Brought my G37xs in to get my rotors and pads installed as well as replacing my passenger front axle. Dropped the car off at 9:30am and was told the car should be done at 6:00pm. They called at 1:30pm for me to pick it back up. Definitely was pleasantly surprised by their quick turnaround. They are a nissan/infiniti specialist and talking to them really does show it as well as the 20+ infinitis sitting in their parking lot. Even though they are a good hour away from me they will be my choice for any work that is done on my car.*UPDATE*June 29th 2021 I had to do some hard breaking and starting leaking break fluid from my front right passenger. After having it towed to the dealership they found the z1 ss brake line to be not clipped in and rubbing against the axle which caused it to fray. I had a vacation planned and did not have the time to tow my car an hour and 10 minutes away. Sadly the dealership did not get the pictures of it being installed incorrectly but this was the same axle I had replaced back in December along with all of my rotors and. Break pads. This would be too much of a coincidence for this shop to not be responsible for this happening as they were the only shop to touch my car within that time period. I also had headers installed 4 months after.. Luckily I did not hit anything or wrecked my car but I am still out 750 dollars for repairing this. I will not be back or reccomending them and going to a different shop for my future needs.
Engine swap was done with no issues. Great service as usual. Wouldnt take my Z anywhere else.
Replaced the instrument cluster on my G37. Excellent service. Good people. Definitely recommended.
The owners of Hills garage are extremely professional and helpful. Recently had a significant amount of work done on my 09 G37. For me coming all the way from Virginia is very inconvenient, but when I know that I can trust the shop happy to make the drive. Thanks!
I have been coming to Hills for about 2 years now to handle anything that I cant do myself. Frank is hands down one of the most knowledgeable VQ techs/ tuners and I trust him fully with my car! Suzanne is awesome to talk and work with, very friendly, also very knowledgeable and tells you like it is. Hills has been excellent with keeping me updated and in the loop about any issues/ or noteworthy things with my car. Theyve done suspension replacement, exhaust work, transmission/ differential flush n fills, you name it. If you have a VQ (or really any car, especially JDM) and arent going to Hills, youre wrong!
Absolute Professionals, Traveling down the highway one Sunday afternoon my Motor in my G37s had a rather traumatic ending to its life. I called around to 3-5 shops locally to me in Carroll County, MD and not a single one of them had any interest in taking on this job. Did a little research and ending up speaking with Suzanne & Davis @ Hills Garage. They ended up replacing my motor with ZERO issues. My car to this day has never felt better!! Without hesitation, When my Slave Cylinder started failing inside my transmission they were my First and ONLY call. Naturally, car people are very skeptical on where they take their vehicles but if youre reading this review, Hills Garage is THE place to take your vehicle. Frank, Suzanne & Davis I appreciate your hard work and dedication, I will be a customer for life.
Hills Garage is top notch. I waited 3 weeks to let the vehicle’s new engine, transmission, and other major upgrades break in. There has been not one issue. For 2.5 months the car was gone, but Davis and Suzanne kept me updated and listened to all my requests for upgrades in a patient manner. I was a bit of an annoyance but they handled it with class. Frank’s tune took the G37 from 309 to 330whp and it has never been so fun driving this car. What a pure driving experience all thanks to Hills Garage. Class, Patience, Quality, Transparency, Honesty, Integrity, and Punctuality are just some of the many things you can look forward to experiencing with Hills Garage. They are number 1 in the DMV and abroad for Nissan and Infiniti Specialists. Hit them up.
Needed specific parts for my car project and Hills made it a breeze. Explained very well how the parts all work together to make the project fun instead of a pain. Very knowledgeable if youre willing to listen. Also, the family environment of the shop will keep me going back for years to come.
Reached out Hills after a recommendation and even though wasnt able to take my G37 there, it was the one of the most pleasant and informative experiences I have had speaking to someone over the phone. David was very thorough on my options, what to expect and his past experiences with similar issues my car was having. I learned more about my vehicles problem in 5 minutes then I did after visiting the local Infiniti dealer.
Nov. 5, 2018. Just wasted $104 because of an inept tech. I come here to have my supplied front shocks installed. Tokico HPs for my G37. Part numbers HU3831 and HU3832. After a little while i get told that my shocks are wrong for my car cause the rod is longer than the rods on the shocks that are already on my car. I tried to explain that its the right parts, thats just how they are. Suzanne just isnt hearing it. She even make a comment about me not being able to shut my hood because the rod is so long!!! How you own a shop and not know that shocks sit under a mount and dont go through the engine bay is beyond me. Charges me a hours labor after telling the tech to put my car back together, still saying i have the wrong parts cause the rod is longer. Once i get home i even send her proof that these are the right parts. These shocks have been out for years, installed on many G37 coupes and sedans. All it takes is a quick google/bing search. Even remind her that her husband Frank, a real tech, installed a rear Tokico shock for my car a couple of months ago without issue. Its about 4 inches longer too than the oem shock. Even sends her pictures of it. Tells her it fits fine. Unbelievably she is still blowing me off and telling me i had the wrong parts. How you can say that just by looking at them? Shocks come in many different lengths for the same car. Im sure if her husband was there it wouldnt have been an issue but he wasnt there that day. Dont go here if Franks not working on your car. Apparently they hire anybody and call them a tech. Actually the tech cost everyone money this day. Cost me $100, and cost himself and the shop some money cause he didnt finish the job. To have him do all that work instead of double checking or test fitting since the car was already apart is extremely asinine.
I spoke with Kathy a few days ago and she was great. She was extremely honest about the upgrade information that I was inquiring about. I plan to visit their shop on a tune day to see whats going on out there due to her great customer service.
I only spoke with someone on the phone and man do these guys know a lot about Nissan/Infinitis. No appointment has been set yet but I for sure will be coming in to get some work done with this garage.Whoever answers your phones is very knowledgeable great customer service.
Frank Hill is the man I go to for work on my aging Twin Turbo 300zx because he knows them top to bottom, shoots me the straight truth about what it is to own and run these cars, and the work is always done right. He and Suzanne treat me with nothing but respect and earn my trust every time. Couldnt be happier that theyre local to me.
Frank and Susan are amazing, Hills garage is the best hands down. I previously owned a Nissan and Frank was very thorough, he was upfront and honest. If I needed anything done that could wait, Frank would say, it can wait and we will watch it.As my car got older and it was time to get a new one, he told me to bring it in to have it looked over to be sure it was a good sale i took it to him, even though he doesnt specialize in that type of car, he looked it over, walked me through and showed me what was needed printed it out. I took the print out back to the dealership and they fixed everything he suggested. I called Susan to ask questions about my alignment she told me how to handle it. I love hills garage and I will be taking my car back for all services. If your looking for a good mechanic, GO to FRANK and SUSAN. You will love them.
I own a 2019 Jetta and took it in for routine maintenance on a blind whim at Hills. I was met with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff with impeccable customer service. They did what Antwerpen Volkswagen of Glen Burnie could not do. You have assurance of peace of mind when bringing your vehicle in for service or repairs at Hills. Reasonably priced with extreme attention to detail.
I recently had a clutch job performed there. They both truly are the nicest most professional shop experience going. Excellent proficient prompt professional and attentive best described the atmosphere of the shop. I also traveled from south jersey for my new favorite shop. Great value and expertise. .
Hands down best shop in Maryland. Customer service through the roof and they make you feel like family not just a regular customer. Would highly recommend to anyone with any make or model.I take my 09 G37s there for any issues.
To all who are frustrated and not sure where to take their car for repairs or those who had questionable service never knowing if the job was ever done right. I can say with honest conviction that all my fears were put to rest once I found Hills garage. You have probably already read in most reviews that Frank and Susan make an incredible team. I can’t say enough of Frank’s knowledge and experience when it comes to working on cars. Whether it’s a repair or custom upgrade there is no one better. They will make sure the job gets done right the first time around. Hill’s genuinely cares and strives for happy customers who want to return. Folks they are here to stay. Next time your car needs service or custom performance upgrades give them a call and see for yourself. You wont be disappointed.Loyal customer.Paul d B.
Excellent service and a great staff who legitimately knows their stuff. I went in to get my spark plugs changed in my G37x. It took no time at all, I was able to wait, and my car has been riding good. Ill be going back to get the rest of my suggested maintenance done.
Ive gone here for a turbo install, coil over install, tunes, you name it. They really know their stuff and they even check in with me to check on how my cars are running after the fact to make sure there are no issues. Hands down, the best shop Ive been too.
Hills garage took excellent care of my 01 xterra. They have excellent customer service and were always honest with me about what I needed to get fixed versus what was not as pertinent. They did a lot of work on my car for a very reasonable price and always in a timely manner. I am so thankful that I found this shop when I did and would recommend them to absolutely anyone.
Only been twice, had them inspect my G for tuning and do a handful of maintenance and tune-ups, already feel and hear a difference in my car. Cant wait to strap and dyno, they are very personable and do impressive work.
WOW what a welcoming garage. The customer service is A1. Suzanne and Frank take care of you like family. They tell you what is wrong with your car. She also tells you how to fix it and what is most important. I appreciate a woman that know her cars... Must use them if you have a Nissan or a Infiniti.
Diagnosed my g37 in first our hour after I went to other shops and dealership.
Great customer service and fun people! Worked with my schedule and were very accommodating.
Kudos to Hills Garage! Great family atmosphere, top notch service and technicians. Frank and Suzanne are the best. I went looking for a good shop to service my 05 Z and my search is over. I even learned a few things from Frank today on keeping my Z running perfect. I am going back soon for a couple of mods! Its nice meeting folks that are passionate about cars and the ones that they work on. Not just out to make a buck. Frank, the nickel trick worked!
I stumbled onto this place off the internet. I was looking for a good place to get some work done on my car. They were totally knowledgeable on how to fix my G35. Theyre friendly most of all which I loved. I will be taking my car to them on the regular. I received a tune up and had some repairs done for a good rate. No need for the dealer! Hills Garage is the place to go. Ask for Susanna she was very cool to chat with about your car need as well!
Hills Garage is the best garage I have ever used. They have kept my Nissan Xterra fully maintained and have replaced several items (brakes, shocks, clutch and flywheel, oil changes...). I currently have 172,234 miles on it and it still runs great. Frank and Susanne have been a pleasure to deal with and they give my SUV the same love that they give to their 350Zs. I will be a loyal customer for life.
First of all, Hills Garage is where its at! I went there today with my 2014 Nissan 370z for an Uprev tune. I have never experienced a professional garage setting like this so it was amazing and i enjoyed every minute of it. The aspect that made it the best was the mechanic, Frank. While observing the tune, it was so obvious how much immense effort he put in. He was very patient and tried his hardest to do everything he can for MY benefit. Susanne was also just as amazing introducing us to this whole thing and explaining how it all works and what I would get out of it. Overall, it was perfect because I was very happy with the results from the tune and the sprint booster i got. The knowledge that Frank had and the honesty in the advice they gave just made things to perfection. Anyway, thank you Hills Garage!!!
Shop / guys were awesome. Got my car running right!!!
Amazing people at Hill’s. They’re honest and tell you exactly what you need for your car. If you’re looking for someone who knows how to work on Nissan and Infiniti’s, then definitely go to Hill’s Garage.
Car: 07 350zWork: Aftermarket LSD, Shorter Gears, and TuneBoth Franks and Suzanne not only performed great work, but also addressed all of my concerned associated with parts and the car.My car was never in bad shape, but their work certainly help augment the feel and performance of the car.I recently had the opportunity to track the car. I had a blast! but only because the car did not miss a single beat throughout the entire day.hands down, I had the best experience with Hills. Their service, workmanship, and price point can not be beat.Keep up the great work Hills!
Its such a relief to find a great place to have my precious INFINITI cared for. So warm and accommodating. Really engaged, competent and just great people to spend some time with. I couldnt be happier. Thanks a lot!!
Hills garage is the best in the area. we taken our cars to frank to get re-tuned after our previous and he was able to help us gain more WHP. This is the place to take your ride.
Hills is hands down the best place to take your Nissan or Infiniti. I had my 07 350z tuned and dyno by Hills. They squeezed every inch of power out of the mods I had done. The car runs great and is still very reliable. Will be back soon now that I have changed some things up!
Nothing short of excellent. Very knowledgeable, honest, and reliable. They turned a nightmare scenario with my Infiniti to a very rewarding experience. Dont waste your time with bootleg technicians, call them first. Suzanne and the team are FIRST RATE!!
Best shop Ive ever been to. Frank is the only mechanic other than myself Ill let touch my car, and Suzanne is the warmest welcome youll come across.
You know when something goes wrong with your car and you feel like the world is coming to an end? Well Hills garage will assure you otherwise. When you have some cool mods to hook up to your ride, Well Hills garage is the place. :)))))
Did a full bolt on, NA build by myself and drove it to them. I was nervous as I always am with anyone new working on my car. Frank definitely knows what he is doing, and will take great care of your car. I am the most OCD G35 owner I know and I wasnt nervous watching him beat on my car on the dyno for 4 hours. Car drives better than it ever has and the price I paid is extremely reasonable considering the knowledge Frank has when it comes to tuning the VQ engine. If you live in Maryland, this is where you want your G or Z tuned.
I took my car in to get a tune up and they did a tremendous job overall. Also a great place to be to watch tuning every saturday.
Great People and they do amazing work! wont bring my car anywhere else, these people are absolutely amazing!
Awesome Garage❤️❤️ Quality Customer service.
Great place for Nissan and Infiniti auto work and also any other vehicle maintenance that may need to be completed. Very knowledgable of work need to be done. Not over priced and very fast and friendly service. Will be using them for my car services again. It is hard to find good mechanics that arent out to get into a persons pockets. Until I chose Hills Garage. Excellent place!
Ive been going to Hills Garage for five or six years now for routine maintenance and minor repairs. Frank is a great mechanic and extremely honest, and he spends the same amount of time explaining things to me as he does with his big time tuner clients. you can tell he loves to talk shop because he loves what he does. I appreciate the meticulous detail he puts into his work, and is bar none the best mechanic I have been to. They arent gonna mess around with deceptive quotes or fix things that arent broken, they will let you know exactly whats going on.Ive referred many family and friends to Hills Garage, and nobody has left unhappy. As long as me and my family live within driving distance of the Baltimore area, Hills garage will ALWAYS be my go-to mechanic shop.
Best performance I ever been too, The Hill family are the best ..professional, funny, and get the job done the first time . Definitely better than Nissan dealer and more knowledgeable about these beautiful cars (Nissan /infinity 😁)
Excellent shop! These guys are Nissan and Infinity experts who turn out some amazingly fun cars.
Frank and his crew are amazing with great attention to detail
A performance shop that deals with Infinitys and Nissans. Owned by Frank and Suzanne. You want you car tuned and fixed rite, this is where you come if you are the Maryland area. Enough said. Try them out.
Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff!
I have nothing but high regards for Hills Garage. Frank is truly an enthusiast and was very thorough while working on both my cars. Suzanne kept me up to date every step of the way and made sure everything was on schedule. It is my preference to take my car to an independent mechanic and for Infinitis and Nissans in the area, I could not recommend a more capable and comprehensive shop.
I love this place and the owners .Always get the job done .I recommend to anyone .
Great family owned shop that gets the best work done!
I have a 97 honda accord that browns honda told me would be 900+ to fix I took it to hills garage and they had it fixed in 2 hours for 200 they did a awsome job on my car and I would highly recommend them they do awsome work and are fairly inexpensive
Hills garage is the only place that I trust with my 350zs needs. They tuned my car many moons ago and it was an amazing experience.Nothing has changed since. My car was 10 years more abused, and Frank, Suzanne, and their team once again worked magic. The car came back lowered with an all new suspension and brakes (ground down by hand to clear the inner barrel of the rims). It was a huge ask, and they made it happen.Take your car here, never look back.
We brought our G35 here for several years after it was out of warranty. The car is still running great with 170,000 miles on the odometer. They are a no-bullcrap kind of shop. They can do everything from routine maintenance to custom jobs for your Nissan or Infiniti cars. Every time I have been to the shop there have been some really great looking custom cars being worked on. I was always jealous.
Reliable good work and knows his stuff even goes above and beyond for preventable maintenance.
Great prices, friendly staff, extremely knowledgeable and honest. Cant ask for much more.
Short Version: Excellent service, excellent price. Highly recommended. Cost was markedly below average for the repair.Long Version: I have an Infiniti G37, and I was one of the unlucky owners that had a problem that is both well-known among the community and completely unacknowledged by Infiniti. As I did some research, I read any number of horror stories about the cost and hassle caused by this problem (low oil-pressure due to a poorly designed gasket). Needless to say, I was worried. I brought it to Hills Garage and mentioned what I thought the problem might be. The owner immediately recognized it, knew off-the-top-of-his-head what codes indicated the problem, and what the fix was. When they called me back to give me an estimate for the repair, it was significantly lower than what I had read was average for this problem, despite the cost of living in this part of Maryland being higher than average. When I went to pick the car up, the actual price turned out to be 25% BELOW the estimate. The owner even personally handed my a bag with the worn-out gaskets as a souvenir of Infinitis malfeasance.
Car: 2007 350ZWork: Motordyne True Dual Exhaust, Stage 2 Clutch and 21 lb Flywheel, Fuel Pump, Heavy Duty Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder, Custom one off Direct Port Nitrous and other supoorting goodies.Came out flawless...top notch customer service...amazing communication...and they treat you are like family and its their own car their working on! Give them time to do what they do and every thing they touch comes out perfect. They even find crap that other shops mess up and help you address the issue. No one else touches my car and I live in another state. From basic service to full engine builds...get on the schedule now! Keep it up Hills!!!!
These guys are AMAZING. Mrs. Hill knows exactly what she is talking about and will help you with everything you need. She is such a nice woman. Mr. Hill knows everything there is to know about Nissans and could easily slap a twin turbo setup on a VQ motor in his sleep. I had an aftermarket clutch and flywheel installed on my G35 and it was actually LESS expensive to have it done at Hills than many other shops. For a performance shop that specializes in Nissan/Infiniti, you cannot go wrong with Hills. Definitely the best shop I have ever dealt with. Will definitely be back and strongly recommend.
Family Run shop Nissan Specialist
Tried scheduling Dyno time and got a very short response of we dont Dyno 2004 Dodge I asked why since the website states they Dyno all 2wd vehicles (had to email twice to get a response) then the response I get back is that they only tune Infinity and Nissan. I just gave up, if their customer service doesnt know the difference between a Dyno test and Dyno tune Ill go somewhere that does. They may do good work but their CS is severely lacking.
Suzanne got back to me with a written estimate and took time to answer all the questions I had. Very knowledgeable an courteous service!
Best shop in the Mid-Atlantic region. Frank will even fix other issues that you didnt come in for, I live 2 hours away and they are still my go to shop for fixes.
Just got an UpRev/dyno tune for my 2013 370z, and I am very pleased with the results! Frank is very knowledgeable and was able to ensure that I got the most out of my tune. If you need any aftermarket work done to your Nissan/Infiniti this is the place to go hands-down.
I live in Reston, VA, but the trip to Elkridge was worth the drive. After attempting to do the work myself and stripping a header to cat bolt, HIlls Garage installed a new set of HFCs on my 370z without any issue. They also pointed out some really useful preventative maintenance I can do myself as well as some work another shop did incorrectly. They are honest, fair, and I plan on going back to them. Great work!
Trustworthy Service and unparalleled quality. I dropped by 2005 350Z off to get a new clutch and flywheel installed, and after meeting Frank - decided to Twin Turbo the car. As a Master Nissan Technician, hes beyond knowledgeable about Infiniti and Nissan automobiles, specializing in Zs and Gs.Frank and Suzanne are great people and do an unbelievable job at setting your expectations and working with you throughout the transformation of your car. Frank is now the only other person I trust to work on my Z. From Oil Changes and Tires to Twin Turbo Kit installs and Tuning...Hills Garage is where you want to be.
Bring your car to this guy if you want it diagnosed and repaired properly by a Nissan master tech. Frank is a no BS kind of guy that stands behind his work.
Cant go wrong here for custom fabrications and performance work!
To all Nissan, or Infiniti owners that are tired of lousy service from a dealer ship and dont want the hassel of multiple Technicians that dont really care about you or your car. I have one thing to say GO TO HILLs GARAGE! Frank knows his trade, and Susanne is a joy to work with. I recently had upgrades done to my G37S and before it was complete I ruptured my Achillies tendon, needless to say I cant drive for a few months, asked Susanne if they could deliver,(Id Pay extra) and they said no problem. Frank’s knowledge and experience is beyond compare. It is great speaking to someone who really knows what he is talking about and will honestly give you good advice when moding you car. Whether it’s a repair or custom upgrade there is no one better. Frank and Susanne make sure the job gets done right the first time around, and really care for their customers. I drive over an hour because they are the best Ive found! If you are woundering where to take your Nissan or Infiniti for great service, custom performance, and tunes call Hills Garage. I would not trust my car with anyone else. A loyal customer. Matt Gagne
I dont do a lot of online reviews, and Im skeptical of places that have unanimous 5 stars. That said, Hills Garage is top notch. Long story short my 1yr old remanufactured VQ35DE had a nasty timing chain issue. Frank was able to diagnose that the chain, guide, tensioniers etc. needed to be changed out rather quickly. I had a warranty on the engine and needed to have pictures and documentation etc to get the parts and labor partially covered. Once I called the builder to tell them the issue, Suzanne diligently worked with them to explain exactly what was going on, get appropriate parts shipped etc. This is important because Hills could have (and I was expecting them) to simply say you need a new timing chain, this is the bill, your warranty problems are not our concern.Suzanne also kept me up to date on exactly what was happening and when the car would be ready. Got her back now and shes running smooth as ever. Hills also took care of a few extra issues like a leak from the back of the cylinder head and suspension mount free of charge. If you have a Nissan/Infiniti and are in DC/MD or even Northern VA, Hills is your place. Theyre less than the dealer and they specialize in Nissans. My only regret is I didnt know about Hills earlier, I probably wouldnt have needed a remanned engine in the first place.
Horrible company. Would over charge you just to put on a pair of wheel spacers on let alone wouldn’t have the time or day to schedule an appointment for a tune.
I have a 370Z that I purchased a GTM twin turbo kit for. I did alot of the install my self and ran into issues with how the car was running. GTM recomended me to take my car to Hills Garage. So needless to say i scheduled a transport and he delievered my car to them. Well needless to say Frank got right on it and started looking everything over. During this process Mrs Hill would constantly call me to give me updates with what they found. After everything found was told to me I gave them the thumbs up to fix it. At this point he didnt pressure me to have him fix the car but just simply asked would you like me to do the repairs. I have talked to both Frank and Mrs hill so i will give a review on each one.Frank Hill: Well best way to put this is he knows his stuff. I think he could fix cars in his sleep. Always offers the best saloution and never tries to pull shaddy stuff. He is down to earth and is strainght up honest. He also posses a extremely high level of dedication that is beyond anything i have ever seen from a technician. Many times during the period my car was there he was still at his shop working on it till 10pm. With every issue he always had a saloutin in place to correct it and I must say with the issues my car was having i was suprised. He is a one stop place and I think he knows more about these cars(Nissan) then the engineers do lol. Further more he is completely approachable and takes the time to listen and talk to you.Mrs Hill: Well she is just a pure pleasure to speak to. Always on point with what is going on with your car. She has excellent communication skills and customer service. She will never rush you off the phone and you can have a converstaion with her about anything you want.(She loves Jerry Springer). When ever a issue was found she never just sat on it, and was extremely quick to call me about it to let me know. Upon my first time talking to her I asked about them and she also took the time to tell me about both her and Mr. Hill. She is all about developing a personnal relationship with her customers so its not just a voice on the other end of the phone to them and that is the type of shop I want. All in all this is the best garage I have ever delt with. There work is beyond anything I have seen before. Shipping the car to them was well worth every penny and I would do it all over again if I had to. Any mods from here on out I do to my car I am not going to hesitate on sending it to them even though I am over 250 miles away. They are truely one of the only shops you should go to regardless of where you are at in the country because they are going to get the job done right and at a very fair price. Thanks for everything Mr and Mrs Hill, I will be a customer till the day I dieFrank
National shop wanted to replace the entire muffler, even though there was no rust. These guy only did what was need and saved me hundreds $.
I dont know if it is because Im African-American or because Im a woman but this place tried to charge me three times the cost of the parts as what is sold at a parts store. Not only that, they had duplicate line items on my estimate and tried to charge me for three different parts when the part is sold as one unit. Luckily for me, I checked the prices of the parts at a parts that the dealerships and garage that services Nissans in my old neighborhood. Hills got me for $90+ dollars for the diagnostic and thats all the money they will ever get out of me.

Friendly, honest, and thorough service.
