Her confidence and comprehension level has skyrocketed in the subject! Lianne is thorough and patient, willing to work with our student on her own terms.

We have had an amazing experience with AJ Tutoring. I panicked when my son received a low Chemistry test score and knew he needed tutoring help. AJ Tutoring was recommended to me. They immediately followed up with me and we ended up pairing my son with Christina. SHE IS INCREDIBLE! The expectations she set and communication with my son was fantastic. She is an expert in the material. My son learned so much. What I personally loved was that his self-esteem improved. He would show me his work when he completed an assignment and was really proud of himself that he understood what he was doing now. He would never been able to get there without Christinas help. I could not recommend her more highly!!!

When my high school sophomore was struggling with her Chemistry class, we decided to give AJ Tutoring a try. I signed up with AJ for SAT prep, and my assigned tutor was Camille since I needed the most help with the reading section. Ramon has been extremely helpful in helping me with Calculus. Hes thoughtful, dedicated, and very much on top of things. I had a great time working with Susan on my literature subject test. She always has a positive and encouraging attitude and knows how to make learning difficult concepts interesting and fun. I studied for the ACT with Sophia L and she was absolutely wonderful. Workload was good, explanations were clear and I learned many helpful test techniques which were specific to me. Camille is very positive and is extremely helpful in a one-on-one setting. I have gained a lot from tutoring such as honing in on strategies to help me raise my score on the SAT. The most important thing about Camilles private tutoring is how they help me excel in parts of the test which I am bad at. The tutoring here was super dope! I started tutoring here in the beginning of the semester because I wasnt doing so hot, and from the tutoring here I managed to finish the semester with a tight A. This program really gave me the structured and disciplined schedule of practice which I was looking for to do well. I was also pleased by the large amount of practice resources available and the helpful feedback after each practice test from my tutor which helped me improve my score every time. My experience working with Jared could not have been more positive.

AJ tutoring more than doubled the price of their test prep services going from $70 an hour to $150 an hour in less than a year. It’s likely they have further increased the cost since we last used them in 2016-17. None of this increase was passed along to the tutors they employ. Tutor turnover is high. The most cost effective tutors are college students and high school seniors who also seem to develop better rapport with students.In response to AJ Tutoring reply that they have never doubled their fees, I know for a fact that they have. A friend of ours was charged $70/hr for test prep at AJ Tutoring and therefore referred us to AJ Tutoring. When I told her that we were quoted $150/hr for test prep exactly one year later, she was horrified. She then contacted the tutor who had worked with her daughter. That tutor was no longer working for AJ Tutoring and also said the huge fees they charge parents are not passed along to the tutors.

I would highly recommend AJ tutoring. Carmel Richard was a great tutor. She knew the subject extremely well, she was kind, professional, and had a wonderful and supportive tutoring style. 5 Stars!!!

He was looking for help in being able to work with someone to help clarify and go more in depth with the subject matter- as well as identify areas where he wasnt understanding concepts.The first tutor we were assigned to did not have the level of math expertise to help our son. It was not a good fit. I actually cut the session short.We contacted AJ Tutoring and expected to move on to find someone privately. The company contacted us right away to offer to ask if we wanted to meet with a different tutor. I did not have high expectations - but they were willing to have our son meet with Matt F. at no cost to us. The meeting went very well and we decided to continue our sessions with Matt F.. I cant say enough positive things about Matt F. He not only prepped ahead of each session (he asked me in advance of the first session, the name of the book our son was using, and what chapters to start with), but Matt was very amenable and capable of working with our sons style of learning. Matt F. was very professional, communicative and perceptive. He made very good suggestions on what our son should be doing outside of the tutoring sessions.My goal was not to get my son to achieve a specific grade (we were not shooting for As), my goal was to help our son feel like he could be successful in this math class, to feel comfortable with the material and to teach him to independently set up appointments, cancel ahead of time, and arrive on time! So basic life skills as well. And Matt was helpful in teaching Ryan those skills as well.I went into this as a skeptic - but ended up incredibly pleased and surprised at how helpful it turned out to be beyond just working on math skills.

AJ Tutoring is a really good company that can help you with subjects that you have trouble in or just need more work on. Robert Jonas is an amazing tutor! He is my go-to person for both tutoring and test prep help. I first worked with him when I was in high school while preparing for both the SAT and ACT. With his help, I was able to get exceptional scores that (along with my GPA and extracurriculars) got me a half-tuition scholarship to my dream school. I also was tutored by him when I struggled with my advanced chemistry and biology courses in high school. He is very professional and amicable, and I never felt intimidated or embarrassed for needing help. He was understanding when it came to my school and work schedules, and he was always very accommodating. Most recently, he helped me prepare for the GRE. Again, he helped me surpass my score goals and I have been accepted to my top choice for graduate school. Overall, Robert Jonas is exceptional in all respects and I highly recommend any and all services of his. He will be my choice again when I begin to study for the MCAT!

I was tutored at AJ tutoring for the SAT. Jared Greene, my tutor, pinpointed my areas of need and helped me improve. My Critical Reading and Writing scores combined improved by 300 points! Due to the tutoring my SAT score improved to a score that not only I was more than happy with, but along with other factors helped me get into my top choice, the University of Chicago!

We had a very good experience at AJ Tutoring. My daughter worked with Joshua Lee to prepare for the ISEE and SSAT tests. Joshua was able to give her test-taking tips to hopefully increase her score -- particularly for the verbal sections of the tests. She also was able to come to AJ Tutoring for a full practice SSAT test which was also very helpful. Joshua is an excellent tutor. My daughter did increase her score on the tests after working with Joshua. We would definitely seek him out again for future academic or testing help.

First, she helped me improve my reading strategies so that I comprehend more of what I read which has really helped me not only for my English class, but also for the SAT. She has also taught me how to make effective outlines which have definitely improved the quality of my essays. She is incredibly kind and nice, I am super glad i got to know her!

When our daughter was preparing for the PSAT/SAT, my wife freaked out given how high the averages have risen since when we were students. We were recommended AJ Tutoring. Initially we were somewhat skeptical, since test prep was practically nonexistent in our day. Not to mention the tutor AJ recommended was one of our college TAs (whom we did not utilize either in college)! But, we are very glad that we signed up because Rob Jonas was an excellent test prep tutor. In a few sessions, he raised our daughters score more than we ever imagined was possible. Brian Yu is such an amazing tutor! Even if tutoring for standardized testing is not everyones idea of fun, I really enjoy my sessions with Brian. He has helped me with my english grammar and reading and has worked very hard to help me with the science section of the ACT. Whether he is drawing a picture of a frog on a log to demonstrate prepositions or if he is explaining a math question to me he always makes me laugh. Brian always has multiple ways of answering my questions and always makes sure that I am not confused. I would definitely recommend Brian as your tutor.

AJ tutoring set me up with my tutor, Todd Lavine, right away. He answered all of my questions and had a plan to break up the test into digestable, manageable sections. He was always prepared with a mini lesson on each new topic when we had a session and presented the material in a variety of different ways (IE drawing on the whiteboard, using sample questions etc). I always look forward to seeing Todd, and I know that he always helps me to the best of his ability because he honestly wants me to do well. My practice SAT score has improved over 200 points thanks to Todd and I feel ten times more prepared for the SAT than I did before I cam to AJ!
