They seem very knowledgeable. I will post an update once I see how their advice plays out. Not only do they offer products and services around getting your lawn and garden into a good spot, but they also have some nice plants and terrariums.

Great place to get your own pest control items. The people here are super friendly and nice. Also they are very helpful too. While your there make sure to check out their plants as well.

Priceless knowledge and always willing to help and advice. I virtually use zero pest, or lawn control products from the big box stores and end up paying 1/2 (or less) the price per gallon with product that works twice as good. Thus using less chemicals as well. You buy in more concentrated versions and end up with enough for a season, or three - but well worth it due to the results and effectiveness. (just dont drink the stuff..) You might pay ~8%-12% more than the lowest on-line price, but well worth it because you will use the right product in the right amount under the right conditions and get results. (tipping a waiter/waitress for a one time meal is 15%-20%...) My net price for most products purchased here is ~$2.50 to $4 per gallon (guessing at $8/gln for the highest end(?)). I do not carry a termite bond on my home, nor have fear of termites (because I am more protected than most homes), never have an ant, roach, or whatever problem and a relatively weedless lawn.

Great selection of plants. Prices vary, slightly expensive. Clearance rack outside is great to pick from. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Great place and knowledgeable. I used them one a few years back to restore my St. Augustine lawn and it came back to life. Still using them today and happy. No BS just straight to the point on what to do and NOT to do

Great experience here. Their recommendations initially helped us with an indoor spider problem and some lawn pest problems. We havent had any issues since.We just returned for advice on treating some more inside pests. They were super helpful and explained what we should do.The employees have been really friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and go above-and-beyond with their customer service. We drive 45 minutes just to come here.

Excellent store. Bring in your worst lawn or pest problem and they can solve it. Here’s a tip, their custom in-house blended fertilizers are better than the big name brands and cost less. My lawn looks awesome now. Thanks DIY Pest Control.

Very helpful and really pinned down what I needed to get rid of a ghost ant problem I caught early...stuff did the job. My brother put me on to them last year when he had the same problem and spoke highly so I tried them and will recommend.

I was talked into purchasing a $100 bag of insect aside for my lawn assuring me it would kill my sod webworms on contact and I completely wasted my money. Waste of money

Rebecca is very knowledgeable and will cut right to the chase and will tell you exactly what your lawn issues are. If she tell you to use a product, you should purchase it, use as directed, and you will always see positive results.

This review is regarding the “nursery”, I love buying plants from this location so much. :) They have such a wonderful selection and a lot of more “rare” plants that a lot of people drool over on my tiktok page. I am so grateful for this shop, the selection is beautiful and everything is priced so well. The staff is knowledgeable and I never feel uninformed when I leave. Awesome service at Do it yourself Lawn and Pest. The young lady at the counter is always so nice and professional. She seems very knowledgeable and willing to go that extra step to help the customer.

I came in today for my first time. I liked the plants and the space, but the employee that was working there was not wearing a mask and was proudly serving people bare-faced. I would have spent money here were it not for the lack of regard for customers safety, especially given that everyone shopping in the store was wearing a mask and your employee was the only person in the building not. That’s a bad look, especially after this pandemic has killed over half a million Americans.

They are very informative and helpful there.

I bought a philodendron brandi from this place. It was attached to a piece of wood and when I tried to remove the wood I realized it is attached by the roots to the wooden board with a rubber band. Multiple roots got ripped out. I called them to let them know and they said they didn’t care. This place sucks every plant I’ve gotten has had a problem. Don’t shop here unless you want problem plants.

We didnt realize how much we enjoy coming here until the 4th time (they were unfortunately closed the 4th time lol)! They dont have as many selections of plants as other places but every time we go, they have a lot of new selections available.The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because they dont label all their plants and labels can be very helpful especially for new plant parents lol but other than that, everything is great!

Really nice people that work here and beautiful array of plants. But i bought 2 plants from here and unfortunately they both had fungus gnats. Odd for a place that is to control pests.

It’s really disheartening to see a local place I once sang praises about take advantage of their own community. Beware that it seems as if DIY has been picking up hanging baskets at big box stores to flip them & mark them up for 3x the price. I’m glad I noticed the ripped off HomeDepot tag but I won’t be returning since I don’t know what other unethical practices they might take part in. They are addicted to watering here too so make sure you check your plants for root rot.

I generally like this place because they don’t TYPICALLY price gauge but it is pretty disappointing to see that they seemingly bought all of the hoya compacta baskets from the big box store nearby and resold them for almost triple the price (this is all alleged of course but they were in the same baskets you get from costa farms at those stores and they were just released only to be sold out immediately, then I went here and found about 5 of them for $45.) I just expected more and the fact that they’re knowingly contributing to the plant market being inflated does feel pretty frustrating. I drove around all morning from box store to box store looking for them to no avail and then stopped by DIY only to see this... makes me mad/frustrated to say the least. Not sure I’ll go back just on principle

What don’t they have here? My go to spot for seeds, soil, compost, you name it. The staff is the best, super knowledgeable and friendly. Has a tiny ant problem, the identified what ant, suggested a treatment, solved on first application.They also sell the best local honey, I’m partial though.Bee Guy approved!

I have followed everything they have suggested and my empire zoysia lawn looks better than any resort or golf course.

I got two plants, one of them had fungus gnats. However, both plants are very healthy and growing beautifully. Just sad I had to treat the gnats considering this is a place that gets rid of pests.

Staff friendly and knowledgeable. I am a local pest control company and I rely on the supplies for pest and urban wildlife problems. They dont charge extra fees for using debit cards, or credit cards. Beware, because the other locations with the same name d. I. Y. Pest Control stores charge a surcharge up to 6% of the total amount you spend, which is actually not ethical or legal, but the Oviedo store does not do this. In fact, she gives pros with state license a big discount off her already low costs. She also has a great live aquarium plants and other plants and gifts set up to buy.

Always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If you wanna do it yourself, they are a great source for knowledge and product quality & availability.

Good prices. For professional products the pros use I called today for a quote to take care of some roaches and fleas 200 bucks I went here and paid 50 bucks for a bottle that will last 2 years easy and saved 150 and dont have to remove my pets totally from the apartment,

Knowledge of products, insects, pests, is king here. Safe products for home, ppl, & pets.

They are very friendly and well-informed staff. I especially love the extras they have that encourage gardening as with the Earth Boxes--so easy to grow edibles. Earth Box comes with instructions that are the easiest. We dont need a green thumb to grow with those. I have over 20 of them now! They are addictive!

They know lawns and provide better lawn care products and advice than big box stores.

If you are a novice to Florida lawn maintenance this is the place to go. They have a solution for almost everything. The quality of the advice is unparalleled. Once I started going here I dropped the big boxes for all my lawn care needs since the big box store advice just did not come close to providing the quality of advice of Do It Yourself Lawn and Pest Control’s. My best example is that I could not get a product from the big box stores to kill crabgrass but not my lawn. The solution I bought from DIY worked very effectively.

Who knew we had access to so much knowledge and products about our lawns locally? I love this place, everyone who works there is so helpful and patient explaining what works the best. You can ask anything about lawn or pest care and they will give you recommendations. I never feel pressured to buy unnecessary items. As much as I love the big orange hardware store, this place is much more specialized and you will find expert advice. My favorite is Rebecca, she is great at listening and suggesting exactly what is needed. A great resource right here in Oviedo.

Friendly service, very knowledgeable staff. Products arent cheap, but trust me these work the first time and worth it. Fertilizer is the same as Scotts just without the name stamped on it. Staff also helps carry products out to car. If youre going to do it yourself come here and ignore the big box hardware stores.

Staff appears knowledgeable. Had very negative experience with loaner spreader dumping piles of product. Staff member went through litany of things that can be done when experiencing problems but then said it was assembled improperly. This is not rocket science and we are paying the premium for knowledge.Claims dumps of product does no harm. I wonder whether my lawn is protected, i.e., what was happening between dumps. No longer comfortable with competence and integrity.

100% recommend. Saved hundreds of dollars going here instead of going with a exterminator for a rat problem. Staff is very friendly and helpful with great suggestions.

I dont mind paying more for a product if I get customer service. Youre not only getting product but they help identify a problem and give instructions. When you shop online can you bring in leaves from your trees or plants for an analysis? I think not! I prefer to shop local whenever possible because if I run into a problem help is right here. In addition, many/most of the products DIY sells arent available at hardware stores because they are professional grade. Supporting local business helps our community.

These guys are ripoff. Everything they sell is at least DOUBLE the price you can buy for same professional chemical on line. Each person will recommend different chemical (Most expensive) they have for same problem, including Rebecca (Owner) sometimes you wonder if they even know themselves, what they are doing.

Buyer beware. High prices, but worse, they will tell you anything to sell you a product. Recently went in with my weeds and was told that the product I bought would take care of all but one of them. Not only did the product not kill the weeds but it killed my grass.

Great service, ive shopped here for years and they have always helped me out with anything ive needed. Sabian has even special ordered traps for me. They offer soil analysis, ph testing, if you bring in a section of grass or leaves of a plant you are having trouble with they will identify the issue and give you options on what to do.Very helpful, very friendly and have been in business for 20+ years they must be doing something right. Similar businesses have come and gone these guys are holding on strong.The guys complaining below are complaining about price are ubsurd; you cant expect a company to match prices of online competition. There are bills and labor to pay, besides when you have an issue with your lawn or plants the online company cant and wont offer any asistance.There is no guarantee you are getting the actual product, many online pesticides are knockoffs. There is two termidors available there is one made in China that isnt worth the bottle it shipped in. Ive been in pest control for 9 years any quality products are not cheap
