best Buy or another big name place because this is family owned and they actually care about the customers!! They have two shops, one up where Mars used to be off Fort Smallwood road and one down where Mcdonlads is by the Rivera Beach Fire Station! The one where Mars used to be is for RC cars and different types of hobbies... the one near McDonalds is for your Computer parts and other gaming system needs!

If I come in and need a part for my computer 98% of the time they have it for a good price (I needed 2 4gb of ddr3 ram and they had it) good deals, hopefully over time they grow and get more stuff, the owner has been sick for a while but they are still running it.If you need computer repair help go to that place, not compu computers or Best Buy. The screen on my low end laptop went crazy. I was thinking it was time to buy a new laptop but called Bay Area Computers. They looked at it and knew right away that the video processor chip was lifting off the circuit board from heat over time. They charged $75 to fix it and its been working great for months now.
