If I could give ZERO stars, I would!! My sister and I had an appt at 2 for two pedis. We arrived at 1:55 and it took several minutes to even have anyone acknowledge that we were there. They finally got us back I to chairs around 2:05 but we needed up walking out at 2:35 without a single person talking to us. We sat there and watched them take person after person, even people who arrived after us, and we just sat there. My sister couldn’t even put her feet in the water it was so hot but no one said anything to us. I have been getting my nails and toes done for YEARS and I have NEVER in my life walked out without having a service. This was the worst experience I have had! I would not recommend this place to anyone and if you have an appointment, you still have to wait so plan accordingly! So mad and disappointed. Not even going to give them a second chance. They didn’t even say sorry or offer and gift card for next time or anything. Do not go here!!!

The best! My personal favorite is Ana, she is so careful and makes sure you leave a happy client! All the employees are great and it’s a beautiful space that is very clean and has that luxury feel to it. I highly recommend this place to all!

Nail tech was in such a rush she filed into my fingers twice, and the second time it wouldnt stop bleeding. Didnt offer an apology or anything. I felt as if I was an inconvinece by being in her chair, and very unfriendly staff overall.

I wanted to give this a great review as this salon is by my house but I simply can’t. One of the most disappointing experiences at a nail salon I’ve had the misfortune to experience.The man that I had was rude towards me and seemed annoyed with having to service my nails. First he asked me how short my nails were to be cut. I am a teacher so by policy short enough to not scratch a child or anyone, before I could finish my statement he interrupted me to say “just tell me how short heh, I can’t read your mind.” I found this INCREDIBLY RUDE. Talking to costumers this was it not good service. Sir, could you not let me finish my 2 second statement? But whatever. He seemed annoyed to have to always be adjusting my hand. My elbow was sitting on the edge of the table and I kept trying to help him by keeping it there. What my hand does it’s... a natural reaction to keeping my hand up for a period of time. Getting frustrated with someone whom is paying you a service .... How rude.He kept sighing every time he had to adjust my hand or fingers, and once it slipped and I even apologized but he seemed annoyed with me. But when I started to get fed up he asked me if I was ok.The worst part for me was when I told him I wanted a certain finish with my nail. He told me it wouldn’t look good with my color. I understand some people don’t know what they want and they seek professional opinions. But when someone clearly states what they want it’s not polite to argue with them about the choice regardless if you personally don’t like it. Over and over he told me it wouldn’t look good. But I did get the matte finish. In my right pointer finger there is a bubble visible whether it be covered by a matte or shiny finish. So..... the quality of the manicure and powder dip is ok. But I also have a cut on my RIGHT pinkie finger. So long story short - RUDE, IMPATIENT AND WANTED TO ARGUE WITH ME.Also said when signing the bill that no tip was able to be giving unless by paying with cash. I paid with card. He said he told me this information. HE DID NOT ONCE AT ANY POINT LET ME KNOW CASH ONLY TIPS. Wouldn’t have given one anyways for being inconsiderate. Go somewhere else ladies and gentlemen.

Betty is the sweetest woman in the world! I always get nervous when I’m trying out a new nail salon, but she did such a great job. I have two broken nails and she fixed them! I’ve finally found a good place, will be returning again!!

Beautiful shop and we were helped immediately. Unfortunately, there was someone else’s toenail on towel given to clean my feet. Was this a clean towel? Was this just a bionic toenail that made it through the wash?? Either way, she yanked the toenail off, said it was just polish, and put the towel back on my station. Sorry you’re not getting you my business today.

Nail tech (name starts with L), does a great job with shaping nails and attention to detail. However, she needs training on customer service! When she cut my cuticle, I was tense and she said you need to relax and rolled her eyes! My hands were stiff from typing all day and she was visibly annoyed and sighed (I did my best to relax my fingers). I also asked which brands she uses for her custom color (she mixes pink/white, two dip powder brands), and she refused to tell me. Most places are happy to tell you the brand/color number you are getting, instead she gave me the run around and again appeared annoyed.

I was gifted a certificate at work and I heard amazing things from my co-workers. Unfortunately I did not have the best experience. My male nail tech was not familiar with the dip process. He required assistance from another male nail tech. Overall, I wasnt happy and he knew I was disappointed. I have not been back to use the rest of my gift certificate.

This spring was the first time in my life (now 45) that I began to have my nails done on a regular basis. Someone at my recommended, she has been wonderful to work with. She is very patient because I have tremors and cannot hold my hands still. Every time without exception my nails look absolutely wonderful when I walk out. The entire staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Anna was my technician and she was amazing! My nails looked fabulous and she was very knowledgeable and informative. This place is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and they give quality! My nails last a long time and look good for a long time!

Michael and French Tip are THE BEST. I have never been to a better salon. My nails always look perfect and last a long time. Michael (the owner) is so funny and nice, and his attention to detail is unmatched. He takes the time to make sure every customer is happy. Their waxing and threading services are also great.

Tldr- Suspect tools were not sanitized. Manicurist was rude. Muttered things under his breath and kept admonishing me for not relaxing my fingers or bending them to his desire.___________________________________________A very strange experience...We called ahead and asked if we needed an appointment. They told us we could just walk in. We arrive and the techs seem genuinely confused with our presence. Asked it we had an appointment, and we explained the call. Waited for 40+ minutes. The group next to us had an appointment, and waited an hour past theirs to be seen. No one explained to the customers which colors were gel, dip, etc.My nail technician appears and tells me to sit. Where? I dont know. He then says: Do you even want your nails done? Sit! I follow him to his desk, and give him my color. He whips his glasses off, mutters something, and heads back to get my dip. He asked what shape, I say I dont care. He repeats over and over again, square, round corner, I nod and say yes. He then says, well- square round corner? Going to answer?!At this point... I pass all of this off to him having a bad day, and perhaps a language barrier. Oh well, not a huge deal at this point. Dealing with customers all day is hard.Then...He brings out a dirty file (it is black with white filings all over it) and begins to *aggressively* file my nails. He does not touch my cuticles (I am now thankful for this). He proceed with dip, all while instructing me at me to Relax fingers!, sighing at every movement, and muttering other unintelligible things with a foul tone.At this point, my mothers nails are done. She is happy, and had a good experience. Must. be. nice.But now, the bacterial climax of the story. He bends down, opens a drawer, rummages around and finds a pair of cuticle scissors, and goes to cut. *NO*No where in the entire manicure did I have any evidence that anything was sanitized. I looked around at other customers, with neat bins of sanitized equipment and bowls of soap for the drill bits. I later looked up this locations license, and it looks like they were written up for not having clean tools months ago, and failed their inspection. However, they recently passed an inspection mere weeks ago.

Great customer service, friendly staff, clean, reasonably priced, extensive selection of nail polish colors. Massage chairs, bottled water. I was looking for a salon close to my apartment that takes walk-ins without a long wait. French Tip Nails & Wax fit the bill. I will definitely be back.

You spend years trying to find the nail technician that is perfect for you. Mine is MOLLY, she is everythinnnnggg and gets me right every time. I have recommended her to so many of my close girlfriends, and also my residents at my apartment complex I work at.

I’ve been getting my nails done bimonthly for years so my review carries weight regarding nails - I refuse to go anywhere else but French tip nails!Even after I moved further away I still won’t change salons because Michael and his entire staff are fantastic. They’re quick when I am rushing, always precise, and I leave with a perfect experience and the best nails in town everytime!Also, this is the only spot in the Overland Park (or even Kansas City area that I’ve been to) that actually gives real pedicure massages! I love French Tip nails salon!

Visited here from out of town with hopes of getting a regular pedi and gel manicure. Was seated right away. With two minutes I was bleeding. The man went on to tell me my toenail was ingrown and had to be fixed, even with my push back. I was so turned off right away. He moved to my next foot and tried to use a drill, even with me saying no drill, I had to be extra stern to get him to put down the drill. I believe he discounted my pedi ($25) and I refused to let him do my nails. I won’t be back.

My Mom and I wanted to pamper my sister with a mani/pedi before her first baby is born. We wanted a smaller nail studio where we could converse easily and wouldnt feel like a number in a herd of other women. FRENCH TIP NAILS & WAX SALON/LEE was the perfect choice! Our appointments began on time and ended exactly within the time frame they quoted. The owners were extremely friendly as was their entire staff. We shared a lot of laughs and made awesome memories. What a nightmare! Please don’t go to this nail salon...the nail tech CUT my cuticles so close! TWICE! I couldn’t stop bleeding from the second cut. The manager had to intervene and finally got my bleeding under control. They didn’t charge me for the pedicure because, I guess, they felt badly about me getting hurt. Needless to say, I left the place frustrated and hurt. The nail tech didn’t finish my manicure because I asked her to stop!!! Check out my finger...Never going back!!!!

Very friendly and do a good job. I have been to several nail salons in the area since moving from TX (which has awesome nail salons). This is the first where they always greet me at the door and seem happy to have my business. They do a good job with gel nails...mine have lasted a long time before needing a new.

My mom and I got pedicures. They both look very nice. However they were very rushed. And there was not any friendliness at all really. We felt rushed through the line instead of relaxed. In and out in about 20 minutes.

I came in for a fill and a pedicure. I was just about complete with my pedicure when the color I chose was not the best. My fault of course. I told her I didnt care for the color I chose. I told her when she was about the fourth toe in. She became VERY upset, and said I should have told her this before she continued to the fourth toe. She was upset!!! I was very surprised by her reaction. It was quit funny because It was unnecessary. I was too done at that point asked her to finish so I could leave.

I always come here with my friend for dip nails! The customer service here is exceptional. Danny goes above and beyond for his customers. He’s an absolute perfectionist. I’ve had the worst time finding an amazing nail salon. Once I met Danny, I refuse to go anywhere else. Ignore all the other reviews, make sure to try this place out!!!

Got a great pedicure, but the man who did my manicure sliced me pretty bad on two fingers and little cuts on three of my other fingers and left my nails a mess. I asked to at least get a discount, they offered a $10 gift certificate when one of their employees cuts my fingers. Ive only had a great experience there, but this one time makes me not want to come back. Ever.

Great first time experience. The other day I had got a gel fill at another location and didnt have time for a pedicure. So today I went here for the first time. I wanted the same color as my nails. They found the color with no hesitation and was very accommodatin. Great service and will be back.

Make and appointment and show up on time! If you do that you will have a lovely experience at French Tip. The do accept walk-ins but its usually a long wait. French Tip specializes in SNS (dip powder). If you havent heard of it, look it up. I absolutely LOVE it. Usually my nail polish chips or peels off but with SNS Im only getting my nails done every 3-4 weeks and thats only because of growth. The colors is still shiny and no chips weeks later. The process takes about 2 hours so expect to be there for awhile.

Lee is the best in town!! Great customer service, friendly atmosphere and everyone is so nice! I tried the powder polish for the first time, love it!!

Rude. Acted like doing our nails was a huge burden to them. We made and appointment and everything. My dip turned out ok. The place I go back home does a way better job. My friends nails look horrible. The way he filed them down they are all leaning and not shaped well. Will not be going back. Also, they only take cash for tip. No signs and didnt mention on the phone. Acted annoyed when I was digging for some cash. Shouldnt have tipped him with how uncomfortable I felt and treated so poorly. But was trying to get the heck out of there. It is asham the place is very nice appearance wise.

I never post negative reviews...BUT my first nail salon experience in OP was an absolute nightmare. French Tips is not the place you want to visit if youre in the area unless you prefer your natural nails ripped in half and the majority of your fingers bleeding by the end. Having acrylics for over 8 years, Im fairly certain I know what Im talking about. I have a card through my apartment complex that offers me a discount here, and Id rather pay full price anywhere else. I wish I had read more reviews before going as tears could have been avoided today. Lesson learned.

Probably will never go here again because they ruined my nails. They used a drill to sand down the surface of my nails and remove the overgrown cuticles and by doing that they drilled grooves in my nails at the base and on one nail they left grooves along the whole nail from the base to the tip. They also werent able to completely remove the dip when I came back to get it removed and left a splodgy top coat that looked terrible. They also didnt fully tell me the price of how much it cost to get the dip and then remove it, which honestly might be my faukt for not asking but it seemed like a cheap tactic to me. Im sure this doesnt happen all the time but its enough for me not to want to come back. Its taken 1.5 months for the grooves to grow out enough for me to cut them out. Sorry but 1/10 would not suggest.

My wife just came back from here. Tears in her eyes, they tore half of her nails when they removed her acrylic nails. They were already a month old, should have come off just fine as she has been getting them for YEARS. On top of it, they charged $40?! High rate had the service been executed without issue, but seriously? They made no attempt to even change the method that was giving such terrible results and spoke in a foreign language so she couldnt understand what they were saying about it the whole time.The one redeeming quality was the girl who painted her nails after the fact. For $40...

Never come here for a service. Poor customer service . I spent 72 dollars and my toe polish came off the same day and my dip cracked a couple days after being applied. I was told I could have a new set and go in to have it redone and am told no . I will never visit this establishment again. Save your money and go elsewhere .

If you want your nails to look like a 5 year old did them, come here. I got a colored powder and it was so messy, thick, and uneven. I asked the technician about 4 times to try and fix them but it was almost like we weren’t even looking at the same nails. I had no idea she was done, that’s how poor of a job it was.

I took my friend in for her birthday so that we could both get pedicures. They did a great job on both of us (I guess, because mine chipped within 2 weeks when it normally lasts a month), but when it came time to pay, the total was $80, and all I had on me were twenty dollar bills, so I handed her a total of $100.....no change was ever given, so our tech(s) assumed they were getting $10 tips each. Now, if it was such a big deal, I should have said something and gotten my change, sure, but it made me feel awkward, and while Im not totally against tipping that much, Im on a very tight budget right now, and to assume the tip is what makes me upset. Im a regular there, and I love my normal technician, but this assumption sort of ruined the nice trip wed had. As a service provider, you should never expect a tip, but just be grateful when you receive one. Just makes me not want to go back...(a few weeks go by........)Okay, originally I gave them 4 stars, but now were down to 1. About a week after my pedicure tipping incident, I went to Molly for a p/w fill. Of course, she did great, but at the end, she asked if I had cash for a tip (grrr!). I said yes, and gave her a few bucks and left. Since shes been out of town, I walked in today (9/8) and Michael did a p/w fill for me again, and he made sure to tell me there was no tip line on the cc receipt once I handed him my card for payment. Theyve recently changed from having the tip line to not, so while I understand where they might be coming from, too much emphasis is put on me tipping, rather than making sure I like their work. Put a sign up on the door or something! I handed him $5 and asked for ones in exchange, and he handed me a one dollar bill, again, assuming whatever he wanted as a tip.I will never be back. Keep the darn tip line and maybe youll get one more often. I know the cc company charges you per purchase, but thats not my problem.

Avoid this nail salon like the plague! They grossly overcharge you and do things that cost even more without asking you. They also FORCE you to tip in cash and get irritated when you pay with card. Rude staff and once I went in there they were playing 12 years a slave for the customers to watch..... While we were getting our nails done. They said my gel mani and pedi would last 5-6 weeks and it lasted 5 days. Worst nail salon Ive ever been to and I will never go back.

I had the worst experience with gel polish. They dont last more than a week when I complained they gave me the same bad technician who patched up the nails and 2 days later my nails are chipping again. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

The worst waxing ever. the lady DOUBLE DIP her wax, did not PUT GLOVES ON. And used the SAME strips over and over again to take out the Hairs. OVER PRICED. Never go to this place for any waxing.
