I purchased a Groupon for my sister and I to have a girls day when she visited. I wasn’t able to get ahold of the salon to make an appointment, so we showed up thinking maybe they accepted walk-ins. The very rude receptionist told us it was appointment only. We decided to go to a different salon. From there I wanted to use the service I already paid for and must have called 30 times and left at least 5 voice messages and no one called back. So, after 3 months of trying to call I showed up to the salon again to be told that the owner is the only technician who does Groupons and she was not working that day and is overbooked? Very unprofessional. I ended up getting a refund from Groupon.
I have to take back my previous review. I got a gel mani and pedi and they chipped the day of. Gel isnt supposed to chip so easily! When I took a better look I could even see the brush strokes. Expensive and not that great. They do have amazing service but thats all.

I mean seriously? Look at my nails. I can paint my own and do a far better job. And this was after I pointed out several fixes to make...eventually I just gave up. This was actually a redo from a previous bad experience...I scheduled it with a different nail tech this time and I STILL had a horrible manicure. Terrible service every time. The nail techs just don’t care. They’re too busy chatting. It’s like they’re not even looking at what they’re doing. I walked out without tipping because if she doesn’t care, I don’t either. For a nice and costly salon, you’d think the experience would be at least better than one of those strip mall locations—but it’s actually worse. Two (sloppily painted) thumbs down!
Purchased a Groupon for mani/pedi and called to make an appointment multiple times and left voicemails but no one ever picked up, or even called back. They are not serious about there profession. I gave them a second chance, and called back a few days later, with no response again. Eventually called Groupon and got a refund.
I love the new location, great parking and conveniently located! This is a beautiful salon and the owner Abby is always very personable and genuine! She is a perfectionist and gives lots of attention to detail, truly an experienced professional! We are always greeted with a sincere smile from the staff and always made to feel like our satisfaction and happiness is number 1 to them. I highly recommend this salon.
Such a cute boutique salon! Full service, great gel manicures and awesome pedicures! The hairdressers are really talented, I had the best cut and blow dry and saw so many ladies getting beautiful color.. Im booked to go back:). The owner does all my friends facials and lash extensions. Its a fun friendly atmosphere, youll love this place like I do!
I have been here several times now, and have had very positive experiences with manicures, pedicures, and eyelash extensions. Ive booked appointments with Groupons, and never had any issues. The owner & staff treat you like family. I think the costumer service is top notch & the facility couldnt be more beautiful. Id like to transition all my salon services to here... its full-service, high-end treatment at affordable prices!

I have had multiple pedicures at Mikimoto. Staff was friendly! Service was excellent. Atmosphere is very nice. I definitely recommend to my friends.
Claudia is amazing!!! She did a frech manicure on my nails and they were beautiful! I loved her haircut and asked who did it and she said herself. Usually hair stylists do not know how to cut long hair without chopping half of it off and she made me very happy and now I go to her regularly.

The manager is rude and she did a horrible job on my nails. Very globby and didnt paint the entire nail, sides are bare. Very hard to make appointment. I wanted to get my nails done with my mom, but they only had availability on different days. The salon is nice and the receptionist was very kind.

Really, REALLY dissatisfied with Salon Mikimoto. Purchased a Groupon. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. Realized that my appointment was too late in the day and called back 10 days prior to said appointment date and changed to earlier in the day. Well, I just got a call to confirm my appointment for the first appointment time. So, I am now out an appointment and too bad is the feeling I get from them. Blamed this mistake on a power loss and their appointment times are only backed up every two days.
Wonderful first time visit! Place is chic and clean. Love the boutique layout and the friendliness of the staff. Got a gel mani from Groupon. I didn’t know the owner, Abby, was working on me until almost the end. She was sweet, caring and a perfectionist on my nails. She covered my little cut with Neosporin & a bandage so it wouldn’t burn as she took off my nail polish. I’ve been looking for years for a nail salon I can rely on, and I found it!! I can’t wait to go back!

Great vibe as soon as you walk in. My gel nails are amazing, they look perfect for 3 weeks. I also get my hair and facials at Mikimoto and Abby is amazing!
Worst service and haircut ever!! Going on 12 weeks now to still try and fix it.. And they are extremely rude and patronizing, especially the owner. Im not one to ever write a review but my experience with them was so appalling that I only wish I would have read reviews for myself prior. It was actually their own employees that suggested I write the review because of how unfairly they felt I was treated.

I used a groupon for shellac & pedicure. The service was terrible. The technician did not seem to know what she was doing. She took a very long time. All of the gel polish peeled off within 2 days. The pedicure was very sloppy. I dont usually post reviews, but felt I should. I had a terrible experience just trying to schedule the appt. I had to book it 3 weeks in advance.
This place is a scam. I bought a deal for my daughter to use on her birthday and they told me they were all booked until mid- june I even tried for a mid week appointment but no luck. Do NOT buy a groupon or living social deal for this salon; I suspect they wont even be around to honor it.

I dont usually write reviews online but I feel compelled to say that I also had the worst customer service from this business location. I had purchased two groupons and upon walking into the business they told me that I cannot ever use groupon for this location again. Granted I understand what they mean, a more appropriate way would be to say we appreciate your business and will have to reserve future coupon for new customers but instead they told me I will not be able to return to the business using the coupon in the future. That conversation already set a negative tone and upon visiting the place I know this will be the first place I would NEVER wanted to book my appointment ever again even it is FREE!
Bought 2 Amazon Vouchers for 2 gel manicures to this place. Called weeks/months ahead of time to make appts for special occasions. Go to first appt and they claim I am not booked for an appt. Luckily someone was able to take me. At the end, the main lady who is beyond rude (couldnt believe how she speaks to her employees by the way) takes my 2 printed vouchers from me and says she will put them in the system for next time and hold on to them. Come back a few weeks later for my 2nd appt. They say they do not have my vouchers and I need to try to find them on my email... which was from about a half year ago and I did not have the email anymore. Finally the one guy who works there at the front desk accommodates me and says I can go ahead back. After all that, it is now 4 days after my gel manicure and 2 nails are already peeling off, which these are supposed to last a minimum of 2 weeks. I will never be going back here.
Terrible with scheduling Groupon and other promos. The owner has told me that if you have groupon you cant schedule during regular business hours so no weekends or high traffic times, but if scheduled without groupon you can get almost any day or time you want. Btw, just a warning the owner is very rude!
Unlike the other reviews, I had a positive experience at Salon Mikimoto with my Groupon. I had no issues with my appointment. Everything was very pleasant from the moment I walked through the doors until I left. I had a sweet & professional girl named Wafaa give me a great mani-pedi. I would definitely recommend Wafaa and this salon.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced, not even in Wal-Mart have I ever seen such rudeness. Thank goodness I never made it in for the mani/pedi, because judging from the comments below it seems that you are better off going to a different salon. The owner was rude, and patronizing and no willingness to assist or attempt to make my appointment experience different. I would recommend to GROUPON or LIVING SOCIAL to never allow such a poor business to use their name for profit!
It took 8 months and 5 cancellations to get my final groupon massage. Young male receptionist and aesthetician are fabulous and masseuse is good but incredibly everyone else is snobby, not friendly and certainly not professional. My first appointment (I wasnt able to get all the groupon services on same day) the girls were late getting the salon open (no apology) and then the girl behind the desk and one of the nail girls carry on a conversation about their wild night prior. Since the construction and re-furbishing it looks very pretty--but the walls/doors are not sound proof and I had to have my massage (starting 10 min late) this morning with loud rolling carts, water pipe noises and most annoyingly loud conversations about hair styles right outside the door. Will not be returning....certainly better places around (such as Salon Aquatica upstairs and Lane Spa down the street).

I didnt even make it in for a mani-pedi. just making 2 appts. once in December nasty customer service. did have time for me. and then again in January made the appt for February and they redeemed my groupon in January before I arrived for my appt.. So I called they were so nasty in explaining their reason for redeeming my groupon. then also refused my business. so my friends and co-workers will NOT go to this place. WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I PURCHASED THIS GROUPON.
Bought a Groupon and they are FAR from accommodating! Walk-ins are NOT welcomed and quite frankly, they came across with a snobby, better than you attitude. GROUPON/LIVING SOCIAL BUYERS BEWARE!! Yes, i bought a grupon coupon, but it does not mean you have to treat me different( i still tip on full price). Or do not run grupon promotions. Manicure was done poorly. Im getting married in 4 days and now I have to go and do manicure again. Im very upset. Girl cut my feet and did not even apologized. My feet was bleeding and she did not do anything to stop bleeding. When I came to salon bathrooms had long black hair all over the place. Honestly cheep salon by my house is cleaner and nicer then there. Very upset. And i have gidt certificate for facial there. Im not going back. I dont ned cuts in my face. Any body wants to buy it for 1/2 price?
This is the first time I have EVER written an online review. My experience at Salon Mikimoto was so horrendous, I feel compelled to do so. I was presented a Living Social package from my kids to the salon for a facial, manicure and pedicure. I should have known this would not go well after how difficult it was to make the appointment. There was NO WAY they could fit me in to do everything at once, although that is how it was sold. I eventually just booked the facial. The day I walked in, there was hardly anyone in the place, except one person waiting, TWO people behind the desk and someone standing around who eventually acknowledged my presence. The folks behind the desk couldnt be bothered. While waiting for my facial, I asked to schedule my mani/pedi, since they couldnt possibly have found the time to do it that day, and receptionist one told receptionist two, Tell her not for two weeks. OK. Boy, your business must be so great that you cant fit in a single mani/pedi for two weeks. Good for you. Had my facial which was INCREDIBLE. Couldnt have been nicer or better treatment. I was the last appointment of the day, so I when I was done I went to the reception area to inquire the cost of the service to give a proper tip. Do you think the receptionist or the owner even acknowledged I was standing there? Not a chance. They were busy doing paperwork. When I finally got an answer, I tipped the fabulous facialist, and walked by them again saying Thank you. Was I acknowledged then? Not even a little. What salon doesnt A. ask how your experience was or B. respond when spoken to? Knowing I was coming back for my mani/pedi, I waited for this review to see how the experience would be. Well, Im here to report, not much better. The mani/pedi was mediocre at best. Besides the fact that the girl who did them never even introduced herself and seemed like she was doing me a favor the whole time, I get more attention on my feet from my dog. And did anyone ask me how my services were today? Well, you know the answer to that one. Honestly, in an area where there are Day Spas on every corner, you need to at least do the minimum in customer relations to even stay afloat. It seems to me that if youre going to put a special out on LIving Social, its to bring people to your salon and hopefully grow your business. Well, epic fail. Not only would I NEVER go back, I have already shared my experience with others, who also had similar experiences. Dont bother putting out discounted specials if youre not interested in the new business. Horrible business, indeed.
Pretty place poor service!I bought a Groupon for this place and when I walked in there were about 4 employees and no customers. I asked for a mani & pedi and the receptionist said do you have an appointment....really there were NO customers!!! I said no when can I make one...they didnt have anything available till a week later! I have never been to a nail spa where you had to wait a week for a mani & Pedi....They really should put in all there advertisements, websites, Facebook etc.. that you MUST have an appointment! Absolutely ridiculous...I mean come on this place is in a poorly park-able strip mall!!!!
HORRIBLE OWNER!!! I bought my mother a groupon and they treated her terrible!!! No record of her appointment than threw the groupon at her and told her to call groupon if she didnt like it!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

Had a Shellack manicure there done and 2 of my nails peel with in 4 days...they gave me an appointment to come in and fix the two nail 8 days latter... but that day almost all my nail polish was gone, they looked awafull. The owner refuse to redo my nails and wanted me to pay $10.00 to fix them even though it was not my fault. the lady that did my nails did not work there anymore and other people had to go back as well because of her poor Job and regardless the owner want it me to pay... Terrible Customer service,I will never go there again, the owner knew the lady who did my manicure did a terrible job and had prior complains and she put me with her only to tell me later to go pound sand....
